So, I'm an awful person. I kind of just left you guys hanging on that cliffhanger. I'm so sorry that this update took so long! I just got cast in a production of Grease so rehearsals have been eating up a lot of my time. But, the update is finally here and it's pretty jam-packed. Oh and to the person or people who left a few "lovely" little flames for me on both this story and Take A Chance On Me, they've all been deleted. Anyhoo! Read on and I hope this chapter was worth the wait for you guys.

"Mr. Kaiba?" Seto's fingers paused briefly over the keys of his laptop.

"What is it Roland?" he asked as he continued to type.

"There's been an incident at the Todd's apartment." Seto's gaze snapped to Roland's instantly.

"What kind of incident?"

"Ms. Todd is missing." Seto stood and pressed the button to page his secretary.

"Cancel all my appointments for today. An emergency has come up." The two quickly made their way to the limo. Seto drummed his fingers on the inside of the door as the limo made its way to the Todd's apartment. As soon as the limo came to a full stop, Seto jumped out and sprinted up to the third floor.

"What happened here?" he asked, surveying the wrecked living room.

"She was taken." It was obvious that the middle-aged woman was barely holding on to her composure.

"By who?"

"I don't know. The young man who was delivering her sushi found the door left open. He called the police when he discovered the state of the living room."

"What are the police doing about this?"

"They're going to put out a report of the kidnapping." He noticed her distress and sat next to her.

"We'll find her and when we found out who took her, I'll make them pay through the nose for it."

"Thank you," she said as she hugged him. He froze before slowly returning the hug. Although he had been dating Alissa, who was an extremely huggy person, for a little over six months now, it was still hard for him to get used to physical contact with other people.

"Will you be able to manage here on your own?"

"I'll be fine."

"Let me know as soon as you hear anything." She nodded at his request.

"Roland, take me back to Kaiba Corp. I'll need my jet," he ordered as soon as he returned to the limo.

"Of course Mr. Kaiba." He put up the separation screen and threaded his fingers under his chin in thought. He wasn't about to wait for the police to figure everything out. If he wanted to find her, he'd have to look for Alissa on his own. You'll pay for this. Whoever you are, I'll find you and make you suffer. He mentally went through a list of people in his head that would be bold enough to pull a stunt like this. At the top of his mental list, was Pegasus.

Alissa slowly regained consciousness, the darkness that shrouded her mind slowly faded into awareness. The first thing she observed was a slight throbbing pain above her right eye. She groaned and opened her eyes. When her gaze met darkness she began to panic. She went to move her hand to remove whatever was hindering her sight, but found her arms secured tightly to a chair behind her. She noticed the thing in her mouth next. Something soft and thick was shoved between her teeth and wrapped tightly around her head. She began to frantically pull at her restraints but they held fast. The sound of a door creaking open caused her to cease in her struggling. A set of fingers grappled with the blindfold around her head and it fell away.

"I'm glad to see you're awake," her captor said with a wide smirk. "I was beginning to worry that I gave you too strong a dose. Want me to take the gag off?" She nodded slowly and he leaned forward to untie the cloth tied around her mouth.

"You have to promise not to scream. If you do, the gag goes right back in and we'll have a problem. Understand?" She nodded again. As soon as the gag was removed, she licked her dry lips and swallowed a couple of times.

"Why am I here?"

"You let that thing take my soul and you need to be chastised for it."

"Please Sam, you have to let me go."

"I can't do that Doll face. We had a deal. You didn't keep your part of it and now you'll pay for it."

"What are you going to do?"

"Nothing yet. I'll wait until both of you are here?" Her breath caught in her throat. I hope he doesn't mean what I think he does.

"What do you mean both?"

"Mr. Kaiba will join us shortly." She swallowed around a large lump in her throat.

She was afraid that was what he meant.

"Don't bring Seto into this. Please. He isn't the one that turned on you."

"He's done his fair share to me. I haven't forgotten that he's the one who got me arrested."

"Well if you weren't being such a creep and leaving me those notes he wouldn't have had to go to the police!" A sharp smack sent her head swinging to the side.

"Shut up. You and Mr. Kaiba brought this upon yourselves."

"You're crazy!"

