Hey guys! So Frozen is seriously the cutest movie ever. I've seen it like four times. That's not an exaggeration at all. It's definitely one of my new favorite Disney films. It's right up there with Beauty and the Beast and Princess and the Frog for me. Anyhoo! Onwards with the next chapter.

Several tense minutes passed and the purple fog still hadn't cleared.

"We have to do something! He's been in there too long!"

"And what do you suggest we do? You know what the rules are. Whenever that freaky card is played, no one can enter the Seal or leave it until the duel is over."

"Well we can't just sit here. There has to be something we can do!"

"Hey look! The smoke cleared!" Alissa turned her attention to the duel and was happy to see that Tristan was right. The duelists could be seen again, and even better, Yami was still standing.

"Ugh but that thing is still there!"

"My Dreadscythe is still standing because it's indestructible. Not even I can get rid of it."

"Oh no. Does that mean the Pharaoh can't win?"

"The power of Underworld Circle allows me to bring back my Dark Magician!"

"Hmph, he may have a shot to win this after all."

"I place one card face down and end my turn."

"You're done Pharaoh."

"Not with my magic card in play. It allows me to bring back my Jack's Night!"

"Dreadscythe attack his Dark Magician now!"

"Not so fast! I activate Zero Gravity!" The attack halted as all monsters were switched from Attack Mode to Defense Mode.

"I activate my trap card, Spirit Hunting. This card switches my Dreadscythe back into Attack Mode." Dreadscythe attacked, destroying Yami's two monsters.

"Oh no!"

"Rafael just destroyed two of his monsters at once!"

"It's my move now Rafael and my magic card allows me to bring back my Dark Magician Girl! Next I'll activate Altar of Restoration! By discarding two cards from my deck, I can rescue another monster from my graveyard. The card I chose is the Eye of Timaeus! Now Timaeus and Dark Magician Girl fuse together to form Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight! Now destroy his Dreadscythe!" The attack hit, filling the room with a bright light. When the light cleared, Rafael's monster was still standing.

"Weren't you listening Pharaoh? My Dreadscythe is indestructible."

"I place this face down and end my turn Rafael."

"Now it's time to end this Pharaoh."

"Not so fast, I'm using my Underworld Circle to bring back my Queen's Knight."

"Just face it Pharaoh. Your strategy isn't working. By discarding one card I can activate Orichalcos Sword of Sealing. Now Dreadscythe attack Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight!"

"No!"

"Pharaoh!"

"This duel is over!" The attack hit, destroying Yami's monster and hiding the duelists in a cloud of smoke. When the smoke cleared, Yami was still standing with only ten life points left.

"What? How are you still sanding?"

"I activated my Reduction Barrier, which means the number of life points I lose is reduced to ten percent. This duel is still on Rafael. I'll fight till my last life point is gone and that's a promise."

"It won't be long now Pharaoh. Soon, your soul will belong to Dartz."

"You've been brainwashed Rafael, blinded by your own darkness. But I know there's still good inside of you and I'm going to bring it out! I'll use my Underworld Circle to bring back my Big Shield Gardna. Then I'll use Pot of Greed, which allows me to draw two cards. Now you're going to pay for betraying your heart. I activate the card Spider Web which allows me to use a card from your graveyard."

"What's the point of all this Pharaoh?"

"I'm going to use your Monster Reborn to destroy the darkness in you heart by bringing back a monster that saved your life, Guardian Eatos! Then I summon the Claw of Hermos!"

"Hey that's Joey's card!"

"Now, Hermos and Queen's Knight, fuse together to form Goddess Bow. That doubles the attack points of Guardian Eatos! And since Guardian Eatos is no longer in your graveyard, your Dreadscythe gets weaker."

"What's the point of this Pharaoh? Our monsters are equal now so if you attack, they're both destroyed. But Dreadscythe comes back!"

"We'll see about that Rafael. I have a few more surprises planned. Eatos attack his Dreadscythe! I activate the special ability of my Goddess Bow. Now every time your Dreadscythe revives itself, Eatos can attack again!" The group outside the Seal watched as Rafael's monster was attacked multiple times and then finally destroyed.

"Now do you understand what you've done? You turned your back on your monsters. Dartz fed you lies to make you turn your back on everything you once cared about."

"There's only one problem Pharaoh. The Seal still needs one soul. So why don't we finish this duel off and see who it takes?"

"No! Rafael wait!"

"Too late. It's my move. I'll use the magic of Underworld Circle to bring back my Guardian Grarl."

"What are you doing?"

