Chapter 26: Destiny's Ball Part 1
Elsa's Prov
Me, Stain, Amber and Olaf were all sitting at the table eating (apart from Olaf) and talking although Amber seemed to be more quiet then normal "Amber are you ok?" I asked.
She looked up from her food to me biting her lip "Yeah I'm fine." Then after tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. I knew her well enough that she wasn't ok 1. She was really quiet 2. She always bit her lip or tucked a piece of hair behind her ear 3. She wasn't sitting in her normal seat. Instead she was sitting in Anna's seat.
"Amber are you sure your fine?" Stain asked looking across the table at her.
"I said I'm fine" She snapped. We all looked a little taken back by this then the doors opened. Anna and Kristoff walked in looking like they where half dead and Destiny in Kristoff's arms giggling away.
"You two look like zombies!" I said.
"Nice to see you too!" Anna groaned.
"Keep you wake all night?" Stain asked.
"She didn't sleep at all" Kristoff turned to Amber "how the hell did you get her to sleep last night it was near to impossible for us! We slept for at least an hour or two!" He growled.
"I don't know I just sang!" Amber explained "If you want you can feed her then once you're done I can look after her as you both eat and have a little sleep before the party tonight." She suggested.
They both groaned and fell back in there seats "I forgot about the party!" Anna grumbled.
"Amber please look after her you would be doing us a big favour!" Kristoff said "I would ask you two but I have a feeling you will be busy sorting out the party?" He said turning to me and Stain.
"Yeah we have to finish putting the last touches together!" I looked at me confused; I just shook my head at him.
"Gerda, would you mind getting Destiny's highchair?" Anna asked.
"Of course Anna!" She said walking out the room.
Anna and Kristoff sat down with Destiny in his lap; we all began to eat in silence. The sound of the door opening broke the silence we all looked up to see Tristan carrying in Destiny's highchair.
Stain got up to help him "No its fine. Where do you want it?" Stain pointed in between Amber and Anna, I looked over at Amber who let out a big sigh and wasn't looking at Tristan. "Oh okay." He was doing it to! Had something happened that I had missed? Had he hurt or upset Amber?
"Amber can I talk to you? Alone." I said. She looked up from her hands and nodded. We walked out of the dining hall into the hallway.
"Is something wrong Mama?" she said leaning against the wall.
"Stand up straight!" She looked at me confused then stood up "I'm sorry I just don't understand you at the minute." I said looking at her.
"What do you mean?" She said softly.
"Well you snapped at your father earlier, you're slouching all of a sudden, I've found thrones in your room and you won't even look at Tristan!" I said walking over to her "Tell me what is wrong please."
"Nothing is wrong! I'm just tired, yesterday was an eventful day!" She began to play with her hair.
"Ok well how about you go get Destiny and then go around the castle or something." i said taking her hand.
We walked back into the dining hall she brushed past Tristan without giving him a second look and sat back down in her seat. The silence thickened as we sat there looking at each other then Destiny began to squirm. "Aunt Anna I will take her now, I'm done anyway!" We looked at her plate it wasn't even half empty!
"Amber are you sure you don't want to eat anything else?"
"No I'm fine I will just take her around the castle till the party or till you and Uncle Kristoff want her back!" She smiled. Anna gave Destiny to Amber and she walked out talking away to her shortly followed by Tristan being called by Gerda.
"What was that all about?" Stain whispered in case one of them would hear.
"I have no idea! She's seemed… different lately!" I responded.
"Ever since Destiny was born she's been acting weird! She never comes to check on everyone before she goes to sleep. She would normally go in Destiny's new room to practise her powers! I know that for a fact I've caught her doing it before!" Anna chipped in.
Kristoff mumbled something "Sorry Kristoff what was that?" I asked.
"When me and Stain where outside your room yesterday Amber went to see Tristan! She came back and something was different I could see it in her eyes!" He explained "I just thought nothing of it at the time!"
I looked from him to Stain and out of the corner of my eye I could Olaf trying to get down? He would normally ask if he could leave, or announce he was going! He knew something!
"Olaf?" he looked at me.
"I know nothing of what is going on! Nope not a clue!" he babbled.
"Olaf?" Me and Anna said sternly.
"Okay! Fine! Here it is…"
Amber's Prov
I started to walk around the castle with Destiny in my arms. All of the servants we passed would come over and say hello to me and her but mostly paid attention to her as she is the new princess and all! I took Destiny to my room as I had something I wanted to give her, I placed her on my bed and ran in my closet and looked through the shelves "Ah ha!" I walked back out to see her rolling on my bed giggling away.
I sat her up and lifted her onto my lap "Here Destiny I want to give you this." I lifted TJ up and placed him in her arms. Since I had got to the castle the maids cleaned him for me but then I realised I didn't need him anymore as before I had only needed him to keep me company but I had a family so I put him away in my closet until now! "Destiny this is TJ! Now I need you to take good care of him. As one time or another he took really good care of me so I know if you do the same he will take care of you too!" All she did was look at me and cuddled TJ.
I picked her up and walked downstairs, when I saw Uncle Kristoff and Aunt Anna walking out the dining hall "Oh Amber is she being good?" Aunt Anna asked tickling Destiny's cheek.
