{Author Notes/Announcement}

Hey dudes. Sorry about that last chapter. Last time I wanted to try and make something unique, but as I slaved over it, I decided I probably sucked at it and just decided to put my own personal twist into things.

Also, sorry for this being late, I was having fun writing my other major fic: "Pokémon: Anto's Bizarre Adventure." (AND FREAKING TESTS AND FINALS SUCK! BECAUSE I AM NOT ACADEMICALLY INCLINED!)

I know, shameless plug, but that story is for laughs and has one of my takes on a Pokémon Journey. I would appreciate feedback on it. It's way more light hearted and fun than this one.

And while I'm putting a shameless plug, here's another one!

I have an upcoming new fic based off Avatar the Last Airbender, Legend Of Korra, and RWBY crossover!

It might start as a one shot, but if I get enough support, it's becoming a story! It's also an AU and something tells me that I think you might enjoy it if you like this story.

Quick thanks to College Fool again for the tips. I am seriously grateful for what he's done for me, so go read his works! It's way better than me.

"… Is this the place?"

"Well come now: big, ol' wall with somewhat faded symbols I for some reason can't understand? I think it's safe to assume this counts as a textbook—ahaha! Textbooks… sorry—yep. It's the prophecy we're lookin for and it shouldn't take too long to translate…"

"? … You might wanna hurry it up. I think we've been spotted."

"And that's what you're here for: standing around making sure I do my thing and overall look clever about it while I'm doing it."

"Sure, while I actually do the heavy lifting between the two of us. When you get past all the fancy balderdash, I finding out you're a little more crazy than smart."

"Now you make that sound like a bad thing!"

"You know I was joking, Smithy. We both know that you know that I know that you're crazy, and we both know that I like it cause I'm like it too."

"Aww you… now go off and fight the killer evil trees before they reach me. … One of these days, I swear wood will be the end of me…"

"Ah~'

"Hmm.~"

"Ahh!~"

*SLAM!*

"Kyah!" The girl yelped in panic after being interrupted from her 'studies'.

"Dang it Percy!" Thirteen old Jared Arc complained to his older brother. "Stop seducing other females to moan so loudly!"

The surprisingly hot brunette girl picked up her jacket and blouse and quickly ran out of the room.

The eighteen year old with red hair and green eyes much like their mother's turned dejectedly at his younger brother. "Really Jay? I was in the middle of something!"

"I know, and it was distracting my science homework."

A loud roar and snarl was heard across from the older brother's room.

The older brother stared at his younger sibling. "Did you interrupt my date because of a captured Grimm?! How did you capture a Grimm and bring it in your room!?"

"Well if you weren't busy skirt chasing like you usually do, you would have noticed how I dragged it up to my room."

"Not a real answer, Jay." Percy leered at his younger brother. Seriously, it was like he could get into any situation unimagined or that no one would even think of.

"Mr. Port said—"

Percey raised a hand in front of his brother's face. "Hold up! How the heck do you know my professor at Beacon? You just started Signal!"

Jared scoffed. "Duh! I listened to your notes in your Audio recorder that you use to record your oral notes, so you can actually spend class time making flirty faces with the girls in your class. You also use it to show off in study sessions such as these to trick the girls into thinking you're some super genius when you actually slack off during school and come home to work."

Percy just stared at his brother. Where the heck did his brother's eccentric personality come from? Spending too much time with Xia?

"Who said you could use my audio recorder?" Percy demanded.

"You did. I asked you while you were making out with that bluenette last week."

"What!? I didn't say that!"

"Well, duh! You were distracted, so you pretty much agreed to whatever I said to get me to go away. … By the way, you owe me a thousand Lien and a can of actual earth worms for Xia."

"I'm not getting you those things!" Percy screamed as he pushed his brother out of his room. "And what does Xia want with—oh no! I am not getting caught up in whatever plan that psycho girlfriend of yours has in for next week."

"Why does everyone assume Xia's my girlfriend?" Jared innocently asked.

"Dude, Auntie Nora and Uncle Ren started out the same way you and Xia did! The point is… get out!" Percy screamed.

Suddenly a loud metal crunching/tearing noise echoed throughout the house.

It was followed by a loud snarling noise.

"… You meant me out of your room, and not the Beowolf getting out of his cage, right?" Jared calmly asked his brother as the Beowolf in question walked out into the hall and glanced over to the two brothers.

