Slytherin – Fanatic 911: Howdy Y'all! Sorry for the cliffhanger I left you on last time. If you read the note at the end of the last chapter then you might have an idea as to what happens next. Anyway, I won't say much else!

Frizzle: I guess it's time to get on with the chapter then? Disclaimer: Slytherin – Fanatic 911 does own D N Anel but she does own her own character, Sayuri (Satoshi-kun's twin sister). Now… ON WITH THE CHAPTER!

The first thing Daisuke knew was that his hand was on Satoshi's back and he was leaning into him. They were close. Like, Daisuke could smell Satoshi close. He flushed and pulled back. The heat of Satoshi's back remained on his hand for a few more seconds, though.

Daisuke looked at Satoshi and saw that he was still in the same position but a pink blush was slowly creeping up his face.

"Hi-Hiwatari-kun," Daisuke said. He wanted to touch Satoshi again. "Wh-what happened?"

Satoshi looked away from Daisuke, his ears red. "Must've been something to do with Kokuyoku. Can you still feel Dark?"

Daisuke closed his eyes. "Yes. He won't say anything to me, though."

Satoshi didn't respond.

Daisuke let out a sigh. The last thing he remembered was talking to Takeshi then… nothing. It must've been the work of Kokuyoku. But why? He had broken up with Riku. He was no closer to finding his Sacred Maiden then when he first got Dark. Was Kokuyoku trying to tell him something about his Sacred Maiden? What though?

Daisuke frowned and crossed his arms. It would be nice if he had some clear answers. He couldn't figure out why Kokuyoku would want him to break up with Riku, especially since she was the closest thing he had to a Sacred Maiden. Unless his Sacred Maiden was someone else.

Before anything else, though, Daisuke had a good opportunity right now. He needed to take advantage of it.

"Hiwatari-kun," Daisuke said, looking at Satoshi once more. "Please look at me, I need to tell you something."

It took Satoshi a few moments to finally look at Daisuke but when he did, his face was bright red.

"You broke up with Harada," Satoshi said. "Krad told me."

Daisuke felt his face heat up. "Yeah. It was kinda on a whim. That's not what I wanted to tell you, though."

"What then?"

Daisuke took a deep breath then said, while bowing slightly, "I'm deeply sorry for my actions. I should have apologised before but I was scared. What I said about Hiwatari-san and you, and why I'm friends with you, was completely false. I only said that to get Saehara and Miyamoto off my back."

There was silence for a moment as Satoshi processed what Daisuke said. Daisuke couldn't help but turn as red as his hair. His heart was beating loudly in his chest and his mouth was dry. He wanted, wanted, Satoshi to believe him, to forgive him. It was a long shot, though. He hadn't been the best of friends of late.

"Why… why should I believe you?" Satoshi asked, looking away once more.

He couldn't think of a single reason why Satoshi should believe him.

Daisuke stared at Satoshi. From his blue hair and eyes to his pale skin, he was beautiful. Suddenly Daisuke could feel his heart beat for an entirely different reason. He felt a familiar swooping sensation but forcibly rejected the transformation.

Oh. Oh.

"That makes sense," Daisuke muttered with a pout.

Satoshi frowned. "What are you-?"

Daisuke cut him off, though. He pressed his lips against Satoshi's but pulled away soon after.

"I think I like you," Daisuke said.

"I… I…"

Daisuke swallowed and stood up. "You... don't need to answer right now, or at all."

Daisuke then turned and walked out of the room.

"I can't believe he broke up with me!" Riku said. She let out a huff as she sat down on her bed and crossed her arms. "Me! And he hit me as well."

Risa resisted sighing. She sat down next to her sister and rested a hand on her arm.

"He shouldn't have hit you," she said, "but you were being rather mean to Hiwatari-chan and Hiwatari-kun."

If Risa was honest, she saw that break-up a mile away. Her sister's behaviour over the past few days towards the Hiwataris' had been mean. She honestly didn't know what came over her. It didn't matter if Daisuke had been fighting with Satoshi, Riku should never have been so mean to him and his sister. It had only served to segregate herself from Daisuke.

