Several hours later, Michaela, Andrew and Caroline walked out of the clinic to find the children. Jonathan, Isaiah and Albert had gone to Grace's Café for coffee. Laura stood up with Rose. Carrie and Grace were still sitting down.

"Is Pa going to be alright?" Caroline nodded.

"I think so."

"He'll need some time to recover, but I do believe he'll be okay."

"Good," Laura paused, "may we see him?"

"Maybe later Laura," Caroline looked around, "where are Mr. Edwards and Jonathan?"

"They went to the café with Albert. It was a long train ride Ma."

"Michaela," Sully said walking out of the clinic, "did you want me to take them out to the homestead?" She turned to him.

"If they would like to."

"Girls, I want you to go to Dr. Quinn and Mr. Sully's home for a while. Mr. Sully and their children Brian and Katie will be at the house."

"Ma, I want to be here with Pa."

"Laura please, for your sisters. You need to take care of Rose as well."

"I know Ma." Colleen and Andrew walked out of the clinic.

"I'll go with them Ma." Colleen stated.

"Thank you Colleen." She turned to them.

"I can take you home and get you settled. You will love my brother Brian and Katie. She's only two."

"And very active." Michaela laughed. "We left your brother alone with her."

"Yes Ma." She smiled. Carrie and Grace stood up as they walked towards the wagon. Carrie helped Grace into the back before she climbed in. Laura got into the wagon with Rose and Colleen got in and grabbed the reins.

"Will there be enough room for us here?" Laura asked and Colleen nodded.

"Yes." They went to the house and climbed out. "Brian? Katie?" She called out. Katie came rushing down the stairs.

"Colleen!" She squealed. Colleen scooped her up and hugged her.

"This is my sister Katie. Katie, this is Laura, Carrie, Grace and Rose." Katie stared at Rose for a long time. Then Brian came down the stairs.

"Colleen," he looked at their guests. "Hi."

"Brian, Ma has their Pa at the clinic. He was hurt really badly."

"Our brother is at the café." Carrie spoke up.

"I think I may go over there." He paused. "It was nice to meet you. I'm sure I'll see you at dinner." Brian smiled and walked out the front door.

Carrie and Grace sat at the table playing with Katie a few days later. Colleen, Sully, Michaela, Andrew, and Caroline walked in together. Carrie looked at her.

"Ma? How's Pa?" Caroline nodded.

"He's doing better Carrie."

"Can I go see him?" Caroline shook her head no.

"We're going to be going home on the train later. We'll all see him then. We were all in the clinic yesterday and I think it was too much for him."

"Okay." Grace started crying and Caroline picked her up.

"Where's Laura?"

"Right here Ma." Laura replied as she walked down the stairs with Rose.

"I'm going to miss this little girl." Colleen smiled as she took her from Laura. "I'll miss all of you, but she's so little and cute."

"I'm sure her Pa will think the same thing when we get home." Laura smiled. "He hasn't seen her in almost a week." Colleen nodded and ran her hand over Rose's head.

"Thank you for letting us stay in your home." Laura said to Michaela and Sully. They looked at each other and then nodded.

"It was nice to have you here; even though the circumstances around the situation." Laura nodded.

"I love it here in Colorado Springs, but I miss Walnut Grove. I want to get back to Almanzo and my students."

"You're a teacher?" Colleen asked and Laura nodded.

"You want to go to medical school because of your Ma, and my Ma was a teacher. So my sister Mary and I both became teachers." She smiled. Albert and Brian came down the stairs to see both their families standing in the doorway.

"It was nice to meet you Albert," Brian said.

"Yeah," Albert replied.

"Are you sure we can't go see Pa?" Laura asked and Caroline looked at her.

"The train will be coming soon. We should go get him."

"Where are Mr. Edwards and Mr. Garvey?" Carrie asked.

"They went back to the site, but your Pa is going home with us."

"Good."

"I'll help you take their bags out to the wagon Pa." Brian said. He and Albert headed upstairs.

"Maybe Pa will finally agree that it's dangerous working on the railroad." Laura stated and Caroline nodded.

"I hope so."

"We'll just have to remind him." Laura smiled.

"Yes we will." Albert and Brian walked past with the bags. Then a few minutes later, they walked back in.

"I don't want to say goodbye." Carrie said looking at Katie.

"I know," Caroline stated, "you have all been so wonderful to us." She said to Sully and Michaela.

"It was our pleasure. It was nice to see your family with ours." Sully stated putting his arm around Michaela and she nodded in agreement.

"We couldn't put you anywhere else. We were glad to have you here with us."

"If you ever find yourself in Walnut Grove, Minnesota, you'll be welcome in our home. Charles and I would be happy to have you any time." They walked out to the wagon. Michaela and Sully were in the front of the wagon while Caroline, the girls, Albert, and Brian were in the back. When they got to the clinic, Caroline and Sully helped Charles out to the wagon. The group headed to the train station. Right before the train left, Colleen hugged Laura. Sully and Charles shook hands while Michaela hugged Caroline. Brian and Albert shared a nod. Then the Ingalls family got on the train and headed back to Walnut Grove as the Cooper-Sully clan watched them go.
