Merry Christmas everybody! I hope you all had a great Christmas and if you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you had a good time celebrating whatever holiday you do celebrate. I'm glad that you guys seemed to enjoy the last chapter. I'd like to say thanks for all the reviews. And thank you to the person who pointed out my mistakes in the last chapter! I had been so set on getting the next chapter out that I ignored very important details, so thank you for pointing that out. I've edited those errors and the fixed version is up. Anyhoo! Part two of the duel is here and it'll be intense. So yeah, there will be quite a bit of drama in this chapter guys. Anyhoo, before I start rambling, onward with the chapter!

Mokuba watched his brother's duel continue from outside the seal. Seto had somehow managed to get rid of Alissa's Ally of Justice Decisive Armor by using a combination of his Shrink card and one of his three Blue Eyes White Dragons that he had managed to draw and play before Alissa's next turn. However, this move had nicked away 1100 of Alissa's life points. Mokuba could see in his brother's eyes that attacking Alissa was the last thing he wanted to do, but he needed to buy himself some more time to talk some sense into her. He knew that he would have no problem defeating Sam, but how could he beat Alissa too when he could barely bring himself to attack her the first time, let alone a second or third? Luckily for Seto, Sam was not completely unscathed either. Seto had managed to take out half of Sam's life points in only a few turns. However, the fact that it had been so easy to take out half of Sam's life points was worrying Seto. Sam was making it too easy to make a comeback. It was currently Seto's turn and he only had 700 points left; he had lost 300 in a previous attack to his Judge Man. Alissa still had 2900 life points while Sam had 2000.

"Hurry up and make your move Kaiba! We can't keep the Great Beast waiting forever!"

"Hmph. Gladly. Defeating you will be an easy task and your defeat should knock some sense into Alissa."

"Oh I bet you'd love to knock some sense into me wouldn't you? I hate to break it to you but I'm not afraid of you anymore."

"What are you talking about?"

"Don't play dumb! You know what I'm talking about!" She caught sight of Mokuba, Tristan, and Tea's confused looks and smirked. "On second thought. Maybe I will remind you. Then we'll see if you still have your supporters."

"What are you talking about Alissa?"

"Your brother is abusive. Do you still idolize him now Mokuba? Now that you know that he's a monster."

"No! That isn't true! My brother would never do something like that!"

"You don't know your brother as well as you think you do. He abused me." She turned her attention back to Seto with a harsh glare. "Well? Aren't you going to say anything? You're usually much more articulated."

"It isn't true."

"Don't patronize me! You're seriously going to have the audacity to deny the truth? I remember Seto. Now make your move before we term your lack of play a forfeit!"

"Very well! I play Pot of Greed, which allows me to draw two cards! I place one card face down and end my turn."

"What a pathetic final move. You should've attacked when you had the chance. I play Monster Reborn to bring back my Ally of Justice Decisive Armor (3800, 3800) in Attack Mode! Now my monster attack his Blue Eyes White Dragon and finish him off!" Alissa's monster released a loud screech and fired an attack straight at Seto.

"No Seto!"

"You activated my Trap Card Tyrant Wing, allowing my monster to gain 400 Attack points!" The attack hit Seto's Blue Eyes, destroying it with a burst of light. Seto's life points dropped to 300.

"You may have saved yourself for now, but you've left yourself completely defenseless. Soon you'll be finished!"

"Alissa snap out of it!"

"And if I don't? What will you do Seto? Hit me?"

"Alissa please! Seto would never do that! You've been tricked into hating my brother!"

"The only person who tricked me is your monster of a brother."

"Alissa please! What would your family say if they saw you acting like this?"

"Oh please. That psychology shit may have worked on Alister, but I'm not letting it work on me!"

"Alissa you need to snap out of it now!"

"You don't control me anymore!"

"Alissa you have to stop this!"

"Stay out of this Tea. This doesn't concern you!"

"Tea's right. Kaiba may be an arrogant jerk, but he'd never do something like that!"

"You would know wouldn't you? After all, you guys are best friends." Sarcasm dripped from Alissa's voice.

"Alissa you have to remember. My brother cares about you. He wouldn't-."

"Shut up Brat, you'll be next!" Sam hissed, beginning to grow irritated with the constant back and forth.

"No he won't be," Alissa snapped. "You told me we'd leave everyone else besides Seto out of this. Leave Mokuba alone. He's just a kid."

"They're trying to mess with your head and you're allowing it to work!"

"Shut up Sam and make your move! The others may end up feeding the Beast but I'm not letting it be by my hand! The only person I want to see suffer is Seto!"