"Well you're a bitch and your boyfriend is an arrogant little prick. It's about time that you two got what you deserve. Your boyfriend will join us soon. Then I'll make you two pay for all your wrongdoings." She pulled against the ropes desperately. He smirked at her unsuccessful attempt at escape before leaving the room and locking the door behind him. She let out a frustrated groan and stopped struggling. This guy is fucking nuts.

"Oh hello Kaiba Boy! Long time no see!"

"Skip the pleasantries Pegasus. Where is she?"

"I'm sorry, whoever do you mean?"

"What do you take me for, a fool? I know you're the one who kidnapped Alissa. Release her now before I really get angry."

"Now Kaiba Boy, why must you be so mean and jump to conclusions?"

"Don't patronize me! Where is she?"

"I assure you I have no idea what you mean."

"Pegasus-."

"You're welcome to search the island, but you won't find your little friend here." Seto glared at the older man for any signs that he was lying. He growled in frustration before turning away from the white haired CEO and exiting the castle. His mind wandered to other possible suspects as he left the island. The sound of his cellphone ringing interrupted his thoughts.

"Kaiba."

"I know where your little friend is," a deep, mechanical voice spoke. It was obvious to the CEO that the voice was modified. His instincts told him that he was speaking to the person who kidnapped Alissa.

"Where is she?" he growled.

"Come to the Domino Pier if you wish to find her. Don't alert the police."

"Who is this?" The person on the other line hung up without answering, causing the brunet to growl in anger. Whoever you are, you're finished. Seto returned to Kaiba Corp. and Mokuba was waiting.

"Seto, what happened? Did you find out where she is?"

"No Mokuba, but I'm about to."

"What do you mean? Did Pegasus know something?"

"I'm going to the Pier."

"The Pier? Why?"

"I got a call." The older Kaiba's explanation was enough to make the younger understand.

"Seto, you can't go there alone. What if it's a trap?"

"Do you think that I haven't already thought of that as a possibility? You have nothing to worry about Mokuba, I can handle myself." Mokuba frowned. He hated when his brother got like this.

"I hope you know what you're doing Big Brother."

"I always do."

"Seto, be careful okay?"

"I'll be fine Mokuba. It's the snake that kidnapped Alissa that won't be." Mokuba watched his brother leave with a concerned frown. He knew his older brother could handle anything, but just like the time when The Big Five trapped Seto in his own video game, he knew something wasn't right.

It didn't take long for Seto to reach the Pier. He surveyed the empty pier and frowned.

"Come out now you snake!" He heard slight movement behind him and ducked just before a large fist came flying towards the back of his head. He swung his leg around, knocking his assailant's legs out from under him. The brunet firmly placed a foot on his assailant's chest to keep him from moving. His frown deepened when he came face to face with a very familiar red head.

"You," he growled. "Tell me where Alissa is now!" The red headed male smirked.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Seto increased the pressure on his assailant's chest.

"Don't waste anymore of my time! Tell me where she is Sam!"

"Alright, I'll show you." The red head suddenly grabbed the CEO by his ankle and threw him off. Sam stood as the brunet dazedly pulled himself to his feet. Before Seto could turn around to face Alissa's kidnapper, something hit him in the middle of his back. Shortly after the thing connected, it made a popping sound. Every muscle in his body tensed up and he fell to the floor in a paralyzed heap. Sam pocketed the taser gun and replaced it with a damp cloth. On the ground, Seto was trying to pull himself up. Every muscle felt numb. Sam gripped Seto by the hair and painfully pulled his head back. The damp cloth in Sam's hand was pressed tightly over Seto's mouth and nose. Sam smirked when Seto fell limp. That was too easy.

The light haired woman giggled as the brunet pushed her into the sitting position on her bed. She grinned up at him before kissing him roughly on the mouth. The brunet pushed her onto her back and moved his lips down to her neck. He sucked lightly on her collarbone as he pushed the sleeve to her dress down. He pulled his lips away from her skin and pressed his forehead to hers. Their eyes locked, blue against blue.

"I love you Guinevere." He kissed her on the lips. "I love you." He kissed her again and again, each kiss accompanied with another declaration of love.

