Teen Titans human world version Bestboy x Raven
The whispers in the halls were starting to make me anxious, even though I knew they weren't about me. Instead, they were of Terra. Let's just say, she was an old friend and will be missed. She's not dead or anything, but her social life might be. Everyone's friend is Gar. His full name is Garfield, but he doesn't like being called his full name much. Everyone calls him Beast Boy, since he goes beast on the football field. You'd think a guy with bright green hair, and a thinner figure would definitely not be amazing at football and would definitely be bullied, but he's the star player and everyone loves him. What was I saying? OH! He was on his way to surprise his girlfriend, Terra, when he bumped into Kaldur...at HER house... nude. Yes, I know there's a lot of names. Just keep up. Anyways, Gar, being the good guy that he is, still gave her the roses he bought her, but more as a goodbye gift, and obviously ended their relationship and left. Gar is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. We were friends when we were little up to middle school, but Terra claimed him, whatever that meant back then. I didn't want to feel like a third wheel, and Terra was making me more and more uncomfortable.
Walking by the restrooms, I see a lonely looking Gar walking in. His green hair isn't gelled up like usual, and instead of his regular tee and jeans, he's wearing a hoodie and sweatpants.
"It's weird that everyone knows already. I wonder who spilled the beans?" Richard smirks, while he joins me walking to class. This is Rich, my best friend. He's not that much taller than me, and I'm pretty short. He's an asshole, but he's funny and loyal, so I let him hang around me.
I roll my eyes. "Well, I know you spread it like wildfire, but I'm pretty sure attention whore, Kaldur, told you, knowing you would tell everyone." I'm side eyeing him, looking to see if my theory is correct, and he pouts. I sigh. "They don't even have to pay you. You just enjoy ruining lives." We're close enough to class where we can go around the corner to talk, without worrying about being late.
"Nah, I just don't like Garfield, that's all." I chuckle at Rich calling him by his full name.
"You never told me why." I tell him. He gives me a really? look, and I shrug. He rolls his eyes. "Fine, don't tell me. I'm going to head to the bathroom for girly reasons." I stick my tongue out at him, and he rolls his eyes.
"Make sure not to get blood on your shirt this time." He says with a big grin. I glare at him and walk away. I had walked around a whole day wearing a white shirt with blood on it. It wasn't even mine. It was some bitch who hit the wall too hard...she ticked me off okay? She told anyone she could that I came out of the bathroom with period blood on my shirt.
I'm near the bathrooms now, and coming out of the guys side was Gar. His eyes were red, and while I knew he smoked grass, he never did it at school. The combination of his eyes and the constant booger sniffing I heard from him told me he had definitely been crying. Part of me wants to keep walking to the bathroom, but another one wants to help my old friend. I continue to walk, but in the hallway there's only us, and he seems to have noticed me already.
"Hey, Rae." He half smiles. I really do feel bad. I've had my share of heartbreaks.
"You okay?" Immediately I regret my choice of words. No one wants to hear those words when they hold back tears. I bite my lip, and tears are brimming in the corner of his eyes. I see people begin to walk toward us in the hallway. I dash at him, grab his hand, and drag him to a more secluded area of the school.
Once we are safe, I take a peek at the mess I've started but regret looking. Tears are all over his hands and cheeks.
"Fuck." He cries.
I'm not giving him a hug. We don't know each other well enough anymore.
I sigh. "Gar, what's up with you. You shouldn't be crying over a whore." He bites his lip, as if to hold back tears, but they keep coming.
I think back to when I was cheated on. It felt awful, but I had Rich's shoulder to cry on.
I glance back at Gar, he's slightly covering his face, quietly crying. I take a deep breath and hug him. I can feel him tense up, but he hugs back, shaking a little. We stay like this until the bell rings. I felt bad. The only time I've ever seen him cry was when his dog had died.
"Shit, I'm sorry I've made you late. I-" He starts, but I cut him off before he rambles on for a half hour.
"It's okay." I smile, trying to reassure him. I hope it does, considering I rarely smile for anyone. "I'll be here for you whenever you need a shoulder to cry on." I wave him goodbye and he smiles a little. I turn to head to class, and as I'm walking, I turn to glance at him and see him heading towards an exit. I would honestly skip too.
I walk into class late. Everyone is already looking really uninterested. This is math with the most boring teacher in the world.
"Where's your pass?" Ms. Wilson's scratchy voice asks. I set my bag on my desk.
"I don't have one ma'am." I say as I sit down.
She gives me a glare. "That's your second strike this semester. Don't let it happen again."
I nod, and look at the desk next to mine. Rich is shaking his head. "I didn't know putting in a tampon would take so long." He whispers.
