"Goodbye! ~Nya!" Ichigo was on her way to a convention in Downtown city, and had just run into some people who had needed help with finding their hotel. Luckily, she happened to be staying at the same hotel, so she was able to help them out, to a certain extent. "I hope Mark's okay." She hadn't been able to get him off of her mind since she left. Ah, Mark. He was so brave, and chivalrous, and… A ball flew past Ichigo's face at light speed. "Ahh!" There was a flash of light, and there was Ichigo, sitting on the grass, in the form of a cat.

"Why hello there, what are you doing here?" A girl, about her age, picked Ichigo up.

"Oh, just hanging out, is all." Ichigo said sarcastically.

"Really? You looked a little...surprised." Ichigo jumped. "Oh, I'm sorry, do you want back down?"

"How do you understand me?!" Ichigo asked, shaking in fear.

"It's a long story, that I don't really want to tell you here. I'll tell you inside though, if you want to come in." Ichigo nodded. "Oh, my name's Blythe, by the way. What's yours?"

"I'm Ichigo."

"Ichigo? Interesting. Well Ichigo, welcome to Littlest Pet Shop." Blythe opened the door, and walked up to the pet shop counter, where she set Ichigo down. "So what's your story?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"Why were you out there on your own? That doesn't happen much, you know."

"I thought you were going to tell me about how you can understand me!"

"Right. Well you see, when I moved here, I got into a dumbwaiter accident, and hit my head. Somehow, that gave me the ability to understand animals. Don't ask me why, though."

"Uh, Blythe, you may want to... Oh! Who's this?"

"This is Ichigo, I just met her outside the shop, I'll be back there in a couple of minutes."

"Alright." Russell retreated back into the back of the shop.

"So, what's your story?"

"It's a little complicated."

"I doubt it could be more complicated than mine."

"Oh really? Well, I may just have to give you the unedited version then, as long as you agree to keep it a secret."

"Your secret's safe with me, Ichigo."

"I'm not always a cat."

Blythe almost fell over. "What?"

"I'm not always a cat. Well, not like this, anyways."

"What do you mean?"

"Let me show you." Ichigo turned to face the laptop that was sitting on the counter, and typed something. She turned the screen to face Blythe. The screen showed five girls, all with animal features, fighting what seemed to be a giant mutant snake. The picture then changed to a map of Downtown city, with an arrow pointing to a convention center not far from Littlest. Blythe fell over.

"So...you're half cat, half human?"

"Yes, and normally, you can't even tell. Sometimes my ears and tail will pop out, but I'm usually pretty good at hiding them, so it's not very often that a random stranger will know that I'm not entirely normal."

"What are you called? I mean, because you're a hybrid and all."

"I'm a Mew Mew."

"A Mew Mew...right. And what are you doing in Downtown City?"

"We're here for a comic convention."

"We?"

"Me and the other Mew Mews."

"So, why don't I take you to them, and they can help you?"

"None of them understand me."

"Well that throws a bit of a wrench in the works. When do you have to be at the convention center?"

"Our first panel is at four."

"What? You have a panel?"

"Yes. We're not here on vacation or something like that. We're here as Tokyo Mew Mew, Defenders of the Earth!"

"So let me get this straight… you're a half-girl, half-cat superhero, who, with the help of other human animal hybrids, fights against aliens and other crazy things like that, and you're here in Downtown City for a comic convention?"

"Yup."

"You expect me to believe that?"

"I told you it was complicated!" Blythe suddenly looked shocked, and then fainted.

"Oh, I surprised her...well I was hoping I could meet with a friend of mine, but she seems to not be here…" Ichigo turned around, and there was a guy with pointy ears and pale skin floating next to a display of wind-up mice.

"Dren! What are you doing here?" Dren turned, puzzled. Ichigo turned to the computer, and typed her question out.

"How do you know my name, kitty cat?"

Ichigo went back to typing. "How many times do I have to tell you, don't call me that!"

"But we've only just...oh! That's why I sensed a Mew Mew, you're Ichigo!"

"And he finally puts it together."

"Hey, I've never seen you like this."

"That's true...so why are you here?"

"I came to see what the mystery Mew Mew was up to."

"We're all in Downtown city for the comic convention this weekend. We're also looking for potential Mew Mews while we're here."