"Next I'll activate my Soul Charge magic card to bring back even more of my monsters from my graveyard. That's it, my Guardians are free from the graveyard."

"That's true. But what happens now?"

"You know what happens Pharaoh. For each monster I brought back, I have to pay 500 life points. Game over."

"Rafael!" Yami started to run towards Rafael as the Seal closed around him. He stopped when he saw Guardian Eatos appear in the sky.

"It's Eatos. The darkness has lifted." The Seal on Rafael's head vanished and the blue stone that was on a cord around his neck shattered.

"Hey what happened to the Seal?"

"Yeah doesn't it usually put on some weird, green, laser show."

"Yeah. It usually takes someone's soul too?"

"Rafael you're still here? Okay I'm lost."

"I have a theory. The power of the Seal of the Orichalcos comes from the darkness of the person who played it. Rafael was able to conquer that darkness."

"So I'm free?" Suddenly the ground began to shake.

"What the hell is going on?"

"Oh no!"

"What is it? Is it an earthquake?"

"It's much worse than that!"

"The building's collapsing!"

"Oh no!"

"You guys need to get out of here now."

"He's right." Suddenly the ground began to crack and open up, separating the group from the only exit.

"We're too late!"

"Mr. Kaiba up here!' The group looked up to see one of Kaiba Corp's helicopters heading towards them.

"It's Roland!"

"Thank God!"

"We're saved!"

"Follow me!"

"Right behind you Little Kaiba!"

"Let's go dorks!" Alissa climbed into the helicopter with Tea, Tristan, and Mokuba. She stopped halfway up the ramp and looked back.

"Wait! We have to wait for the Pharaoh!"

"She's right! He's still back there!" The group let out small shouts when the building shook again and even more cracks began to form.

"We have to go back!"

"Mr. Kaiba we need to go now." Alissa jumped off the ramp and started to run towards the stairway. A hand around her wrist stopped her.

"Let go! We can't leave him back there!"

"Alissa stop being an idiot."

"No let go!"

"Alissa stop. There's no reason for you to go back and endanger yourself as well. Don't be stupid." The stairway collapsed completely, throwing up a bunch of debris and smoke. As the stairway fell, Yami's body appeared.

"Rafael no!" Yami crawled to the side of the ledge and looked over.

"Mr. Kaiba we need to go!" The helicopter slowly began to lift from the ground.

"No wait!"

"Mr. Kaiba quickly." Seto jumped onto the helicopter, his grip still tight on Alissa's wrist.

"Seto wait! We can't leave without him!"

"Lower the copter." The copter was lowered close enough for Yami to jump in.

"Hurry up man! Jump!" Yami jumped into the helicopter, barely making it inside. The group watched as the building crumbled away to reveal a temple.

"Whoa look at that!"

"I guess that's what the Paradius headquarters really looks like." Yami held up a small computer chip to Seto.

"Here Kaiba. Rafael gave it to me." Seto pushed the chip into his cell phone and waited.

"Well. What is it?"

"It's a map."

"To where?"

"Dartz's lair."

"Roland, follow this map." Seto tossed his phone to Roland who gave a quick 'yes sir' in response before heading back to the cockpit.

"Um guys. I think we have company." Upon hearing Tristan speak, the group turned to look outside the helicopter. Several other helicopters were flying beside theirs. One of the pilots pointed straight ahead.

"I think they want us to follow them."

"We don't really have a choice do we?"

"Pharaoh?" Yami looked up when Alissa spoke.

"Yes Alissa?"

"I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I shouldn't have said all that stuff. I was being a bitch. I'm sorry."

"You had every right to be upset. I knew that card was evil but I let the my rage get the better of me."

"I may have had the right to say all those things to you but that doesn't make it the right thing. I know the last thing you wanted to do was hurt Yugi. I'm sorry for saying that you'd want to do anything else besides protect him."

"It's alright Alissa."

"You'll be able to save them right?"

"Yes. They're counting on me. I won't let them down again."

"Pinky swear?" Alissa held out her pinky and Yami looked at it in confusion.

"I don't understand."

"Link our pinkies together." Yami linked his pinky with Alissa's.

"Now what?"

"State your promise."

"I promise I will get everyone back."

"And I promise to stop being a bitch. Now push your thumb inside your hand and seal it with a kiss." Yami paused with an uncomfortable look on his face.

"Um."

"Kiss the finger you moron," she said with a laugh. "There. Now the promise is sealed." She unlinked her pinky from Yami's with a small smile.

"This is as far as we're permitted to go." The commander's voice dragged Alissa's attention from Yami. "Good luck out there and thank you for your help. You're doing a great service."

