{Author notes/Review Response}

Wow these are getting longer. I might have to start putting these at the end of the Chapter after this one.

College Fool (Ch 10) : Ooh. That's what you meant… OK. As for the mother matching the chapter, I could do that. But the reason why they never really had a pattern in the first place was simply for me to express the more unrestricted part of my imagination, and to write freely any potentially sweet and heartwarming family moments that came to mind. Also, I originally thought it was a good idea because it could get bits of other potential mothers of Jared while the 'current' Jaune and Jared were dealing with another girl. Since I'm planning to make the girls have solid reasons to be closer to Jaune, it's going to take a little more out of me. The small snipets from Jared's potential futures sort of fill in quotas for heartwarming events in case one chapter is lacking much like the others before.

Basically, I wrote without organization because it was easiest for me.

(Also the reason why the Ozpin part was placed after the Author Notes was because I thought that after the last Chapter, people would right away want to know what's happening with Jaune and Weiss, so I placed it almost like an after note so it wouldn't interrupt the story too much.)

THE-Twilight-BlazeKnight (Ch 10): Oh! I was wondering why a random guest mentioned the Velvet thing. I can also see your point in explaining why you'd like Velvet to be a mom.

Now for the references, I might put some here and there, but this fic already has a lot of references as is. (Intentional and unintentional) I would very much like to keep the references to a minimum… maybe… Or at least try to work it in more subtly. (I mean I like references but I don't exactly want to rely on them.)

SoggyWontnz (Ch 10): Hmm… *Rubs chin thoughtfully.*

Cerberus13 (Ch 10): Unfortunately, with the way this fic is being planned… it's going to take a while. I hope that all in between however will still satisfy you.

NARUTOfan876 (Ch 10) : I don't think her self esteem is going to hurt that much if one guy rejects her. And technically, Jared didn't reject her, he's just deflecting since he has no idea how to respond to her advances other than running away.

Benthino (Ch 10): Which last part? The one before or after the last author notes?

Lukefang (Ch 10): What do you mean by the clothe change? And technically, for chapter ten, the last part is actually a plot point in the story.

CrimsonHeresy (Ch 10) : No, I don't think you're a bad person. … But I do question your tastes if you are hoping for an incest pairing here.

dragoon109 (Ch 2) : I don't understand the question. What do you mean? To be honest, they don't exist yet where Jared is, so….

dracohalo117 (Ch 1-10) : Thank you for all the great reviews. I would love to respond to them individually, but this Author Note has gone long enough.

Guest (5/14) (Ch 1): *I am not liable nor at fault if others around you have a need to correct or remind you what the definition of Potato Sauce is if they confuse that saying as a moment of hysteria for not remembering what Potato Sauce actually is.*

"Honey… are you sure this is a good idea?" The spouse asked incredulously as he saw what had happened to his four year old toddler.

"I am a robot~!" The young boy managed to squeak out while waving his arms about… he was also unable to actually put them down because the wrappings were actually quite thick.

"What?" The wife asked out. "He likes it, plus it saves money on Halloween costumes."

"The amount of duck tape and bubble wrap you spent on covering him is actually more than a regular super hero costume." The husband noted.

Their daughter came down from the stairs and then took out her scroll. "Nice costume, Jay." She smiled.

"Hold up young lady," Their mother raised a brow as she noticed her nine year old daughter dressed up in party clothes and not a costume. "Why are you wearing that?"

"I'm going to a party."

"Ahahaha. What?" Their father walked closer to their daughter.

"My friends invited me over to this cool party over Patch."

"Why the heck are you already going to party on Halloween!?" her mother shouted. "You are not going!"

"What!? Oh come on! I'm too old for trick or treating!" The older sister complained.

"You're nine years old! Your father didn't stop trick or treating till he was twenty one!"

"Honey!" The husband cried out at that embarrassing fact.

"I'm trying to make a point here!"

"Ugh this is so unfair! You're letting Jay go with Auntie Nora and Xia! And Xia's more mature than her own mother!"

"And your Auntie Ruby and us will be there with them," The mother firmly put. "Now change, you are not going to that party!"

"Ugh you never let me do anything!" Yin complained as she stormed up back in her room and slammed the door hard, making the sound echo through the door.

The mother then sighed. "Oh god, I sound like dad…" She placed a hand on her forehead and sat on the living room couch.

