Hello again guys! Midterms and assessments and all that crazy shit is over and I am officially on spring break! Thank the lord! Since I now have a week off, I finally had time to write this up! I hope all those who read my story enjoy!

"The Championship match is about to begin in Kaiba Land's Blue Eyes Fortress!" Roland's voice echoed across the park. An ecstatic roar came from the large crowd of spectators. Alissa stood with her friends on the second level balcony of the fortress.

"Man you really hooked us up with the best seats in the house Mokuba!" Tea replied, marveling at the great view the group had of the dueling arena.

"It was nothing. Let's just say I know some people who know some people in these parts," Mokuba responded with a huge grin.

"Hot shot," Alissa teased, lightly nudging the ebony haired boy.

"Hey look the match is starting! I'm going to cheer the loudest for my little Yugi!" Rebecca declared. Tea rolled her eyes at the young, freckled duelist.

"Yeah, you do that."

"Welcome to what may be the most anticipated duel ever played, the final duel of the Kaiba Corporation Grand Championship! Give it up for our current title holder Yugi Muto!" Roland announced, earning a cheer from the audience. The cheers grew louder as Yugi entered the dueling arena.

"And now our challenger, the Boy Wonder, Leon Wilson!" Leon entered with a serious frown.

"Let's do this. I fought long and hard to get here. It's always been my dream to meet you Yugi and now that I have, I've got myself a new dream, to defeat you!"

"The opponents have started talking trash which means the duel is ready to begin!" Roland announced loudly. Alissa smiled at Roland's theatrics.

"Who will be the winner?" Roland continued. "Leon Wilson or Yugi Muto?" The two duelists met in the middle of the arena and quickly shuffled each other's decks before returning to the respective sides of the field.

"And now to kick off the festivities, please welcome a very special individual!"

"I thought you'd never ask!" Joey said excitedly.

"He's talking about my brother you Nimrod!" Mokuba snapped, smacking Joey on the back of the head as Roland continued.

"A man without whom none of this could take place, the tournament's host Mr. Seto Kaiba!"

"Hmph, leave it ta Kaiba ta make dis tournament all about him," Joey scoffed.

"Well he did organize it and pay for it and built the theme park to host it so I'd say it is all about him," Duke pointed out.

"Now that I think about it, the only thing Kaiba didn't do in this tournament is duel."

"You're right Tea and let me tell you, he wanted to participate in this tournament more than anything. But he was too busy building Kaiba Land and improving our company's image. He's the only one who really deserves to face Yugi."

"Well I wouldn't go dat far Mokuba. I coulda been a contender."

"Oh please, you lost in your second duel. I almost beat Leon and now he has the title shot!"

"Yeah but if my brother dueled in the tournament he would've blown you all away." Alissa turned her attention to the brunet that stood on the third level balcony above.

"The KC Grand Championship Tournament was designed with one thing in mind, finding the only person besides myself who deserves to be called the greatest duelist in the world! So these two competitors will face off in one final battle to determine just that. Now, start the duel!"

"I'll start things off by summoning my Ferocious Forest Wolf in Attack Mode!" A wolf wearing a pink nightgown and cap appeared on Leon's side of the field with a howl.

"I end my turn."

"Very well. I'll start by activating a Magic card known as Polymerization and I'll use it to fuse two of my monsters together. Now, Gazelle and Berfomet fuse together to from Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast! Chimera, attack his Forest Wolf!" The two headed beast attacked, destroying it and bringing Leon's life points down to 3700.

"Way ta go Yug! Who's afraid of da Big Bad Wolf?" Joey cheered.

"Not Yugi!"

"Is this some kind of big joke to you?" Leon hissed. "I've been waiting my whole life for this moment and I plan to win big! Now check this out! My move! I'll start with my most devastating creature yet!" A small girl with a red cape and a basket appeared on Leon's side of the field in Defense Mode.

"Uh, I can't believe I know dis, but isn't dat Little Red Riding Hood?" Joey asked, scratching his head.

"I guess Leon still likes fairytales," Tea replied with a shrug of her slender shoulders.

"They aren't the sweet little characters you remember," Rebecca warned.

"Speaking of not being sweet, what's going on with Leon?" Tea asked.

"Yeah, ever since this duel started he's been a huge jerk!" Rebecca agreed.

"For once I agree with you dorks." Seto's voice from above had the group turning their attention to the brunet.

"I've been watching the competitors closely since the tournament began and something definitely seems different about that kid." The group turned their attention back to the duel as the King of Games took his turn.

