Chapter 23: Resolved
Amber's Prov
6 months later...
I walked up to the door and knocked lightly "Aunt Anna?" I said poking my head around. She was 6 months pregnant but yet still looked amazing! When Mama told the kingdom everyone started to bring supplies up to the castle it's kind of weird because the spare room, next to Aunt Anna's and Uncle Kristoff's, that I would sometimes use to practice my powers, had all baby stuff in it for the new arrival of my baby cousin. When Aunt Anna went to her last check up the royal doctor asked if she wanted to know what she is having but she said no, Uncle Kristoff was annoyed about that but is getting on with it.
"Amber come in" she smiled. I walked in and sat on the bed next to her.
"What are you doing?" I asked seeing the notebook and pen in her hand.
"Thinking of names for the baby. Want to help?"
"Of course! I've always loved the name Destiny and for a boy I've always liked Andreas."
"There really nice name Amber." She said whilst writing them down.
"What did Uncle Kristoff say?"
"Well we haven't disgusted it he's at work with Sven at the moment so I guess I will ask him when he returns"
"Why does he work if we live in a castle and are Royalty don't we get everything we want?"
"Well he loves ice and he loves his job. He's also been doing it since he was little so I guess he just couldn't give it up. Your Mama made him The Official Ice Master and Deliverer which means he's the boss."
"Well I guess that's a good reason"
"How comes your not out with Olaf and Tristan?"
"Oh there going to play baseball with some kids from the village I didn't want to intrude and well I'm still not very popular with the kids yet so I thought leave them be."
She looked over at me and opened her mouth but hesitated a little "Amber, why were you, Elsa and Stain arguing last night?"
"Oh you heard that?" she nodded "Well Mama and Papa want to send me to Royal Prep!"
"What's so bad about that? Me and your Mama went there it's where you learn how to be a Princess."
"I'm not the best people person am I, my powers and it's on an island just off of Arendelle! I'm going to have to stay there aren't I?"
She looked at me and laughed "Oh Amber Royal Prep is run by three fairies Fauna, Flora and Merryweather they send enchanted carriages to get you so you will come home and go every week day! Trust me it's a really good school and I'm sure you will make friends immediately!"
"Really Aunt Anna? I'm socially impaired!" She began to laugh under her breath "What's so funny?!"
"Oh nothing don't worry and I'm pretty sure you will love it there as guess who goes there?"
"A bunch of snotty Princesses and Princes"
"Yes but also Verity and Flynn go there so I'm sure you will love it there." My mouth dropped.
"Oh my gosh!" I jumped up and danced about. "Happy?" She asked getting up and hobbling over to me rubbing her stomach.
"Obviously! I can't wait to see them again!" Just then Anna groaned and held her stomach stumbling backwards. "Aunt Anna are you ok?" I asked walking her over to the sofa.
"Just the baby giving me a hard time." This whole pregnancy had been a hard time for her! She was one of the women who was going to have the sickness for the whole time she was pregnant and I've walked in on her crying and struggling to breathe because the baby had punched her in her ribs.
"Should I call for the doctor or Mama?"
"No, no it's fine Amber! Come here." She took my hand and placed it on her stomach and that's when I felt a powerful kick.
"Wow! I felt my baby cousin kick for the first time!" I smiled.
"That is the first time it has kicked actually!" She laughed.
"How about we do something fun?"
"I'm not aloud out of this room unless I want to be told off by your Mama, Papa, Kristoff or the doctor!"
"No in here!" I giggled.
"Well what's so fun in here?"
"Stay here!" I went running to my room then back again.
"What did you get?" She asked me. From behind my back I pulled out nail polish and then in the other hand I pulled out chocolates.
"Oh wow! This is better then just sitting and reading!"
I opened the box of chocolates and then got to painting her toenails "So when are you going to Royal Prep?" She asked.
"Mama and Papa said next week!"
"Well looks like you're going to get to see Verity and Flynn very soon!"
I couldn't wait to see my cousins again! It was going to be the best thing ever and I'm sure they are popular so I will make lots of new friends! I just hope they are glad to see me!
Stains Prov
I was out at the stables sorting out Matilda when I heard Kristoff and Sven come in.
"You alright Kristoff how was work?"
"Fine Stain just tired. It was good seeing everyone again but I had this feeling that Anna was hurt?"
"Anna has been in your room all day with Amber she went to go keep Anna company while you were gone"
"Well it was either that or something about the baby! I'm going to go check on her." He said turning the castle.
"Kristoff wait."
"What?"
"You keep telling me you need to talk to me about something alone! What is it because every time you bring it up you look worried?"
"Oh! Can you remember when James first turned up and was arguing with Amber?" I just go the flash of Anna and Amber getting hit.
"Yes as if it happened yesterday! Why?" I said shaking my head.
"Did he mention anything about the blue moon?"
"Umm yeah I think so. I remember hearing Amber say something about it. Why do you ask?" I was beginning to get worried now.
