A/N [READ FIRST!]: Fucking finally, after about a year, I finally have a new chapter up. Sorry 'bout the long wait. I've been extremely busy. I'll try to get more up quicker. I also have plans to end Heaven or Hell Part 1 soon. I'll start part 2 right after it. Of course there'll be a twist at the end of part 1 that will play a huge role in part 2. As for Shattered Dimensions, I've plans to keep this going for at least another 10 or 20 chapters, with a sequel planned. In the next few chapters, you'll see a lot of old faces from Heaven or Hell, and a lot more faces from Shattered Timelines. You'll also see a lot of new faces. For now, here's a new chapter continuing the Memories Saga. There are a lot of explanations, but even more questions. Enjoy!

Shattered Dimensions

Chapter 10, Memories Part 2

Zhianwuo's POV

Roask's Empire

I stood in the middle of an empty room. I needed time to think, so I cleared the room. For the first time ever, I questioned why I served the Emperor. He was losing his grip on his empire. It would soon fall. And when the time came, I would help it along. Then I will kill my former master and begin my reign, and murder all who opposed me. I just hope that Amy would choose to join me. I then felt something was wrong, I could no longer sense Amy. I quickly found the "link" I had placed in her, and my troubled mind subsided. That was strange that I lost her. Something else was at work here. And I intended to find out what.

Shoreline near Tyler's Flagship

Nobody's POV

Jake knelt down next to one of the skeletons. He brushed some of the sand off of it. He determined the cause of death of whoever this was to be a caved skull. There wasn't much but fragments of the head above the brow ridge. It seemed as though great force was exerted on it by something resembling a fist.

"These are recent, maybe a week out at most," Jake said, drawing Amy's attention away from another body. She walked over to Jake looking at the body he knelt over.

"How can you tell?" Amy asked. Jake pointed to some pink tinting on the bones.

"Because I can still see where the flesh was torn from the bones," Jake replied.

"It looks like some kind of animal attacked this person," Amy said, face contorting at the thought.

"Not an animal," Jake said, standing. Amy watched as he moved to another skeleton, brushing the sand off of it.

"A monster, a creature," Jake paused as he saw a dog tag still wrapped around its neck, "A ghoul. One of Roask's experiments in genetic engineering. Trying to make a perfect army, an invincible army." Jake picked up the dog tag and looked at it. The name was scratched off, so he dropped the tag.

"You've mentioned this guy, this Roask now twice. Who the hell is he?" Amy asked, annoyed at the little information he has provided thus far. Jake looked to her with a raised brow.

"Man, you really have lost your memory," Jake said, running his hand through his hair. He was surprised to find that it was now reaching his shoulder. And though was out of his eyes, it was scraggly and a somewhat greasy. He quickly retracted his hand from his hair and felt his face. He felt a short beard upon his face.

"Shit, how much time passed since I left the ship?" he whispered to himself. He looked to the skeleton below him.

"Roask," Jake started, "Roask is a ruthless emperor. He rules a territory in the Northwest, a territory given up by The Earth Kingdom back when the Fire Nation invaded. Now keep in mind this is all in another dimension. Somehow, he opened some kind of wormhole to this dimension. Now, he plans to rule this dimension, for whatever reason. And started by building his empire here exactly the same as in the other dimension." Amy looked at him like he was either an idiot or on drugs.

"That is literally the stupidest thing ever," Amy stated, taking a stance to make herself look tough. Jake shook his head. From the time he knew her, Amy was determined. Jake stood and faced Amy. He stared down Amy but she did not back away. Jake looked past Amy. The beach was different again.

"Ah man, not again," Jake said continuing to look over her shoulder. Amy then looked around, noticing the beach was different. And that the ship was now afloat in the deep waters of the cove.

"Wait, what is not again supposed to mean? Does this happen to you a lot?" she asked. A wind blew across the beach, but did not affect them. There was a thick fog in the air. Only to the mountains at the mouth of the cove could be seen. The beach stretched into forest on all other sides.