"Why couldn't we be a normal family? I heard Mom's family was pretty normal…" Percy muttered. He was starting to remember an ancient eastern curse, 'May you live in interesting times'.

The Beowolf pounced.

When their mom came in, she was quite horrified to see their house broken up as if it went through a storm! What was even more disconcerting were the gashes and slashes that looked like they belonged to a beowolf!

"Kids!?" She cried out as she ran in, looking for her two sons.

She then heard hushed screams.

"…y fault!? Who was it that brought that thing here in the first place!?"

"You and that weird girl kept distracting me! I couldn't put enough tranquilizing agent into the shot and dull it's claws!"

"You're blaming me making out with a girl caused this!?"

"Yes!"

The mother turned to the kitchen, which was half flooded, to see her two sons with their weapons armed and a fading Beowolf body.

Both sons looked toward their mother's horrified look in her eyes, and saw the horror and shock slowly turn to anger and frustration.

Percy pointed. "IT WAS ALL JARED—"

Unfortunately for the older brother, the younger one, in a strange mental state, deactivated his aura and knocked himself out cold with a frying pan.

Percy wondered what was going on until his Mom, the undefeated champion, loomed and turned all of her anger towards the elder son. Then he realized this meant that his younger brother had found an unorthodox way to escape her wrath.

"Percy, what is going on?" The bloodlust behind those words actually made the disintegrating Grimm vanish faster.

Later on, the two were grounded for a year, but the elder brother later realized that his younger brother knocked himself unconscious to avoid the initial onslaught of their mom…

… And somehow pulled the same trick when their dad came home.

Oh that brother of his, why was he so different from their family?

"What are these?" Jaune took the strange objects and lifted them up.

"Boxing gloves, Sir. Put them on." Jared explained as he used his teeth to tighten the strings on a pair of purple boxing gloves.

It was early morning, but Jared decided today's training exercise was going to be different. Jared decided instead of just doing the same routines, they were going to mix up his morning trainings. After all, Jared had seen a lot of commercials claiming that exercise stops being progressive if it's the same thing over and over because your body gets used to the building, so you have to mix things up.

This morning's training was…

"I'm sorry. Repeat that?"

Jared hopped consecutively with one foot at a time to keep himself limber. "We're going to spar. I've heard that Pyrrha is saying your swordplay and other Combat forms are going in nicely. I wanted to see how well you're doing at that, and maybe add something to it."

Jaune fixed his gloves and looked at them weirdly. It was technically his first time wearing a pair. "I don't know about this—WHOA!" Jaune yelped as he ducked under a flying crescent kick. "I wasn't ready, you jerk!"

"I know!" Jared smiled as he hopped forward, right foot forward first before spinning on that heel then right in to a reverse round house.

Jaune jumped back. "You aren't even throwing a freaking punch!"

"That's because I like kicks!" Jared exclaimed before jumping after Jaune and reclining his right fist and throwing it hard right towards Jaune's face.

Jaune stepped back then saw a tree behind him crack from the impact of Jared's punch.

'Ugh, Resh, I don't know if I should be amazed or horrified that you always finds new ways to make me almost crap my pants…' Jaune thought to himself before readying himself.

"Come on sir! Use the Aura solidifying technique I showed you! Even with your Aura, your hits can hurt like six-sevenths of Yang's strength at best!" Jared cried.

The purple clad boy jumped then feinted an air punch, which made Jaune put his guard up on accident. Jared landed then stepped forward with a rising upper low uppercut. Jaune saw it coming and staggered back, barely dodging the blow, but feeling the strong rush of air as the strike missed him.

"Come on sir!" Jared taunted as Jaune recomposed himself. "Just think of this as Pyrrha's training, only she wants to jump your bones with every strike!" It was truly such a shame only Jared had all these inside jokes he couldn't share.

Jaune's mind, for some reason, put Resh's character into Pyrrha's lovely body.

What he didn't know was in that one moment he shivered in disgust, Jared closed the distance and brought a punch to his face—

"… Uhh…" As he slowly regained the ability to identify colors, and shapes, he happened to see the light blue morning sky, and a boy around his age looking at a stop watch.

"Four minutes of unconsciousness… not bad. Let's see if we can cut that down to two minutes." Jaune just had to wake up to that devilish grin and those blood colored eyes.

