{Author Notes/ Review Response}
Sorry for this one taking so long. Writer's block and my schedule have been very mean to me. (I had this planned out, but I couldn't find a way to write it well. Until now.)
(Also, I hope this chapter isn't too bad because I had some reservations about posting it the way it was.)
Captinmet (Ch 8): … Short-stop? *remembers what that actually was then proceeds to face palm self.* I totally forgot that was a thing.
Guest #1 (Ch 8): … Uhh. He may be a main character, but I didn't put that under… oops. I'll totally fix that now.
THE-Twilight-BlazeKnight (Ch 8): … You do have a point, but I already planned when Jared's "6th" mother comes in. Don't worry it's not an OC.
As for your suggestions with Yang… umm… I don't think I want to use those. They seem a little too easy… to me at least. I have a different idea though. I hope you'll like it.
Fernachos (Ch 8): Thank you for noticing. As you can probably tell, I am a huge fan of the Power Ranger Series. Haven't completely stopped watching it and it may have influenced this story more than it should have.
Zeek72 (Ch8): … Oh you have no idea…
RightHandOfPalpatine (Ch8): Le awesome sause. Now we can both complain about young people together.
Cerberus13 and Madraving (Ch8): Eeeyyy~ shout out to all my fellow TeamFourStar fans! Even though I didn't actually mean for it to be like that scene in the beginning…
A very long time ago…
He stared as he had to recline his head to point it directly into the blue sky above him, and he let his little curious mind wander in thoughts until the point where he pondered if aliens taste like the color blue play dough. The fallen leaves beneath his boots made a fun little crunching sound with each step he made, so he continued to walk on them to hear that satisfying crunch beneath his boots. The giant trees surrounding him made the young little two and a half year old positively miniscule and showed how small he was in the world.
The young little boy hopped around in his Fall wear as he ventured deeper into the woods. The lure of adventure called out to the boy as if it was his destiny. He snuck out of the cabin his parent's friends were all staying at, and ventured to the woods by himself when they were not looking.
Then he heard something, it sounded like a voice. But it sounded kind of loud and weird. It sounded like a girl, a crying girl.
He kept moving, crushing the dry autumn leaves under his boot his parents got him. When he got closer to the sound, he slowed down and slowly poked his head around a tree to spy what was making that sound.
There really was a little girl, probably around his age. She looked weird. She had black hair with a pink streak, and when she opened her eyes, she had the same magenta pupils as her streak. But she still was crying, even as the boy slowly got closer to her.
Crimson eyes met with teary Magenta ones. But the little girl still continued to wail and sob.
The young boy looked around for a second, wondering what to do.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" The little toddler yelled loudly.
The scream hurt the ears of the small girl and she quickly put her hands over her ears.
"W-why did you do that!?" The girl sniffed, a little angry at the boy randomly screaming at her.
"My dad always told me it's not a good thing to make a girl cry. … But he didn't tell me how to stop a girl from crying, so I thought I'd scream over you and pretend I wasn't hearing you cry." The boy reasoned poorly in his slightly squeaky voice.
"That's stupid. You're stupid." The girl retorted back.
"But it worked!" The raven haired boy smiled as he raised both his hand up as if he had won a race.
The girl realized that it did work for a minute, but she still had a problem. "But we're lost. I don't know how to get to Mammy and Father…"
"You mean Uncle Ren and Auntie Nory?" The little boy's voice cracked. He remembered her now. Dad introduced her to him when he first met Uncle Ren and Auntie Nory.
"You're She-ya!" He exclaimed and pointed to her.
"It's Xia!" The girl sniffed.
"Not to worry, See-ya, (Xia: Xia!) the cabin is back there!"
She sniffed again. "You know where it is?"
"Uh-huh!" He threw his hand out in front of her. "Come on! You can play with me on the way back!"
The girl slowly smiled from the peaceful look on his face, and took the little boy's hand.
And she did not let go of it the entire trip back to the cabin.
It had floated around for a while…
You know how they go. You say one thing to a person, or you overhear something of interest.
Then you tell it to someone you know in your own words. Then they tell someone else they know in their words. So on and so forth.
As you could probably tell, the words get contorted hard from the truth because of everyone's paraphrasing, and this is how rumors are made.
This particular rumor was of that a certain heiress was secretly having an affair with the infamous leader of the five man team among first years.
She smirked as she heard the tidbits of this twisted rumor. Once more, a golden opportunity presented itself to her and her allies.