I roll my eyes. The period consisted of Rich and I exchanging notes and doodles while Ms. Wilson taught.
So what took you so long?
What do I even tell him? He doesn't like Gar, and knowing Rich, he would flip a little.
I was listening to gossip. Some dumb bitch was talking too loud.
Rich chuckles softly.
Do tell, Rae
Let's give Terra a bit of karma.
I heard one of Terra's "friends" talking about how Terra could be pregnant, and how it definitely wasn't Gar's because they never did it!
I smirked at my little lie. Rich is going to eat this up. I can't wait to hear about Kaldur's reaction. I glance over at Rich, and he's already typing away. He's probably on Twitter. He goes by Robin there and has everyone added from school. Of course, everyone added him back to be in on the tea.
The bell rings and we all get up to leave. There's a bit of a skip to Rich's step. I kind of feel like this is only the tip of the iceberg. "Thanks, Rae." he smirks.
"No prob." I respond.
We leave class, and the next class is one of the only classes Rich doesn't have with me. At the beginning of the year, he never starts off with mostly the same classes as me. I wonder if he bribes anyone to change his classes to mine. I turned the corner and bumped into someone, interrupting my thoughts. "Oh, uh, Gar! Sorry about that. He looked kind of sweaty, maybe from football?
"Rae, I'm sorry. You okay?"
I nod at him, but he looks behind him, missing his opportunity to see my response. "I'm fine. Are you okay?" He quickly looks back at me.
"I- Terra, she's following me, trying to convince me whatever thing she has in her stomach is mine, but we've never gotten down like that. I've never even seen anything down there." He begins to ramble on about what he's done with her. Regular thing with Gar actually.
I'm nodding my head, looking for a way out. Maybe I could sneak away, and find Rich, who wouldn't even let Gar near me, if it spares me having to hear about Terra's pink ni-
An ear piercing screech is heard coming from the stairs behind us. My head snaps towards the scream, and I see Terra. Her blonde hair looks frayed, and her blue eyes seem mostly covered by large pupils. I swear I got paler. The little color I had left me gone. I did not want to deal with a crazy bitch right now. She begins to stomp over to me, but Gar gets in her way.
"What is with you, Terra?" Gar asks her. Her nostrils get wide.
"You're trying to leave our baby without a father for some emo bitch!" At this point, I hear doors begin to open, and we have become the center of attention. Phones are pointed at us.
"Terra, you slut, we never did anything. You did everything with everyone but me." I begin to stand up. I did not sign up for this. All I did was bump into some abs.
"Who's going to believe that? What proof do you have?" I roll my eyes. "You just want to leave me for that whore behind you!" She's trying to get a good look at me, but Gar won't let her. I push Gar out of the way, and get ready to beat a bitch up.
"Me? I'm the whore?" I'm stepping on her feet, and I can smell her shitty meal that she vomited before coming here. "So that wasn't you in bed with Kaldur? Bitch, why don't you check to see if you got any stds before checking the gender of your fake baby."
Gar gets me off her, before I could even start throwing punches. "Let go." I warn him with a glaring look.
"That's right, get your shitty girlfriend off me." I almost jump at her, she falls back.
"If you try anything, Terra, I won't hold my girlfriend back anymore." Small gasps can be heard. My face flushes. Terra's eyes get glossy, as she gets up and runs off. Everyone slowly gets back to what they were doing, and I grab Gar's arm. We leave the school, and I find a shady spot to talk.
"Are you stupid?" I whisper yell at him. He shrugs.
"What's the big deal? She was being a bitch, and it got her to go away." He says leaning against the tree.
"She's going to try to ruin my life. Do you remember when I got the last salad, and she started to throw rocks at me after school in middle school? WE WERE STILL FRIENDS THEN. IMAGINE NOW." His hand is rubbing the back of his head now.
"It's okay. I've got your back. Besides, you're not dating anyone."
"Y-yeah, but then I really won't be able to date anyone." I say this, but in my head I'm thinking about a livid little Rich. He'll throw one hell of a tantrum later.
Like who? Rich?" He's smirking at me.
"No! What? He's my best friend."
"You guys never leave each other's side. You're in high school, and you're of the opposite gender. There's no way there isn't something between you two."
"Why would I lie?" I raise a brow at him. He's really starting to tick me off. "Look, I don't see any benefits to this fake relationship thing. It's just to help you blow off Terra's tantrums." I start to walk back to school, but he grabs my hand. Not tightly, but desperately.
"Please, I'll give you anything." I turn to look at him. I want to yell at him and yank my hand away, but he's making puppy eyes at me.
I roll my eyes. "Give me your phone, and I'll text you when I need your anything." He quickly shoves his phone at me. I hand him mine, and we exchange numbers.