She walked down the hallways, reading her latest Grimmology project: they had to find a new weakness on already existing Grimm. She choose to focus her project on the Nevermore since Avian Grimms were always seen in the skies above there was not much time or effort put into finding the weakness of the creature before either the hunter or the king of the skies died.

After all, just because they were undercover doesn't mean she should by any means fail in studies. Beacon still offered a vast arsenal in sharpening one's mind and physical abilities.

She always liked being studious, being diligent. Secretly, she enjoyed being praised for her hard work; it gave her a warm and fuzzy feeling.

'Hey beautiful~ you're under arrest for trying to hide such a beautiful face behind a book!'

She shook her head and palmed her face with one of her hands since the other was holding a text book. She felt her face flush when she remembered how she first met him.

'Hey… The name is Jaune, Jaune Arc. Short and sweet and the ladies love it!'

She needed to focus. She has stayed almost three years in Beacon without making a single mistake, and she shouldn't let her past run rampant now.

But… they both had the same kind eyes…

"Aww come on! I put Ten Lien in you and you still won't give me my soda!?"

She recognized that voice. She snapped her head around the corner and saw him shaking the vending machine violently before sighing and banging his head on the machine pitifully.

The target was all alone, no Fifth member, no watchful eyes, no cameras in the immediate vicinity—hidden or not—they had double checked, and he isn't even armed…

Her free hand reached for her Prism Sword, but she hesitated as she touched the hilt.

He banged his head again at the screen.

She sighed, relaxing, and closing her book before walking up to him.

"Jaune?"

He turned, looking surprised to see her here of all places. "H-Hemera! W-what are you doing here?"

'Uhh… hey beautiful! … Think you can help me down from this ceiling fan? The glue gun directions were—heheh—kind of hard?'

She couldn't help but smile. "I was on my way to the library. Then I heard a mysterious sound of a blonde head banging on plastic glass."

He blushed the rubbed the back of his head. "Err, yeah. This stupid machine steals money…" He did a rather intimidating glare, too bad it was towards an inanimate object.

Hemera looked over to the machine then tilted her head. "Jaune, it's not plugged in."

Jaune looked over and saw a rather obvious plug not placed in a socket. He sighed before plugging it in and stepping back in front of the machine.

For some reason, he swore a vending machine wasn't supposed to shake so violently. eh

"Um, Jaune…"

She couldn't finish with the vending machine blasting the unsuspecting first year with a stream of aluminum.

Hemera quickly ran toward the accumulated pile of Co-Pep-La.

"Jaune are you alright?!" She asked as she started pushing away the brand soda whose slogan was ironically 'The Drink That Packs a Punch!'

She fished Jaune out of the pile and helped him up and found herself dusting him off.

Jaune coughed. "Err… thanks Hemera…"

"You need to be more careful, a hunter must always be on guard," She recited as she fixed his tie.

"Even against evil vending machines?" Jaune asked with a small chuckle.

Hermera lightly chuckled with him as she finished fixing his tie. "Especially against evil… vending… machines…"

She made a mistake.

She looked into his eyes, those same warm, ocean blue eyes. Why did he have to have the same eyes as him? Why was he looking into her light green ones with the familiar sense of worry and empathy?

She was close to him, too close.

"Sorry," She lightly pushed him away instinctively. Her mind lurched and reprimanded her immediately at the action.

"N-no, no!" Jaune cried out with a blush on his face and waving his hands out. "I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable!"

"… Thank you for saying that… but I have to go now," She opened her book again. "Try not to incur the wrath of a toaster next time I see you."

Jaune laughed weakly before waving goodbye to his Senpai.

However, he nor did Hemera notice that a certain red head was hiding behind another corner after seeing her partner so close to the face of another girl.

Jaune didn't know what today was all about.

He felt off somehow.

And it wasn't just this morning with Hemera that was just weird.

He wanted to help CRDL, but Resh was helping out with some other Freshmen in a different course he was taking from the rest of his friends and team.

Ah wait, now he knew why he was feeling off.

One of those drinks got under his—hey is that Weiss over there? … Is she napping on a random bench beneath a tree?

"…"

Jaune blushed. She looked so peaceful and beautiful asleep under a tree. He looked at her lap and saw that there was an open textbook. Did she fall asleep while studying? … That… that was kind of adorable.