"Shh," she whispered, bringing his gaze up to her face. "Please Lancelot, someone will hear you."

"Let them hear. You know I'll handle anyone who gives us trouble."

"Just like Sir Meliagaunt?"

"You're still upset about what I did to him."

"You shouldn't have accepted his challenge."

"He confronted me in front of you and the King."

"But did you have to kill him?"

"If I didn't accept his challenge it would've looked suspicious. He put your honor on the line Guinevere. I wasn't going to let him get away with that. I'd do anything to protect you." She smiled up at him and moved a few stray chestnut hairs out of his eyes.

"I love you too." He brought his lips down to hers for another passionate kiss. The door to her bedroom suddenly slammed open, causing the couple to spring apart. But it was too late. They had been caught.

"Wakey, wakey." The sound of Sam's voice snapped Alissa out of her weird dream. "I brought you some company." Alissa looked up and her heart stopped. Sam had a motionless CEO thrown over his broad shoulder.

"What did you do to him?"

"Relax, he isn't dead. I knew he wouldn't come willingly so I made him sleep." Sam situated the brunet in the chair near Alissa and started tying him to it.

"Why are you doing this?"

"I already explained that I don't take too kindly to people wronging me."

"But I'm the one who made you lose your soul."

"Yeah, and Mr. Kaiba is the one who had me sent to jail for five months." Sam finished tying Seto to the chair as he began to stir. The brunet opened his eyes and blinked to clear his blurred vision. He groaned and tried to move his hands to massage his temples.

"What is this?" he shouted when he realized he couldn't move. He caught sight of Alissa sitting in a chair next to him and pulled on the ropes secured around his wrists and elbows.

"Alissa! Are you okay? Did this bastard hurt you?"

"I'm fine." Seto turned his gaze to Sam, his blue eyes hard and cold.

"You'll pay for taking Alissa you snake. Now let us go before I really get angry!"

"You know, you aren't all that intimidating when you're tied to a chair."

"Don't patronize me!" Sam frowned and kneeled in front of the brunet.

"You don't get to make the orders here you arrogant little prick."

"What do you want?"

"Hm, I thought that a genius like you would've figured it out by now." Seto growled. He hated repeating himself.

"What are you planning?"

"You two caused problems for me, so now I'm going to get rid of you."

"Hmph, I like to think that it's the other way around. You stalked Alissa. You tried to kill us for God's sake!"

"Yeah, and you had me sent to jail and Alissa had The Seal take my soul."

"Oh please, you still believe in all that bull? Spare me the speech about magic will ya?"

"Deny it all you like, whether you want to believe it or not, it happened. And now, both of you will pay the consequences for making me suffer."

"You're insane!" Sam frowned before punching Seto hard in the jaw.

"Stop!" Alissa screamed. Sam gripped Seto roughly by the chin and forced him to turn his gaze to him. Blood dripped down Seto's chin from a split lip.

"You're out of line Kaiba. We're playing by my rules now." Seto glared and remained silent. Sam dropped the CEO's chin and walked towards the table in the far corner of the room.

"Seto, are you okay?"

"Considering the circumstances, I've been in better moods." The red head returned to the couple with a roll of duct tape and a couple pieces of cloth.

"I don't want you two communicating while I'm not in the room."

"I thought that you were planning to kill us," Seto deadpanned.

"I do, but I think I'll keep you two alive for a couple days. Who knows, maybe I'll kill one of you today. It really depends on how much you piss me off." Sam smirked at Seto. "Maybe I'll kill her first so you can watch."

"If you touch her it'll be the last move you make." Sam shoved a piece of cloth between Seto's teeth and placed several pieces of tape over his lips. He did the same thing to Alissa before walking towards the door. He paused before leaving and turned to stare at his two captives.

"We'll see." He smirked then left, letting the door slam behind him.

The younger Kaiba was worried. It had been several hours and Seto still hadn't returned from The Pier. He found it odd that Seto hadn't at least called to let him know how the search for Alissa was going. Mokuba himself had called Seto's cellphone several times, but none of the calls went through. Mokuba feared the worst. He had asked Roland to check the Pier for any signs of his older brother while he remained at the Manor just in case his brother returned while Roland was out. After nearly half an hour, Roland returned.

