"Guys I think we found it! It's the world of The Pharaoh's memory!" The group of five peered over the ledge at the town in ancient Egypt below them.

"Uh, jus' one question Yug, how do we get sown there?" Yugi smiled at his friends and jumped.

"Yugi! Are you crazy?" Alissa screamed.

"I was afraid we'd have ta jump." Tristan, Tea, and Joey prepared to jump. Tristan and Tea jumped but Joey stopped.

"Come on Alissa."

"I can't."

"Sure ya can, ya just squat and jump." He grabbed her hand and jumped.

"But I'm afraid of heights!" she screamed as her and Joey fell. Oh. My. God. I'm going to die. She squeaked when she felt solid ground below her feet.

"Alissa, you're okay. You can open your eyes now." Upon hearing Tea's voice she cracked her eyes open. Sweet baby Jesus I'm alive!

"Ha, I never knew ya were such a scaredy cat Alissa."

"Don't make me punch you Joey."

"Stop it you two," Tea scolded. "We have other things to worry about." The group of five looked around the town square in awe.

"Is it jus' me or did we jus' travel through some kind of time warp?"

"This is so weird."

"And look at us! We stand out like sore thumbs!"

"You're right Tristan," Tea agreed. "But for some weird reason everyone is ignoring us."

"Yeah, well not for long. Hiya dere folks! Jumpin' Joey Wheeler here!" Joey frowned when he got no response. "Hello?" A passing village woman started walking towards them.

"See, I'm sure dis nice, young lady knows who I am." Joey screamed in terror when the woman walked right through him.

"She's a ghost! Did ya guys se dat?"

"Guys, the Millennium Puzzle is gone!" Yugi said, noticing his lack of jewelry. "Hold on, I've got it. We're in the land of The Pharaoh's memories. No one can see us because we didn't exist five thousand years ago, so we aren't really a part of this place."

"Wait a sec, are you saying that when we find The Pharaoh he won't be able to see us either?"

"Who knows, but we need to find out now." The group of five ran through the town in search of The Pharaoh.

"Guys, can we take five?" Joey heaved after several minutes of intense running.

"Oh come on, you have to be kidding."

"Ya know I can't run on an empty stomach Tea!"

"You can't do anything on an empty stomach! Besides we aren't here to eat Joey, we're here to help The Pharaoh."

"But I want a hot dog!" Tristan moaned melodramatically after Joey spoke.

"Did you say hotdog?"

"Great, you too Tristan?"

"Guys, you won't be able to touch or eat the food here. Remember, we don't exist in this world."

"No!" The two cried. The two looked up and noticed a large man dressed in a red coat eating pile after pile of fruit.

"Hey, wait. Somethin' ain't right here."

"What do you mean Joey?"

"Look at dat guy Yug! He's devouring everythin' in sight and no on is sayin' anythin'."

"You're right Joey."

"Does that mean he's like us?"

"Hey! Tristan and Joey hollered, approaching the man. "Ya got some food for us?" The man screamed in fright.

"I'm being attacked by hungry ghosts!" The large man turned his back and started running away. Joey and Tristan chased after him.

"Hey, dat guy can see us!" The man abruptly changed direction and the two hungry boys followed him. As the man passed the rest of the group, Tea stuck out her foot and tripped him. The large man went flying into the circle of people that had formed near Yugi and his friends. Joey and Tristan jumped into the circle after him with Tea, Yugi, and Alissa following closely behind them. They stopped the chase when they saw a girl with long white hair in the middle of the circle. The townspeople were throwing rocks and curses at the girl.

"Hey, dat girl's in trouble!" Joey and Tristan stood protectively in front o the hurt girl.

"Hey, why don't ya guys pick on us?" Tea, Yugi, and Alissa rushed to the girl's side to make sure she was unharmed. The trio gasped.

"Alissa, she looks like you!"

"Okay I'm officially freaked out!"

"They aren't stopping!"

"They can't see us remember?"

"Well what are we going to do? We have to do something!"

"Tristan's right, we need to think of something!"

"What is this about?" a voice demanded outside the circle. The group of five looked up, hoping that the voice belonged to someone who could help. They all gasped when they saw who had spoke.

"No way!"

"Double no way!"

"It's Kaiba!" A bald man with tattoos approached the Kaiba look a like's side.

"Master Seto?" The ankh shaped object the bald man held suddenly began to glow. "Wait, what's this? The power within her is too strong!" The man dropped to his knees.

"Shada?" The ancient version of Seto asked in concern.

"I've never felt such a powerful spirit before."

"Guards, we're taking her with us. Give her all the food and water she desires. Hurry men!"

"Yes Sir!" The ancient Seto turned to face the villagers.

"And as for all of you, leave at once or I shall place every one of you in shackles!" The townspeople screamed in terror and dissipated.

"Yeah, way ta go fake Kaiba!"

"Yugi look!"