"You have no idea," Jake replied. They both watched as a man walked from the treeline in front of them, followed by two blue-masked men. The man in the middle nodded. The other two ran back into the forest.

"Who the hell's that?" Amy whispered.

"Why are you whispering?" I replied, "He can't hear or see us. And, as for who he is, that is Roask."

"He's a lot taller than I thought he'd be," Amy thought out loud. Roask dresses in usual battle dress. But he does not wear his helmet, nor shirt. On his chest is painted, whether in blood or red dye, a pentagram. A common symbol among Roask's empire. Roask slowly walks out towards the shore and, inadvertently, Amy and Jake. Amy saw this symbol and looked to Jake.

"He has a pentagram on his chest," she said in a confused manner.

"It's a symbol that is common among Roask's empire," Jake replied, "It symbolizes the five elements."

"Five? Aren't there four?" Amy asked. Jake watched as Roask got closer.

"There are five according to Roask; earth, air, water, fire, and spirit," Jake explained. After Jake was right about Roask being real, Amy was open to anything now. But, before their conversation could continue, Roask stood in front of them. Several blue and green masked soldiers came from the trees.

"Bring it ashore!" Roask ordered the men. The men then water and earth bended the ship into shallow water, and kept on until they were unable to move it anymore. The earthbenders looked to Roask. He nodded to them. They the bended a massive ramp to the deck of the ship. The ramp was large enough to hold a small army.

"Kill them all!" Roask ordered. Soldiers of different colored masks poured out of the forest. The mask colors and meanings are as follows: blue for waterbender, green for earthbender, red for firebender, and gray for non-benders. The next thing Amy and Jake knew, they were on the ship. The sky was blackened. Roask's soldiers stormed the deck of the ship. The crew open fired on Roask's forces. But for every fallen of Roask's soldiers, five more took his place. Soon, all were forced to hand-to-hand combat. There was the boom of thunder and crack of lightning across the sky. Amy looked to the mouth of the cove. She saw the light of the other ship open firing on an unknown entity. A large pillar crashed into the sea near the other ships. But, upon looking up and through the light of gunfire, Amy saw the pillar was the leg of a four-armed monster that towered high over the mountains at the mouth of the cove.

As Amy turned back to Jake, a man with a metal arm join the fight on the deck.

"That's Clayton," Jake said to Amy. She watched as Clayton quickly tore through Roask's troops. She felt like she knew him. An emotion tore through her. It was something akin to disgust. Something about the man put her off.

"He's your," Jake paused, contemplating his next words, "boyfriend. I think. I didn't really pay much attention to any of that. Now they both watched as Roask boarded the ship, sword drawn. He calmly sliced through the ship's sailors and soldiers that dare approached him or shoot at him. Roask and Clayton spotted each other at the same time. Roask stood near the bow of the ship, and Clayton near the conning tower. Roask sheathed his sword, and Clayton raised his M16 and fired upon Roask. Roask quickly dodged the bullets and charged towards Clayton, reaching him in seconds. Roask grabbed the barrel of the M16 and easily bent it upwards. He ripped it out of Clayton's hands and tossed it overboard.

Clayton punched at Roask with his metal arm. But Roask caught it in his hand, stopping the punch dead in its tracks. Still holding Clayton's fist, Roask pulled Clayton into his knee, knocking the wind out of him and causing him to fall to his knees. Clayton felt several of his ribs break. Roask let go of Clayton's fist, and Clayton wrapped an arm around his stomach, struggling for breath. Clayton could not believe he was down in one hit. Before Clayton could recover, Roask brought a right hook across his face, knocking him all the way to the ground. Blood poured freely from Clayton's mouth, his broken jaw offset as it rested on the ground. Clayton tried to get up, but Roask slammed his foot into Clayton's back, breaking several vertebrae and destroying what was left of his ribs. Roask felt Clayton's lungs pop under his foot. Roask removed his foot from Clayton's back, smiling at the bootprint he left. He then grabbed Clayton by his shaggy hair and threw him across the deck and over the side, onto the beach below. Roask then felt a bullet skim his arm and looked over to see the admiral, a man known as Tyler holding his sidearm in firing position. Roask drew his sword. He would make the admiral suffer before he killed him.

