Well people, Grease is over. You know what that means; I actually have free time for the first time since the end of June! So, hopefully updates will start happening much more frequently. Anyhoo, I'm glad you guys have been enjoying these last few chapters, despite their short length. Well, here's the next chapter!

"Can you at least try to keep up? I didn't realize that you coming along would be such a liability."

"Go suck a thick one, I'm walking as fast as I can! It's not my fault your limbs are like four feet long. One of your steps is like two of mine!"

"Do you have to be so dramatic? My limbs are nowhere near being four feet long. If keeping up is going to be such a problem for you, then why don't you go find your loser friends?"

"Call my friends losers one more time and I'll shove my foot so far up your ass that you'll be able to taste the laces."

"I'd be a little more intimidated if the shoes you were wearing currently actually had laces." Her eye twitched. I'm going to kill him.

"Yeah, well shut up. You're annoying." She scowled at him when she heard him chuckle. "What the hell are you laughing at?"

"Nothing. Your comebacks are usually much more scathing is all."

"Yeah well I'm low on food and sleep so coming up with articulated retorts isn't exactly my main concern right now." She looked around as she picked up her pace a little. She was beginning to doubt following Kisara. They'd been following her for several minutes and they were currently in the middle of the desert.

"Maybe we shouldn't have followed her. We're in the middle of nowhere! I'm pretty sure I saw the Cave of Wonders back there!"

"We're in the wrong country," he stated carelessly.

"What?" she snapped in confusion.

"The Cave of Wonders is in Agrabah, granted it's a fictional place, but its approximate location is along the Jordan River." She blinked slowly.

"Since when do you know anything about Disney?" He scoffed in annoyance.

"I know it may be hard for you to believe, but I once had a childhood too, no matter how brief it was." She could feel him getting irritated so she held up her hands in defense.

"Geez, forget I said something. If I knew you were going to get defensive, I wouldn't have said anything."

"I'm getting defensive because you have a habit of assuming to know me."

"Dating someone for over half a year doesn't constitute as knowing someone well?"

"You. Know. Nothing," he hissed, punctuating each word. "Don't you dare act like you do." She usually would've had some sort of snarky retort, but the firmness of his voice shocked her into silence.

"There she is!" she shouted, finally breaking the silence. "She's going into that temple."

"We should keep going, unless of course you'd prefer to find you friends. In that case, we'll part ways here."

"I'm not sure if this occurred to you, but we're in the middle of the desert. This is the only structure we've seen for a while. I hate to break it to you, but it looks like your stuck with me until we get back into the presence of people."

"Great. Well, if I'm going to be stuck in your company, at least keep up." Instead of snapping back, she stayed quiet this time and started walking faster. The two went up the steps of the temple and spotted her.

"There she is."

"Kisara!" The two quickly hid behind a pillar when they heard a voice coming from inside the temple.

"Someone's coming." The ancient version of Seto appeared at the entrance of the temple.

"Seto!" Kisara cried in relief, running to meet him. "I knew I'd find you."

"It isn't safe for you to be here," Priest Seto warned.

"It's that guy again," Seto whispered.

"That guy is you." Seto scoffed at Alissa's response.

"Give me a break." Evil laughter echoed through the temple, bringing the couple's attention back to their ancient counterparts. A large, faceless creature with matted red hair appeared at the top of the temple.

"Ugh! What is that?" Suddenly, the ground began to shake violently. The pillars shook, causing rubble to fall.

"Protect your head," Seto ordered, placing one arm over Alissa's head and the other arm over his own head.

"Zorc's resurrection has begun! You must act swiftly my son!" the monster commanded. "Use your Millennium Rod to seize the White Dragon!"

"I am not your son, for my father left me when he pledged his loyalty to the shadows!" Priest Seto responded. "Let us go, Kisara!" The ancient couple ran towards the temple steps. Before they could reach them, huge slabs of rock shot out from the ground, blocking their path.

"They're trapped! We have to help!" Alissa started to run forward, but Seto grasped her tightly by the waist and pulled her back.

"We can't do anything. If this really is the past like you claim it is, then we shouldn't interfere, it could mess up the future. We wouldn't be able to do anything anyway, we're immaterial."

"But they need help!"

"If that really is supposed to be me, then there's nothing to worry about. I've always exceled at problem solving in case you've forgotten." A dark blue and purple monster with wings suddenly burst through the stones that were serving as a barrier. It carried a shinning blade and swung it wildly. Priest Seto and Kisara ran forward to continue their escape.

"You'll never escape me!" the faceless creature shrieked, jumping from its place on the top of the temple. The creature landed in front of the escaping duo.

"You're no match for me, Seto."

"Is that so, Shadow Magus?" The blue and purple creature that had freed the duo previously landed in front of them. It held its sword tightly; ready to protect them if needed.

"That must be your Ka," Alissa said softly. Seto scoffed but didn't respond.

"You leave me no choice, my son!" Shadow Magus declared, holding out his palms. Shadows exploded from his hands and formed the body of a humanoid beast. The reddish colored beast grabbed Priest Seto's monster and crushed it between two big hands. Priest Seto grunted in pain and held onto his chest.

"Seto!" Kisara exclaimed in concern. Suddenly, Kisara's hair and eyes began to glow and the Blur Eyes White Dragon appeared above her.

"It's my Blue Eyes White Dragon," Seto said in shock, watching the battle between the two ancient counter parts and the faceless beast.