"And suffer he will! I place one card face down and end my turn!"

"Oh I'm really suffering now."

"Patience Kaiba. You'll be finished soon enough."

"Hmph. We'll see. I play Different Dimension Dragon (ATK 1200, DEF 1500) in Attack Mode! Now my dragon, attack Sam's life points directly!" The dragon attacked, bringing Sam's life points down to 800.

"Alright Seto!"

"I end my turn by placing one card face down."

"Are you sure you want to end the duel with such a lame move like that?"

"If it's such a lame move then why don't you go ahead and attack me?"

"Gladly. Ally of Justice Decisive Armor attack his dragon and finish off the rest of his life points!" Alissa's monster attacked. Seto smirked and raised his arm with a flourish.

"You activated my facedown card Negate Attack!" The monster's attack bounced off a force field that surrounded Seto's monster, leaving both his monster and his life points unharmed. Alissa frowned. This was the second time that he had somehow managed to remain in the duel despite her strong monster.

"Consider yourself lucky that you haven't had a Light type monster in your hand the last two turns, 'cause if you did you'd be finished without having a chance to defend yourself!"

"Relax Alissa," Sam said with a smirk. "He'll be finished soon enough." She smirked.

"I end my turn by placing a card face down."

"Alissa please you have to remember!"

"Shut it Mokuba. I've had enough of you trying to protect your brother!"

"I know you remember him Alissa! You have to try!"

"I said shut up!"

"Alissa snap out of it!"

"Don't listen to them Alissa, they're trying to distract you."

"Alissa please!"

"Don't listen to them!"

"I know you remember!"

"Fight him!"

"Everyone just shut up!" Alissa held the side of her head as images flashed through her head.

"What do you want?"

"I wanted to make sure you weren't planning on doing anything stupid."

"You don't have to waste your time. I don't need a babysitter. Besides, I thought you didn't owe me anything." He let out a sigh. She was being difficult.

"You're being-."

"What? Childish? Why don't you just leave then? I'm clearly too much to handle."

"That isn't true. Why are you beating yourself up over something so trivial?"

"Your life isn't something trivial!" she yelled, voice cracking. "This is the second time you've nearly died because of me! How many more times is something like this going to happen before your luck runs out?" It finally hit him. She wasn't mad at him like he thought she was. She was mad at herself. She still blamed the whole situation with Tony on herself.

"I took that knife for you because I wanted to. It was my own decision to gamble with my own life. It wasn't your fault."

"If it wasn't for me you wouldn't have been in that position in the first place."

"You're so infuriating! When are you going to see that everything isn't your fault?"

"When it stops being my fault!"

"You need to snap out of it now! Stop feeling sorry for yourself!"

"Then stop trying to fix me!"

"I'm not trying to fix you, I'm trying to make you stop acting like an idiot and-."

"No! You're trying to fix something that can't be fixed! When are you going to realize that I ruin everything I touch? Just give up on me; your life and everyone else's will be safer that way. Besides, I'm a lost cause."

"Seto Kaiba doesn't give up on anything."

Seto and Alissa rested on top of a blanket that was laid on the soft, green grass outside the Kaiba mansion. The mid March air was cool and crisp. The stars were bright and twinkling above them.

"Okay smart ass, what's that one?" she asked, pointing to another star formation.

"That one's easy. That one is Vela. It represents the sail of the Argo Navis constellation."

"Thanks for the astronomy lesson." She turned on her side so she could face him. "Can I read your palm?" He looked at her, his face blank.

"Why?"

"It'll be fun. Come on, please?"

"You really want to engage in such childish activities? You realize all that stuff about fate is fake don't you?" She grinned at him, giving him his answer. He sat up and she followed with a large grin.

"Hand." He held out his right hand to her. She quickly slapped it away. "No idiot, I need your left hand." He wanted to tell her how ridiculous she was acting but he held his tongue and held out his left hand to her. She took his hand in hers and brought his hand closer to her face. The close contact to her warm skin sent the all too familiar tingle across his skin.

"This line right here," she paused to run a finger along one of the lines of his palm. "This is your life line. Yours is pretty long so you'll live to be an old fart. Congratulations." She paused to look up at him, her grin widening when she caught sight of him frown. She brought her gaze back down to his palm and traced another line.

"This is your fortune line. It's very long so you'll be rich." She grinned up at him. "Well richer. This one here is your head line. It's very long and straight, which shows you have a logical and direct way of thinking. It looks like it might even be a double line too, which means you have strong mental abilities. The last line is your heart line. It's pretty short, which shows that you are usually uninterested in the affairs of love. However, the line is pretty deep which means that for those you do love, your affections are very stable." She released his hand and looked up at him.

