*Elsa Pov*
Everything was going as planned, Anna opened presents, sunshine pouring from her face in happiness. People ate and laughed, Kristoff smiled bigger then ever in the back of the room with the other men, the only other time I saw Kristoff smile this big was at his wedding to Anna. Kristoff always smiles, but this was a hurt your cheek smile. A smile that nothing could erase. Nothing.
"Oh, is this for me?" Anna laughed holding up a lovely thin dress. A woman laughed and answered.
"You and your husband." Kristoff smiled mischievously at Anna and I felt my face go red. It was strange them talking about that sort of thing.
"Thank you very much, I will use that after the baby's out." Anna laughed and the women joined in. I stared at Anna who was sitting in the throne next to mine, then I glanced at the window. The plants outside were blowing around unusually fast for summer. Rapunzel caught my confused gaze and looked out the window herself. She cocked her head to one side obviously confused by what she saw. It soon caught the attention of Eider who looked out the window also, his eyes went wide and he ran over to me.
"It's snowing." He whispered into my ear.
"Snowing?" I replied back.
"A snow storm." He looked worriedly at me then Anna then her stomach. He was worried about Anna and the baby, something bad was going to happen. "We need to get her upstairs."
"We can't panic her Eider, her blood pressure and stress level has to stay low for the baby's health and her own."
"Maybe we shouldn't tell her, I have a bad feeling. It's snowing in summer, who knows what Hans or the witch are doing with your powers." He said.
"I don't feel right with lying to her."
"We aren't lying we're just with holding information." He shrugged and I noticed more people going to the windows. Kristoff checked also and soon Anna noticed. She got up from her throne.
"What's everyone looking at?" She laughed making her way over to the crowded window. Kristoff stopped her, thank god.
"It's nothing honey... um just get upstairs please." He begged, seriousness in his eyes. Kristoff was smart, I appreciated him in an all new way now.
"Why? Is something wrong." She asked worry spreading across her face. "I won't unless you tell me what's happening."
"Anna, please don't fight me on this. Please." He said, Anna's face softened.
"Alright, I won't. I'm sorry." Anna said, her hands went to her stomach protectively. Kristoff led her out of the dinning area, while Eider and I followed. Kristoff was helping Anna up the third step when the front doors to the castle blew open with a chilling wind. I shivered and hugged Eider close, Kristoff was wrapping his body protectively around Anna while the snow and ice filled wind poured through the room. Gwyneth slipped out of the dinning room, looking to see what was happening.
"Queen Elsa!" She shouted over the howling wind. Then suddenly the wind died down and a figure stood in the door way, it was Hans.
"Hello, what have we here?" He ticked walking around, his boots making big clomps against the floor. Leif tried opening the dining room door but Hans froze the door shut. I could see a blizzard froze the Fjord again. "A simple servant." He said nodding at Gwyneth who was glaring at him. "A prince wrapping on tightly to his dear Queen." He sneered at us and Eider put his body in front of me protectively making Hans chuckled. "And a pregnant Princess and her reindeer boy." He laughed. His hair was white, his eyes as blue as ice. Hans had my powers.
"Hans." Anna said pushing past Kristoff. "Leave now."
"Oh so you're being brave. I could have easily killed you before and I can easily kill you now Anna. I suggest you shut your mouth." He said, turning his attention back to me.
"What do you want Hans?" Eider asked, drawing his sword.
"You told him about me? Well I'm flattered." He said touching his hand to his chest.
"Well don't be." Anna said. A sharp shard pulled up from the ground right in front of Anna with in an instant. She yelped and jumped back.
"I thought I told you to shut it, next time I won't stop it." Hans said and Kristoff growled in anger.
"What do you want Hans?" I repeated.
"Finally she speaks, I want your kingdom same as I did four years ago. You'll give to me this time."
"Never." I shouted, my voice booming in the empty hall.
"I want to kill you Elsa, and I shall. Let's just make this fun." He taunted, he moved his wrist up slamming Gwyneth into the wall with ice shards. She coughed and choked, gasping for air, one of the diagonal shards was laying on her neck.
"Gwyneth no!" I said rushing for her but Hans stopped me by making me slip on ice. Eider rushed to help me up, and pulled me from the ice. He charged at Hans, sword raised and Hans iced Eider's leg with a flick of his wrist. Eider cried out in pain falling to the floor.
