(AN) Hello and welcome to my brand new NCIS Fanfic: Dark Obsession. This story is set during Season 20: between the episodes Old Wounds and Unusual Suspects, so I hope you enjoy it.

NCIS: Dark Obsession
Prologue
Kevin and Audrey Daly were enjoying a lovely meal at Gino's Italian Restaurant; happy to have some time to themselves while discussing a Navy fundraising event that was to be held in a few days time. The event was a marathon to help raise 5K for breast cancer research. Kevin, Audrey and their daughter Emma would be taking part, along with some of their co-workers and the NCIS team.
"You know, Kevin, I think pink suits you," said Audrey teasingly, "Brings out the color in your eyes."
"Thanks for the compliment," chuckled Kevin, "Hopefully I'm still a good runner."
"I'm sure you still are." said Audrey before smiling and holding Kevin's hand.
"Oh my god, Kevin Daly, is that you?" said a voice.
Kevin and Audrey turned and saw a woman standing near the table. She was tall and had short blonde hair tied back into a bun.
"Oh my god, Christina McKaren?" said a shocked Kevin, "I haven't seen you since high school."
"I'm sorry, but who the hell are you?" asked Audrey, glaring at the woman with a look of jealousy.
"Christina McKaren?" said the woman in confusion, "I used to go out with your boyfriend. He must've mentioned me?"
"Nope, never heard of you," replied Audrey stiffly, "I'm his wife, Audrey."
Christina finally noticed the wedding ring on Audrey's finger.
"Nice to meet you." replied Christina, though she didn't sound very pleased.
"You too," said Audrey before turning to Kevin, "Kevin, honey, can I have a word with you."
Audrey got up, pulled Kevin to his feet and steered the man through to the toilets.
"What the hell, Kevin, you didn't mention you had another ex-girlfriend!" said Audrey sternly, "Is there anything else I should know about!"
"Audrey, I swear that's the only ex-girlfriend you didn't know about," said Kevin calmly, "and there's a good reason why I never brought up Christina.
"Why not?" demanded Audrey.
"Because I didn't want to bring up bad memories. She was a control freak," informed Kevin, "She was super clingy, wouldn't let me do anything by myself or talk to other girls on my own because she would think I'd cheated. When she didn't get her way, she would hit me. Eventually I broke up with her. I didn't think she still lived here."
"She sounds like a nightmare," remarked Audrey, "I think you should tell Tim about her. I know I'm jumping to conclusions, but I didn't like the way she was looking at me, and she sounds dangerous."
"Agreed. I'll definitely speak with Tim." said Kevin.
The couple then exchanged kisses.
Kevin and Audrey returned to the main area and went over to Christina.
"Sorry about that," said Kevin, "I just forgot to mention you; sorry."
"That's alright," replied Christina in a poor attempt at a cheerful tone, "I'm … happy for you. So, what are you doing these days?"
"I decided to join the Navy after 9/11," replied the Navy commander, "I'm now a Navy commander and an Intelligence officer, and I have two children."
"Oh," replied the blonde, "I'm working at Washington General now. I'm … happy for you."
Kevin felt somewhat uneasy. The way Christina had said that made it clear that she wasn't really happy.
Soon after, Christina watched as Kevin and Audrey left. She wanted Kevin all to herself and was determined to get rid of his wife and kids.