Jaune looked around he didn't see anyone around, and he didn't exactly want to leave her alone.

Maybe… he could stay? Just watch her until he wakes up? I mean, what if a leaf fell into her mouth and made her cough awake?

What? It happened a lot to him before!

Jaune decided to just sit down a little farther away from her and just wait beside her until she woke up. After all, he didn't really want to wake her peaceful sleep.

He sat some space between her. He looked at her again, really gazing at how beautiful she was under the gentle sun and shadows of the trees. A small piece of her hair was out of place on her forehead, so Jaune calmly and gently made the hair piece go back behind her ears.

However, that slight touch, de-balanced Weiss and she started to lean towards him.

Thinking quickly, Jaune scotched toward her, making her fall and land on his shoulder instead of the wood.

But now he was really, really close to her. He blushed furiously having Weiss's hair literally under his nose and she smelled really, really, really good. Jaune found himself conflicted. He wanted to leave or wake her up, but his more empathizing side thought it would be rude to disturb her at such a state. But the more logical part of his brain said that if they wouldn't disturb her slumber, she would get mad and attack Jaune! Then Jaune's fearful side pointed out just calling her to wake up in general will cause her to attack him whether left alone or not.

Basically he was trapped in a good position that will turn bad fast in the next few seconds.

So here Jaune was having the girl of his dreams resting her nice smelling head on his shoulder and snuggling close into his neck, which was really not helping Jaune's decision making skills.

'Man! How do I get out of this situation!? Jaune wondered.

It just couldn't get any worse than this.

Jaune tried to gently look around to ask for anyone for help, but as he turned his head away from Weiss, his blue eyes came to meet with silver ones.

Ruby was blushing with her hands covering her mouth. "I am SO sorry!" She mouthed silently.

"Wait—no! Ruby!" Jaune screamed in very, very hushed whispers. "It's not what it looks like!" He mouthed.

"It isn't?" Ruby asked before placing her hands on her mouth for normally saying that. For a second, Ruby thought that Weiss was on another date with Jaune. That was a relief… wait, why was that a relief?

Weiss muttered, "Dunce…" and snuggled closer to Jaune's neck this caused The Knight-in-training great stress to fight the urge to shiver in surprise.

"Heeeyyy…" Ruby whined. Weiss was still insulting her in her sleep, which was totally not cool. And she was totally making pour Jaune really uncomfortable! I mean she taught people said she wore too much red? Jaune was obviously beating her in the red department as of right now.

"Help me!" Jaune mouthed to his fellow leader.

Ruby nodded.

Ruby inhaled.

"Weiss, wake up!"

Jaune was stunned.

Weiss woke up.

Weiss saw herself on Jaune.

Weiss jumped to conclusions!

Jaune snapped out of confusion!

"Wait, We—"

"I am SO sorry, Jaune!" Ruby apologized to Jaune who had his body, but his head, frozen solid on the bench..

"I-i-i-it's n-n-not y-yo-your fff-f-fault, Ru-Ruby…" Jaune shivered but tried to comfort Ruby despite the fact, he was the one desperately in need of comfort.

Or freedom from being frozen.

Meh.

"This is all your fault!" Weiss cried as she pointed to Ruby with a flushed face. "Why did you wake me up like that?!"

"Hey! You were the one bothering Jaune, froze him, and now your blaming me?!" Ruby defended herself.

"G-Guys d-d-don't fi-fight…" Jaune muttered.

"Why were you even sleeping in the first place!? You scold me when I do it!" Ruby accused.

"First of all, I was not taking a nap, I was merely resting my eyes! Second, you sleep during class!" Weiss exclaimed.

"Why were you 'resting your eyes' on Jaune's neck!?"

"T-That's not the point! You made me freeze him!"

"C-Can we j-just g-get m-m-me out p-lease?" Jaune managed to force out slightly loudly, making the two girls shatter the cold and free the blonde boy.

He was glad he was out. He was starting to have frost bite where he didn't think he could get frost bite. "T-Thanks." Jaune shivered.

Weiss sighed. "I apologize for my leader's bluntness in causing you distress."

"Hey! I thought you said you would respect me!" Ruby whined..

"I do, but the smaller things you need to refine in…" Weiss .

Being a little warmer now, Jaune's speech was slowly restored. "Calm down girls, it was just an accident. Besides, it's sort of my fault in the first place for getting myself in that situation… sorry girls."