"You better hurry Elsa, If you don't get that block of ice surrounding your lovers leg off, his leg will have to be removed. Frostbite is a tricky thing." He chuckled. "Let's make this even more I interesting because I think Gwyneth is holding her breath for the next part."
"That sucked!" Anna yelled, Gwyneth was literally turning blue though. She couldn't breath.
"Please... help... me." She gasped struggling against the crushing ice.
"How about you come and get me Elsa?" Hand laughed dropping Gwyneth from her icy hold. She crashed to the ground gasping for air and rolling around on the floor. Eider was still in front of me writhing in pain.
"I can't Hans." I said. "I can't beat you."
"No but you can chase me. Let's make this fun. Come one." He laughed.
"No Hans, I'm not playing your stupid game." I said, Hans face turned stony, his joking mannerism was gone.
"Then your sister and her baby dies." Hans said flicking his wrist making the ice shard he launched at her grow closer to her. Anna tried to get up the stairs and Kristoff jumped in front of her. Hans, flicked his other hand, making a ice wall grow in between Anna and the stairs so she couldn't escape. He moved he same hand, making a giant snow hand throwing Kristoff throwing him into the nearest wall and away from Anna.
"I'll do it!" I screamed before the spike got really close to Anna.
"Good girl." Hans said dropping the spike and releasing Eider's leg from the ice brick but it didn't stop his pain. Hans had hurt everyone I loved and cared about, Gwyneth was laying on the floor still as a rock, Kristoff stumbled to get up, Anna was sitting on the steps trying to steady her breathing and heart beat, tears ran down her face and Eider was holding his leg moaning on the floor. The only people he couldn't get to were Rapunzel and Flynn, thank god.
"What do you want to do?" I asked, walking up to him trying to easy my shaking hands.
"I want to have fun, have you not been paying attention? I want this to be a challenge for you, you will die no matter what but killing you right here would be to easy. Although everyone you love would watch you die, which would be a plus." He said.
"Where do you want this to end?" I asked, trying to stay calm.
"At your little ice palace." Hans laughed.
"My ice palace?" I said shocked. My sanctuary, my little quiet place, my second home and he wanted to kill me there.
"Yes, I want you to get killed on my ground. Ice." He laughed manically.
"That palace... is... hers." Kristoff said, wiping his bleeding lower lip.
"Not anymore." Hans said, turning and leaving through the front doors. "If you don't come within the next hour. I'm coming back and all of you will die." He said one final time before un freezing the dining room doors that everyone was trying to break open and left slamming the doors behind him.
"What happened?" Rapunzel said running and looking at us. Leif had opened the door for everyone.
"Hans with my ice powers, happened." I muttered, I got down on my knees and ran my fingers through Eider's hair. His teeth chattered and he held onto his leg trying to warm it up. Leif held Gwyneth in his arms, trying it get her to wake up. She wasn't waking up.
"Flynn, Rapunzel! Get Eider in some hot water immediately!" I ordered, rushing over to Gwyneth. They carried Eider upstairs because Hans unfroze his barrier and shards, Anna still sat in the same spot crying and Kristoff stumbled over to her.
"What's wrong with Gwyneth?" I asked kneeling next to her friend.
"She's not breathing!" He cried.
"I saw her gasping for air, that's not possible." I said starting to panic. I stuck my hand underneath her nose, and felt a small amount of warm air hit my cold finger tips. "She's alive, but barely breathing. Rub her back and make sure she's warm." I said then rushing over to Anna and Kristoff.
"Shh, it's ok Anna." Kristoff said snuggling with her.
"He... tried to kill all of us... Elsa he wants to kill you." She said, her eyes were in full panic mode.
"It's going to be fine Anna, I'll figure this out." I said. "How's your head Kristoff?"
"It's fine, I've got a thick skull." He smiled looking down at Anna who grinned back. I stood up and turned to the worried and confused guest.
"I'm leaving now, I love you all." I announced on the stairs. "I'll be back and this winter will be gone! Make sure you stay warm."
"Where are you going?" Flynn asked coming down the stairs, his hands were wet.
"To defeat Hans, he put Arendelle into an eternal winter, he stole my powers. I need to get them back." I said.
"Not alone." Anna said standing up shakily.
"No Anna-"
"I'm not going to go, I have to protect this baby. Kristoff should go with you." She said looking at her husband, he nodded and stood up.
"Eugene should go too." Rapunzel said coming up behind Flynn, her dress was soaked with water.