"Doesn't matter I will see you later I need to go check on Anna." And with that he had sprinted off to his chamber. I was worried for him he had loads on his plate like the baby, work and this whole James thing he was on about? If that was me I would have broken down but not Kristoff he's strong and stays strong. I'm glad Anna got him instead of some rich jerk.
I turned back to Matilda "You think me and Elsa are doing the right thing in sending Amber to Royal Prep don't you girl?" I asked rubbing her neck. She nodded and hit her hoof 2 times which normally I take as a yes. "I mean she will make lots of friends and Flynn and Verity goes there so it's not like she's alone!"
"You are just like Kristoff and Sven only you don't put on a voice for Matilda!" I turned to see Amber standing in the doorway.
"You heard all that?"
"Heard it and regretted it Papa! You really need to get some friends other then Uncle Kristoff, Naveen, Eric and Eugene!" She laughed walking over and petting Matilda.
"Hey you know I can ground you right!" I joked "So you're not annoyed anymore?" I hesitated
"No not at all I talked to Aunt Anna about it and she talked me into trying Royal Prep." She walked over and gave me a hug "I'm sorry I was such a moody cow last night. Forgive me?"
I looked down and kissed her on her forehead "Princess I will always forgive you no matter what!"
"I love you Papa."
"I love you too. Now how about an evenings ride just me and you?" Since she had started calling me Papa we hadn't down much alone time together.
"I would love nothing more." She said grabbing Chandler's saddle.
Elsa's Prov
Signing stuff has to be the worst about being queen apart from the long boring meetings! I have just finished signing the last of 33 documents "Elsa." I heard from outside my door. I got up from my desk and walked over to the door as I opened it I stuck my head around to see who it was but no one was there it must be me again last week I though I heard Anna call me for help but when I apparently heard this I found she was taking a nap? Some weird things had been going on as well…
I turned around to go back in my study "Hi!" I screamed as I saw Olaf standing there waving at me. "What!? What's wrong is something scary happening?"
"No Olaf everything is fine you just scared me a little." I said catching my breath.
"I scared you?" His eyes went wide as if he was about to cry.
"Oh no no no Olaf don't be upset!" I said hugging him "I didn't see you that's all you didn't do anything wrong you just caught me by surprise!" I explained.
"So I'm not bad?" He asked.
"Of course your not bad! Olaf your one of the sweetest, kind hearted snowmen I know! You are far from bad."
"Ok good! Oh yeah and I came to see if you are ok!" He smiled. He always though of everyone before himself when he would be out he would go around and see everyone before going and doing his own thing.
"I'm great thank you." I said kissing his carrot nose "I hope you and Tristan had a good time in town playing baseball"
"Oh we did! I do wish Amber would have come though the boys where saying how much they wanted to meet her!"
"You know Amber she isn't that comfortable around children yet give her time she will come around! I mean she will have to we are sending her to Royal Prep!" I looked over at Olaf's face he looked so confused "school" I said.
"Ohh school! School! School! School! What's school?" He asked
"It's a place where people go to learn!" He just looked at me and nodded just then the door burst open.
"I heard a scream is everything ok!?" Kristoff asked in a panic.
"Yes Kristoff everything is fine! Olaf here just gave me a little fright" I said giggling.
"How's Anna?" Olaf asked.
"She's asleep at the moment but I'm sure she will be awake soon." Kristoff smiled "Well I should be getting back to her anyway"
"Wait Kristoff before you go. Do you think me and Stain are doing the right thing in sending Amber to Royal Prep?"
"Well yeah I mean she has to go to school and I mean she's not alone there because Flynn and Verity go there don't they!"
"Yeah they do but she started screaming at me and Stain last night about how she felt like we wanted to get rid of her which I know with all my heart I don't want to do!" My eyes had started to water.
"Elsa don't cry!" Olaf said hugging my leg.
"I just feel like I have messed up Kristoff."
"Elsa trust me Amber adores you and you could never mess up with her you love her to much and even if you do then you will work it out because everyone makes mistakes! Hey I'm petrified about having this baby I'm scared I'm gonna mess up! But I love Anna and the baby with all my heart so if I do mess up which I will then I can try and fix it!" He placed a big arm around me.
"I need to talk to Stain about this more. Where is he?" I asked agitated.
"Last time I saw he was in the stables sorting out Matilda."
I hugged him "Thank you. If Anna wakes up tell her I will come see her in a bit. I will be back in a minute."
With that I run out my study leaving Kristoff talking to Olaf.
I run to the stables but on the way I bumped into Gwen "Oh my! Queen Elsa I'm so sorry!" Gwen is one of our servants she is about my age and she absolutely stunning! When I locked myself away from Anna and on the rare occasions I came out like to eat then me and Gwen would sit there talking we were and still are close.
"Gwen how many times have I told you my name is Elsa to my close personal friends!" I moaned helping her pick up the laundry she had dropped.
"I know but if Ms Cindy hears me call you that then she would kill me! And don't worry about the laundry I will get it you seemed like you was in a rush!" She said taking to washing off me.
