Slytherin – Fanatic 911: Howdy Y'all! I'm so sorry for my lack of updating but I am here now! I will not delay in giving you the chapter though. Frizzle!
Frizzle: Yes! Disclaimer: Slytherin – Fanatic 911 does not own D N Angel but she does own her own character Sayuri (Satoshi-kun's twin sister). Now… ON WITH THE STORY!
Daisuke sat across from Riku, his head resting in his hand. His finger circled around the rim of his half-empty glass, unaware that Riku was staring hard at him. After getting changed from the beach that morning, he had gone down to lunch. Instead of digging straight into the food and talking with Riku, Risa and Takeshi though, he had eaten his sandwich in silence.
(I wish you would stop moping about because of him,) Dark said. (I know I've said that you're in love with him, but I didn't think that meant so much angst if one little thing went wrong.)
(It isn't just one little thing though,) Daisuke replied.
(It is! If you just apologised everything would be fine.)
(And what exactly would I say in this 'apology'?)
(Well you could say, 'Sorry I said what I did about Hiwatari-san and I'm really not just friends with you guys out of pity' for starters. Like you were going to. But then chickened out.')
(I didn't chicken out.)
(Yes you did. If you had apologised straight up, you wouldn't be in this angsty mess and you and Creepy Boy would be smooching already.)
"Smooching!" Daisuke said, his face flushing red. "Why would I be smooching Hiwa-?"
Daisuke stopped as he realised that he was talking out loud. He firmly shut his mouth, turning red at the same time. Riku narrowed her eyes at him but he refused to make eye contact.
(I wouldn't be smooching Hiwatari-kun. I-I don't even like him like that…)
(Well, you sound less sure about that than you were this morning.)
(Well, I don't like him. End of discussion.)
Daisuke took a small bite of his sandwich. He looked up to where Satoshi and Sayuri would normally be sitting, but their seats were empty. He wouldn't be surprised if they weren't at lunch to avoid him. Maybe Dark was right. He hated not being on friendly terms with Satoshi. The blunette had a point though. What he had said to Miyamoto and Takeshi was mean, and not at all what he really thought. The only way to get out this mess was to apologise.
"What are you going to do in the afternoon, Niwa-kun?" Risa asked. "Riku and I were going to do some sunbathing at the beach."
"I need to apologise," Daisuke said, staring at his plate. "To Hiwatari-kun and Hiwatari-san."
"What for?" Riku said, taking a sip of her drink.
"I said some mean things a few days ago. That hurt their feelings and I need to apologise."
"They probably deserved it, just leave it. Come down to the beach with us," Riku said. She smiled and continued, "You'll get to see me in a bikini."
Daisuke knew that Riku wasn't the most tactful person at times but that was downright rude. Even if he wasn't friends with Satoshi, he still needed to apologise. He was honestly surprised at what she said. Had she always been so hostile? Or was she just feeling threatened because of Sayuri?
"Riku-san, that's not nice."
"I don't care. Hiwatari's creepy and his sister's a needy bitch."
Daisuke didn't know what came over him but the next thing he knew, he had pulled Riku out of her chair and slapped her.
"Take that back," he said.
"You hit me!"
"Hiwatari-kun is not creepy and all you've done since we arrived on this trip is complain about Hiwatari-san. They're my friends."
"How? How could anyone be friends with them? Hiwatari just sits in the back of the classroom writing in that stupid notebook of his. He's always staring at you as well. Why? He must have some creepy obsession with you."
"He doesn't. You don't understand anything."
"I don't want to understand anything about him. I don't even know why you're defending him. I'm your girlfriend, you should side with me."
"I can't defend my friend?"
"Not him."
"Well if it's a choice between him and you, I pick Hiwatari-kun."
Riku looked taken aback. Her jaw dropped and it took a moment for her to say, "Wh-what are you saying?"
Daisuke took a deep breath. He hadn't meant for their argument to escalate like it had, especially in front of their whole class. However, now that he was facing things straight up, he knew exactly what choice he was making.
"I'm breaking up with you."
Before Riku could say anything else, Daisuke left the hall. He waited for Dark to comment on the whole situation but there was only silence.

Once Takeshi entered the room, he shut the door behind him. Daisuke had already walked over to his bed and collapsed on it. He had been Daisuke's friend since childhood and as such, he knew his friend very well. He felt that it wouldn't be lying to say that he knew his friend well enough to know exactly what he would do in certain situations. For example, if Riku wanted to break up with him, Daisuke would protest and do some stupid gesture to show that they could work things out. Which of course raised the question of what the fuck just happened.
Takeshi sat down on his bed and stared at the wall opposite him. He glanced over to Daisuke and pursed his lips.
"So, when we were talking this morning about you liking Hiwatari-chan… You do realise that I was just kidding, right? I didn't really think that your relationship with Riku was that bad."
Daisuke sighed. "I know. And I really thought we were fine. Right up until she said those things about Hiwatari-kun."
"Look, I'll be the first to admit that she was in the wrong. Those twins may appear creepy but they're not bad. But was that really something to break up over?"
Daisuke remained silent for a few moments. After a bit he said, "I think… we haven't been alright for a while. Even before this trip. I was just so comfortable with her that I didn't want to give it up."
"Are gonna be alright though? And what are you gonna say to the Hiwataris?"
