"Want to join us for dinner, Commander?"

Braithlyn Anne Shepard looks up from her desk, filing away her day's report. Kaidan Alenko stops the door from closing on him. "Be right with you," she says after a shrug that stretches shoulders and neck, and with a nod to the shy lieutenant, who has stepped out of his comfort zone to intrude on her cabin space, "…Just need to sign out…"

She stands from her desk. Pushing the chair back with a small rattle and squeak, she turns off her terminal.

Out through the doors, they enter the Mess.

Kaidan offers her a seat at the table with three others of the Normandy crew.

Kaidan, Karin, Richard, Jeffrey…"Nobody minds eating with me?" she asks as she sits.

Karin chuckles into her wrist, spectacles hanging out of her fingertips. "You only scare the rest of the crew, Shepard…We're not afraid…We accept you."