"Do you still think all that's been happening is a hallucination." A roaring sound pulled the duo's attention back to their ancient counterparts. They watched in worry and surprise as a slab of stone rose from the ground and the Blue Eyes was smashed against it.

"He's trying to kill me-er Kisara!"

"It looks like she's still going to fight," Seto stated, watching as Kisara pulled herself to her feet from the last hit.

"Kisara, you must stop. You no longer have the strength to fight," Priest Seto said in concern.

"I know what I'm doing. I'm not going to let him hurt you, Seto."

"Hurt him? I plan to transform him into the most powerful king that ever lived, you foolish girl!"

"But at what cost? I'm not going to become a puppet of Zorc like you did! Kisara helped me realize something, I would rather be a peasant in a world that's shinning with hope than a Pharaoh in a world contaminated by darkness." Pft, this guy can't seriously be me, Seto thought after his past self finished his proclamation. This guy's a sap!

"You're going to choose this riff raff over your own flesh and blood?" the creature demanded, ripping away the faceless mask to reveal a shriveled face and red eyes.

"Augh! And I thought that thing couldn't get any uglier!" Alissa said in disgust.

"I brought you into this world, Seto, and I have the power to remove you from it!"

"You're no longer my father! You're nothing but a weak old man with a heart full of darkness!" The evil man roared, ordering his monster to release a deadly blast of dark energy. A blast of energy that was headed straight for Priest Seto. The duo from the present froze as they watched Kisara leap in front of Priest Seto and take the hit. She fell backwards into Priest Seto's arms and the Blue Eyes was finally sucked into the stone slab. Alissa looked at her past self's motionless body in shock.

"Oh my God. I just watched myself die."

"Would you stop it with the bull about past lives? Someone who bares a resemblance to you died, so what? People die every day."

"Hmph, thanks for the concern." The sound of hooves brought the duo's attention to the steps behind them. The Pharaoh rode his horse up towards the temple with a serious expression on his face. Seto pushed himself and Alissa further behind the pillar, hiding them from The Pharaoh's sight.

"It's Yugi."

"No, idiot, it's The Pharaoh! And he's okay!" Seto firmly gripped her forearm when she went to step forward. She frowned and turned her gaze towards him.

"Excuse me? Let go of my arm."

"How about you take a look at your surroundings before you go flinging yourself into danger?"

"What the hell do you mean?" She looked over to where Priest Seto and The Pharaoh were and noticed that someone was missing. "Where'd that freak that killed Kisara go?"

"Who do you think is the one controlling Yugi's little friend?" Alissa looked at Priest Seto closely and noticed the blank look in his blue eyes.

"He's being controlled." Seto sighed.

"I believe that's what I just said." Alissa and Seto stared at the two Egyptians as the Blue Eyes White Dragon was summoned.

"He just summoned Blue Eyes! We have to help The Pharaoh."

"No," Seto said firmly, refusing to loosen his grip on her arm. "He's the King of Games, he should be able to handle himself just fine."

"Stop being facetious."

"I'm not, I'm simply stating a fact. If he can't figure a way out of this, then perhaps the title of King of Games doesn't really belong to him." A loud roar stopped Alissa from responding.

"Blue Eyes, attack!" Regardless of Priest Seto's orders, the monster didn't attack. "How dare you disobey me! I said attack now!" The dragon suddenly exploded in a burst of blue light and dust. The clouds that had covered the sun as the fight began cleared to reveal the sun again. Priest Seto lifted Kisara's lifeless body into his arms and fell to his knees in front of the stone tablet that now held the spirit of his dear friend and love.

"What the hell just happened?"

"Why are you asking me?"

"You're Seto Kaiba, aren't you supposed to know everything?" Seto rolled his eyes before coming out from behind the pillar.

"Nice outfit, Yugi." The Pharaoh turned upon hearing Seto's voice.

"Kaiba? What are you doing in this world?"

"I've been asking myself the same question. Do you think I wanted to come here? I can think of better vacation spots than this dump."

"Pharaoh!" The Pharaoh smiled broadly when he saw Alissa.

"Alissa? You're okay! Yugi and the group are worried about you. They said you got separated. What happened?"

"Well, after Bakura sent you over the edge of the hole to the middle of the Earth, I might've lost it a little bit."

"What derogatory name did you use this time?"

"I called him Skinny Dick then he promptly sent me flying over the edge after you."

"Well the others will be happy to know that you're safe."

"Where are they?"

"They're searching for my real name."

"Oh, well then I guess it's a good thing that Tea bought you that cartouche huh?"

"Yugi, would you mind explaining to me why everyone is running around in these ridiculous costumes and speaking like they're in some bad Shakespearian play? And what about him? Am I supposed to believe that's some ancient version of me?"

"Yes, his name is Seto. Five thousand years ago he fought bravely by my side. I recently learned that my father and his father were brothers."

"Are you saying we're cousins?"

"All I know is that we've gone back in time."

"I fucking told you so!" She saw the frown on Pharaoh's face and slapped her palm over her mouth. "Sorry, keep going."

"The same evil force that threatened the world five thousand years ago has somehow returned. You both must leave here at once, it isn't safe."

"You may buy that you're some hot shot pharaoh, but I don't. And King of Egypt of not, no one tells Seto Kaiba what to do!" Suddenly, dark clouds filled the sky and blocked the sun, plunging the city into darkness.

"Uh Pharaoh, is there a reason it just got really dark?"

"It's Zorc, he's returned."
