ASHLEY'S P.O.V
"Thank you for coming"
When she says that I turn so I'm facing her.
"You don't need to thank me Spence.."
"Ash you only landed this morning, you must be exhausted?"
"I'm okay"
I like being with her.
I like having her around.
"So when will I get to see you tomorrow?"
"Ash I was kind of hoping we could keep seeing each other tonight"
I really like that plan.
"Do you want to head back to mine?"
"Yer or you could stay here?"
I wasn't expecting that.
"Would your parents be okay with that?"
"Yer Matt used to stay over all the time"
I don't want to hear about that.
"Sorry can I take that back?"
"Spence it's fine"
When she leans across, I quickly start moving my lips over hers.
"Calm down ladies..."
Of course her mum had to walk back in now.
"I don't want to see that"
When she says that we both start laughing.
"Mum how much wine have you had?"
"Ashley please ignore her, I don't have a drinking problem, she just likes to say I do"
Spencer has her hand resting on the inside of my leg and it's driving me crazy.
"MUM?"
"LOUNGE ROOM"
This should be interesting.
I've never met her brother, but there's a guy yelling out mum and I'm guessing it's him.
"MADDY'S STAYING..."
When he notices me he stops talking.
"Sorry I didn't mean to interupt"
"Glen you're not interupting"
I don't know much about her brother.
I know they had words when she got back, but we haven't spoken about him since.
"Hi I'm Glen"
When he walks over to where we're sitting I stand.
"Ashley"
He's shaking my hand.
So far, so good.
"This is my girlfriend Maddy"
"Hey"
"Hi"
When I sit back down I look over at Spencer.
"Glen where have you been?"
Spencer's gone really quiet.
"The beach"
"It's eight thirty?"
"We went to the diner after"
"Just the two of you?"
"No we were with..."
He's staring at me again.
"You were with?"
"Nick, Ellie and Matt"
"Did you invite Nick and Ellie to the BBQ?"
Paula didn't skip a beat when he mentioned Matt.
"No, should I have?"
"Yer the more the merrier"
This whole situation's incredibly awkward now he's here.
"Mum we're going to call it a night"
"Okay"
When she hops up I move so I'm standing next to her.
"Sweetie are you staying or going?"
"We're going to stay"
I'm actually really tired.
So I'm pretty happy that we're crashing here.
"Ashley you're more than welcome at the BBQ tomorrow"
"Paula I'd love to come, but I really don't think me being there's a good idea"
When I look over at Glen his face is blank.
"Okay well the offer's there if you change your mind"
"Thanks"
"Night..."
"Night"
"It was nice meeting you Paula"
"You too sweetie"
Spencer's dragging me out of the room.
"Woah, woah, woah"
When we get to the bottom of the stairs I stop her.
"Is everything okay with you and your brother?"
"Yer"
"Spencer?"
"Ash it's fine, there was just that little incident when I got back and I've barely seen him since"
I reach out, slowly brushing my fingers through her hair.
"Which way is your room?"
When I say that she wraps her fingers around mine and leads me upstairs.
"This is me"
"This is definitely you..."
The room's not girly and there's trophies everywhere.
"This room has Spencer written all over it"
When I move so i'm sitting on the edge of the bed, she smiles.
"Sweatpants or shorts?"
I vote we sleep naked.
"Surprise me"
When I say that she tosses a pair of sweatpants at me.
"Westwood Warriors?"
"That was our school name..."
"Spence how popular were you at school?"
When I say that she raises her eyebrows.
"How popular were you?"
When she says that I start laughing.
"Spencer quickly get changed, so I can touch you inappropriately while we talk about this"
I can't help myself.
"Ashley you're out of control"
When she tries to walk past me I grab hold of her arm.
"Okay I have a normal question..."
"Your last question was fine"
"I know and I plan on getting back to it"
I love her smile.
"Spence you need to talk to me about Glen"
"No I don't"
"Spence?"
"Ash, there's better things we could be doing"
"We'll get to them as well"
When I wink at her she shakes her head.
"How close are you guys?"
"At the moment?"
"No before you met me?"
"We were pretty close"
"If you had of had the chance to come out, who would you have told first?"
"I dunno..."
I reach out slowly brushing my fingers through her hair.
"Probably Glen"
"You need to talk to him Spence"
"Ash he's best friends with Matt he's not going to understand"
"You're his sister and when he realises that what we had wasn't just a fling, he'll come round..."
"Sorry to interupt, can I..."
"Glen how long have you been standing there?"
"Spencer we need to talk"
When he says that I move so I'm standing.
"I'm going to go find the bathroom"
I don't know where it is, but I'm going.
"It's down the hall on the right"
