Hey guys. It's official. This is my first week of summer vacation. In other words, I'm done with my freshman year of college! So there's that. Now, I'm on break until August! So that means that updates will be more frequent. Who knows, maybe I'll even start uploading as much as I did when I started Take A Chance On Me. We'll see I guess. Anyhoo, enough rambling! Onwards with the chapter.

"So what games are we playing?" Seto asked, entering the game room, now fully dressed.

"I don't know. I thought that we could do it like last time. We'll play one game of my choice, one of yours, and one of Mokuba's. Does that sound good?" He smirked.

"Sounds perfect. What's your game of choice?"

"Hm. How about we shake things up a bit? I choose Karaoke Revolution."

"We're doing video games hm? Very well, I choose Super Smash Bros. Brawl."

"Are you sure about that one? I'm great at Super Smash Bros."

"You may be great, but your skills aren't as superior as mine."

"We'll see won't we? Now let's play, I don't want to share the title of Gaming Champion of this house for much longer."

"Don't worry. Once I win, you won't be."

"We'll see. How about we start with your game this time?"

"Eager to lose?"

"You wish." He powered up the Wii then tossed her one of the Wii remotes. He glanced at her with a smug smirk.

"Prepare to lose."

"Ha! Stick that in your juice box and suck it Rich Boy!" Alissa cheered as her Kirby threw Seto's Fox off the screen. "Who was it that said Kirby was weak again? Oh, that's right, you did! Well, look who is laughing now!"

"Don't get too excited. We still have one more round before there's a winner."

"Yeah, and I'll take you down!"

"We'll see. Choose the stage you want."

"Castle Siege."

"Very well." The two began to play. For several tense minutes, the only sound that could be heard were the sound of buttons clicking and the sound effects of the game. Seto tried to use one of Fox's special moves to prevent Alissa from getting back on the platform, but she avoided his attack and landed safely.

"How'd you do that?" he asked, keeping his gaze fixed on the screen.

"Joey tries to use that move all the time when we play."

"Hmph. Who knew Wheeler had the brains to-."

"Why do you hate him so much?" Alissa cut him off. She didn't want to hear him insult her friends. "I mean I know sometimes Joey is the one that starts it but still, why do you hate him? Sure he isn't the best at social cues, and he can be a little blunt but he has a heart of gold. Can't you two get along? You know, peace and love and all that jazz."

"I don't remember you being all about peace and love when you told Zigfried you hated him."

"I never said I hated him. I said that if he was on fire and I had water, I would drink it. There's a difference. Plus, he deserved it. I know Joey can say stupid things sometimes but that's just Joey. That's part of what makes him so lovable."

"Whatever."

"Fine. Forget I asked." They were silent again as they continued the game. Finally, Seto won.

"Damn it, you suck Rich Boy!"

"Since I'm the one that won, wouldn't that make you the one that sucks?" he asked with a smug smirk and a cocked brow.

"Yeah, whatever. I would've won if you didn't get the Final Smash."

"Oh please, your damage percentage was above two hundred. I could've flicked you and I would've won."

"Yeah, yeah. Enjoy your small victory 'cause that'll be your last one."

"You wish."

"Alright Rich Boy. Just pop Karaoke Revolution in." Once everything was hooked up, he handed her the microphone.

"Ladies first."

"What are you staring at?" Seto snapped when he noticed Alissa staring at him after he sang his song. He turned his gaze back to the screen and watched as his score climbed higher and higher, and then stopped just below hers. Great. Now we're tied. Again.

"As if it wasn't enough that you're super smart and attractive and good at everything else, now you sound like a God too?"

"Hmph. You still won."

"Not by much. Should I go find Mokuba so he can tell us his game choice?"

"Yes." Alissa left the game room and found Mokuba in the kitchen.

"Hey Alissa."

"Hey Mokuba. We're ready to play your game."

"Cool! I'll be there in a minute." Alissa joined Seto back in the game room as they waited for Mokuba.

"Okay, I'm just going to come out and say it. Hearing you sing made my ovaries explode."

"What?" he asked, startled.

"Just shut up so I can kiss you." She fisted his shirt and pulled his lips down to meet her own. At first Seto was shocked by her forwardness, but he soon relaxed and moved his hands down to grasp her small waist. She moved her arms up to behind his neck and played with the strands of soft hair on the nape of his neck. She pulled away when she heard Mokuba coming down the hall.

"We'll finish this later," she whispered before creating a small distance between herself and the slightly flushed CEO.

"What'd I miss?" Mokuba asked as he entered the game room.

"Besides your brother losing at Karaoke Revolution, not much."

"You may have won your game of choice but you lost mine."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever Rich Boy. So, Mokuba, what's your game of choice? This is the tie breaker so it has to be a good one."

"Okay. Um, let me think for a minute," Mokuba paused and scratched the back of his head in thought. "How about Mario Party 8?"

"Sounds good to me. What do you think Rich Boy?"

"Sounds like the perfect way to secure my victory."

"Hm, I'll guess we'll find out." For the next hour, the game room was silent save for the sound effects coming from the game.

"This is going to be a close one," Mokuba said, finally breaking the silence. Seto currently had three stars and Alissa had two. However, there were still the bonus stars to worry about, and it was very likely that Alissa would win at least one of those.

"That doesn't matter because I'm going to be the one to win," Seto replied as he rapidly pressed the A button.

"We'll find out in one turn Rich Boy," Alissa replied back as she too pressed the A button at a rapid pace. A few minutes later, Seto smirked. He had won with five stars, beating Alissa by only two.

"Well, I guess it's official then. You're the Gaming Champion of the Kaiba Manor."