"I summon Obnoxious Celtic Guardian in Attack Mode. Now attack Little Red Riding Hood with Celtic Blade Slash!" The elf like monster obeyed, slashing the fairytale character to bits.

"Way ta go Yug! Dese little fairytale freaks are nothin' compared ta Yugi's monsters!" Joey cheered.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that Joey. Everyone of Leon's monsters comes with an annoying little twist." Not long after Rebecca said this, Leon spoke.

"Now for Little Red Riding Hood's little twist. Once she's destroyed, I can transfer any level four warrior monster directly from my deck to the field. I summon my Forest Hunter in Attack Mode! Like most of my monsters, my Forest Hunter comes with a special ability. His lets him remove one beast or beast warrior monster from the game before he even attacks you! Forest Hunter, eliminate Chimera!" The hunter shot an arrow, destroying Chimera.

"Oh no! Yugi!"

"I'm telling you guys, Leon pulled out all these tricks when he dueled me. Although, when he dueled me he seemed to be having more fun than he is now."

"But what changed?"

"Maybe he's nervous? I mean he is going for the title now."

"That's true Alissa but being nervous and a complete jerk are two completely different things. Besides, Leon said that he's been waiting years to duel Yugi. You'd think he'd crack a smile or two while he's out there."

"With that I shall end my turn."

"You know something Yugi, ever since I first saw you duel you've been like a role model to me and I dreamed about facing you one day. And now that it's happening I can't even enjoy myself because I have a job to do!"

"A job to do? What does he mean?" Alissa asked, her brows furrowing in confusion.

"Mr. Kaiba! You've got to take a look at this Sir!" The group turned to face the upper balcony as one of Seto's workers ran to him with a piece of paper. Seto snatched it from him with an annoyed grunt.

"There was something fishy in Leon's profile so I ran another background check."

"Tell me this is some kind of a joke."

"I'm afraid it's true Herr Kaiba." Seto growled and turned his attention to his pink haired rival that appeared in the doorway behind him.

"So this is the final part of your twisted plan?"

"Yes and it took you long enough to figure it out."

"Throwing away your own life wasn't enough so you had to drag your own brother down with you?" The group gasped.

"Brother? He can't be serious!" Alissa exclaimed.

"Yes, it's all true. Leon Wilson is, in reality my younger brother, Leon von Schroder!" Zigfried turned to his younger brother as he continued to speak. "Za cat is out of za bag Leon. It is time to reveal za real reason you entered this tournament."

"Whatever you say Big Bro!"

"Wait, so dese two are brothers?"

"Pay attention Joey."

"All I had to do was make you believe I was za real threat in this tournament. You were so intent on stopping me; you were blinded from the truth. So vhile you vere foolishly exhausting your resources trying to uncover the truth about me, my brother was climbing the ranks of this tournament virtually unopposed. And now, a von Schroder is about to vin it all! Your biggest rival is about to reign victorious in your own tournament! And the timing couldn't be better since Schroder Corp is about to launch our new gaming system. Just imagine za publicity we'll get vhen a von Schroder beats the King of Games himself!"

"You mean you sabotaged my tournament just to sell a few lousy games?"

"If there's anyone who knows about lousy games it's you Herr Kaiba." Alissa clenched her hands into tight fists. She couldn't believe the nerve of this guy!

"I'm about two seconds away from marching up there and throwing his pathetically pampered ass off the side of this castle!" Alissa hissed. A hand on her arm had her looking down at the younger Kaiba.

"My brother will take care of him." Alissa nodded slowly before crossing her arms in front of her chest. That asshole better not plan on walking alone at night anytime soon.

"You've had your time in the spotlight Herr Kaiba. Now it's time for you to step aside. Soon the new age of Schroder Corp will begin!"

"Dis duel isn't over yet Zigfreak!"

"And Yugi won't lose!"

"You however may lose several of your teeth!"

"Whoa Alissa, down girl." She frowned but listened to the younger Kaiba.

"Should I stop the duel Mr. Kaiba?" Roland asked from the first level.

"If you disqualify Leon now, you'd be breaking za rules of your own tournament. Plus if you pull za plug before a champion is named, then your tournament vas one giant vaste of time. But that's only one man's opinion, you do vhat you think is best." Seto chuckled.

"There's a problem with your plan Zigfried. There's only one duelist talented enough to defeat Yugi and that's me. And as I see it, your plan only works if he loses, but then again I guess that's only one man's opinion isn't it Zigfried? So I'd say your brother has as much of a shot at winning as your company does of ever succeeding!"

