The metal door was just in plain sight. He could see the dark shadows of feet walking across under the door. However it would be too simple if they could walk out the door just like that.

The room is spacious enough for a holding cell. Two cots take up a space on either side of the room and a locked wooden cabinet takes up part of the right wall. A single fluorescent light hangs from the ceiling.

The albino and the new kid both blinked as the heavy metal door swung open with ease. A man in a lab coat appeared. He had raven black hair and piercing green eyes. A face masked covered the lower portion of his face and a pair of thin-rimmed black glasses framed his face. One of his hands was hidden behind one of the pockets of his lab coat while the visible hand held a clipboard.

The man stepped into the room with a straight face and walked over to where the two boys were seated. He squinted slightly at the tiny words written in the clipboard. An eyebrow raised slightly in surprise. 'Sawada? Isn't that the…. Oh, no wonder….'

"Sawada Tsunayoshi," the man addressed out loud. "You are to come with me. Gesso," he turned to face the boy. "There will be someone here in a short while to escort you to wherever you need be." The brunet stared at him warily for a good minute before slowly nodding, standing up from his position on the floor and following as the man exited and swung the door shut behind him again.

They walked down a series of corridors with some doors every few meters. After a while of navigating through the maze-like halls, they came upon an old-looking door. The man twisted the knob and swung it open carelessly.

"I've brought him," he said to the occupants of the room, all of which were also in white lab coats. The men paid him little to no heed. One of them nodded slightly and pointed at a curtained space near the wall. The man urged the boy towards the curtain. Once there he threw it open to reveal another room within what Tsuna first thought was the wall.

The hidden room was smaller than the first room but was obviously just as well-used. One of them waved the pair over to where a machine stood near his feet. The man turned to face him.

"Now, we are just going to check you for any possible diseases that you may unknowingly carry in your body so as not to endanger other people here. To do that, we need you to step into this machine while in a state of sleep to ensure your own safety." The brunet simply continued staring, somehow at both him and the machine at the same time.

The man pressed a few buttons on a control panel, and the inside of the machine slid out revealing a white thing attached to some metals that Tsuna couldn't make heads or tails of.

"Just step on here," said the man as he gestured at the thing. The boy complied albeit hesitantly. Once he had successfully gotten on the thing, one of the men handed him a small round pill which according to the man would put him to sleep for a few hours which would most likely be how long it would take for them to finish examining.

The boy stared at the pill for a while, trying to decide whether he should take it and whether or not it was poisonous, before putting it in his mouth slowly and swallowing. His eyes rolled back, and he slumped down, unconscious. The men strapped him on properly and rolled it back in the machine. The man controlling the machine flicked a few switches and it whirred to life.

"So you are erasing them after all?" the man who had fetched the boy asked as he leaned his back against the wall.

"Of course," a new voice spoke. The curtains parted to reveal another man with black hair and some streaks of red from the tips. "If you don't erase them, then he could contact them and we'd be in trouble!"

"You always get jobs that require memory wiping afterwards. Isn't it tiring?" the man operating the machine complained.

"That's your misfortune, not mine." The man shrugged as he walked back out.

"Damn this cocky guy…"

It had taken a couple of days for Alaude to ride a ferry from Italy back to Sicily to pass the actual report rather than the phone call he'd had with his boss after finishing the investigation. Needless to say it had Giotto on edge. The only thing Alaude reported was the death of the couple, nothing more.

Where was the child then? Surely Alaude would have found him had he taken shelter at a neighbor's house and if he'd run into the forest, the cloud guardian would have found tracks.

The servants bowed respectfully as he passed by. He was about to turn down a corner when a head of annoyingly familiar red hair popped out of nowhere.

"Alaude!" G exclaimed. "Where have you been? Your mission report was due a week ago!" the red-haired guardian pointed at him accusingly to which the cloud guardian replied with a dry look.

"Why not ask your leader?" the man suggested blandly. "I was not the one who wanted to get another mission in Florence right after finishing one in Rome." When G didn't reply, Alaude simply walked past him.

Once he arrived at Giotto's office, he pushed the door open just in time to see a piece of cake in his mouth. Alaude marched over to his desk, slammed down the file and scattering some papers, and promptly turned on his heel and left.

Giotto sighed. He should have expected his cloud guardian any minute but…. He needed a sweet snack! And the cake was conveniently the only sweet thing in the cooler in his office. He didn't want the salty biscuits; he needed some sugar for his brain to work and to keep him awake.

He replaced his fork on the plate and gingerly picked up the folder and shook out the contents, arranging them neatly on his desk before picking up the first report.

April XX: COMPLETED MISSION

Successfully stopped Englishman from… read the first few words. Giotto placed the report back down and took the next one. Not that he wasn't interested in how Alaude had done on his actual mission (but he wouldn't fail anyway) but he deemed that reports could wait while he looked over the investigations Alaude had done at the last minute upon his request.

The second paper was a continuation of the first.

Damage report / Bill:

'I'm not even going to read this,' he thought. The blonde then reached for yet another paper all the while fervently hoping that the third time would be the charm. His wish was granted when 'The Sawada Family Incident' showed itself on the page in clear black print. The boss mentally cheered at his success but turned somber again when he started reading.

It was implied clearly in the words written that the Sawada couple did not survive the fire that had mysteriously started at the residence. However…

Child Sawada Tsunayoshi—son of Sawada Iemitsu and Sawada Nana found missing. No trace leading to whereabouts. Last seen by neighbors 4 hours before incident.

Where had the child gone?

Hi guys! School just started for me last week and I am already swamped with 2 reports due next week, 3 quizzes on Monday and lots of homework(btw anyone know how to get the v asymptote, h asymptote, x intercept and y intercept of a rational function?).

Anyways as you can see I'm trying to increase my word count…. I dunno if I'm making any progress on it but if you guys see something that should be corrected please do tell! Also, I don't know how to write a report so it is just based off what I THINK should be written there so please ignore the random strips.