"You gave her TJ?" Uncle Kristoff noticed.
"Yeah! I mean I was getting to old for him so I thought who better to give him to then my baby cousin." I smiled.
"Well are you sure you don't want us to take her?" Aunt Anna asked.
"No she's been nothing but an angel anyway you two need some rest before the party and we are both ready so it will be fine!" I stopped a minute "Uncle Kristoff"
"Yes Amber"
"I was just wondering could I bring Sven out of his pen and into the garden."
"Sure he can meet Destiny for the first time and he hasn't been out today so what's the harm!" He smiled.
They both gave me and Destiny a kiss on the head then went to their room. I walked into the stables, as I opened the door I saw Sven was eating with his back to us, I looked down at Destiny whose eyes where on all the horses she saw Sven and an even bigger smile grew on her face as if she knew he was family.
"Hey Sven." I said opening his pen he turned around and jumped up and down "Yeah I'm glad to see you too!" I chuckled; he looked down at Destiny and walked forward towards me and her. "This is Destiny." I said turning her around and holding her away from me closer to him, he sniffed her; she started to giggle and wave her arms about feeling his fur.
"Come on Sven! Uncle Kristoff said you can come into the garden and play!" I said, at this Destiny began clapping her hands. I walked through to the gardens and walked with Sven and Destiny by where my balcony was. "Sven can you lower yourself so me and Destiny can get on please?" He did as he was asked Destiny giggled as Sven stood up again. We started to ride around the garden looking at everything, I looked down at Destiny. Tonight is about her Amber don't mess it up for her! I tried to move my hand from around Destiny to push a bit of hair out my face but I couldn't move it I looked down to see the bracelet Tristan had got me I finally got it lose from her dress when I took it off and threw it down the garden away from me. I doubt I'm gonna need that anymore!
Stain's Prov
Me and Elsa where sitting in her study just checking everything was set for tonight. "Els?"
"Yes?"
"Why did you say that we still needed to put some of the stuff together for Destiny's party?"
She looked up at me "Well Amber seemed so pleased when they asked her, I didn't want to take that away from her."
I looked in her eyes "There is something else as well."
"I have no idea what you are on about!" She said turning away from me.
"Elsa I know when you are holding back something!" I turned her back around to face me "Just tell me."
She sighed "Fine! You know there is this whole Tristan thing going on with Amber I can't help but feel there is something else wrong."
"If it was something that bad she will tell us." I smiled pulling her onto my lap and hugging her, my head was buried in her hair.
"I know" she mumbled into my shirt "Now come on we just need to make sure everyone's outfits are ready then we are done." She said trying to pull away but I locked my hands together stopping her "Stain let go!" She said sternly trying to keep a straight face.
"But Els I want to stay like this!" I said doing a pouty face.
"How about this" She giggled "we make sure everyone has there outfits and masks then and only then we can go back to your room and stay like this till its time to get ready." She placed her hand on my chest and looked at me. "Now let go!" She said laughing again.
"Fine! But only because I know I will lose the argument with you if I don't do it!" I moaned realising my grip on her.
"Then you're a smart man!" She said getting up and walking to the door "Well you coming?" She said turning back to me.
I stood up slowly "Can we start in your room?" I groaned.
"No I need to check Anna and Kristoff have theirs and then on the way back I need to get mine and Ambers from Iridessa's room!" I stood up and walked over to the door where she was standing.
"Okay then lets go!" I let out she laughed and pushed me out the door into the hallway. "What's your dress and mask like?" I asked.
"I'm not saying but Iridessa made our outfits and masks so quickly at such short notice! What's yours like?"
"Oh no if you won't tell me then I'm not telling you!" I laughed.
"You're so mean!" She pushed me into the wall; her hands instantly went to the mouth "Oh Stain I'm so sorry!" She said coming closer.
"Oh you're in for it now!" I laughed and chased her to Anna and Kristoff's room.
We slowed down remembering that they where tired this morning so they could well be asleep and I didn't want to be the one to wake them up and I'm sure Elsa didn't either! I pressed my ear up to the door I couldn't hear anything? They came straight up here after breakfast so I don't know where else they could be. I put my finger to my lips and reached out for the door knob I turned it slowly trying not to make a noise, I opened it slightly to stick my head around. On the bed Anna and Kristoff where sound asleep, I looked around the room and spotted Anna's dress and mask, Destiny's dress and tiny mask and Kristoff's suit and mask. I shut the door quietly and turned to Elsa "Their stuff is out and ready." I whispered.
"Come on then let's go get mine and Amber's!" With Elsa she always seems to get excited when planning a party Anna has told me so many before I arrived. I don't know whether it's because when she was younger she had none or she just feels good with everything perfect!
We got to Iridessa's room, Elsa went in and I was told to wait outside for so I didn't see her outfit or mask. I was standing there for ages when the door finally opened! Iridessa walked out holding a dress and mask "Elsa said take this to Amber's room and she will meet you in your room." I nodded, took Amber's outfit and began to walk down the corridor "Oh and Stain" I turned back around "your outfit and mask is in your room! Heads up put it away before Elsa sees it." She winked.