"I'll probably be fine. And the first thing I have to say to them is, 'sorry'."
Takeshi nodded. He had a strange feeling that Satoshi would easily be willing to forgive Daisuke. Sayuri would likely follow her brother's lead. Hopefully by the time they got back to Azumano in a couple days everything would be back to normal between the two. Takeshi was eager to get rid of the angst-fest that was currently being served up.
At that moment, Daisuke sat up with a gasp. He looked around the room in shock before standing up.
"Is everything alright?" Takeshi asked.
"Fi-fine," Daisuke said with a forced smile. "I-I better go and find Cre-Hiwatari and apologise to him. Right now."
"Okaaay…"
Takeshi watched with a frown as Daisuke quickly walked out of the room.
Right. So first Daisuke breaks up with the supposed 'love of his life' and now he's acting weirder than usual. Maybe the break up affected him more than he thought…

Krad sat on Satoshi's bed with his legs crossed and glared at the wall. About half an hour ago something had happened and he had gained control of Satoshi's body. Both he and Sayuri had been confused especially since he couldn't contact the blunette at all. It had never happened before so they decided that research was necessary. So Sayuri had gone downstairs to find a computer and see if she could find anything out via the internet. He doubted that there was any way that a Google search could help but it was better than nothing.
Krad closed his eyes and tried to transform into his body. He felt a familiar swooping sensation but it stopped suddenly. He'd already tried this several times but to no avail. It had to be Kokuyoku's fault. That damn artwork had been interfering lately and he wanted to know why. Was it really because that Niwa boy had found his so called 'Sacred Maiden'?
Krad sighed and stood up. He looked down to Satoshi's body and his frown deepened. It wasn't that he hated the blunette's body. Not at all. He just much preferred his own lean body. He missed his long hair and the familiar weight of his cross at the end of it. Being stuck in such a small body was infuriating.
Krad's thoughts were interrupted when he heard a knock on the door. He assumed that it was Sayuri coming back with no answers. That's why he was so surprised to see the Niwa boy entering the room. The boy closed the door behind him and walked up to Krad with a frown on his face.
"Krad," Niwa said.
Krad raised an eyebrow and replied, "Indeed. I assume you are in the position as myself, Mousy."
"Please tell me you know what the fuck is going on."
Krad sat down on the bed behind him and crossed his legs. "No."
"No? You have to have at least a fucking theory," Dark said, crossing his arms.
"Hmph, it might have something to do with Kokuyoku but other than that I'm at a loss."
"What does that piece of shit want now?"
Krad stared at Dark. If he had to take a radical guess then there was probably only one reason why Kokuyoku was starting to act up.
"I think you know. That Niwa boy… He's found his 'Sacred Maiden', yes? Perhaps the artwork is trying to reclaim us."
The Niwa boy's eyes went wide. "Reclaim us? That doesn't make any sense."
"How? That boy is happy with that brunette girl, who accepts him."
"No, because Daisuke hasn't found his Sacred Maiden. The opposite actually."
"What do you mean?"
"He and Riku Harada broke up about a half an hour ago."
Krad's eyes widened. They broke up? From what he had heard from Satoshi, those two weren't in any position to be breaking up. In fact it was the blunette's theory that Kokuyoku had been interfering because of the pair's relationship. What could it mean that Kokuyoku was still causing trouble and yet the two had broken up?
No… The two had to be related. Kokuyoku did this because Niwa and the girl had broken up. Yet if Kokuyoku was trying to reclaim then, the only solution had to be that Niwa had found his 'Sacred Maiden'. But…
Krad's mouth twitched upwards. So that's how it was. If he got to speak to Satoshi before he was sealed again within Kokuyoku then he would have to congratulate him. None of the previous Hikaris' had found such happiness. And for it to happen to the one tamer he had gotten closest with…
"What are you thinking?" Dark said, sitting beside Krad.
Krad moved away slightly. "If you speak to the boy again, tell him that it's about time he got his act together."
"Act together? What are you talking about?"
"The boy's realised his feelings for Satoshi-sama. And since Satoshi-sama feels the same way and even accepts you, there's only thing to do now."
Dark's face went from a confused frown to shock as he pieced together Krad's meaning.
"I was only joking when I said that he liked Creepy Boy. I didn't really think-"
"Of course you didn't," Krad said. He looked away and said, "How could a Niwa and a Hikari ever be happy together? We're enemies for all eternity."
Dark bit his bottom lip. He opened his mouth to reply but closed it again.
Silence feel between the two. Krad continued to glare at the floor and didn't look away even when he felt Dark moving towards him. He felt a hand against his back and a warm breath on his ear.
"If Daisuke and Creepy can then why not…?"
Slytherin – Fanatic 911: Yup, really no excuses as to why this chapter took like three years to write except laziness. Better explanation at my Deviant Art page here: journal/General-Updates-416024037 (remove the spaces and replace 'dot' with '.').
Sorry for the slight cliff hanger. I'll try to get the next chapter out soon, but in case it takes a while, Krad and Dark ain't getting together just yet.
Also, just for those of you went through reread this fic, I edited/rewrote some scenes in the previous chapters just because I felt they needed it. Trust me, it was for the best.
Please leave a review telling me what you think of the new chapter and whether or not you hate me for taking ages with this chapter.
In the meantime, see you next chapter!
Ja Bye Bye Ne