Amy then noticed she was no longer on the ship. She looked into the void around her. As she turned around, she came face to face with a man. The man wore only a loincloth. His body was covered in tattoos of the four elements. The man had his eyes closed. His fists were locked in front of his stomach. The man's eyes opened and his tattoos lit up. His eyes were pure white. There was a flash of bright light and she then stood on the roof in the Fire Nation. Jake stood in front of her. She looked into his eyes and knew what came next. She closed her eyes as Jake pulled her in for a passionate kiss. Amy kissed him back. Even with her eyes closed, there was a blinding white light. As it faded, she felt the heat wave rush past her. She opened her eyes to everything being flattened around her. She looked to Jake in front of her. He was nothing more than a charred skeleton. She widened her eyes at the sight. The skeleton fell to its knees, jaw swung open. The word "Murderer" was carved into the skull.

USS Red Mist

Nobody's POV

Amy jolted awake, quickly sitting up only to hunch over, gripping her abdomen from an unknown pain. Her breathing was shallow, and she was drenched in sweat. As the pain subsided, she slowly looked around to the dark room. She found she was in her room on the ship. She began to calm and her breathing began to ease.

"It was just a dream," Amy said quietly to herself, "Just a horrible dream." Amy then had the sudden urge to check on Clayton as if the dream had an effect on reality.

Amy walked out to the flight deck to see Clayton standing, looking at the other ships. A sigh of relief escaped her as she saw he was alright. She silently walked up behind him, and slid her arms up and over his chest. Clayton then looked back to her, and she rested her chin on his shoulder. He softly kissed her on the lips and looked back out over the ocean.

"So, when are we going to leave and head to the Earth Kingdom, so Aang can learn earthbending from King Bumi?" she asked him.

Northern Tundra

Nobody's POV

Two Northern Water Tribe children, brother and sister, played a game of tag. Their house only one hundred yards away. Their mother sat on the front porch sewing and watching her children play. The brother ran from his sister, both laughing and playfully screaming during the game. As the brother ran further away from the house he came upon a figure laying face down in the snow, unmoving, burn marks across its back. a thin sheet of frost covered the figure. The brother slowed to a stop and stared at the figure. His sister caught up to him and touched his back.

"You're it," she said smiling. She started to run away before noticing that her brother wasn't pursuing. She then marched back over to her brother. Before she could say anything, her brother spoke.

"What's that?" her brother asked, pointing to the body. She followed his point to the figure. They both looked at each other before slowly approaching the figure. As they got closer, they could see that it was a body of a man, his face half covered in snow. His mouth was slightly open and his visible eye closed. His frost laced face was covered in burns. His body did not move.

"Is he dead?" the brother asked. His sister gave an evil grin.

"You should touch him and find out," she said.

"You touch him first," her brother countered. The children heard a noise and turned back to the body. But it did not move. They were both unnerved now. The visible eye on the body then shot open, staring at them. This surprised the children, causing them to scream. Their mother, upon hearing the screaming, quickly looked up to see the icy figure rising before her children. She grabbed a nearby knife and ran out to protect her children.

The man tried to stand but collapsed to his knees. His took a long, quivering breath before spitting a large amount of water out of his lungs. The water was thick, as if mixed with cornstarch. After the water was out, the man stood again and looked to the children cowering in fear, then to his surroundings. He tried to ask where he was, but it only came across as mumbles and groans, due to his frozen mouth. The children screamed and ran towards their house. The man took a stiff step forward, and then another. A woman ran towards the man, knife in hand. She stopped in front of him, realizing he was much bigger than her. As the man took another step, the woman stabbed at him with the knife. But, to her surprise, the man brought his hand up, allowing the blade to go through the middle of it. His hand then fell back to his side, ripping the knife out of the woman's hand.

The man then turned and began to waddle away, making good distance before stumbling to his knees. The man felt his head grow heavy and his eyes rolled into the back of his head as he fell to the snow.
