SPENCER'S P.O.V
When my phone starts ringing, I roll over and grab it off the bedside table.
"Hello"
"Hi..."
"Ash?"
"Have you forgotten me already?"
"No I just wasn't expecting you to call"
"Like I wouldn't call, you have me so whipped"
I'm whipped as well.
She's all I think about.
"So how's the other side of the world going?"
"It's okay"
"Spencer that wasn't very convincing"
"Sorry I'm half asleep"
"Are you okay?"
"Yer, how are you?"
"I'm okay"
That's good.
"Spence do you want to talk about it?"
For someone who's just met me, she knows me really well.
"No I want to talk about you"
"Spencer?"
When she says that I force a laugh.
"Ash I'm honestly okay, I'm just really tired, so everything seems a lot worse than it is"
"I've got two hours to kill Spence"
"What's in two hours?"
"We're off to the airport"
"Is it that time already?"
"Yep I'm so bored, I just want to go home and drive my car and see you"
When she says that I smile.
"So how did everything go with your family?"
"Aaahhh"
Where do I even start?
"That good huh?"
"It wasn't bad, mum and dad are okay with everything, they obviously don't condone the whole cheating thing, but they're okay with me being gay"
"Spence that's good..."
"Yer"
"Spence why aren't you happy?"
I am happy.
"Glen was being a dick and now mum's organised this stupid BBQ on Saturday and Matt's whole family's coming"
"So Matt's obviously going to be there as well?"
"Yer his family and my family do everything together, so when something like a BBQ's organised, their attendance is guaranteed"
"Ohhh, so what are you going to do?"
"I don't really have much of a choice..."
"Just skip it?"
"I can't, the BBQ's for me..."
"Wait your family's organised a BBQ for you and they've invited your ex?"
When she says that I can't help but laugh.
It must sound so weird to her.
"Ash it's just how our families are"
"Okay that must suck"
It really does.
"So what's the BBQ in honour of?"
"Our birthday..."
"It's your birthday?"
Birthdays aren't something we've discussed.
"Spence how have you not told me this?"
"There's lots you don't know about me Ash"
I'm learning more and more about her every day.
"Do you want me go out and buy some sexy outfits?"
That's hilarious.
"Spence I could dress up as a sexy nurse, a super hero or a naughty teacher?"
"Or you could just be you?"
"That's boring"
"Not to me, I'm not into all of those crazy fantasies"
"What are you into?"
"Ashley we're not having this chat..."
"On the phone?"
"Anywhere until I'm really intoxicated"
"Note to Ashley, get Spencer very wasted and ask her a whole bunch of kinky stuff"
I just snorted.
"Ash can you please hurry up and get back to LA?"
"Awww Spence are you missing me?"
"No I'm missing what you do to me"
"Do you want to have phone sex?"
She just said that really fast.
"No"
"Spence I'm really good at it"
"I don't doubt that for a second"
She's good at a lot of things.
"Spence I'm only joking I've never been interested in the whole phone sex thing"
"Good and I'm not into the whole dress up thing"
"I will remember that"
She's perfect.
"So are you sure everything's okay?"
"Yer Ash I'm just tired so everything seems like a bigger deal than it is"
"Okay well I'll hang up so you can get back to sleep"
"I didn't say that so you'd hang up"
I want to talk to her.
"I know, but Kyla won't shut up about me packing, so I should probably do it before we miss our flight back home"
"When do you land in LA?"
"Friday morning"
"What are your plans?"
I'm really hoping that she says she wants to meet up.
"You"
I have the biggest smile on my face.
"Spence I'll message you when I land and we can sort something out"
"That's a brilliant plan"
I can't wait 'til she gets back.
"Alright well I should probably go"
"Alright..."
"See ya"
"Bye"
When she hangs up I lean back into the pillow.
Why can't she just come back already?