But for this to be fully exploited, she needed solid information, not rumors.
And she knew where to get solid information.
"Hey Pyrrha!" She called out in a friendly and playful manner, catching the gladiator off guard.
She looked back to the voice and her eyes briefly widened in surprise. "Ms. Anuket? Do you need help with anything?"
The blue haired girl smiled kindly before chuckling in a mischievous manner. "Oh come on Pyrrha, it's alright. You can just call me Thal for short. My real name is too long and exotic, and Ms. Anuket reminds me of my mom."
"Alright then Thal." Pyrrha formally answered back.
Thalassa sighed with a continued grin. "Oh Pyrrha dear, you are so adorable trying to act so formal. Let's just kick back and do whatever girls do! Like shopping, talking with boys, fashion, boys, cute things, and boys!"
"You said 'boys' three times."
"What can I say? There's more than Grimm I hunt…" There was a slightly dangerous gleam in her eyes which caused Pyrrha to tense. Thalassa chuckled and patted her shoulder. "Aww, I was only half-joking, my adorable Kouhai."
"Umm, I hate to sound round. But why are you here?" Pyrrha asked politely.
"Boo! I wanted to spend time with you and maybe get closer to that cute partner of yours," Unbeknownst to Pyrrha, she just twitched. "OK, then! I'm kind of curious of a certain rumor flying around and maybe you can help me with it."
"Rumor?" Pyrrha inquired.
Thalassa looked around before motioning Pyrrha closer to her. Pyrrha, while a little hesitant, came closer to hear Thalassa's whisper. "Is it true that Jaune Arc is having an affair with the Schnee heiress?"
"NO!" Pyrrha winced back, blushing madly before realizing what she just did and tried to quickly recompose herself. "Y-you are mistaken… Thal… Jaune isn't having an affair with Weiss," She sighed dejectedly. "… My friend Resh set up a blind date for them."
Thalassa raised her brow. "Really? Oh. I guess that makes more sense. I mean, some of the more recent rumors have gotten really funny."
Pyrrha had a bad feeling, but she asked. "What recent rumors?"
"Oh, that Jaune Arc is having a three way with Weiss, Yang Xiao Long, and Resh Kolc."
Pyrrha's mind was not prepared for her own brain putting that image in her head. "W-what!? N-n-no! T-that's not true at all! Some complications came up and it's been turned into a double date that Yang and Resh are joining them!" She corrected frantically. "Wait, why is Resh even in that!?
Thalassa laughed simply. "Aww, you're so cute. Relax Pyrrha, it's just a rumor. Plus some students have seen the two disappear for hours in the morning only to come back into the dorms hot and sweaty… hmm…" She let that last part roll around her tongue and leave it her to imagination.
"T-they are just jogging!" Pyrrha corrected. "I've been with them before!"
Thalassa smiled enviously. "Oh you naughty girl, jogging along with two hot guys…"
"I-it's not like that!" The blush on her face did not fade, but Pyrrha forced herself to remain composed. "Can we please stop talking about this? They haven't even decided where to take the date right now…" Pyrrha told her.
Thalassa had something click in her head. She came closer to Pyrrha and wrapped her in a friendly hug. "Aww, you really are cute," She let go of the flustered girl. "Alright I'll stop talking about it."
"Thank you…" Pyrrha sighed a breath of relief.
What she didn't know was Thalassa's smile turned dark. "But can you tell me a bit more about them not deciding a place for the date?"
Her eyes flashed blue.
In front of 'Frezzino's eatery and Pizzeria', Jared was wearing a faded-styled denim jacket with a black T-shirt that had a rainbow colored, cursive written word of 'Anarchy', and wearing khaki pants with the same shoes he's always wore, long lasting, all terrain white rubber shoes with purple accents. On his pants, he was wearing a black leather belt with his Armaments of Raijin fashioned to his right hip.
He was having a conversation with Jaune, who also cleaned up for the big day. He decided to wear a long sleeve white shirt under a black vest jacket, and who wore dark jeans for today.
"I can't believe this." Jaune paced frantically outside the eatery. He seemed nervous, and who could blame him? He was going out with one of the most influential people in all of Remnant.
Jared sighed dejectedly. "I said I was sorry sir."
"Sorry? Why should you be sorry?" The blond boy looked questioningly back at his friend.
Jared seemed confused and slowly raised his brow. "Sir, I had to bring Yang and me along with you and Weiss."
"Yeah, well… I was kind of worried what to do. I was never on a date before!" Jaune yelped.