"Hmph. I'm doing this for my company."

"Well if you succeed in beating Dartz, you'll be saving a lot more than just your company."

"Roland. Let's move out." The group piled back into Kaiba's helicopter and headed straight towards the dark clouds in the distance. The strong winds and typhoons shook the helicopter, sending anyone who was unlucky enough to be standing to the ground.

"Are you sure flying through this weather is the only way there? There has to be a smarter way to get to Dartz's lair that isn't going to get us all killed."

"Stay calm. I'm sure we'll be fine. Dartz probably wants us to reach him."

"Hey look! What is that?" Alissa pointed to the temple resting on the island in the distance.

"That must be the place!" As soon as the helicopter landed and the group disembarked, Alissa felt a fearful chill crawl up her spine.

"We've arrived at the heart of evil."

"Hmph. Do you always have to be so dramatic?" The group entered the temple and walked down a long corridor.

"This place is creepy."

"I agree. And I thought Pegasus had a creepy place."

"I'm not really liking the snake theme."

"Will you dorks shut up? Why don't you go wait outside?"

"We need to stay together Kaiba. We're better as a team."

"Hmph. Whatever. Just tell your friends to stop complaining." The group of six stopped when they reached a large room that was dimly lit.

"Dude, what's with all the creepy carvings in the walls?"

"Oh my God! Look!"

"There's Mai and Weevil!"

"This must be everyone who lost their souls!"

"Yugi!"

"Oh what a touching reunion," a voice boomed through the room. Two torches that were set towards the far wall suddenly exploded with light and flames. The flames danced across the floor and took the form of a man. The flames faded and a tall man with light blue hair tied into a ponytail that reached his knees.

"It's Dartz!"

"We're you expecting someone else Pharaoh?" His gaze met the group's, revealing his green and gold colored irises.

"I want my company back so can it with the small talk!"

"And for the last time, return our friends!"

"I'm afraid that's not possible Pharaoh."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean their souls have already been put to use. Their life force now supplies power to the greatest creature that ever lived!"

"Now what do we do?"

"My ten thousand year old collection is almost complete. Once I get the souls from you two the beast can rise again."

"Wait, you've been stealing souls for ten thousand years? Do you know how many lives you've ruined?"

"Millions!" The torches that were set around the room suddenly lit, bathing the room in an eerie yellow light. The group gasped when they saw that every inch of the room, including the floor and the ceiling, had people carved into it.

"Since I've been collecting souls for ten thousand years, this room is quite the history lesson."

"So some of these people lived in the past."

"Now you're getting it."

"Oh please. You expect us to believe this junk?"

"Duel me and I'll be happy to make a believer out of you."

"Then let's get to the duel and can it with the small talk."

"Wait Kaiba. You can't do this alone."

"Then why don't you join him Pharaoh. That way I'll be killing two birds with one stone."

"Alright ready Kaiba?"

"I'm way ahead of you." All three duelists flipped out their duel disks.

"Well then gentlemen, let the duel commence!" The group watched the duel begin. By the end of both Seto and Yami's turn, the group was grinning.

"Alright! They both summoned major league monsters on their first turn! Dartz better watch out!" Dartz began to laugh.

"Those pathetic cards won't help you here gentlemen. I play a game where the winner takes all and the loser pays the ultimate price!" Strong winds suddenly rushed through the room, blowing out all the torches except the two at the front of the room.

"This card is made up of the darkness itself! Behold the Seal of Orichalcos!"

"No!" The familiar green seal formed around the three duelists, trapping them inside. Dartz played two monster cards then ended his turn.

"He's up to something."

"What do you mean Alissa?"

"Exactly what I said. This is the guy who has been stealing people's souls. Do you really think he did that by making weak opening moves like this? He's planning something."

"Don't worry Alissa. I'm sure my brother and Yugi are already thinking of a plan to beat Dartz." Alissa nodded slowly, but she couldn't shake the feeling of fear and dread that had started to settle in the pit of her stomach. Alissa's fear lifted a fraction when the pair was able to summon Master of Dragon Soldier.

"See, I told ya Alissa. Are they the Dream Team or what?"

"Now I activate my Trap Card Meteorain! With this card you lose the difference between my monster's attack points and your monster's defense points!"

"If my math is right, that leaves Dartz with nothing!"

"It's time for you to pay for what you've done. Go Master of Dragon Soldier!" The group watched as Dartz's monster was destroyed, hiding the villain in a cloud of smoke. When the smoke cleared, he was still standing.

"Nice try Pharaoh. Unfortunately your attack was in vain. Now watch this!" A burst of light shot up from the middle of the duel, blinding the audience of the duel.