"Well if Ms Cindy has a problem then she can bring it up with me and I'm not in that much of a rush that I can't clean up the mess I made." I hadn't really had a proper talk with Gwen in ages actually "We really need a catch up!" I stated
"Yes well we haven't properly spoken in ages it seems! Well I'm always in the castle as you know so I will come see you when aren't busy!" And with that she just smiled and went on her way. I carried on down to the stables
"Stain." I called but there was no answer? Strange normally he would answer "Stain" still no answer? Where on earth could he be!? I walked over to Josie and started petting her. I hadn't been on Josie in a while but I always let Amber ride her to keep her healthy. After a while I noticed next to Bolt there were 2 empty pens, Matilda and Chandler's, I walked over to Sven's pen. He was lying down eating a pile of hay when he noticed I was standing there he stood up quickly and came to greet me "Hello to you too Sven." I said giggling and scratching behind his ear.
"Can I ask you something buddy?" He nodded. "Did you see where Matilda and Chandler went?" He nodded again "Do you know who was riding them?" Yet again he nodded "Who?" He walked up to the pen door I opened it and he went trotting out to a bed of flowers "Amber?" He nodded then walked over to me and pointed at my heart "Stain." I said even though I already knew as everyone else was inside. Sven nodded and walked back into his pen "Did you see what way they went?" He shook his head. "It's ok bud!" I said scratching behind his ears "you did well and I will send Olaf out when I see him ok!" He looked happier now.
Once I had left the stables I went back to my study and just sank down in my chair. Where on earth could they be I mean it's getting dark Stain wouldn't have been that stupid to take her far away. I buried my head in my hands trying to figure it out, when I looked up my study had completely frozen. The door began to rattle so I quickly stood up and thawed what I had done then opened the door. Anna ducked under my arm and into the room.
She stood there with her hand on her hip "Why was the room frozen?" She asked.
I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow "Why are you out of bed?"
"Fair play but seriously why was the room frozen? What's wrong?" She asked sitting down with a hand rubbing her stomach.
"I don't know were Stain and Amber are its getting dark and I'm worried that they are up the North Mountain! Wolves come out at night!" I began to panic I didn't realise that the wolves where up there till I said it.
"They will be fine Stain's not that stupid to go up there at night and neither is Amber!"
"Anyway" I crossed my arms again "what are you doing out of your bed!?" I scowled.
"Well Kristoff said you was going to find Stain them come see me. Well I saved you a trip all the way to the East wing." She stated, me, Amber and Stain are all in the west wings but Anna, Kristoff and the baby are all in the east (because that's where the other master bedroom is) so it's a long trip to see each other if we are in our rooms or I'm in my study.
"Anna I'm not the one who is pregnant! You're meant to be resting just as the Doctor said! Anna he knows what he's on about why don't you listen! It's for yours and the baby's benefit."
"Hey, hey, hey!" She held up her hands "I walked about 5 minutes I'm not running up the North Mountain!" She put her hands on her mouth "Oh god I'm sorry Elsa I didn't mean that I... I wasn't thinking!"
"Anna it's fine I know you didn't mean it" I walked over and pulled a chair over to the desk "I know you feel useless in your room and that you think I'm moaning a lot but you have to see I'm only looking out for my baby sister and my baby niece or nephew." I said softly placing my hand on top of hers.
"I know" She smiled "Stain and Amber will be back soon! But in the mean time I'm just going to stay here."
I looked her up and down "You can't move can you?" I said smugly.
"Not a bit!" she said shrinking in her seat.
"Come here" I took her hand and helped her up "Come to my room and rest for a while till you have enough energy for me to help you back to your room" We walked to my room as fast as Anna could move (it took about 3 minutes from the corner to my room) when got in my room and I helped Anna onto my bed then walked out on to my balcony. I sat on the edge with my legs dangling over I looked up at the dark sky to see one star; I looked around to see if Anna was awake but she was asleep I looked back at the bright star. "Star light, Star bright, First star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, Have the wish I wish tonight." I closed my eyes and thought of something I wanted most, a million things came to mind but I finally chose one I opened my eyes again and laughed to myself under my breath. "Wishing on stars is for little kids." I mumbled.
"Elsa! ELSA!"
I rushed back into my room "What?" I looked at her dress it was wet. I looked back to her worriedly my eyes wide "No its not time yet you have 3 more months!"
"It's happening! AHHH!" she started panting "Get…. The…Doctor!" she screamed between breaths. I opened my door and saw 2 servants and a guard walking towards me "You three!" I pointed at them "One go get the Royal Doctor in here NOW! Another go get Royal Consort Kristoff here as well! And you guard go find Princess Amber and Stain! I need them here immediately!"
They all nodded but I knew they was wondering why "Princess Anna is about to have her baby"
Hello Everyone I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a while as I have been on holiday! :) I caught a nice fresh tan and I cant wait to go and see the rest of my family in Turkey on Thursday night so I am going to try and post as much as I can before I go so I wont leave it as long as I have this month! As I have taken so long to post this new chapter I think if I finish it I will post another one before I go to bed tonight! Please REVIEW, REVIEW, REVIEW! I really want to know how I can improve my story as it isn't nearly as good as some of the stories I have read :'(! Well I hope to be posting soon Bye!