"Really? You sound like a normal mom to me." Her spouse comforted her and sat beside her. Secretly, he also knew she wasn't like her father because his father in law scared the crap out of him. "And hey, if anything, I'm actually surprised how well you're handling Yin. She's like you in so many ways."

The wife chuckled at that before leaning her head on his shoulder. "You make it sound like I was that bad."

"Oh, you were worse. I'm just worried Yin's going to evolve as the years go by." The husband told her, leaning his head on hers and smelling her wonderful scent.

"Aww man, if that's really the case, I've got to call pops, and tell him sorry for raising me..." She complained but still stayed on her husband's shoulder. She was enjoying his scent and the time of peace between the two of them.

Wait a sec, peace and quiet?

She opened her eyes and got up, making her husband blink in surprise at the sudden action.

She asked him something very dark, "Dear… where's Jared?"

Both of them had a horrible look of realization as they slowly turned to the main door of their house where it was left wide open.

Things got worse when they heard other screaming children in their neighborhood.

"MOMMY THERE'S THIS WEIRD KID IN BUBBLE WRAP CHASING US!"

"EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! ERRADICATE! EXPERIMENT! OTHER LARGE WORDS THAT START WITH 'E' HERE!" Another familiar voice screamed out.

"Oh Monty, I left the door open!" The husband cried out as both he and his wife ran out to stop their child from somehow scaring other children while being dressed up in bubble wrap.

Meanwhile, Yin was sneaking out the window. Taking advantage of her brother's short attention span, she smiled as she saw her brother somehow out ran the famous "Golden Duo" Hunters. "Way-to-go bro. Thug life!" She cried out before sneaking out.

That was quite the night for the Arc family. As soon as the parents caught their son, the mother had tore down the entire neighborhood just to get Yin out of the party.

Needless to say after this event, the Arc family was banned by the mayor to go out during Halloween.

"Are the two secured?" He asked strictly. Anything but the answer he was expecting would lead to some disastrous results.

"Yea Joe Capone, the two people are locked in the basement storage room. Not getting in or out without goin' through one long hallway of us patrolin'." A grunt answered.

Joe Capone seemingly relaxed into his chair in what looked to be an old office. "Good. Make sure the three that were with me get proper care. Last thing I need is them getting frost bite or something. You people are expensive as is."

The grunt left and out of the shadows of his room, a man that was just as tall, but far thinner than the built mob boss stepped into the dim light of the room. He seemed to have soft looking scales around his face, and his irises looked much like black slits in the middle of his green eyes.

"Hmmm… sssuch and intriguing look on your faccce. What isssss the matter bossss?"

Joe scoffed. "Well for one, Boros, you could stop rolling your dang "S's". I get you're a freaking Snake Faunus, but there really should be no reason for ya to continuously repeat those sounds since ya ain't got a forked tongue."

Boros, the snake Faunus dropped his act. "Aww, no fun. But then… may I ask what's really bothering you then?"

"The Blonde kid I got with the Heiress."

"Ah. Why didn't you just kill him?"

"No time. They were both Hunters in training. You know how hard it is to kill those people even without their Aura's protecting them. Killing that brat would take too long, and we were pressed for time."

"Then why not kill him here?" Borros asked.

Joe looked at his computer, a little bulky and one of the older models before the sleek and thinner screens came out, yet still able to function right, then turned the screen to face Borros. "… Cause our 'ominous tip' that told us about the Heiress has just put a bounty on the blonde kid."

Boros' eyes widened as they saw an email offering a very large amount of money for the boy in their custody.

"Creepy ain't it? It's almost as if they knew we'd capture the kid as well." Joe admitted.

"So what do ya plan to do?"

"… Dunno. We'll keep them here for today before moving to another one of our hiding spots. Best to keep moving with such a high prized reward. Still, I wonder who'll pay more? The SDC or the White Fang for the Heiress?"

Meanwhile at the top of a roof top overlooking the abandoned iron factory, Jared and Yang were armed and ready to go.

"What do you mean we can't bust in!?"

Or maybe not.

Jared, carefully adjusting Corcea Mors on his waist, explained to Yang. "We don't know where they are inside the factory. They could be moved somewhere else or something other bad thing can happen."