The raven haired boy chuckled. "Well, I've never been on a date before either."
"Really? You've never been on a date before? Then how come you knew how to set this up?!"
"I had friends who dated each other. It wasn't that uncommon. The weird part was that whenever I would try to ask out a girl they would run away from me," Jared sighed. "To this day I still don't know what I did wrong."
What Jared didn't know was that Xia was a little clingy towards her prey—childhood friend. Jared was actually quite the ladies man past the sarcastic tongue and slightly sadistic mannerisms. However, he didn't realize this because all potential females were too scared of the unstoppable force that was the current heir to the "Ren" family.
"Maybe they were smart enough to know you were a terrible human being from the start." Jaune started.
"Hmph. What does that say about you who wasn't smart enough to notice?" His future son smirked, earning a glare from the blonde. Jared then looked back to the restaurant and frowned. "Weiss is so going to kill me for this…"
"You make it sound like you've got a lot riding on this! Hello!? I'm having a date with the girl of my dreams here!?" Jaune called out.
Jared raised his brow and gave his dad a confused look. "Sir you've only known her for at least two weeks, and let me tell you she has barely spoken a full paragraph to you in those whole two weeks. How exactly did you believe her to be the girl of your dreams?"
"She's just gotta be the one! Don't you believe in love at first sight?"
"I'll believe it more when your supposed soul mate returns the same amount of affection towards you."
Jaune narrowed his eyes at his raven haired friend. "Why are you dating Yang then?"
"I'm not dating Yang!" Jared screamed while having his face flustered in red.
It was odd for someone, who was currently in the greatest position of envy among all first years, to go on a date with one of Beacon's hottest girls, yet somehow despise it.
Jared Arc was a heterosexual. It's just that the idea of incest was sickening him. Even if Yang did not become his ma in the future, having intercourse with a forty plus year old woman in his mind would not bode well for a teenager's psyche unless they were one of those strange people with tastes on older people.
I mean from a non-socially constructed view point where things like social status and labels don't exist—never mind, he was not entertaining that thought.
After the initial outburst, Jared felt himself slump and become a little sadder. "I'm just paying her back for treating her like a jerk." Jared explained somberly.
Jaune seemed confused at the answer. "Was that why you were acting so weird recently that morning a few days back?"
Jared looked out to the street as cars passed by. "No… that's a little more complicated. Let's just say my brother is a jerk and right now I wish he didn't exist."
'Or at least go back into non-existence…'
A soon as he ended, the tone suddenly shifted between the two. Jaune found it a little hard to talk to Resh. He always seemed to avoid talking about his family except his dad, but then even then it looked like he was still withholding some information. It wasn't like Resh didn't trust them. No, Jaune really trusted Resh and it looked like Resh trusted him. But It looked like Resh's family had issues and he really didn't want to drag him into it. It was the opposite with him; he was proud of his family and would go on about stories about them if he could, but he felt like he didn't exactly belong in his family.
To be honest, his family was a bit of a touchy subject too, especially if they knew where he was right now…
Jaune shook his head and looked back into the restaurant of Resh's choice. For a place that had a lot of good reviews, there were some intimidating looking chefs in the distance. I mean, one of them even had a cool looking scar and was glaring right back at Jaune!
…
Jaune looked away and nervously waited for Resh to speak again.
…
…
Jaune sneezed.
"Gesundheit."
"Thanks."
…
…
…
"Wow the girls are taking a long time," Jared finally talked again. "We did tell them the time to come here and the address right, Sir? … Sir?" Jared turned to see the team captain gawking in one random direction, along with every male around him in the busy streets.
He turned to the direction he was looking and his eyes widened as wide as saucers.
Their 'dates' looked stunning.
Yang was wearing a leather thin jacket over a bright yellow t-shirt with the words 'Violence' written in red cursive ink with a heart on top of the 'I' part. She wore tight jeans that really showed off her curves with wearing long brown boots that reached up to the half of her knee with several belts that were there for style.
Weiss was wearing a white beret on her head and fashioned a while long sleeve shirt under a white formal-looking designer jacket with pink silk fabric in the inside. She also wore a rather long skirt much like her usual attire, but it looked far frillier. She also had white stockings that covered her legs nicely and also wore similar boots to Yang albeit light gray instead of brown. On her ears were eye-catching earrings that had her company's symbols etched in silver.
Jared glanced over to Jaune again who was still gawking at the eye candy in front of them. Then, like any good and trust worthy friend, he elbowed him in the rib to snap him back into his senses.