"Well in that case," Weiss interjected quickly. "I will be on my way for my next class." She said before making a rather abrupt leave.

"Man! Why does Weiss have to be so cold?" Ruby helped up Jaune. "I can't believe she's my partner at times."

"Weiss is actually pretty cool."

"Easy for you to say, Vomit Boy," Ruby smirked. "Everyone knows about your crush on her."

"Watch it, Crater Face." Jaune returned.

The smaller girl elbowed him in the ribs. "Hey! You can only say those things because you've got two cool partners!"

"Huh? Two?" The knight repeated.

"Yeah, Pyrrha and Resh. Resh is pretty much considered your unofficial partner. And I'd rather have one of them than Weiss…"

"Have you seen Resh?" Jaune asked in awe. "I will not stop trying to convince people he is a spawn of a Grimm!"

"But he only treats you like that! He's still a pretty cool and laid back guy!"

"I think the same could be said about Weiss." Jaune pointed out, causing the red themed girl to pout.

Ruby exhaled, remembering how Yang has been a little easier on her white themed member of her group. From what she could gather, they had all bonded well from their group date, but Jaune was no longer seeking a romantic relationship with Weiss, even though Ruby could sometimes detect some one sided crush coming from the group doofus.

"Ugh, sometimes I wish we could switch partners then." She said in an annoyed manner.

"You'd think as leaders, we'd have more power over our teammates instead of them over us huh?" Jaune pointed out before chuckling, causing Ruby to grin and laugh as well.

"Achoo!" Jaune sneezed before sniffing his nose. "Aww man…" His voice sounded stuffy. It looked like he was starting to get a cold.

Ruby grabbed his wrist, "Come on, Vomit Boy, I'll treat you to some hot chocolate." She said before bringing him along with a huge smile on her face.

Meanwhile, as Weiss was walking down the halls, she struggled to calm herself and get the flush off her face.

This was mostly because her face felt a little hotter than usual due to placing her cheeks into something obviously warm. She palmed her face and tried to fight down the blush.

"Ohhh…" Ruby cooed as she drank some milk chocolate with those tiny marshmallows in them. She was sitting across from Jaune in the cafeteria. Jaune had just finished re telling his version of how the date went.

Ruby knew the actual basics from the story from Weiss and her sister, both having their own spin on it. Surprisingly it was Resh who seemed to tell the honest truth about the date when he was asked later that day after they came back, but now Jaune was telling his side of the story.

She chuckled as he tried to make himself look more amazing that he probably was… in the beginning, but then he started honestly complimenting the others and how he himself probably wasn't that great. Ruby argued against it, and Jaune agreed as he finished the last part of the story right before he tired to test what the Oxygen tanks feel like.

However, there was one small part he, and the others, left out.

"So… what exactly were the incriminating photos Resh had on you?"

"They were fabricated!" Jaune cried out, "I do not suck my thumb!"

"… I didn't say that you suck your thumb." Ruby pointed out while failing to keep a smile down.

Jaune felt like banging his face into the table for letting it slip. So he did.

"So… thumb sucker?"

"Resh just placed my hand into my mouth and took a picture! I do not suck my thumb anymore! I stopped doing that when I was eight!"

Ruby giggled. Jaune was really not helping himself here.

Funny enough, after Resh revealed the secret to the two girls, he asked them not to tell anyone else. Yang at first asked why, but then Resh revealed the reason why was so that the two girls could have leverage over Jaune, much to the disbelief of the current Arc in training.

"I can't believe I was the one to reveal that when Resh told everyone else not to say anything…" jaune whined.

"Hey come on, I promise to keep it a secret."

"Can you also promise not to use it as black mail material?"

"…"

Ruby just drank her hot coco while breaking eye contact with Juane. I mean it would have been the heroic thing to make such a promise, buuuutttt then again, this was payback for creating Crater Face.

"I. Hate. Resh." Jaune groaned. It looked like even Ruby wouldn't dare pass up the opportunity of a free favor from Jaune. What was worse was that no one was using it, so he just kept waiting for them to use it as blackmail for some unspeakable horror.

Ruby giggled. It was fun to talk to someone every once in a while. Weiss spent her time trying to correct her into what she thought an 'adequate' leader would be. Blake was pretty quiet. And her sister… was her sister.

It was pretty cool spending time with just her and Jaune alone.