"But Ruby and the others are held up by some stupid flight conflict! They won't get here in time and who knows what could happen to them! Don't you care about Jaune and Weiss?!" Yang shouted.

"I do care," Jared gripped on to Corcea Mors' handle harder before sighing. "But we need a plan. We're no help to anyone if we mess up…" Both he and Yang suddenly ducked under the roof fence as a patrol of guards circled the building.

Jared looked to Yang. "We're going to have to be stealthy about this. I counted how long the patrols last, after three minutes, we have a thirty second gap to get from here to the top of the building factory. We'll enter down through the chimney and work our way from the shadows."

"Wait, you actually timed how long those guys walk?" Yang repeated.

"Yeah, don't you?" Jared asked.

"Uhh, hold up. Did it occur to you that I'm back in my bright yellow battle gear and you're pretty much wearing your royal purple clothes? Won't we stick out in the dark?"

"Well I didn't actually think of getting my more stealth based gear when we first got our lockers. Also our stealth gear work better at night and it's still late afternoon. If we summoned our lockers here we'd be spotted, so we'll have to make do once were inside—we gotta hurry, the patrol cycle should be almost done by now." Jared slowly peeked his head out and noticed two guards finishing their round at the bottom.

Jared nodded silently to Yang before the two of them ran back and got a running start before using both of their aura to leap great bounds into the roof of the factory with no one noticing them.

Jared pointed to the chimney. "Alright, next we go into the giant chimney and—"

"Wait! Why go in there?! My hair will get all dirty." Yang whispered in a loud manner.

"Can't you just take a bath later?!" Resh also whispered/screamed while pointing accusingly at her.

"Do you have any idea what it takes to keep my hair like this?!"

"No! Don't you just shampoo it or something?!"

Behold! The saviors of the Schnee Heiress and Bloodline of the Arc Family: two people arguing about personal hygiene in loud whispers above enemy territory. Truly their safety is all but assured!

"Enough!" Jared shouted in a dry whisper. "Fine! We'll try a door that heads down, but if we get caught, I'm blaming your stupid hair!"

Yang made a mental note to get back at Resh for that later. You do not mess with a girl's hair nor call it stupid.

Which is why she stuck out her tongue and pulled her eye at Jared when he turned his head around.

Thankfully for Jared, he was able to find one of the doors that lead inside the building, but it was locked. It didn't stop him at all though. The door structure itself looked pretty weak, and Jared had experience picking locks—thanks to his countless misadventures with Xia. Jared slowly opened the door then the two snuck their way into the factory.

The two of them stalked behind the pipes and high catwalk, making sure they were in a better position to see the entire factory before stopping.

Jared quickly gathered what he could the moment he was inside the factory. Despite being abandoned, it looked as if this group of people were still using some if it's mechanics. He even saw some molten hot liquid being cooled into making Iron. It basically was an actual iron factory, but then how exactly did he not see any smoke come out of any of the chimneys? He followed the steam and smoke as they all seemed to be magnetized or attracted to one area of the factor, the place that looked to hold the office area.

Jared briefly thought of going over there to see if Jaune and Weiss were there, since whoever was absorbing all this steam and smoke might be a guard in protecting their friends. But he wasn't quite as sure since he glanced over to the opposite, lower corners of the factory and saw a rather strict looking patrol that led lower underground.

"I thought this place was abandoned." Yang noted as she saw the bustling machines and People working around.

"Some people might be using their semblances to hide this place form public eyes, which only means we have to be careful for Hunter-level criminals here," Jared warned her. "Look, I think I have two ideas where they might be," He then pointed to where all the steam and smoke were heading to. "That one seems to be where someone with a powerful semblance is. I wouldn't put it past them to make them the guard of our friends," Jared pointed to a farther corner where the soldiers seemed heavily patrolled. "However, that area seems well guarded, almost too well guarded. One of these places might be where are friends are, or it might be were the boss is."

Yang readied her shotguns. "Alright then! So I go left; you take the right!"

Jared quickly placed his hand on her shoulder. "Yang, the key is to not fight them alright? We're here to free Jaune and Weiss then escape."

"Hey! You said we could kick some butt while we're here!"

"I did, but that was before I saw the man absorbing the smoke in steam. He's been probably collecting this amount of steam and smoke for who knows how long, and it doesn't really show any signs of stopping. The person in that room at least has a powerful semblance, and not to mention we are outnumbered here," Jared took out his scroll. "Just keep your scroll ready to call me if something goes wrong and I'll do the same if trouble meets me first. Remember Yang, we're going to be stealthy about this."