"Whoa, that was low."

"Oh come on Tristan, the guy deserves it."

"Tea's right. No mercy."

"This championship duel will now continue as scheduled!" Seto announced.

"Alright Leon, it is time to prove your vorth as a von Schroder and crush Yugi Muto just like ve rehearsed it a thousand times!"

"Sheesh, who knew Ziggy was such a stage mom?"

"I won't let you down Bro."

"Leon are you really here to destroy Kaiba Corp or are you letting your brother control who you are?"

"Don't let these do-gooders turn you against me Leon. They vill never understand vhat our family has been through! Now crush Yugi Muto so you can attain the championship title you deserve! It's your duty as a Schroder!"

"I know."

"Hold on."

"Save it Yugi. My brother's right, you just don't get it. I know what you were going to say. You were going to say that dueling for revenge is wrong but my brother never asks me for help and for the first time ever my family needs me! I'm sorry but I can't let him down." The group listened as Leon shared the story of his lonely childhood that he spent in Zigfried's shadow.

"See Yugi, I'm not just fighting for myself. I'm fighting for my whole family! Now let's continue the duel. I believe it's my turn. I summon Iron Hans! But that's not all Yugi. Once this card is on the field, it allows me to automatically summon my Iron Knight as well. Get ready to step down 'cause there's a new king in town and his name is Leon von Schroder!" Zigfried chuckled as he watched his brother summon his Iron Knight.

"I knew you vouldn't let me down Leon."

"I win! You have one monster and I have three so before this turn is done your former title will belong to Schroder Corp!"

The group watched as the duel continued. Yami had Dark Magician on his side of the field and had 2500 life points remaining. Leon had his Iron Hans on his side of the field and 2100 life points left. It was currently Leon's turn.

"I play Pot of Greed, allowing me to draw two cards." Leon drew two more cards then froze.

"It's the card," he whispered. Zigfried smirked, knowing that his brother had just drawn the card that would lead to Kaiba's destruction.

"Play that card Leon and make your family proud!"

"This is for my family. I play the Golden Castle of Stromberg!" A golden castle slowly began to materialize behind the freckled duelist.

"Does anyone know what dat thing is?" Joey asked.

"I do," Professor Hawkins answered with a nod. Seto turned to glare at Zigfried.

"Zigfried how did you get your hands on that card?"

"I activate the special effect of my Golden Castle. It allows me to summon any monster to the field with four stars or less. So I play Cinderella in Attack Mode. And where would Cinderella be without her pumpkin carriage and glass slippers?" A girl in a flowing gown and glass slippers appeared on Leon's side of the field; as well as a pumpkin shaped carriage.

"Watch out Yugi! That princess is tougher than she looks!"

"Did I mention that whenever pumpkin carriage is on the field, Cinderella is allowed to go straight for your life points? Now Cinderella, attack him directly!" The blonde princess flung her slippers at the King of Games, dropping his life points to 2200.

"After Cinderella attacks, she transfers her glass slippers to one of your monsters. Of course, this comes at a price. Your monster has to cough up a thousand life points!"

"Yugi's getting crushed out there!"

"Shut up Duke! He's da King of Games! Ya think he's scared of some princess?"

"That's no princess. It's a monster in heels!"

"Zigfried, where di he get that card?"

"Vhat card vould that be Herr Kaiba?"

"I'm not in the mood for games!"

"Is that really it?"

"Sure is."

"What are you guys talking about Professor Hawkins?" Alissa asked.

"Yeah, what's going on here?" Tea agreed.

"Wait, it's that castle isn't it?"

"Yes Duke, it is. There are several Duel Monsters cards that Pegasus created but never fully developed and therefore never released to the public. The Golden Castle of Stromberg is one of them.

"Den how did Leon get a hold of it?"

"I remember a tournament several years ago that offered the Golden Castle card as the prize. But it was never meant to be used."

"That's right, because it was only a test sample, it was forbidden from tournament play."

"Since only one copy of the card was ever released, it continues to be one of the most sought after cards in the game."

"I just can't believe Leon has it in his deck."

"Zigfried, you realize your brother just played an illegal card right?"

"I beg to differ Herr Kaiba."

"Seto, if that really is an unregistered card, Leon's duel disk shouldn't have recognized it right? So what's the deal?"

"The card limiter must've been deactivated. And I think I know how."

"Hold on, den that means dat Leon is cheating!" Leon's eyes widened when he heard Joey speak.

"I am?"

"That's the real reason you hacked into my computer system isn't it Zigfried?"