"Thanks for sharing that mystic mumbo jumbo."

"Glad to be of service," she said with a flourish and bowing her head. She looked up at the sky just in time to see a bright light flash across the dark night.

"Make a wish!" she said happily, shutting her eyes tight.

"I have all that I need." He gripped her hand and she opened her eyes to stare at him. She smiled before inching closer to him and resting her head on his shoulder. The two watched the night sky as the stars fell in a show of lights.

"You idiot!" Alissa ducked as another solid object was lobbed at her head. She ducked, the book that had been aimed at her missing her head by a mere few inches.

"Tony please! I'm sorry!" The dark haired young man quickly covered the distance between them and brought his hand across Alissa's cheek roughly. She let out a small scream and moved her hand to clutch her stinging cheek.

"Do. Not. Interrupt. Me," he hissed, punctuating every word.

"I'm sor-." Another stinging slap cut her off.

"Shut up." She bit her lip with a small whimper. He scoffed in disgust. "You're pathetic."

"I'm not," she said quietly.

"What was that?"

"I'm not pathetic." He slapped her again, this time on the other cheek, sending her head roughly to the side. He grabbed her jaw in a tight grip and turned her face towards his own.

"Say it again. I dare you." When she didn't say anything, he squeezed her jaw harder, earning a whimper of discomfort from the dark haired girl.

"Ow! Stop please!"

"Admit you're pathetic and I will."

"Okay! I'm pathetic! Now please let go! You're hurting me!" He smirked and released her already bruising jaw. He suddenly trapped her lips in a bruising kiss. She moaned in discomfort and pushed against his chest.

"No. Stop it Tony."

"Shut up." His silver eyes flashed with anger.

"Ow Tony please! You're hurting me!"

"I said shut up!" The last thing she saw was a fist flying towards her face before everything went dark.

Alissa stood frozen with her hands clutching her head. She had no idea where those memories came from. However, unlike the last memory, these ones were a lot clearer. They lacked the haze that the other one did. These three memories were real. What am I doing? I have to stop this duel. I have to protect Seto. Sam's voice brought her back into reality.

"You're finished Kaiba! I play Poison of the Old Man. This card allows me to either gain 1200 life points, or inflict 800 points of damage to my opponent. Can you guess which effect I'm going to use?" He paused to smirk in triumph. "Goodbye Mr. Kaiba!"

"Seto no!"

"Reveal facedown card Mystical Refpanel!" A creature with blue hair and a blue orb suddenly appeared on Alissa's side of the field. "This card allows me to switch the effect of your spell card to another target and I choose you Sam!" The creature turned slowly towards Sam.

"No! You bitch! You'll pay for this!"

"I'm doubtful. Mystical Refpanel go!" The creature released Sam's attack back at him. Sam released a strangled cry when the attack hit. He fell to his knees as his life points reached zero. The Orichalcos symbol on his head began to glow as the seal shrunk around his body. His eyes went blank and he collapsed forward onto the ground, motionless. Seto looked at Sam's fallen body in shock.

"Alissa?"

"Only one of us is allowed to leave the seal." She raised her right hand to touch her deck.

"Stop! What are you doing?"

"I'm forfeiting. I told you that only one of us can leave the seal and it has to be you."

"Since when are you a quitter? There has to be something we can do. Every card has a weakness."

"Do you not understand what I'm saying? Only the winner can leave the seal!"

"Then we'll both have to win."

"Well if you have any genius ideas I'd love to hear them. In case you forgot, I'm 2600 life points ahead of you!"

"Relax. Just let me think for a minute." An idea suddenly struck Alissa.

"Seto I've got it! We'll both forfeit!"

"I'm not a quitter."

"Well then I guess I'll forfeit and I'll lose."

"Fine! We'll both do it!"

"On the count of three."

"Are you sure this will work?"

"We'll find out. One."

"Two."

"Three!" The duo raised their right arms and touched their decks at the same time. The seal exploded with a bright flash, sending the remaining duelists, as well as Sam's unconscious body backwards.

"Seto? Alissa? Guys!"

Alrighty there's the next chapter. I researched the cards used in this chapter to try and make the duel as accurate as possible. Hopefully the website I used was accurate. Anyhoo! There's that chapter. I hope you all had a very happy holiday. Next chapter should be up in a few days. Let me know how the duel was. Peace out girl scouts and Happy Holidays again!