"Hey! Boys, you two clean up nicely!" Yang called out, winking for good measure.
"You girls look g-great…" Jaune managed to sputter out.
"Why exactly did you choose this place to begin the date?" Weiss questioningly glared at the restaurant of Resh's choosing.
Jared remained composed and answered with a smile, "I like exotic foods. It wouldn't hurt to try something new. Besides, Pyrrha suggested it to me." Jared briefly wondered why Pyrrha suggested this place at all to him. It seemed odd that she would help out in planning for the date, but Jared felt guilty in making her feel bad when he first announced it, so he ultimately decided to listen to her word.
… And there was the reason that a high class dining area of Weiss standards would be too much for all both boys' credit. Jared was glad enough that the Scroll he received had its own digital account to pay for his foods and other necessities, but even that money was limited.
"Also, I originally thought about something along your standards. Then the Dishwasher Incident happened…" Jared narrowed his eyes at Jaune.
"That wasn't my fault!" Jaune cried while Yang averted her eyes elsewhere in an attempt to avoid attention.
Jared rolled his eyes before motioning to the door. "Well? Let's go order lunch now; I'm starving. Ladies first."
As the four went in, none of them noticed an inconspicuous, tall man glancing over to them and talking on his scroll.
If there was anything on Jared Arc's head right now, it was that he currently hated his life.
He always behaved… well sorta. It's not his fault he gets caught up in Xia's whimsical schemes for the day. … OK fine, he probably could have done more to stop himself and her from causing hysteria in their school lives, but he never hurt anyone! … To the point they needed intensive hospital care…
Huh… maybe he did deserve what was happening to him right now.
But that wasn't exactly the point was it? The point is, he was absolutely, 99 percent sure that he wasn't supposed to be on a double date with his parents! What kind of sadistic, megalomaniac of a sicko would put him in such a situation?!
The answer? Himself!—Wait…
Ahh right. He did set up the date between Jaune and Weiss then he goofed up and owed Yang a favor which she turned it into a double date between him and her joining Vomit Boy and Ice Queen's date.
And he only goofed up in the first place because he was angry at some secret group of people keeping secrets and somehow trapping him in the past.
Man, if he didn't know better, he would say his life is a wannabe writer's fiction story.
Inside the eatery, the four had already settled down. The atmosphere was quite lively with there being more people than usual for their lunch rush.
This was where a certain Heiress dubiously plotted.
It was really hard not to notice Weiss for Resh. Mostly because she was a 'little peeved' at having both Yang and he join what was supposed to be a date for only her and Jaune. She had mentally prepared herself for whatever silliness Jaune would attempt with her, but she really didn't take into account Yang and Resh joining them. It was really aggravating to her. Being alone with Jaune might have been somewhat bearable, but with Yang's smug grin and character to tease things for her own pleasure, Weiss really hated Resh for allowing this to happen instead of putting his foot down.
And don't think she only hated Resh for that alone, despite Resh being the only person among the four that she disliked the least, (Even that isn't as good enough) she loathed the dynamic between Arc and Kolc. While it was true he did stop Arc from flirting with her, she wasn't always fond of the boy's sarcastic and sometimes showy attitude for theatrical flares. She also disliked how he kept claiming not to want to talk about his family.
One would think she, of all people, would empathize with not talking about her family, yet there was just something about the way he talked about his father, but didn't say anything about him seemed suspicious. During the explanation of his weapon, she noticed a fondness in Resh's voice when he talked about his father, something she doesn't always have. She could tell about Resh's care for his father, but why exactly did he hide it from them? This screamed suspicious to Weiss, but she decided to trust him about it for now at least.
In basic sense, she was with three people she liked the least and now had to spend the afternoon with them.
Oh, she complained about it alright, but Resh was able to still convince her it wouldn't affect her deal that she made with Resh and Jaune. And right now, she was slowly working out her frustrations by giving the Evil Eye at Resh until he fell dead. It was honestly working a lot better than she expected it to. It was probably only a matter of time until Weiss intimidated Resh so much, he would either start sweating blood from running out of sweat, or have a heart attack, whichever biological improbability happened first.
Yang on the other hand thought this would be fun. Free food, chance to look smoking hot as usual, and a chance to tease all three people, or at least get some good dirt on them, it was win-win-win for her.
"So?" Jaune started off the conversation as the four waited for their orders. This secretly made Resh sigh in relief as Weiss gaze stopped glaring daggers momentarily at him. "… Nice weather we're having?"
