Author's Note: So sorry this chapter is not really good. I had a bit of a bump to get over. Hopefully the chapters afterward are decent. Please do let me know what you think
Chapter Eight: Five Minutes
As soon as I was alone with Zacarias, I turned and looked down at him to see menacing dark eyes staring at me. The earth quaked beneath my feet.
"I know I know," I stared, "I took away your choice. I get that your mad, angry, or what not but I couldn't just let you die. Stop with the theatrics."
Next thing I know, I'm slammed against the cave wall and held by my neck. "I'm not mad or angry. I do not feel. Do you not know the danger you put everyone in," he snarled viciously and then ripped into my neck. I bit back a scream as I fought against him.
"Please, Zacarias, don't do this. You're a good man. Stop," I pleaded as black began to fill my vision. I felt him release my neck and looked up at him as I slumped to the floor. Shock seemed to gather in his eyes right before he misted out into the night.
"Oh my god," I heard a feminine voice gasp and then strong hands were grabbing me as black consumed me.