At the start of the trip Daisuke and Riku were fine overall but even then Risa could tell that Daisuke was probably starting to waver in regards to his feelings towards her. Riku's attitude had probably pushed him over the edge. If she had tried to be nicer towards Sayuri and Satoshi, they wouldn't have broken up.

But Risa couldn't say any of this out loud. Trying to reason with Riku when she was mad was pretty much pointless. Hopefully allowing her to vent her frustrations would help calm her down enough so that there wouldn't be a scene that night during the planned activities.

"I wasn't being mean," Riku said, frowning at the wall. "I wasn't. Maybe I wasn't as nice as I could have been but who cares. Niwa-kun broke up with me."

Risa saw tears fill Riku's eyes.

"I thought we were perfect," Riku muttered. "I thought he loved me and that everything was fine. How did it turn out like this?"

Risa embraced her sister. "I-I don't know exactly. I don't like seeing you so unhappy, though."

"I want him back," Riku said, clinging to Risa. "I want him to say that he's sorry."

"You can't just get him to say he's sorry. And maybe you shouldn't win him back."

Riku pulled back with a watery glare. "But I love him."

"You two have your whole life ahead of you. You'll have plenty of other opportunities to fall in love. I don't think you should get so hung up over one guy."

"What about you and that Dark guy? You love him, don't you?"

Risa flushed. Well, she may be a bit hypocritical but she did believe that Riku shouldn't go chasing after Daisuke.

"You don't want to seem needy and clingy, do you?" Risa asked. "If Niwa-kun ever wants you back then it's his decision. All you can do now is to be the bigger person."

Riku looked down to her lap. "So, I let him come to me."

Risa frowned for a moment but she forced a smile and said, "Something like that."

Riku wiped her eyes. "I still ha-hate him, but I can try that out."

Risa embraced Riku again. At the very least it was a start and would prevent more drama between the two for the rest of the trip. Hopefully.

When Daisuke got back to his room, Takeshi wasn't there. He let out a sigh of relief. He didn't think he could deal with his friend's intrusive nature on top of everything else. He collapsed onto his bed and groaned.

He liked Satoshi? He had feelings for Satoshi? Was that really true? All this time he had been saying over and over and over again that Satoshi was just a friend then he goes back on it all and kisses the damn boy. Why was Dark right? Why was he right?

Daisuke paused for a moment. He expected Dark to start gloating or something but there was just silence.

"At least say something," Daisuke muttered.

(Are you sure?) Dark said, at length.

Was he? Not even an hour ago he had been claiming the opposite. Everything had been turned on its head so suddenly. It had all happened too fast. Even if Daisuke was 100% sure of his feelings, there was no way that Satoshi would believe him. That… hurt. It was reasonable, but he still couldn't stand the thought of Satoshi rejecting him like that.

Daisuke pouted and frowned deeply. The one thing he knew for absolute sure was that he cared for Satoshi. He knew those feelings were romantic but he didn't know how far they went. He also didn't know how he felt for Riku anymore. Not the same as the start of the trip but up until an hour ago, she was his girlfriend.

(I can't face Hiwatari-kun like this,) Daisuke thought. (And I can't take back what I said, either. The next time I see him, I have to be sure about how I feel towards him and Riku-san.)

There was silence but he could feel Dark's agreement.

After a five minute silence, Dark said, (We should start planning for the heist tomorrow night.)

That's right… He had completely forgotten about that damn sculpture he was meant to steal. The stupid thing was displayed in the hall where the dance was going to be. The major problem he was going to be facing was how to take it. Hundreds of eyes were going to be on him. And then there was Satoshi to consider as well. Daisuke would've almost preferred their usual setting, Krad included.

(We just have to cause a distraction,) Dark said.

(Like what? Put me in a dress so I can do a hula dance?)

Dark laughed. (Not quite what I was thinking but we shouldn't dismiss that idea just yet. Since Emiko's already sent out the Warning Notice we just have to plan around that. I mean, our only real threat will be your classmates and Creepy.)

Daisuke let out a huff. (You make it sound so easy.)