The three just stared at him, all with mixed reactions. Yang was poorly trying to stifle a teasing grin. Weiss' glare somehow increased in deadliness. And Jared…
Jared felt like dying at that moment.
It was then Jared smiled, and turned to the two girls. "Excuse us for one second…" Before Jared stood up, grabbed Jaune by the arm and yanked him away from the table. The two then turned a corner towards the male restroom and kitchen exit, getting out of earshot and sight of the two girls.
Yang was laughing quite jubilantly at the little show. "Oh… I am so glad I came here!"
"Ugh! Just a few more hours Schnee, and it will all be over…" Weiss muttered to herself as she told herself this will all be over soon. This date was not going well for her, and it had just started to boot.
Yang heard this and turned to her. "Aww don't be like that, Weissy, Skater and Vomit Boy are doing their best. Besides the day is still young!"
"Do not call me Weissy," The white themed girl snapped. "And why are we even doing this in the first place? We are training to be elite hunters! Not some unremarkable, floozy, drama couple!"
"You need to relax Ice Queen, don't get your panties in such a twist," Yang then started calling Weiss her other nickname. "Besides, it's only a few hours, so would it kill you to enjoy yourself?"
"I have better ways to enjoy myself than with those two stooges."
Yang rolled her eyes. "I don't understand why you're so against this. You agreed to this."
"That's because Resh pulled a low tactic…" Weiss complained. "I didn't expect things to be this bad when he first made the deal."
"Like I just said… it's still the early. You're being too hard on the guys." Yang tried to tell her but had this feeling of rising annoyance in herself.
"Hard on them? We are training to be hunters in a school for the best of the best, and they spend their time making fun of each other, and talking about comic books, and other childish non-sense! They are supposed to be hunters, yet they act like idiots! At least Ruby had the decency to try to be a good leader."
"Hey, you know that isn't true! Jaune and Resh deserve to be here as much as you and I, Ice Queen!" Yang answered back at her, yet she wasn't fully aware of the fact Jaune got in by cheating his transcripts, and Resh/Jared didn't even want to be in Beacon in this time line. "Just what is your problem? They're just trying to have fun."
Weiss turned her head and narrowed her eyes at Yang. "Fun? We are training to be hunters! Professional warriors to hunt down Grimm. I did not come to one of the most prestigious schools in Remnant to listen to someone's superficial flirting!"
"Well excuse them for wanting to live a little." Yang sarcastically told her.
"Of course you'd say that." Weiss scoffed coldly.
Yang's eyes snapped opened and she turned to glare at her team mate. "I'm sorry, what was that!?" The area behind her suddenly had its temperature spike up.
Weiss returned the glare. Some people noticed some of their drinks on her side starting to freeze while the temperature behind her seemed to drop.
Some of the people in the background started to leave. It wasn't because the service was bad or the food was terrible, it was because the two girls at one side of the restaurant seemed to be ready to cut their throats out.
Weiss then started the conversation again, but this time it wasn't with some passive aggressive insult. It was with a question.
"Why are you even a hunter in the first place?"
Yang's anger stopped for a second after hearing that odd question.
Weiss held up her hand and counted off. "Ruby thinks being a hunter is cool. Blake obviously has her reasons, but will not say. Even Team JNPR seems to have some valid reason to be hunters. Nora is slightly like Ruby. Ren seems to tag along to keep Nora in check. Pyrrha has her name to uphold, and I even heard Pyrrha tell me both Jaune and Resh would like to fill their parents shoes—albeit they aren't doing a fine job at it, but still have a reason to be a hunter. Then there's you, a girl who cares more about her hair than collateral damage." Weiss pointed back to her after naming everyone. "Tell me, Xiao Long, why exactly did you become a hunter when all you do is pick fights and shamelessly party around? We all have our reasons for taking hunters seriously. But you? You make it seem like being a hunter is nothing but a whim. That's why I dislike you; you make fun of anyone trying to pursue their goals by seeking selfish thrills in this school."
Yang wanted nothing more than to punch this girl right in the face. Everything she just claimed was wrong, she didn't know her! And she was about to get the beating of her life!
Yang clenched her fists. Her eyes turned red.
"Hey girls sorry about that."
The two girls snapped their head towards Jaune, who had just returned only to be victim of both girls' vicious gaze.