Just her and him without anybody else.

Ruby subconsciously wondered if this was like how Yang's dates were since she would spend some time alone with a guy.

And here she was drinking hot coco alone with a nice guy and having fun talking with him, which isn't actually how Yang has dates…

Jaune looked at the time. "Well, I gotta go. I have a study session with my team. Thanks for treating me to some hot coco, it was fun Ruby."

"Yeah! We should do it again sometime!" Ruby cried out faster than her mind could realize what she said.

"Definitely! See ya soon Rubes!" Jaune stood up and waved good bye to his fellow leader. Ruby happily did the same.

As Jaune left, Ruby decided to continue her own work in being a better leader by being getting closer with WeisDID SHE JUST ASK JAUNE OUT ON A DATE?! WHAT NO, IT WASN"T A DATE! WAS IT!? BUT THEY SPENT TIME TOGETHER ALONE!? DOESN'T THAT COUNT AS A DATE?! AND WHY WAS SHE SCREAMING IN HER OWN HEAD!?

It didn't help that Ruby, during her teenage mental crisis, actually did a spit take while drinking hot coco and spat her hot drink into some poor, unlucky sob walking by—it was Ms, Goodwitch on her break.

Jaune made his way towards the library, but he was wondering why sudden increases of people were leaving the cafeteria hurriedly with worried look on their faces.

As he did, he was able to spot someone familiar in the distance. It was Pyrrha his partner, and despite recognizing her amazing presence probably even a mile away, he noticed a sad look in her face as she made her way towards the training grounds.

Jaune figured the others could wait. A friend looked like she needed help.

A little later, and inside the training grounds...

Pyrrha fought amazingly against the practice drones, but despite her graceful form, she wasn't paying complete attention to the fight.

She recalled earlier this morning when she saw Jaune with one of their upper classmen. It must have been a misunderstanding, it should have been with the kind of person Jaune is and with his crush on Wiess…

Speaking of which, why did she feel relieved that the date almost got the four of her friends killed?

And why did she run away from that event in the morning?

Why did she not step forward and ask what had happened? It seemed simple enough, and the worst case would simply be the two of them…

Wait… why was that so bad?

All these questions and she didn't understand why she had them or how to answer them. She slashed a training drone in quick succession before it fell, ending the first training wave.

"Wow."

"Jaune?" The red headed girl asked. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, aren't we going to go to a study session into a new team maneuver? Nora wanted us to base something off the recent zombie slayer movie we watched."

"Ahh. Yes," She complied. "Just let me put away my gear."

Jaune nodded but then asked her something. "Are you alright?"

"Hmm? I am alright, why do you ask? If you mean by the drones, it was really nothing too strenuous."

"Pssh, I know you're good at that Pyrrha! You're like the best fighter in Beacon!" Jaune praised, but Pyrrha was a little sad to hear that because he was starting to sound like her fans.

Jaune then relaxed at little. "But umm, I asked that because you looked a little sad. Is something wrong?"

Pyrrha blinked. "Umm right."

The reason why I'm sad is because of you.

"The reason why I'm sad is because I feeling a little homesick." Pyrrha fibbed. She did miss home only slightly, but there wasn't really much to miss back there in the first place besides her family.

"Oh," Jaune absorbed the information. "Why don't you give a phone call to your parents?" Secretly he pushed back the thoughts of his family.

"I will later," She dismissed. "So are we going to meet with the others now? Let me just change back into my uniform."

"Kay, I'll wait for you here."

"You don't need to do that Jaune."

"But I want to, you're my friend." He smiled simply. The invincible girl could feel heat rising up in her cheeks.

Pyrrha looked away bashfully but the blonde leader didn't notice. "I'll be quick then."

A little later, the two of them were walking down the hall, and Jaune was talking about his day.

The red headed girl was relieved to hear that her earlier misconceptions about Jaune and their upper classmen were false. But it really bothered her that she could have simply asked this about him upfront without having to wait around while sulking.

The more she thought about it, the more embarrassing it really seemed. Pyhrra was a girl who could literally do anything if she wanted. She got perfect grades, amazing skill sets, was rich thanks to her career in winning tournaments, and while she didn't want to seem vain, she had to admit by some fans that she was beautiful.

So why is it, the fierce, undefeated champion of Mistrial, was so fearful around her blonde goofball partner.