"I can do stealth!" Yang whined quietly. She looked ahead at the high office room before turning to Jared. "So when do we—"

Unfortunately for Yang, Jared had already disappeared without her noticing, probably already on his way to his selected spot.

"How'd he?" Yang sighed. Was this how some guys felt when she strung them along?

Yang decided she could totally pull off being sneaky. The way Resh repeated himself over made it seem like she couldn't be sneaky. The nerve! She could totally be sneaky! Like that one time she stalked this guy back at Signal because she thought he was trying to feel up Ruby—

Yang shook her head. She would definitely show Resh up.

Yang made her way in the catwalk but made sure she was silent or moved along with the machine sounds or people shouting across the factory. It was actually a good thing this place was surprisingly busy.

As she made her way towards the office, she suddenly stopped.

Someone had walked out of the office.

As soon as the door opened, the air around them parted and revealed the stairs beneath them.

Two rather tall men came walking out. One was a rather tall giant with a muscular build wearing a suit, fedora, and sunglasses in doors for some reason. The other was only a little shorter and much thinner and lankier, but he still towered over the other men. She was off put by his long black hair tied into a pony tail and especially his green eyes that had slits for irises.

Then she realized that the two men were walking toward where Resh was supposed to be heading. Yang frantically looked toward the area, she saw all the gang members opening up already and giving way for the two big honchos.

"Ugh, he so owes me." Yang cocked her shot gun gauntlets.

She jumped off the catwalk toward the two big bosses.

She threw her fist back, "Hey! Tall, dark, and stupid!" Then fired.

Something was nudging Jaune. "Uhh… five more minutes mommy…" For some reason, he just didn't want to wake up this morning. He didn't know why, but everything felt like his face was hurting for some odd reason.

"Arc! Wake up!"

"But Mommy the dentist is evil. It did hurt when he put that drill in my mouth…"

She felt the need to restrain herself… if she wasn't physically restrained by chains already. "For the love of… Arc wake up!"

"Huh what?!" Jaune tried to stand up but felt restrained by chains. He found himself tied to a pole with Weiss. "Aww man! I can't believe I got tied to a pole again!" He thought he finally got past this after grade school.

"Focus you dunce! We've been caught by our pursuers!" Weiss hissed.

Jaune checked the room around him. There seemed to be in some dark room where there was only this coincidentally placed light bulb above them that only shone on their particular area. The place felt dry and dusty, and in a little in the distance there was a dim light leaking out what looked to be the shape of a door.

Then Jaune remembered how he came into this situation. "Right… that's why my everything hurts. You OK Weiss?"

Weiss was briefly surprised that Jaune would ask if she was alright first. "I'm fine…"

Jaune then sighed dejectedly. "Man, I'm so sorry Weiss this is all my fault."

'No Arc this is no one's fault. Don't blame yourself and help me get us out of here.' That was what Weiss wanted to say. But what exactly prevented her from saying that right away? A small back of her mind hesitated to say that.

Her more cynical part of her mind stared a really dark thought. 'If Arc is not at fault for this, then who is? Me? I did leave the others when they simply were trying to have fun. And because of my carelessness, we lost the upper hand Arc had achieved for us. … I… thought at first Ruby was not fit to be leader, but now? I'm actually dragging Arc down? No, I am a Schnee! I am not supposed to make a mistake!"

"We need to get out of here." There was more that she wanted to say, but only that came out. And it hurt her.

Before anything else, a loud boom and the floor shaking slightly caught both of the prisoners' attention.

"What was that?" Jaune asked.

More sounds followed after, there seemed to be some kind of commotion going on beyond this room.

"What the heck!?" A voice that sounded like it belonged to one of the thugs a while back screamed. "Are we under attack?! How'd someone find us?!"

"There's this blonde chick fighting the boss! Come on, we gotta assist him!"

The two captives perked up at the mention of a blonde chick. "Yang?" Weiss asked. "Is she here?"

"Heck no! You two stay here and guard the prisoners! There's just one of her anyway!" Someone yelled before half a dozen footsteps made their way away from the door.

