Here's the next chapter. Quite surprise I managed to Finnish this one. Been working overtime this week, and seeing as my senior is on holiday I'm running the room. Can't wait till I have my week off.
Anyway due to a broken laptop, this is written again from my phone. It tell me of my spelling mistakes but not my grammar ones. So apologies for any mistakes.
Chapter Three: The Next Day
The Musketeer's Garrison
Athos grabbed some breakfast and sat at his normal table and began to eat. D'Artagnan was already there clearing his gun, humming some Gascon folksong.
"How can you be this cheerful in the morning?" Mumble Athos. He personally hated morning - normally because he was nursing an hangover at the same time.
"I was brought by on an farm remember, I alway woke up early... Its a hard habit to break" said d'Artagnan shrugging.
"Somehow I can't imagine you working in the fields and milking cows" comment Athos. The imagine of d'Artagana working in the fields was almost surreal.
D'Artagnan looked amused for an moment "Why do you think I come to Paris in the first place? I cause too much trouble to be an farmer"
Athos didn't comment it was too early into morning for jokes "Were are Aramis and Porthos?"
"They said they need to release some energy before we head to the Palace..." d'Artagnan trail off as Treville come to view looking ready to punch something. He stop to talk to different groups of musketeers before he made it too Athos and d'Artagnan.
"Don't eat out to day" warned Treville shaply "I've got five men ill already this morning"
"Poison?" Asked d'Artagnan at once
"It could be bad cooking" suggest Athos, pushing his breakfast away from him. He was suddenly not hungry any more.
Treville looked seriously at them "I'm not taking that risk. Tell Porthos and Aramis when they return" with that Treville walked away.
"Don't look so worried" said Athos taking one look on d'Artagnan face. He saw Porthos and Aramis coming back to the garrison "Come on, we're got work to do"
In the Paris Streets
Francis lost his way to the garrison a couple of times, but as last he arrived. "What you want?" a older musketeer who was sitting near the entrance.
"I want to see Charles d'Artagnan. I believe his an musketeer" said Francis trying not to be intimidated by the solider. "I've been ask to deliver a letter to him"
"I've give d'Artagnan the letter" said the musketeer holding out his hand
"I rather deliver the letter myself" said Francis at once "I don't mean to seem rude but I travel a long way, and I want to make certain this reaches him"
The musketeer study him for an moment. Francis blamed his accent - it seem to get him into a lot of trouble lately "D'Artagnan is on duty at the moment. When he returns I will inform him." Said the musketeer finally.
"Thank you" said Francis, his British manners coming though "I've got lodging in the black dog inn. I will meet him there" before walking away. Francis though it was best not to leave a name. He wasn't sure if his cousin knew he even existed. He didn't know what he was told about their grandfather. Francis had to deliver the letter, had an promise to keep.
The Musketeer Garrison - late Afternoon
The four musketeers walked back into the garrison later that day. They only got half way though the courtyard when Bennett shout out. "Hey d'Artagnan do you happen to know anyone English?'
"No" said d'Artagnan at once, he stopped in his tracks. looking confused "Why?"
"Some man with an English accent was looking for you, had a letter" said Niklas joining the conversation. Apparently gossip was low to day "Didn't give a name but said he was staying at the Black Dog Inn"
"Any idea what that's about?" Asked Athos
D'Artagnan shook his head "The only letters I get are from Gascony... Guess I will find out... There's no need to come too, it's just a letter" he added as Athos, Aramis and Porthos got ready to come with him. With that d'Artagnan was gone.
"A strange man, with an English accent with a letter for d'Artagnan" said slowly "Aren't you a bit curious?"
"D'Artagnan dose find trouble easily" added Porthos
"And I know a certain women who wouldn't be happy if something happens to him again" added Aramis in a low voice. The situation with d'Artagana and Constant was complex, especially now Constance had said she never loved d'Artagnan.
Athos couldn't denied he was interested, but he knew d'Artagnan would tell them what it was about when he returned. "Leave him alone" he said
"There's someone poisoning musketeers" pointed out Aramis.
"Oh, he hasn't be poison yet" said Porthos "That be the next thing that will happen to him"
Athos shook his head. Out of all of them d'Artagnan was less likely too get poison. He was more weary of what he eats. But at the same time he had got into a habit of getting himself hurt. "Go if you want, but he probably not going to thank you for spying on him"