She admitted that he was actually kind of cute when she first saw him walking with Resh then had to stop when she saw the raven haired boy seemingly sensed her.

She became even happier when she found out that Jaune barely knew about her fame. She even found it endearing that he would recognize her by a cereal box that wasn't all that good. Now that they were teams, she enjoyed having a great time with all her new and wonderful friends in both RWBY and JNPR.

So why was it that being around him made her so nervous and freeze up? Why was it that she really enjoyed those times at night when Jaune and her were training alone where they would sometimes talk about either formations or nothing at all for hours? Why was it that she felt sad whenever Jaune would talk about Weiss, and why did she felt happy when he stopped talking about her?

Wait… was that jealousy? Was she jealous of Weiss? Of Hemera?

But if she was feeling jealous, wouldn't that imply that she…

To be fair, Pyrrha wasn't completely sure about her feelings, which was quite a stressful ordeal since it was her first time.

Before she could think more about this, they two of them had entered into their team room to find their other three members eating popcorn and watching another movie about a giant super, over the top, man in a suit that can fire laser beams versus a giant super lizard that can also shoot lasers and roared a lot.

"Whoo! Go DeityZilla! Crush that puny BigMan!" Nora whooped as she ate some popcorn.

Ren was seemingly reading a book, and paying little attention to the moive, but he did raise his head to look at his two team mates.

Resh smiled and came up to the two with drinks at hand. "Sup leader and technically co leader, Nora was being extra hyper today, so I had to trick her into watching another movie marathon. Think we can wait a bit on that fighting plan?"

Jaune took a drink while Pyrrha politely accepted it.

"I'm all game," Jaune sighed in relief, much to the red eyed boy's amusement.

"You didn't even start today, did you?" Resh asked.

"… So what are you guys watching?" Jaune asked as he sat on his bed nearby Ren and Nora.

Pyrrha couldn't help but smile, but then saw Resh patting her shoulder.

The boy smirked and whispered. "Go sit with him. He won't mind at all, and I know he'll enjoy your company."

The goddess of victory hesitated but blushed at the advice from the mysterious wanderer.

Shyly, she took her drink and did sit down with Jaune, who was also getting into the movie along with Nora.

Pyrrha slightly reflected once more as Jaune, like a child, tried to get her excited for this old movie. (Then started an argument with Nora because he believed BigMan would win.)

She had no idea what was going on with her and Jaune, or what would happen in the future, but she was very glad that at this moment she was his partner and her best friend.

But she had to admit…

DeityZilla looked stronger than a big guy in a jumpsuit.

Snarls and roars were heard that echoed in the dark and foggy chambers.

"I see… so the two wanderers were seen there. Have they been captured or killed?"

A loud, piercing shriek was the response.

"… I suppose not. Those two have alluded me for centuries, so killing them now would be too easy… but what exactly are they after? They are always spotted in the ancient lands of Drago. A fitting name since it's landmass was always shaped as a dragon."

Another unseen creature stalked in, slithering and breathing in hushed gasps.

"Ahh, welcome home young one. To what do I owe this lovely visit?"

It hissed.

"…. What? You found HIM?" A dark smile slowly appeared.

The unseen creature confirmed this.

"Send a scouting party enroute to this area. No. Send several of them towards this area, from different parts of Remnant. He must be found! Ooo… we will be reunited soon my love… just wait for me a little longer… and there will be no wanderers to stop us this time!"

{Author Notes}

You know, I've always been a fan of the BlakeXJaune pairings here in fanfiction. But for some reason, I also seem to enjoy the conversations between Weiss and Jaune. (Actually, I enjoy people just… talking normally for some reason.) I assume that a majority of fans have come to the conclusion that the two might never get together in Cannon, but as I kept writing them, I found it pretty fun to pair the loveable country bumpkin to the cold, prim, and proper Heiress.

Wait a sec…

Now that I squint my eyes a bit… Jaune with any pairing almost seems to fit…

With Pyrrha: The talentless with the talented.

With Ruby: Heroes sharing the same dreams and beliefs.

With Blake: Happy innocence helping to give hope to cynical misery.

With Yang: Someone extraordinary with someone so plain. (A bit like pyrrha's but more… wild I guess)

Weird how shipping works if you take some to look at it.

I think I'm looking way into this.