"Took ya long enough to figure it out." She rolled her eyes and grinned broadly.

"Cute," she said sarcastically. "Well I don't know about you two, but I'm starved. You wanna order pizza?"

"Can we Bro?" Mokuba asked, turning to his brother in excitement.

"I suppose pizza would be okay."

"It's settled then. What toppings do you guys want?"

"Pepperoni," Mokuba answered immediately.

"That okay with you Seto?"

"Whatever you two want." Alissa entered the kitchen for a couple minutes then returned.

"They said it should be about forty-five minutes." She sat cross-legged on one of the empty couches and looked at the Kaiba brothers.

"So," she drawled. "What should we do while we wait?"

"Do you guys want to play another game?"

"Sure Little Kaiba. Your pick."

The rest of the weekend passed too quickly for Alissa's liking, and soon it was Monday. Music pumped from her headphones and into her ears. She yawned as she rummaged through her locker in search of her Advanced Biology book. I hate school. Why did I ever want to come back here? Someone put me out of my misery. She shut her locker and jumped when she saw Seto standing right behind it. She yanked her ear buds out with a frown.

"You scared the shit out of me!"

"Careful. If someone hears you using that language, you'll get a detention," he said with a mocking smirk.

"If you announced your arrival like a normal human being then we wouldn't have this problem."

"I did. You didn't hear me." He pointed to the ear buds that now hung around her neck.

"Oh. Right. Sorry. I guess I didn't hear you."

"Obviously."

"Yeah, well I should go. I have to get to Advanced Biology. We're doing a dissection today. I'll see you at lunch okay?"

"Wait. I have something to tell you."

"Make it quick. If I'm late, they'll dissect me."

"We found your mother."

On Friday evening Alissa sat in Seto's jet. She shook her leg nervously as she waited for Seto to finish talking to the crew about their trip to France. She still didn't know how, but he was able to trace her mother to a small town in France. He finally left the cockpit and came to sit in the seat across from her. He noticed her nervousness and frowned.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I'm just a little nervous."

"What reason do you have to be nervous?"

"I haven't seen her for nearly five years. What if she hates me?"

"She's your mother. She won't hate you. Don't be stupid."

"How would you know? I did less than honorable things when I was with Tony. She'll be disgusted with me, I know it."

"Stop it. You have no reason to be talking like that. You did what you had to do to protect your family. She'll understand."

"How do you know?"

"Because she's your mother and she loves you."

"Big talk coming from someone who doesn't even have a mother." Her words stung and she knew it. She frowned, immediately regretting her words.

"Seto, I-."

"Forget it," he snapped, turning away from her and opening his laptop up.

"Seto I didn't-."

"If you didn't mean it, you wouldn't have said it. Now shut up and let me work."

"I'm sorry." He didn't respond and continued to forcefully type on the keyboard. She swallowed around a lump in her throat and turned onto her side. Me and my big mouth. She stared out the window and let the gentle hum of the engine lull her to sleep.

The young woman sat in the passenger seat of the Ford V8. She glanced out the window as her lover sped down the dirt road. Something didn't seem right. The brunet man driving noticed her uneasiness and briefly turned his gaze to her.

"What's wrong?" She looked at him with a worried frown.

"Something doesn't feel right Clyde." The man smirked.

"You worry too much Bonnie." She turned her gaze away from him and peered out the window again.

"Someone's in the road." He pulled to a stop in front of the man standing in the middle of the road.

"Is there a problem?" Clyde asked through the open window.

"My car won't seem to start." Clyde moved his hand to the door handle to step out of the car and assist the man. He stopped when a loud bang echoed through the air. His limp body fell backwards into Bonnie's lap, a bullet hole through the middle of his forehead. She screamed.

"Clyde no!" A burst of gunshots rang through the air. She heard the sound of glass shattering before everything went black.

xxx

Alissa shot up into a sitting position, breathing heavily. She ran a hand through her slightly messy hair as her breathing evened out. Now I'm having dreams about Bonnie and Clyde? What is up with these weird dreams?

"Are you okay?" She turned her gaze to Seto after he spoke. His fingers hovered over the keyboard midtype and his eyebrows were creased in concern.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"You were mumbling in your sleep. It was rather distracting."

"Oh. Sorry." She paused and chewed on her lip. He still seemed upset about what she said earlier.

"Um, Seto. I'm sorry about what I said earlier."

"Forget it. It's in the past, there's nothing we can do about it now."

"You're the reason my mom was found in the first place so I should be more grateful."

"I told you it's fine. It's in the past so move on and stop sulking."

"Okay."

"What was your dream about?" He asked as he continued to type.

"Hm?"

"What was your dream about?"

"Oh. Nothing important. It was just one of those weird 'what the hell is wrong with my mind' dreams." He nodded before saving his work and powering down his computer.

"You were asleep for a while. We'll be landing soon."

"Okay." Before she knew it, the plane landed and her and Seto were standing in front of a small, one story house in the heart of the small French town. She took a deep breath then looked at Seto.

"Well. This is it." He grabbed her hand and gave it a firm squeeze.

"Whenever you're ready." She raised her free hand and knocked on the door. There was a sound of shuffling inside then the door opened halfway to reveal a woman with graying brown hair and brown eyes. The door opened outwards, blocking Alissa from view.

"Can I help you?"

"Abigail Todd?" The woman's eyes widened and she went to shut the door.

"No. I'm sorry. You have the wrong house."

"Mom wait!" Alissa dropped Seto's hand and stepped into view. Abigail froze.

"Alissa?"

"Hey Mom."