"Oh wow," Jaune said. "Did Resh figure where we are? Even I don't know where we are. I am so glad I shouted out that hint."

"I can't believe that stupid blonde though," One of the guards obnoxiously said out loud. "One chick against all of us? How stupid is she?"

"Dunno, but I know she's smarter than you two."

Weiss and Jaune perked up at the sound of that voice.

They heard guns cocking. "Who aAAAAHHKKK!?" before they heard two grunts after several heavy thuds.

The door was kicked opened, Weiss and Jaune saw Resh carrying Corcea Mors in his waist and drawing it out.

The two captives were glad to see their friend, but the feeling dwindled when they saw the raven haired boy smirked as he looked at them. "Dang Sir? Double Pole Dancing? Aren't you taking things a little far for your first date?"

"We're not pole dancing you dingus!" Weiss shouted with a flushed face, "Get us out of here now!"

"Right!" Resh told them seriously as he raised Corcea Mors high. "Brace yourselves." Then he brought down the blade fast, cutting not only the chain but the actual steel pole in half.

The two quickly got back up and Resh handed Juane his sword and sheath, "I'm going back for Yang and helping her distract the rest of them. You two escape!" Resh called out commandingly before quickly taking out his thunder orb and locking it in his buckle.

In a flash of purple, Resh was gone, but the ground shook even harder.

"Escape!?" Jaune yelled a little too late as his friend was literally gone in a flash.

"Of course, we need to leave. We both lack the skills and equipment necessary to deal with an entire group of armed kidnappers," Weiss told Jaune. "And you heard what Kolc told us. He and Yang were just going to distract them so we could escape. Now let's go!" She claimed as she left the room with Jaune shortly following after her.

As he stepped out, he noticed he was in some kind of iron factory, which would explain some soot on a few of the thug's shoes. They must have walked by an area where they were burning coal or something. But the place was filled with smoke and some of the machines looked busted.

What was even more concerning was that fact there was this weird field over the entire factory and outside. It was the same field Jaune and Weiss saw before they were knocked out by that freakishly tall man.

"Agh!"

Jaune and Weiss looked towards the center of the factory. Both Yang and Resh were surrounded by mobsters with guns, a man who seemed to have the power to turn himself into air, and the same man that had knocked them both out.

The two looked to be in big trouble. Jaune wanted to just jump in and save them, but he thought against it… for now. He kind of liked sizing up the field around him after it seemed successful the last time—sans his slip up.

Jaune looked at the field, it appears the fighting had caused everyone to go and try to subdue Resh and Yang. And if the teleporting thing still applied to that man, escaping would still be hard with Yang and Resh distracting them.

Instead an idea formed in Jaune's head.

"Jaune, we need to leave!" Weiss whispered harshly over the machines and iron works.

Jaune turned back to her. "No, we're not leaving our team mates! Weiss I have a plan, but we need to move quick!"

"Aack!" Yang coughed briefly and wiped her eyes.

Resh held his chest piece that was recently hit. The blow was actually quite heavy, but his armor still stayed on. He turned to Yang. "… How you holding up?"

Yang coughed again. "Well… considering the tall and skinny guy had the Semblance that allows him to turn into gas, and considering since I couldn't touch him, I was doing pretty bad. I was doing worse when he started forcing steam into my lungs and tried suffocating me to death until you got me out of there, but then we were blindsided by the even bigger guy that somehow made all of his henchmen move faster and corner us here. And now? Pretty sure things are looking like crap for us."

He tilted his visor towards her. "Why did you repeat everything that just happened to us?"

"I dunno. Maybe my mind trying to compromise the lack of oxygen stolen, or I was sorta hopping you'd come up with a plan during my rant."

Resh glanced around as they all surrounded the two of them. "The big guy's semblance it has something to do with this. If we can just stop it, or we can figure out what it does…"

"Who the heck are you two?" The big man demanded rather calmly as he wiped a sore looking spot on his cheek from Yang's initial sucker punch. "And give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you here right now."

"I have several, but they're all actually sarcastic remarks that make fun your height." Resh commented dryly. "So how's the weather up there, Gigantor?"

"You should be asking gas boy over there," Yang added in as she pointed to the second hand man who turned back corporeal. "He's basically a waking gas cloud."

"For two people about to become Swiss cheese, you sure got the sharp tongue," The second in command stated coldly as he made smoke slowly surround the cornered two. "But I am curious. How did you hit me when I was intangible?" He pointed over to the armored boy.