I laughed "Thanks Iridessa I will see you tonight!" I went walking off to Amber's room.
I walked in and layed her dress and mask on her bed. I stood back and admired Iridessa's work I had seen Amber grow up so quickly the past 8 months, she had always looked like a little girl but now in the past month she had seemed to get older so quickly she wasn't mine and Elsa's little girl anymore! Elsa hadn't even known her a year yet but she was as if Elsa was her really mother and had been there Amber's entire life! The dress looked so grown up I could just imagine my little princess wearing it tonight, then my mind started racing into the future, imagining her getting married, starting a family! I should treasure what I have right now because before me and Els know it I will be walking her down the isle!
I strolled to my room and placed my outfit for tonight in my closet near the front with my everyday clothes as I knew if Elsa did go snooping she would go straight to the back instead. I heard a light tapping on my door I knew exactly who I was so I quietly shut my wardrobe door and waited, I heard the door open and gently shut, then shuffling around the room coming closer to my closet; the handle began to rattle then opened. "Looking for something?" I asked.
A scream left her mouth in horror, I was laughing so much, she caught her breathe "Stain don't do that to me!" she said with an angry tone.
"Maybe you shouldn't snoop then!" I came back.
"No cuddles then!" she said bluntly.
I smirked, walked over to her and swept her off her feet. "Stain! Put me down!" She said hitting my arm. I carried her over to my bed and laid her down "That was NOT funny!" She moaned.
"Oh Elsa come on you can't stay mad at me!" I stated leaning over her. She didn't say anything. I looked at her but she looked away. I sat down still looking at her. "Els do you know how I am going to be able to find you at the party tonight? Even with out seeing your dress or mask?" She turned her head to face me. "You will be the most beautiful woman there! And you will have all eyes on you!" I smiled at her she began to crack a small smile.
"Fine your right I can't stay mad at you!" She said getting huffy. I learned back over and kissed her softly on her cheek.
"Does this mean we can just relax till the party?" I asked.
She looked at me and smiled "Yes it does!" She said placing her head on my chest then rapping her arms around me as we got comfy.
Just before the party…
Anna's Prov
Everything looked perfect for Destiny's ball. Everything was ready but 2 things none of us where ready and no one knew where Amber, Destiny and Sven were!
Me and Elsa where pacing in the hallway "We can't have Destiny's party without Destiny!" Elsa said stating the obvious.
I rolled my eyes at her "Elsa I know that!" I snapped.
"You two need to calm down we already know Amber has a thing with going off!" Stain said.
"Yeah and they are with Sven who wouldn't let anything happen to them! I'm sure they will be back in no time!" Kristoff explained.
Just then the doors opened and a cute giggle was heard "Destiny! Amber!" I said running over taking Destiny out of Amber's hands. "Where on earth have you been?" I said looking at Amber.
"I took Destiny out for a ride on Sven. We went down to the fjord!" She explained.
"Amber you made us so worried! The party starts shortly and you still need to get ready!" Elsa argued.
"Elsa the main thing is that they are here now!" I said letting Amber off as they where back in one piece!
I took Destiny up to get her changed, her dress was a gorgeous light pink with a golden out lining and her mask had a swirly decoration the mask was light pink to match her dress and the swirls where golden. The whole point of tonight was to celebrate the birth of Destiny and for us to try and blend into the crowd instead of being noticed as the Royal's but that would be hard as we where hosting the ball and I will be carrying a new born baby around I guess that could be a give away!
I put Destiny in her crib as I still needed to get changed when Kristoff walked in "Oh I'm glad you're here we need to get ready!" I chucked him his suit and picked up my dress.
He walked into the wardrobe and I went into the bathroom I walked out and walked over to Destiny who was asleep "Really Destiny! When we want you to sleep your awake but when you need to be awake your asleep!" I chuckled.
"Awkward! Just like you!" Kristoff said from behind me. All I had to do was look at him "I'm joking!" He walked up to me "you ready to go?"
"I need to do my hair!" I said wide eyed.
"I like it wavy leave it please?" he asked.
"Fine! Oh yeah you can do the honours of waking her up." I smirked.
He walked up to the crib and picked Destiny up out of it, as soon as he was holding her, her eyes shot open and looked around. "Ready?"
"Yeah!" I was about to pull my mask down when he grabbed my hand.
"Something's bothering you. Tell me what it is please?"
"I just wish my mama and papa were here to meet their son-in-law and granddaughter!"
His big eyes looked at me as if he could see into me "And I wish my mother and father were here to meet you and Destiny as well! I'm sure they are so proud of us. I'm sure your parents are so proud of you, I am and I'm glad you gave me the most beautiful little girl ever!" I looked up and smiled at him.
"You always know what to say to me to make me feel better." I went on my tiptoes and kissed him. "Now I'm ready." I smiled.
I'm sorry I have posted in ages I've just had so much on and I have had no idea what to write about! But I promise now I will be posting every weekend at the least! I will try and keep this promise as much as I can. I hope you like this chapter its not my best I know and I'm sorry about that!