Jared, who actually sensed the atmosphere when they returned, and failed to catch Jaune from sitting back at the table, muttered to himself, "Suddenly, the weather seems like an interesting topic to go back into..."
"Umm…" Jaune looked around and seemingly saw the entire room turn to his direction. They were all curious as to what would happen next. "D-Did something happen?"
"The final straw," Weiss muttered. She then turned her gaze to Jared, much to the future boy's dismay. "The deal is off Kolc, I can no longer stand it." She stated coldly before walking out.
"What?" Jared called out in surprise. What had happened? He and Jaune were just discussing a game plan for the date for a minute or two, what went wrong so fast?
Jared looked to Yang for some kind of explanation, but the usually boisterous girl actually seemed gloomy and just shook her head.
"Sorry, Resh, I gotta go." She said to him before leaving though a different exit.
"W-what just happened?" Jaune looked towards his friend for some kind of exposition into what in Remnant just occurred in front of them?
"Heck if I know!" Jared cried out before shaking his head.
Jaune didn't know what exactly had caused that, but he was sure that he didn't like the two of them being angry. "Resh, we need to get them back. You go after Yang, while I go after Weiss."
"Huh? Why?" Jared was still trying to understand what had just happened while they were gone.
"They're our friends, aren't they? They looked sad, so we should help them feel better! … At least that's what my little sister once said to me. Point is we shouldn't let them go on that note." He finished with a rather determined look on his face.
Jared calmed down and smiled at Jaune. For a second there he sounded like a real leader. "We better hurry, who knows where they went by now."
The two boys nodded, but before they could make their move, someone called out to them.
"Hey!"
Jaune paled a little when he saw the tough looking chef he made eye contact with a while ago. It wasn't helping that he was holding a rather thick looking knife with blood on it.
"You four ordered a meal. Whose going to pay for all of it?!"
Jaune turned to his friend—only to see said 'friend' leave through Yang's exit.
Jaune mentally cursed Resh's name in unspeakable profanities as he took out his wallet.
Weiss walked around town for a bit. She needed to clear her head.
Fun? Planning and organizing events and orchestras were fun. What was so 'fun' about wasting your time loitering about doing selfish things that don't contribute into anything?
What was so fun about those two idiots? Who just smiled so much and laughed as much? What was smiling at poor insults as if they were some kind of victory good for? Why did they spend so much time with each other and actually seem like close family? Why was it easy for them to make anyone around them to smile? She even saw Belladona smirk at several occasions when the two males would go on their daily banter. Why couldn't she get her own father to—
That was enough of those thoughts. She wasn't going to stand listening to those fools for several more hours. Seeing them get along so easily made her stomach lurch. Why did it do that though? Why was it that two completely different people, two random boys, reminded her of herself and her relationship with another person? Why did she always subconsciously stare at them whenever they would happily insult each other, honestly laugh at one another? Why were those two, who had only met in under a month, so open with each other? Yet in seventeen years she struggled to make him smile…
"Oh! Weiss! Weiss!"
The heiress inwardly groaned at the voice.
Glancing over her shoulders to confirm her suspicions, Weiss saw Jaune Arc chasing after her.
Not wanting to talk with him of all people, Weiss saw a chance to lose him by hastily turning to an alleyway.
No sooner than she did, she heard the sounds of guns cocking.
Weiss stepped back in surprise. There were people wearing black suits pointing guns in front of her. They looked much like ex-criminals and convicts, but since they were pointing guns at her in an alleyway, that was only momentary.
Weiss turned around only to pale at the sight of a large seven foot man wrapping his strong arm around Jaune Arc's neck and lifting him off the ground, causing the blond to gasp for air and kick his feet uselessly.
"Miss Schnee," The large man wearing a fedora and glasses covering his face spoke out with a unique accent. He then took out a pistol and then pointed the barrel right on Jaune's head. "Allow me to make proposal you can't refuse."
{Author Notes}
And Cliffhanger! (Ooh, so close with that last sentence…)
I really thought about putting the whole little event here. But I thought against it since there was some things I wanted to add in, but I felt sort of messed up with the flow of the story.
Since there I have trouble understanding the Characters of Rwby completely due to the fact there isn't much stated about them, I'm going to have to do my take on what I think their characters do. I will try to keep it close as to what they show in the series as possible, but for the sake of this story, I'm going to have to make some guesses and add my own ideas to them.
I'm a little worried since I do want the characters to be in character as much as possible, but with this story they may diverge a bit.
In the next part of the story, you'll see a little more into this than you think.