(Because it is. Don't worry a pretty little hair on your head. There's no way anything can go wrong tomorrow.)

Daisuke couldn't deny what Dark was saying. It wouldn't be as easy as he was saying it would be, but it wasn't anything like the challenge the two usually faced. His classmates probably would be easy to deal with, they just had to keep an eye out for Satoshi and Krad.

-D N Angel-

Even a half an hour after Daisuke had left the room, Satoshi was still sitting on the edge of the bed. Krad had already tried multiple times to try and get him to move but all he could focus on was the memory of how soft Daisuke's lips had been against his.

With everything Daisuke said and how earnest he seemed, Satoshi was hard-pressed to find a reason not to forgive him. If he was also willing to apologise to Sayuri as well then everything was settled.

But… could he allow himself to open up to Daisuke in the way a relationship would force him to? He'd long since accepted his feelings for the redhead but that didn't mean anything in the face of a relationship. Then there was also the fact that Daisuke had only just broken up with Riku, as in, only a couple hours ago. How could he be so sure that he liked Satoshi when he was in a relationship not long ago?

He wanted so much to believe in what Daisuke said but every part of his brain was arguing against that. It didn't help that Krad had kept his opinion on the whole thing to himself. He needed to know what to do and the silence from the angel wasn't helping.

The door to the room opened at that point and Satoshi finally forced himself to look away from the wall and to Sayuri, who had just walked inside. She smiled when she saw him and walked over to sit next to him on the bed.

"Satoshi… is that you?" she asked.

Satoshi swallowed and nodded.

Sayuri let out a sigh of relief. "Thank god. When Krad took over your body I was so worried. I tried to google our situation but nothing helped. I-I'm not as knowledgeable as you are when it comes to stuff to do with the Hikari family."

"Don't worry about it, it's just Kokuyoku acting up," Satoshi replied.

"Kokuyoku? So this had something to do with Dark and Niwa-kun as well? I overheard some girls downstairs talking about how Niwa-kun apparently dumped Harada-san at lunch. Is that true? Does it have anything to do with what happened just now?"

"Krad thinks so. He thinks maybe Kokuyoku is getting pushier because Niwa-kun is so close to finding his Sacred Maiden."

"But he just broke up with Harada-san, how could Kokuyoku think-?"

Sayuri gasped and covered her mouth. Satoshi felt his face turning a bright red.

"Seriously?" Sayuri said. "Are you sure?"

"He kissed me and said he thinks he likes me. I-I don't know what to think."

Sayuri bit her lip and there was a brief silence before Satoshi felt her arms around him.

"I know how you feel about him," she said, "so if you want to get together with him, then I'll support you. But if you don't, then I'll still support you."

Satoshi smiled. "Thanks. I need some more time to think this all over, though."

Sayuri pulled away and stood up. "Of course. In the meantime, I'm going to do some more research about the whole situation. I don't know if it will help but at least it's something."

Satoshi nodded and watched Sayuri leave the room.

(Satoshi-sama,) Krad said once they were alone. (I know it may seem hasty but… given the Niwa boy's character, there's no reason why you should doubt his feelings.)

(Do you really think so?)

(I want at least one of us to be happy.)

Satoshi wanted to press Krad more on what he meant but there was only silence from the blonde. It all must have something to do with how Daisuke and he found themselves just before. Maybe… Daisuke and he weren't the only idiots.

Slytherin – Fanatic 911: Oof, I am so sorry about how long it took for this chapter to get written. I've had about 90% done for a while it was just the last scene I was procrastinating on. By some miracle, I actually felt like writing some D N Angel on Christmas Eve so that's how that scene got done.

Just so you all know, I've finally gotten a solid plan for this fic down and it's looking to be about 12 or 13 chapters long, epilogue included. I want to get it finished ASAP but just like Junai Angels it depends on my laziness. Best case scenario, I get JA & NV2 finished in 2017 but who knows.

Please review with what you thought of the chapter. You really don't know how much I appreciate receiving any type of feedback.

For now, have a Happy New Year and I'll see you in the next chapter!

Ja Bye Bye Ne
