*Kristoff pov*

I'm freaking out. Anna's in labor, Eider's gone, Elsa's gone, Olaf's gone and Gwyneth looks like she's freaking out too. She's pacing back and forth biting her thumb nail while Anna sleeps for the little time she has before the big pain comes in. Every now and then I'll see her flinch in her sleep or she'll moan softly but nothing to wake her up.
Anna was crying earlier, she wanted Elsa here for this, trying to convince me of the hot ice. Anna...
I rubbed my eyes trying to keep myself from falling asleep, she needs me to be alert for her but I'm just so tired. The sun set 5 hours ago. Soon Gwyneth's pace slowed and she sat down in a chair rubbing her temples with a yawn. It's been a stressful tiring day, especially for Anna. Maybe if I just closed my eyes for a second, the mid-wife said the first born always take the longest.

Suddenly I'm jolted awake by tiny hands.
"Kristoff." Anna mumbled tiredly.
"What, are you ok? Is it the baby?" I asked panicked, looking into the darkness in front of me.
"Ya I'm fine, I just need to use the bathroom, can you help me walk over there?"
"Of course." I said, grabbing her hand and lighting a candle. I lead her slowly into the bathroom knowing she was in small amounts of pain. She closed the door on me not allowing me to come in. I looked through our room making sure everything was safe. Our window was open slightly but that was normal in the hot weather, Gwyneth was asleep in one of our chairs. Her head was rested in her hand, she snored loudly and a chain of drool went from her mouth to her wrist. I walked over and shook her gently.
"Gwen... Wake up." I said. She groaned and rolled over soon beginning to snore again. So I shook her... Again.
She scoffed and lunged forward in her chair obviously frightened, she breathed heavily and rubbed her eyes before looking at me.
"You scared me." She grumbled.
"Sorry, I just wanted to say that you can go to your own room." I replied. She wiped the drool on her chin and the corners of her mouth while nodding.
"Anna's ok though?" She asked getting up from her seat and stretching her back.
"Yes, she's in the bathroom." I said pointing to the door.
"Ok, let me know if anything happens." She said scratching her head and shuffling out of our room.
"Kristoff!" Anna yelled from the bathroom.
"What?" I said bursting through the door. She was sitting on the toilet, her undergarments at her ankles and her night gown pulled up into her lap.
"It hurts." She whimpered reaching out for me.
"What hurts?" I asked softly kneeling in front of her.
"I was going pee and..." Her eyes were starting to get watery. "This pain just happened and it's pain, actual pain." She grabbed my hand and squeezed tightly.
"Let's get you back into bed, ok?" I asked.
"No, I need to walk." She said drying her eyes. "I'm so scared."
"I know, I am too." I said helping her up. I pulled her undergarments up for her and flushed the toilet. She washed her hands in silence and I watched her in silence. So many emotions, the air felt heavy. Elsa is gone and Anna's child... Our child is coming. I can see the anger and sadness in her eyes. Her hair looked limp and discolored, her forehead was staring to put a thin layer of sweat on it, deep bags were under her beautiful blue eyes. She seemed to be in another world. "I think you've washed your hands enough." I said uncrossing my arms and walking over to her.
"Right, I zoned off." She nodded drying her hands. She grabbed my hand tightly, like she was afraid of letting go.
"I won't let go." I whispered into her ear. "Hang in there."
"Thank you." She said pulling me into a big hug. I hugged her back.
The sun was starting to rise outside our window when we finally let go of each other. Anna breathed in heavily, and rubbed her stomach while walking to the window.
"It's so beautiful." She smiled, "Our child born on a brand new day."
"That's right." I smiled, I was going to be a dad today. "Do you wanna take that walk now?"
Anna nodded and walked over to me with a yawn. I yawned too, I got 3 maybe 4 hours of sleep. She grabbed my hand and we walked through the doors of our room. It was darker out in the hallway, we could see a light coming from Gwyneth's room. Her door was flung open and she was laying face down on her bed, horizontally, feet hanging of the bed. I could hear snoring and Anna stifled a laugh.
"I was thinking." I said.
"Oh really." Anna teased, her moodiness seemed to be gone.
"Yeah, what about names. I liked Joseff." I said with a shrug, I felt nervous talking to her about this.
"Joseph?" She asked.
"No, Joseff... J-O-S-E-F-F. The double F like Kristoff."
"I love it, the weird spelling just like his dad. But that's if it was a boy."
"Of course, I wasn't going to name our daughter Joseff. It was for future reference if we have a boy."
"Still think it's a girl?" She asked.
"Don't you?" I asked.
"I don't know." She said.
"Do you have a name?" I asked changing the subject.
She whispered something, something I couldn't hear.
"What?" I asked kindly.
"Elsa..." She murmured.
"Oh, Elsa." I said with a nod.
"I-I... At least for a middle name. For our little girl, for me to have peace."
"There will never be another Elsa." I said, I didn't want Anna to think our daughter would replace her sister. Because she wouldn't.
"I know, I just want to honor my sister. Elsa is a beautiful name."
"I know, but... I want you to be free from this. Naming our daughter Elsa will just bring back memories. She'll want to know why her name was Elsa, you'll hear that name and hut think of your sister not our daughter. Or everything you remember about your sister will be replaced by memories of our little girl. If you must, you must. Just reconsider..." I pleaded. "I want our daughter to be her own person, not living in the shadow of Elsa."
"I understand." Anna said, tears rolling slowly down her face.
Then I kissed her, our lips seemed like they haven't touched in forever, this warmth exploded through me and it felt like the first time I kissed her, but better. The love is stronger then it was the first time we kissed.
We pulled away slowly.
"That was..." Anna began before moaning in pain and doubling over, grabbing my shoulders.
"Anna?"
"Contraction." She moaned. Her body rocked back and forth trying to ease the pain. "It hurts."
"I know, it's almost over just breath." I instructed. She breathed in and out slowly. "You're doing great."
"Shut up right now please." She said obviously upset, soon her rocking stopped and she leaned up slowly. Her face had a thin sheet of sweat of it and she wiped it off with a big breath.
"Are you ok?"
"I think I am now, sorry I told you to shut up."
"No, I completely understand." I said taking her hand.
"You always know what to say and do, how are you so calm?" She said with a little laugh.
"I actually have no idea."
"You're such a dork."
"Says the princess of dorkyness."
"You win this time."
"I always do." I smiled, planting a kiss on her clammy forehead.