Resh shrugged his shoulders. "Deus ex Machina?" At the back of his head, he assumed his armor had a better time reacting to other semblances due to his armor being based of aura than something actually physical, which allowed him to touch the untouchable, but basically it was the same thing really—not that he was complaining in this situation.

The green eyed man twitched. He looked towards the taller and more intimidating man.

"Do it, Boros."

The clouds suddenly snared Resh and then all seeped into his armor. Resh dropped to his knees and started coughing violently.

"That's the thing about wearing a suit of armor against me kid. It becomes your own coffin." Boros chuckled darkly.

Resh quickly tried to reach for the dust orb, but he felt his body stop moving and get stretched out like a voodoo doll. Resh's mind figured that the man must be using the smoke in his armor to even move him like a puppet!

"Resh!" Yang cried out and tried to remove his armor, but the big boss appeared in front of her almost instantly between her and Resh.

He punched her hard, forcing her back a good distance.

"That was for the sucker punch earlier back," The big man cracked his knuckles loudly. "And this… is because I dislike you."

He disappeared in an instant and Yang was smacked at the back of her head by a almost instant back hand and was sent staggering forward. She turned around and punched back, only to hit empty air.

She felt the man's towering presence behind her, and she quickly cocked Ember Celica and threw a punch right for him. He dodged the punch with almost inhuman speed despite his bulky physique. It almost didn't make any sense. How was he doing that?! It wasn't like Ruby's semblance and this weird field they were in… Resh was right it was doing something to him, but what!?

The strong man grabbed Yang's wrist and quickly whipped her to the ground like a rag doll. He did it again, and again, and again, and again, and again.

He stopped as he saw her hair starting to glow and quickly threw her away.

Yang's eyes turned red and this time she charged as fast as she could, using Ember Celica to help her, and was going to unleash all the damage she absorbed back at the big mob boss.

At least she thought she would.

With the same instantaneous speed, He avoided her charged up blow and appeared right above her—about to axe kick her.

His attack cancelled her and the gathered kinetic energy and Yang was pinned to the ground with his boot to her face.

"That looked dangerous. But it means zero of you can't hit me girly," The taller man imposed, making his posse around him laugh darkly. "Boros, kill the boy first."

"Resh—GAH!" Yang screamed, but was quickly stopped by the man pressing his boot further into her skull.

Boros smiled wickedly as he focused on to Resh, who was still coughing violently, but slightly softer due to him weakening.

"Game oveFFFFFFPPPP!"

Boros was interrupted by an instant kick to the face and was sent flying into the wall.

The thing that hit him stumbled forward and struggled with its landing. "Ack! Ack!"

Resh, free of Boros' grip, fell to the ground and quickly released his armor. Smoke came out as he gasped again for air, but resh quickly forced himself to see that it was Jaune, somehow appearing out of nowhere had just kicked Boros in the face and knocked him into the wall.

"Whoo!" Jaune claimed as he regained his balance. "Man is that how Ruby feels?" He told himself before quickly looking at Yang. "Get your filthy foot of her!" He roared drew his blade.

Yang was surprised—that was actually kind of intimidating. And her shock only continued when somehow Jaune teleported and made the big guy get off her by slashing at him and forcing him to back off, but not before there was a tear in his suit that showed he couldn't completely avoid Jaune.

Yang slowly got back up.

"You OK?" Jaune asked her and tried to help Yang.

"Did-did you just teleport?" Yang asked in disbelief.

"Later, I'm checking Resh," The blonde knight said before turning to his best friend and offering him a hand with a cocky smirk. "Way to choke under pressure, Resh. I can't believe I have to save your ass when you're supposed to be saving mine."

"… Screw you sir." Resh weakly coughed, but smiled back at Jaune before taking his hand and allowing him to have his arm slung over Jaune.

"You escaped!?" The man screamed angrily as recent events finally caught up to him, and he recovered from the shock.

Jaune glared back at the big man. "You must be Joe Capone."

"Who?" Yang and Resh asked at the same time.