"No I need you here to help Eider." I said.
"What about Leif?" Anna asked.
"No he needs to help Gwyneth. Kristoff and I can handle this. There is no other person I'd rather do this with than him or Eider. Eider can't."
"It's ok Anna, I'll help Elsa. We need to prepare." He nodded at me. I nodded back and we walked up the stairs together.
*Kristoff Pov*
I ran into my room, switching into my ice collecting clothes, I grabbed my pick axe and rope, shoving a mini knife into my bag as well. What am I doing? I want to help Elsa, but Anna...
I walked out of my room and was met with a small frame pulling me into a crushing hug. "Be careful Kristoff, I love you. Bring my sister home safe. I love you, I love you so much." She said, her face buried in my chest.
"I will Anna, I promise." I said kissing her head. "I love you so much too." I smiled, trying to lighten the heavy mood. Why couldn't anything go right, I was smiling today watching Anna open presents, some baby things, some parent things. I still wanted to give her that baby name book Flynn gave me. I pulled out of our hug and went back in our room retrieving the book. I handed it to her, she gasped and looked through the pages. "It's from Flynn, he wanted me to get a head start on names but I think you should pick out some and when me and Elsa get back we can talk about it."
"Thank you." She said hugging me again.
"Thank Flynn, we'll be back in a few hours." I said, pulling her face up into my lips. Elsa walked out of her room, wearing a thick light blue dress and a dark blue cloak with white fur around the edge of the hood and sleeves. It latched around her neck.
"Oh, Elsa." Anna said pulling away from me, to soon. "You look wonderful."
"Thanks." Elsa said, her face dark and sad.
"It'll be fine, you'll be back and this will be gone." Anna said grabbing Elsa's brown hair. Elsa smiled slightly before shaking her head slightly and going back to her mad face.
"Let's go Kristoff." Elsa said.
"Don't you want to say goodbye to Eider and your little sister." Anna teased, she was trying to joke. Trying to fix this with her positivity but I don't think it's going to work. This is a serious thing, Elsa knows that she might die, I know that I might die and deep down Anna knows it too. She knows we might not come back alive, but she's pushing that down and I am too. I'm sure Elsa's trying her best.
"Maybe I should." Elsa said walking past Anna who's smile disappeared.
"Is she ignoring me again?" Anna asked.
"No, she's just seeing Eider first then she'll come back for you, she always does. Elsa loves you." I said. Anna hugged me again and I held her, and I would hold her again, I would hold her forever.
* Elsa Pov*
"Eider?" I knocked.
"In the bath." Eider called back. I walked into the bathroom in his room, and he was there completely nude. I looked up and covered my eyes. He chuckled slightly. "It's fine Elsa." He said.
"I will still not look." I said. "I'm leaving." I said. I could see steam from his bath rising.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"To get my powers back." I said sternly.
"Elsa." He groaned.
"No, I have to." I argued.
"I completely understand I just wish I could go with you." He said.
"What?" I said looking at his face. He smiled, his little grin.
"You heard me, I jut wish I could go with you. Are you going alone." He said flirty.
"No Kristoff is coming." I said.
"That's good, you guys can kick his ass easily." He said. "Venge my leg!" He yelled dramatically shaking his fist in the air. I laughed , looked at his leg, it was sitting in the boiling water. It was some what blue and very pale.
"Is it okay?" I said gesturing to it.
"Fine, it just is freezing and hurts... a lot." He shrugged. "You need to go Elsa, you have an hour and I really don't want to die. Especially nude and in the bathtub." I smiled again and leaned down, kissing him.
"Goodbye, I love you. See you soon." I said quietly. He kissed me again.
"See you soon." He smiled. "Be careful."
"Of course." I said leaving the room, I saw Kristoff and Anna talking and I ran and hugged Anna tightly. "Bye."
She hugged me back. "Bye."
"I love you." I said. "I won't leave you again."
"And I won't leave you." She said kissing my cheek. Kristoff smiled again and pulled us into a group hug.
"We need to go Kristoff, we only have an hour. Less than that now." I said, Anna and Kristoff nodded. Kristoff followed me down the stairs and out of the front door while people clapped for us. Clapping for our possible death.
Kristoff fetched Sven and I hopped on the back of Sven wrapped my arms around Kristoff's waist. "Good bye Arendelle." I whispered as we raced to my ice fortress.