"Kaiba has the Millennium Rod, and that guy has The Key! They must work for The Pharaoh." The carbon copy of Seto turned to the guards again before speaking.

"Nothing about this to The Pharaoh. We mustn't concern him until we know exactly what we are dealing with. Now, back to the Palace."

"Let's follow them. They might be our ticket to finding The Pharaoh."

"Alissa's right. There's a good chance that The Pharaoh is at the Palace." As the group followed the soldiers and High Priests, Alissa couldn't help but stare at the carbon copy of her ex boyfriend. Ishizu's words from their car ride earlier rang through her mind.

"You and Mr. Kaiba will always find a way into each other's hearts." Alissa found herself staring at the ancient Seto again. Ancient Asshole has really nice arms …shut up Alissa. The sound of Tea's voice broke Alissa out of her thoughts.

"Guys, we might want to speed things up! The doors are closing!" The group of five picked up the pace, trying to beat the slowly closing doors. Unfortunately for them, the doors sealed just before they reached them.

"Now what do we do?"

"Don't sweat it Tristan. We can walk through everythin' here. I'm sure stone walls are no exception." Joey said confidently. He grinned and walked straight into the stone gates. He fell backwards with a strangled gasp.

"Joey! Are you okay?"

"I don't get dis! Are we invisible or not?"

"Now what do we do? Anyone have a Plan B?"

"Perhaps I could be of some assistance." A voice boomed from behind them.

"Hey, it's the guy from the town!"

"Him again?"

"Hello my friends!" the large man greeted with a smile. "Forgive me, Bobasa is not used to people seeing him." He jumped down from the ledge he was sitting on. "Want a snack?" Bobasa held out two arms full of food. Joey and Tristan grabbed some and immediately began to eat.

"Bobasa, can we ask you a few questions."

xxx

Unfortunately, all the questions the group asked went unanswered due to the fact that Bobasa didn't know the answers himself. It was now nighttime and the group still hadn't figure out a way to get into the Palace. Suddenly, the gates to the Palace burst open. The friends jumped, turning their heads towards the loud explosion. A figure on a horse passed them, followed by The Pharaoh pursuing the figure on another horse. Slifer the Sky Dragon floated behind him.

"It's The Pharaoh!"

"Did anyone see who he was chasing?"

"It was Bakura."

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go! He needs help!" The group ran through the burning town. Screaming villagers scrambled through, knocking over carts and even each other. The group stopped for a moment to look around.

"There's no sign of The Pharaoh anywhere!"

"Wait! Look up there!" Yugi pointed to the sky. "It's Slifer the Sky Dragon!"

"Well, then I guess we know where The Pharaoh is. Let's keep going!" The group began to sprint in the direction that they saw Slifer the Sky Dragon. If only we weren't invisible, then we could use horses.

"Come on guys, we've gotta pick up the pace!"

"We're going as fast as we can Alissa!"

"Guys, I see him!" Tristan pointed to the mob of horses up ahead. The Pharaoh sat on his horse at the front of the large group. He swayed slightly, as if he was about to pass out. The group reached him just as he fell off his horse. Yugi knelt down next to his double and supported him in his arms.

"Pharaoh?" To the group's immense relief, The Pharaoh's eyes cracked open.

"Yugi? Is that you?"

"Hey! He can see us!"

"Are you okay? What's going on?"

"You guys shouldn't be here, it's too dangerous."

"Oh please, we're best friends. Of course we're going to be here. Besides, flirting with danger is what we do."

"Alissa is right!" Yugi grabbed onto The Pharaoh's hand. "You and I are a team remember?" The Pharaoh squeezed Yugi's hand in response before throwing himself back onto his horse, his energy completely returned.

"Kick this guy's ass Egyptian style Pharaoh! Show him how we take out the trash!" The group watched as The Pharaoh summoned The Winged Dragon of Ra. That's right Ancient Bakura, stick that in your juice box and suck it. The Pharaoh is gonna take you down! The five friends watched the battle between the monsters continue. The battle didn't last very long before the Thief King's monster caught fire and was destroyed.

"He did it! He destroyed his monster!"

"Alright Pharaoh, you won!"

"Yes, but none of it would've been possible without the help from you guys."

"Oh please Pharaoh, you kick butt on your own. This was all you."

"But it was because of you that I gained the strength I needed to defeat Bakura. So thank you."

"No problem, like I said we're a team."

"Yugi's right, all for one and one for all!" The friends' happy reunion was interrupted by gusts of strong winds.

"What's happening?" Yugi, Tea, Joey, Tristan, and Alissa were suddenly sucked into the air.

"Pharaoh!"

"Yugi!" Suddenly, the group of five was once again running through the burning town.

"Is it just me or did we run through here already?"

"It's not just you Dude! Either we ran through here already or I'm having a déjà vu moment!"

"Well whatever is going on, we have to hurry! The Pharaoh needs us! Quick, he's right up there!"