Jaune explained. "Weiss recognized you. You're a crime boss, not flashy like Roman Torchwick, but your one of the top mafia families of the underworld. Police reports say you've got one amazing semblance called 'Trick Room'. That semblance has the ability to twist dimensions around this field. Basically the slower you are under this field, the faster you move, and the faster you are—the slower you are. You have you and your men all wear weights so you'd always be slower than whoever is caught in your field. It's also why Yang couldn't touch you, as long as you were under this field, you can out speed the fastest person in this room."

"Oh that is so cheap!" Yang gritted as she readied to go tussle again. "Wait a sec, how are you so fast?" She turned to Jaune.

Jaune removed his sleeves to show several weights attached to his arm. "These things are heavy, but they were pretty much left lying around here, and the speed I'm allowed sort of negates this."

"Hey where is Weiss?" Resh noticed as he looked around.

"You little punk!" Joe Capone angrily barked and interrupted Resh. "I don't care how you know all that, but you let the Heiress get away! Men, kill them!" He ordered, making the other henchmen point their guns at the three of them.

"Are you truly sure you want to do that?"

Everyone turned their heads to the top of a stopped conveyer belt. Weiss was there standing in a commanding manner.

"What part of asking you guys to escape did you not understand!?" Resh managed to scream.

"You know that was actually pretty stupid of you Ms. Schnee," Joe spoke out. "You shoulda run when you had the chance."

Weiss smirked. Suddenly loud whistles were heard throughout the factory, along with sudden sirens and fire alarms.

"Why run? This is an abandoned Shcnee Factor isn't it? These were deemed condemned when safety issues with gas leaks appeared and deemed too expensive to repair. Your second in command obviously had the semblance necessary to keep the gas regulated, but he's out cold at the moment isn't he?" The look on Joe's face was amazingly livid. "Also, you were right Arc, pushing all the unmanned machines to overload was quite the amazing idea."

"You're going to blow us sky high!?" Joe yelled.

Suddenly, Jaune wrapped Yang around him surprising the other blonde.

"That is the point, and thanks to your semblance, we have the means to get out—Jaune now!" Weiss yelled and in an instant, all four of them were out because of the twisted dimensions.

Joe gritted his teeth. "everyone, Scatter! And pick up Boros!" He roared in anger.

The moment they left the field's range outside the factory, Jaune tripped with the combined weight of three people and several weights weighing him down.

However, a bright flash of purple happened, and Jaune and the others found themselves caught up by Resh.

They all quickly got up before they raced out with Resh carrying Jaune with him being slower now.

The four got a good distance away before—

*KKKAAAABBBOOOOOMMMMM!*

The Iron factory exploded. Weiss came up and summoned a powerful glyph in front of the four.

The glyph was able to stop the force from blowing them all away, and with debris falling from the sky, it was all finally over.

Jared inhaled deeply, before taking the oxygen mask off and sighing in relief. "Well that's one way to end a date…"

After the explosion, the police came rather quickly. Since the four of them were rather tired, they were taken into police custody. As of right now, the four of them were sitting at the exit of an ambulance with Jared and Yang being given Oxygen tanks for inhaling a lot of Carbon. Jaune and Weiss were with them too, but all four of them had blankets on.

"Why are we even wearing blankets?" Jaune asked as he took a piece of it and lifted it closer to himself, yet he didn't take it off.

"They're shock blankets. You put them on people who are in shock." Weiss explained.

"But I'm not in shock. I don't think any of us are in shock… right?" Jaune looked to Jared but only got a shrug out of his son.

"Hey, I had hot smoke trapped in my armor, and I'm wearing a trench coat underneath this blanket. I'm not so sure that this is how it works, but I appreciate the thought." Jared said before continuing to inhale oxygen. "Monty, this is some good oxygen!"

"Don't we always have Oxygen?" Jaune asked.

Yang removed her mask for a second. "Yeah, but this one's great! I'm almost thinking of asking for more of these!"

"Don't please." Weiss deadpanned before sighing. "By the way… I'm sorry."

The three stopped and stared at her.

"I… I apologize for this—all of this. If I hadn't snapped at Yang, or if I had not distracted… Jaune earlier, none of this would have happened." Weiss said somberly.