"Well, that sounds like fun. Building up an army to fight aliens, are we?"

"Only if they attack us first. Otherwise, we hope to be peacekeepers. We got a few in England, so we figured we would look here too. Elliot and Wesley are training them back in Tokyo. You know, I bet they would love your help."

"Why would they want my help?"

"Some of the newbies don't even want to transform. They took the opportunity to become superheros, and now they want nothing to do with the rest of us."

"How am I supposed to fix that?"

"Attack them with Predasites that are so weak, even a human could beat them. Once they see what they're up against now, and what they can do as Mew Mews, they'll join up for sure!"

"You really think so?" Ichigo nodded.

"That's how I got Mint to join me."

"I'll think about it...oh, your friend is waking up."

"Oh, Russell, I just had the strangest dream."

"That was no dream, Blythe." Russell replied.

Blythe opened her eyes. "Ah!"

"Now, Blythe, don't faint again. Dren won't hurt you, he just came to talk to me."

"Well, I think I'll leave you three to talk...bye!" Dren teleported away, and Blythe jumped.

"I should have warned you about that…anyways, do you think you could take me to the convention center? If I don't go soon, I'll be late, and I need as much time as possible once I'm there to get back to normal."

"Right. Let's get going." Blythe took Ichigo outside, and they both got on her scooter. After a minute or two, Blythe knew where she was going, and they were off! "So, what's it like being a superhero?"

"Oh, it's not bad. It's pretty hard work, but knowing you're saving the world makes it all worth it. What's it like being able to understand animals?"

"It's different than normal life, that's for sure, and I really don't like keeping it a secret, but hey, I've got friends that no other person could possibly have, so I'm okay with it." The girls pulled up outside the convention center. "Say, how are you going to turn back into...you?"

"I know how, I just have to tell the other Mew Mews that it's me. Oh, and I need to get into the center too, since animals aren't allowed in."

"I can help with that. I'm pretty good at sneaking pets into places they shouldn't be."

"I'm not a pet."

"Same difference."

"Whatever. Can you distract the guard while I sneak past?"

"Sure. Except, I don't have tickets, so I can't get in."

"Sure you do. Your name isn't Blythe anymore. You're now Britanny Tilns."

"I am?"

"Yes you are. She was supposed to come with us to the convention, but she couldn't so we have an unused ticket."

"Alright. I'll get to work." Blythe walked over to the guard, and started talking with him, making quite the scene. Ichigo quietly slipped past, hoping that Blythe wouldn't be angry that she had just gotten her into trouble.

"Miss, there is no Britanny Tilns on the list. You will need to go and buy a ticket at the booth, or I will have to escort you off the premises."

"I'm here with Tokyo Mew Mew! You have to let me in!"

"RIght, and I'm the Easter Bunny. You're coming with me."

"No! Let her through. She's with us." The guard turned to face the voice, and saw none other than Zakuro Fujiwara. "Well? Let her through."

"Of course! Uh, sorry for the misunderstanding miss." The guard nodded politely, and turned back to face the oncoming crowd.

"How did you know we were here?" Zakuro stared Blythe down.

"Well, it's funny you should ask...it's a bit of a long story. Let's walk and talk."

"You mean that cat is? And I have to? Ewww! Why me?"

"You're the only one that doesn't have a part in the opening address for the panel, Mint. So you're the only real option."

"But I don't want to...oh, why?!" Mint shook her head. "Fine you two open us up, I'll deal with Ichigo." She headed backstage.

There was a loud crash, and a huge eye flew into the room. "Look! You will obey!" The crowd looked up, and fell into a trance. A short figure descended from the ceiling. "I'm so glad Elliot got me to do this! It's going to be so much fun!"

"Well, I guess since we're alone, now's as good a time as any Ichigo…" Mint leaned in, and closed her eyes in disgust.

"Well that's that dealt with." Blythe looked around, at the carnage. The room looked nothing like it had a half an hour ago. That should be expected, though, she assumed, considering an alien had just attacked them. "You okay, Blythe?" Zakuro asked. Blythe nodded. "Okay." Blythe continued looking around, and Zakuro walked up to Ichigo. "Did you see that?"

"I did. I can't believe we found her."

"Me neither Ichigo, me neither."