"What's going on?"

"I don't know." When the light cleared, the duelists and their monsters were gone.

"Hey where'd they go?"

"Seto?"

"Pharaoh?"

"What do we do now?"

"I don't know." Suddenly, the missing duelists reappeared with a burst of light.

"Hey they're back!"

"No way! Dartz didn't lose a single life point!"

"Your attack didn't work Pharaoh. Thanks to the special ability of my Orichalcos Kyutora my attack damage is reduced to zero."

"This is crazy! How did he dodge an attack from their strongest monster?"

"I don't know but it's about to get a whole lot worse because I think it's Dartz's turn now!"

"Return to me Orichalcos Gigas!" The brown monster that was destroyed the previous turn suddenly appeared again.

"Ugh that thing's back and it's stronger than last time."

"You'll never defeat me gentlemen. Since my Gigas returned to me I can't draw any cards. No matter, everything that I need is already in my hand. Now I'll enhance the power of the Seal by playing this, Orichalcos Deuteros!" The seal suddenly began to pulse.

"What the hell is going on now?" A second ring appeared around the edge of the Seal.

"Oh no! What is that?"

"He added another layer to the Seal off Orichalcos."

"So what does that mean for Kaiba and the Pharaoh?"

"The first benefit of my Orichalcos Deuteros is the addition of five hundred life points each turn for every monster on my side of the field."

"How are we supposed to wipe him out?"

"Hm that's the point Mr. Kaiba. You aren't. It makes me invincible. Now Gigas, attack their Master of Dragon Soldier!"

"Nice try Dartz, but my dragon is too strong!"

"Kyutora absorb the damage! Now my Gigas returns and my life points are safe."

"That creep is going to keep doing that until his Gigas is strong enough to destroy their monster!"

"I place one card facedown on the field then I summon my Blade Knight. Since I only have one card in my hand, Blade Knight gains four hundred attack points. I think that's enough for now."

"Now I'll pick up from where I left off."

"Yugi hold on! I sacrifice my Blade Knight to activate my card Reflect Energy! Alright Yugi blow this freak away with your Dragon Soldier. Once you attack him, my Reflect Energy satellite will redirect the attack to his life points and wipe him out!"

"Dragon Soldier attack with Dragon Sabre Blast!"

"That freak is done!" To everyone's shock, Dartz's monster was destroyed.

"That attack was supposed to hit Dartz, not his monster."

"There's a force field. But how?"

"It's the second layer of the Seal. Whenever my life points are targeted, my Orichalcos Deuteros defends me. I make a sacrifice and your monster takes the hit."

"Oh no!"

"Which means, your dragon just attacked itself!"

"Oh no!"

"I play my Diffusion card!" The audience breathed an audible sigh of relief when the two monsters that were fused together separated, causing the attack to be negated.

"That was a close one."

"Yeah it was. How are they supposed to get rid of his life points with that stupid Orichalcos Deuteros and Kyutora on the field?"

"They'll think of something."

"Well they better do it fast 'cause that freak show just summoned four monsters in one turn!"

"You know what that means!" The group watched as Dartz's life points increased to 7500.

"Pay close attention to the mirror's reflection gentlemen."

"What's happening?"

"Each one of my Mirror Knights reflects something or someone on your side of the field. That dictates the value of their attack points."

"Oh no!" Dartz's monsters attacked, taking out Seto and Yami's monsters as well as five hundred of their life points.

"My Mirror Knights can't be destroyed so go ahead and try to attack."

"Am I the only one who is deeply concerned by the amount of defense Dartz has? How the hell are they supposed to beat this freak if his first line of defense can't even be destroyed?"

"Are you sure about that Alissa? Look!" Alissa watched as Seto used his facedown card, Ring of Destruction, to destroy Dartz's Mirror Knight Calling.

"Now when your knights are destroyed, they'll stay that way!" Maybe they will be okay. Sure, Dartz may have three times as many life points as they do, but now his defense is weaker. Dartz laughed as the heads of his knights began to crack.

"What's happening?" The silver metal of the knights' helmets fell away to reveal four familiar faces.

"Recognize anyone?"

"It's Pegasus, Joey, Yugi, and Mai!"

"How is this possible?"

"Don't you remember? I control your companions' souls."

"Let them go now Dartz!"

"Attack my knights and you'll be attacking your friends. You lose no matter what. You can't defeat me without destroying my monsters and you can't destroy my monsters without destroying the souls of your friends!"

For the sake of leaving the chapter at a somewhat reasonable spot, I'm going to end the chapter here. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter.