"Was he there?"

"I'm afraid not. Did you try calling him again?"

"Not since you left. I'll try again." The ebony haired teenager pulled out his phone and dialed his older brother. To his surprise, and relief, it actually started ringing. As soon as the phone picked up, Mokuba didn't even give his brother a chance to speak.

"Seto? Where are you? Are you okay?"

"Your brother isn't here." Mokuba froze as the haunting sound of the dial tone droned in his ear.

"Something happened. We need to find my brother now."

Seto growled in frustration and ceased his struggling. He'd struggled against his bonds until the skin around his wrists was raw and bloody, but the ropes still stuck. There was no way he or Alissa were going to get out without a sharp tool to cut the ropes. Suddenly, he heard the sound of his cellphone ringing. Sam hadn't taken his cellphone. He stretched his arms; as far as the rope would allow, reaching for the phone ringing and vibrating in the back pocket of his pants. He'd barely gotten a grip on it when it fell out of his hands and clattered to the floor. The door slammed open and Sam stalked in, his face twisted into a scowl. The red head noticed the CEO's fallen cellphone and smirked.

"Nice try Kaiba." He scooped up the phone and pressed it to his ear.

"Seto?" Mokuba's worried voice asked on the other line. "Where are you? Are you okay?"

"Your brother isn't here." Sam smirked again before hanging up. His smirk turned to a scowl when he was an amused glint in Seto's eyes.

"What's so funny?" He ripped the piece off of Seto's mouth and pulled the piece of cloth out from between his lips. "Well? Care to let me in on the joke?"

"You're an amateur. You have no idea what you're doing do you?" Seto chuckled at Sam's confused and slightly frightened expression.

"What are you talking about?"

"There's a tracker in my cellphone. Since you answered it, my security team will have no problem pinpointing this exact location. They'll be here shortly." The worried look on Sam's face turned into a devious smile.

"Well, then I guess we'll have to change plans. I'll just have to kill you both before they get here. And you know what smart ass, I think I'll start with you!" In an instant, Sam leaned forward and captured Seto's throat in a tight grip. Although the CEO kept his face free of any emotion, Sam could feel the quickening of his pulse beneath his palm. Sam squeezed harder, causing the CEO to gag and his air to be cut off completely. Alissa struggled in the chair next to him, trying desperately to get free so she could help Seto. Tears of fear streamed down her cheeks as the life was literally choked out of the brunet. Seto pulled against his bonds in an attempt to get free so he could push the red head away. His struggles started to dwindle as dark spots filtered into his vision. Alissa noticed Seto's diminishing struggles and began to pull harder on the ropes. Suddenly, Alissa's body began to glow a light blue color. Her dark hair turned to a white blonde and her eyes turned to a glowing blue. Wind rapidly spun around her before a bright light shot out from her body. When the light cleared, Alissa stood next to the chair, the ropes that bound her lay broken on the floor. The Blue Eyes White Dragon stood in front of her, snarling menacingly.

"What's going on?" Sam asked in fear, instantly stepping back from Seto. The dragon roared loudly, shaking the walls in the room. The dragon shot a burst of blue light out of its mouth. The bright light hit Sam square in the stomach, sending him backwards. The force of the blast also sent Seto's chair flying backwards. He groaned in pain and blinked to clear his fuzzy vision. He saw the Blue Eyes and his brow furrowed in confusion. Blue Eyes? That was his last thought before everything went dark. The wind that was rushing past Alissa slowly stopped. Her hair and eyes returned to normal and the Blue Eyes disappeared. Her vision blurred and she fell forward onto her hands and knees. She felt completely drained. She looked up from the ground and the walls dipped and swayed around her. She looked around the room in confusion. What happened? Sam was motionless in the far corner of the room with his eyes open and glazed over. Blood dripped from the fatal wound on his temple. The sight of Seto lying motionless on the floor nearby made her breath hitch.

"Seto?" She clumsily pulled herself to her feet. She only took a few steps forward before the dizziness took over and she fell to her knees again. She started to pull herself towards Seto as her vision started to fade. She didn't make it far before she collapsed forward and faded into unconsciousness.