Anyway, shipping aside, this chapter is mostly filler due to the fact I'm trying to somehow write my story along the lines of things I want to do, and things that I type out. One would think they are the same, but you'd then be proven wrong.

So for now, take this chapter as Jaune building up more relationships with the fine ladies of the RWBY universe who I am convinced are all descendants of models.

I mean, there is still the thing about Jaune marrying a fine woman in the late future and there is a reason for it in this story. (Who said it was going to be a good reason? HA. HA. HA. HA. —*Fake Cough*)

Also, while I am on this subject, I can't help but feel that the parents and the current RWBY characters are similar in some way…

I keep thinking Jaune is Taiyang. Why? Well Pyrrha likes him and there might be a hint in Ruby liking him too(?) (I am sort of thinking Ruby might have a small crush on him unless I've been completely been over reading hints like a majority of fans do.)

I dunno, for some reason I expect something bad to happen to Pyrrha and then Ruby would have a love interest or something and ultimately repeat the process of Summer Rose… which now that I think about would suck a lot if that cycle repeats.

Welp that's all for now, so enjoy the review responses, some extras that I deleted, and thank you for taking time to read this story.

Cerberus13 (Ch12): I have something in mind when Teams JNPR and (RWBY) meet with the Pandora. Let's just say… the Pandoras themselves know they are weak. As for ETHR and CRDL… well… that's too fun to even spoil with a hint.

THE-Twilight-BlazeKnight (Ch12):

College Fool (Ch12): OK noted. I'll keep those in mind next time. Thanks again for the great feed back which I'll try to incorporate more into the story.

Solomon07 (Ch12): Hopefully, this chapter shed some light on her relationship with Jaune: He reminds her of someone. I do have some plans I hope I can work in later into the story about team ETHR.

mastermind (Ch12): Wait, how can Jared be his own grampa when he is right there living with his dad, and his grampa is also still alive? Joke, I get what you mean, but if I took that story in that kind of route, the plot would be more confusing than Doctor Who. (Still a great show, but I don't recommend thinking about it too much.)

Tobi (Ch12): The Pandora Grimm is a representation or reflection of my own personal depressed feelings really… yeah, I'm pretty alright mentally and emotionally, but I am subjected to thoughts of depression, more than the average person, but less than a depressed person. Basically it represents how bad someone can live a life. As for the highest fanfiction story you suggest, I'll check it out one day.

Benthino (Ch12): Uhh, I think you misunderstand. While it would be tempting to actually do a Metal Gear/RWBY crossover like that there is one major problem to it: I know nothing about Metal Gear Lore except from some bits from Super Smash Brawl. Unfortunately, you'll have to make do with that poor excuse for an Avatar the Last Airbender/RWBY crossover I made.

dragoon109 (Ch12): OK… umm over all, I think I just got more confused out of our conversation. I might have misread something, but I'll try to keep… what you said on mind? Maybe? I probably read things wrong…

dracohalo117 (Ch12): Well, at least we know they are planning A PLAN! *Cricket Noises* … basically they are planning something quite complex? Maybe? Who can say where the road goes~?

ThePhengophobicGamer (Ch12): Mwahaha! Then prepare yourself random reader! For Disappointment is all one can expect from this story! MWAHAHAAHA! #JoinTheDarkSide #WeHaveCookies #RubyIdidn'tOfferThisToYou

[Re Edited/Deleted Scene: What if it wasn't Ruby that found Jaune and Weiss?]

He saw Jared standing a few feet away from him holding out his scroll pointed to the two of them.

"You bastard." Jaune mouthed to the black haired boy in uniform whose only response was to smile that would put Yang to shame.

"I will kill you if you take a picture of this!" Jaune silently mouthed again.

Jared silently mouthed words as well. "Strike me down, and I shall only become stronger! MWAHAHAHA!" He threw his head back and pretended to do an Evil Laugh without the sound. It clearly ticked Jaune off, but he had to restrain himself from disturbing Weiss.

"Fine you son of Grimm, now get me out of here!" Jaune mouthed angrily.

"Don't act like you're not enjoying it…" The twinkle in his eye was unmissable. It was like he was a female version of Yang sometimes.

"… Did you really think we're doing this for your torture, kiddo?"

"What!? Yes! Why the heck would you put me in the past!?"

"Kiddo… you're in the past not just for us, but for yourself."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Redemption kiddo, not all of your futures are bright."