"How dare you. Za King of Games is about to be dethroned by a Schroder so you accuse me of cheating? Leon simply played a strong card. Don't blame me because your cheap computer network malfunctioned. Blame your poor excuse for a company. Face it, Kaiba Corp's time in the spotlight is over!"

"Hmph. Come on, no one's going to buy that. It's a fact. Leon broke the rules. He played a non-registered card in an official duel.

"Fine, zen how about you go on and cancel za match? Even zough you promised za world a winner."

"No matter what, the duel will go on."

"Is this really a forbidden card?" Leon asked. He frowned then shook his head. "No, my brother wouldn't lie to me."

"Leon, just continue your move. Your duel disk accepted Za Golden Castle of Stromberg so it can't be illegal. Now show them all vhat it means to be a Schroder!" Yami gasped and turned towards Zigfried, mortified.

"How could you?"

"I knew ya were a jerk, but lyin' to ya own brotha'?"

"You're disgusting!" Alissa hissed. "How could you do this to your own brother?"

"Don't listen to them Leon! They don't care about you, these friends of Herr Kaiba just vant to tear our family apart! Now vho are going to believe? These strangers or your own flesh and blood?"

"But I don't want to win by cheating."

"I told you that card is legal!"

"Don't trust him," Yami warned, stepping forward. " He's just using you. He reprogrammed Kaiba Corp's dueling system, forcing our duel disks to accept an illegal card!"

"Is this true?"

"Vell, it looks like I've been figured out, but it's too late to stop me now. Za most powerful card ever released is already on za field and no one can stop it! Soon, Schroder Corp vill be za number one gaming company in the world!"

"Not if you force him to win by cheating." Zigfried chuckled at Yami's statement.

"You say cheating, I say creative dueling."

"Zigfried, I was supposed to win fair and square. The plan wasn't for me to cheat."

"Za rules didn't fit my needs Leon. Your dreams are all about to come true. Don't let them pass you by!"

"It's true that it's always been a dream of mine to win in a duel against Yugi, but I refuse to do it by cheating. I play the Magic card Mystical Space Typhoon and I'll use it to destroy my Golden Castle of Stromberg!"

"Way ta go Leon!" The harsh winds that surrounded the field disappeared and the Golden Castle still stood. The onlookers gasped.

"I had a feeling I couldn't trust you Leon. Therefore I have taken matters into my own hands. Since za card vas never finished, I vas able to add a few twists of my own."

"But a duelist can't change the attributes of a card."

"Unless he's able to rewrite the file and alter the data."

"Hey Freak! What have you done?"

"Ta-da! Vitness the final part of my revenge Herr Kaiba." The group looked at the monitor that was projecting the duel worldwide. The images on the monitor faded to static.

"Spill it Zigfried!"

"If you think I hacked into your system just to change one card then you're vrong. In fact, that card vas just a key to release the most devastating virus ever constructed!" Seto growled in anger before turning to one of his employees.

"Launch the antiviral program immediately."

"Too little too late Herr Kaiba. Every one of Kaiba Corp's program files and data banks are being deleted as ve speak. Vhen your empire crumbles, Maximillion Pegasus vill have no choice but to negotiate a partnership vith me!"

"You snake!"

"It's all my fault! I never should have trusted him and now it's too late."

"No Leon, there's still time."

"I just wanted the chance to face you in a fair duel Yugi. But that chance is gone now so I quit!" Leon raised his hand to place it on his duel deck. His older brother's voice stopped him.

"It's not that easy Leon. Surrendering can't stop my virus. There's only one vay you can stop all this and you can do that by destroying Za Golden Castle of Stromberg!"

"Now what?"

"We continue the duel Leon."

"But it's no use Yugi. My brother made that card indestructible."

"What happened to the Leon I met at the start of this tournament? He wouldn't be giving up. He'd be fighting until the very end. Now duel against me and give it everything you've got. Show Zigfried what the Heart of the Cards really means and put an end to his selfish scheme!"

"Are you sure?"

"Just trust me. Every card has a weakness and we need to find it together because we don't have much time left."

And I'll end the chapter there for now. So Lake Tahoe is beautiful. I never want to leave. Too bad I leave tomorrow. Sorry if this chapter is kind of boring. I tried to make it as exiting as I could, but I only have so much to work with. Watching this duel also kind of pisses me off. I hate Zigfried with a passion. I'd push him down stairs if I could. Anyhoo, let's forget about my homicidal tendencies. I have something HUGE planned for after the Grand Championship and I can't wait.