"Pharaoh!" The Pharaoh sat on his horse and looked ready to pass out. The group watched in horror as Bakura's monster appeared and shot a burst of purple light at The Pharaoh. The burst of light caused the ground to crack beneath them and sent The Pharaoh flying off his horse. He barely caught onto the ledge of the newly formed chasm with one hand.

"Why are you doing this Bakura? Tell me!"

"I'm just taking back what's rightfully mine." Bakura leaned down and took the Millennium Puzzle from The Pharaoh's neck. "Enjoy the Shadow Realm Pharaoh." Bakura stepped on The Pharaoh's hand, sending him plummeting into the darkness.

"Pharaoh no!" The group of five friends rushed to the ledge that they just watched their friend disappear over.

"What have you done Bakura?" Tristan charged Bakura with his fists drawn. He punched the white haired man in the face, sending his head swinging to the side. The evil man smirked before grabbing Tristan by the neck.

"Hey! Let my pal go!" Joey yelled, running to his brunet friend's aid. Bakura smirked and threw Tristan into Joey, knocking them both over.

"You fools, you're no match for us!"

"Wanna bet Skinny Dick?" Alissa snapped, rushing forward.

"Alissa don't," Joey warned, trying to stop her. Bakura smirked as she approached him.

"Don't get in my way you foolish girl." With one hard shove, Bakura sent Alissa flying over the edge after The Pharaoh.

"Alissa, no!"

Seto landed his Blue Eyes jet in from of the Cairo museum. He was shocked to find Ishizu, Odion, and Marik waiting for him outside.

"Hmph, who are you three? The welcoming committee?"

"Have you forgotten us already Mr. Kaiba?"

"Pft, how could I forget the three freaks who turned my Battle City tournament into a circus sideshow? Now if you'll step aside, I have some work to do."

"Don't bother Kaiba. What you've come here to find is no longer in there."

"Hmph, why's that?"

"The stone tablet has been returned to its resting place. The Pharaoh's tablet is what you seek am I correct?"

"Not quite."

"Then what is it you seek?" Seto dug into his coat pocket and removed the Millennium Eye. The three Ishtars looked at the Eye in shock.

"I came here because of this. That punk Bakura handed it to me before he ran out in the middle of our duel. I'm here to finish things."

"Bakura?" Marik asked in confusion. "He must be planning to stop The Pharaoh from fulfilling his destiny. We have to stop him! But how?"

"Kaiba, I'll make you a deal," Ishizu began. "I'll help you locate Bakura and you'll help us save The Pharaoh."

"Hmph, whatever." Several minutes later, Seto found himself outside a tomb. Seto scoffed and stepped down the stairs into the tomb. Bakura's unconscious body was lying on the floor.

"Bakura? What happened here? Hmph, our rematch will have to wait." He reached the bottom of the steps and his eyes widened in surprise. The unconscious bodies of Yugi, Joey, Tristan, Tea, and Alissa were strewn across the ground of the tomb.

"No way! It's the geek patrol." He kneeled down next to them and was relieved to see that they were all still breathing. Not that I care or anything, he thought. He looked up and saw a very familiar artifact in front of him. No way, I've seen this before! This tablet was at the museum back in Domino! Suddenly, the Millennium Eye he was carrying in his hand began to glow. The yellow light shone on the tablet, revealing a vision of the past. Priest Seto stood beside The Pharaoh. No way! That's me! Suddenly, the tablet itself began to glow. Seto took a step back, bringing an arm up over his chest protectively. What's going on? A vortex appeared, sucking him into the tablet. He soon found himself in an old looking village. Before he could even gather what happened, he felt an immense amount of pain pulsate through his body. The pain was enough to send him into unconsciousness.

Pain radiated throughout her body, bringing Alissa back into consciousness. Ow. What the hell happened? Did a truck hit me? She looked around and found herself in a cave of some sort.

"Yugi? Pharaoh? Guys?" There was no response. Great, of course I'm the one that gets lost in Ancient Egypt…maybe I shouldn't have charged Bakura. Way to be a dumb ass Alissa. She pulled herself to her feet and groaned. Yeah, I was definitely hit by a truck. She slowly began making her way through the cave, her hand gliding along the wall for support. After what felt like hours, she found the opening to the cave. She frowned when she realized she was just outside the village.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" she yelled in frustration. "I'm right back where we started!" Maybe I'll just head back to the Palace. Maybe they found The Pharaoh and are back there already. She began walking through the village, hoping to see any signs that her friends were okay. She suddenly bumped into someone.

"Holy shit!" she yelped, jumping back in surprise. I thought I was supposed to be invisible!

"Alissa." She looked up at the person she had bumped into and frowned.

"Kaiba?" Fuck. My. Life!

Well, there we have it, chapter twenty-eight. Originally I wasn't going to separate Alissa from the group but apparently I enjoy making characters suffer, and what better way to make them suffer than stick 'em together in Ancient Egypt? Anyhoo, thanks for the reviews guys. I love you all and I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