"Hey!" Jaune pointed out. "Don't say that! If you weren't here, we wouldn't have known about Joe Capone who you knew before hand because he stole some of your company's goods. Actually, I should be apologizing to you guys, if I wasn't so adamant in dating Weiss, none of this wouldn't have happened…"

"Now I'm going to stop you there," Jared said after removing his mask. "Sir, you pretty much saved our asses back there by kicking Boros and Joe's ass back there when we were supposed to save you two. Look if anyone is to blame, it's me. I ruined your date in the beginning because of a selfish and dick move I did to Yang. If I wasn't so caught up in my own self pity, maybe I could have done this better."

"Your fault?!" Yang cried out in disbelief. "Who was it that was able to pin point the bad guy's location with a single sentence? Who was it that somehow can memorize patrol patterns after seeing them once? Who pretty much knew where these two," Yang motioned to both Weiss and Jaune, "—were after just a look? I'm the one who should be sorry, I got up on Ic—Weiss' business and ruined her date because I wanted to get even with Resh."

"Don't say that! I didn't even know that the two big honchos were coming my way until you engaged them! They might have caught me if you didn't do that! It's my fault for being careless." Jared claimed.

"No way, this is all my fault to begin with!" Jaune declared.

"Hey you two, like I said this was my fault!" Yang emphasized.

The three were suddenly interrupted by laughter… from Weiss, pure and honest laughter with her cheeks flushed.

"I-I'm sorry," She said before smiling, actually smiling—not a smirk, "But it sounds like that we're all at fault, but at the same time, we all pulled together. Yet it's funny we're trying to take the blame instead of the credit." She laughed again, placing her hand in front of her mouth.

"Y-Y-You're actually smiling? And laughing!?" Yang cried out in disbelief. "Who are you and what have you done to Weiss!?"

"I think I'm in love again," Jaune swooned before Jared pinched him. "OWW!"

"Someone had to make sure." Jared smugly commented to his dad.

"Excuse me!?" Weiss shrieked. "And what is that supposed to mean!? I can smile and laugh!"

"But you don't do it often, and you really look beautiful when you smile and laugh." Jaune bluntly complimented her.

The sheer honesty of that caused Weiss to look away. None of the three could see her face, but from Jared's angle he could even see her ear turn red. "Y-You… t-thank you for the c-compliment…" She said a little softly but tried to compose herself. "An-Anyway!" She turned back a little more composed but there was still a faint rosy tint on her pale skin. "We need to get our stories straight! We have to be as detailed as possible in explaining what we saw about the mob to the police! The faster the Capone family is put behind bars, the better!"

Jared saw the oblivious look on his dad, but noticed the 'curious' look on Yang's features. Deciding to help out Weiss, he quickly inhaled his gas tank and exhaled in relief loudly. "MAN! This is really some good oxygen!" He said quickly.

Jaune looked at him. "Really? It's that good? Can I try?"

Jared pulled away from his best friend mockingly. "Hey this is my bottled oxygen! I didn't see you get Carbon Dioxide shoved down your lungs! Get your own!"

"Hey I saved your life! I totally want to try!" Jaune demanded.

"I freed you in the first place!" Jared rebutted.

"You only freed me because I gave you a hint!"

"You only gave me a hint because I taught you how to find them!"

"Oh come on! Let me have some!" Jaune finally demanded and tried to grab the mask from Jared.

"Stay back! I still have incriminating photos of you!"

"Did somebody say, 'incriminating photos'?" Yang curled up a Cheshire grin. "So what's this juicy secret you got, Skater boy?"

Jaune leered solemnly at Jared. "You wouldn't dare…"

He dared.

The three, even Weiss, laughed at Jaune's expense, and while he expressed a rather impressive explanation, at the back of his head even he was enjoying this.

{Author Notes.}

This was… surprisingly hard to write.

Sorry if there are mistakes. I'm in a bit of a hurry, so I had less time to look over things.

I promise to fix some editing mistakes later.

Edit: OK it's later.

First off, I love how the fight turned out, even though it was very different how I first imagined it. I was waiting to reveal Joe's Semblance which is basically the Pokemon move: Trick room!

For those of you that don't know (How?) Trick room is a pokemon move that allows the slowest Pokemon to move first. I think that would have made an excellent semblance here if I just tweaked it a little.

I'm also sorry for those expecting yang to use the Armor this time, but I couldn't make it fit for me here, sorry.

I can't wait for the up coming chapters, I'm finally going to start building up to my plan!

And we've just reached the halfway point of season 1! ... WHOO? ... oh this is going to be a long one...

Thanks for reading!
