"Mommy?" Six year old Jared asked as he looked up toward his reaper and cloak themed mother.
"Yes sweetie?" She asked as she looked through the groceries… for their father to cook later. Ruby could cook, it's just that she wasn't very… disciplined… in deciding which meals to cook. No more information shall be given.
"Who is Penny?"
The famed hunter froze and turned to the young boy. "Where did you hear that name?"
"Daddy said it in his sleep while he was sleeping on the couch." The young boy pointed to said couch in the living room of their humble house.
"Umm well… you see Jared. … It's… complicated."
She paused for a bit before turning back to him with her silver eyes.
"Would you like to meet her?"
Blake Arc Belladonna was ticked off at her own son. She knew he was… quirky… but she knew that the boy was as sweet as candy, and just as hyperactive. He wouldn't hurt even the butterflies floating around the back yard.
So imagine her surprise, when right in the middle of an important meeting, she received a call from the principal or director of the first grade prep school that Jared was enrolled in. And this teacher claimed that Jared was beating up other students!
She walked past the colorful yet somewhat small hallways as she made her way towards the principal's office.
Unfortunately for them, her husband was out on an extermination campaign, so after Blake had her meeting—in which she could barely concentrate—she had to pick up her son in school.
She walked into the principal's office and saw her sister in law, Juliet Arc, waving a silent hello to Blake as Jared, with a bruised eye and bandages over his arm was leaning on his auntie and looking peacefully asleep.
"Hey Blake." Juliet spoke softly.
"Juliet, I'm sorry for taking so long."
"No problem. Mr. Yamato is still doing his paper work too but he cleared his schedule to wait."
Blake looked at her son. "… Wake him up soon, we'll talk after I speak with the principal." She told the aunt strictly.
She had a talk with the Principal, and she felt bad afterward. It wasn't that her son started a fight, the principal had reason to believe that Jared was actually being bullied because of his heritage, but when some of the bullies tried to harass another kid, he stood up for them, but he didn't fight back.
…
Blake walked out of the office, a little more disappointed in herself for not trusting her child.
"So you heard what really happened huh? It's alright, I thought Jared started a fight in school when I first got here." Juliet, now carrying the still sleeping toddler boy in her arms, said to Blake quietly.
"He… the Principal said he was being bullied for a month now," Blake said in shock. "Why didn't he say anything?"
Juliet smiled and gently caressed the boy in her arms. "I asked him while he was still awake. He didn't want to make his parents worry about him."
"Still!" She almost shouted if not for her eyes of worry hanging over her son. "He should have reported that kid, or maybe even…"
"You want to know what he told me?" Juliet silently interrupted her. "He told me that he wanted to solve the problem by himself."
A small smirk curled up Blake's lips. "Of course he'd take that from his dad."
Juliet chuckled. "If you ask me, he takes that from both of you. Now hear this: he told me that he was going to solve the problem by being friends with his bullies. He was able to get the teacher to tell bully's mom to set up a play date with him."
Blake's heartstrings were pulled. "He… wanted to make friends with them?"
Juliet carefully gave the sleeping boy to his mother, to which the Politician sighed and looked tiredly at her sleeping son. "Just what am I going to do with you?"
She kissed him sweetly on the forehead.
[Present Time.]
"You wanted to know my story?"
Sun put down the tea cup. "Finally she speaks! Nearly nothing for an entire day with nothing but small talk and weird looks!"
Blake gave Sun one of these looks.
"Yeah like that." He validated before looking to Resh as he drank some bottled water.
"Unfortunately, she isn't much of a conversationalist back in school." Resh explained as he sat down with them on the same table. "You could barely get her talking for longer than four sentences if she could help it. As for the staring part, I'm half convinced she never actually blinks."
The black themed girl with gorgeous but sharp eyes leered at the red eyed boy wearing a butler uniform sitting across from her. "Shouldn't you be at work?"
Resh placed his elbows on the table on leaned into them. "Let's not play this game, Blake. We both know where you should be right now. I could call everyone this instance, and unlike before, I can actually track you down this time."
He bluffed. He wasn't quite sure how well his Mama could cover her tracks if she were to hide from him right now even if Sun was tagging along with her. But he had to make sure she wouldn't run away from him.
"Then why don't you?" She asked.
"Because I still think you should explain yourself first. Clear communication is the most important thing if you want people to really listen to you. If I called the others, the more you probably won't come back." Resh relaxed back into his seat.
'You taught me that Mama.' Resh mentally added after saying that.
"… Fine… have any of you heard of the White Fang?"
"I'd be more surprised if anyone hasn't heard of those guys!" Sun answered. "There's a bunch of 'holier-than-thou' zealous freaks who go around messing with everyone!"
Resh raised a brow towards Blake, who seemed to calmly take that answer, and sip her tea.
"… I was once a member of the White Fang."
Sun took that information well, as well as someone almost chocking in their drink would anyway.
"Wait, you were a member of the White Fang?!" Sun asked after he swallowed his drink properly.
Before Blake could answer, she looked over to Resh. "I haven't seen you react."
"I'll preserve my judgments till after you explain everything. Though, hearing from your team, it wasn't that hard to guess…"
Blake sighed. "I suppose that's fair. The truth is…"
Blake then went on explaining what her life was really like in the White Fang and what it meant to her.
Meanwhile, with teams JNPR and RWY…
The Seven of them decided to split up with Jaune sending Nora and Ren to search in one direction and Pyrrha and Yang to search in another direction, which left him with Ruby and Weiss as they searched around for the black themed member of their team.
"Come on Weiss, you could help." Ruby whined tiredly as their search seemingly wasn't doing them good.
"You know what could help? Going to the police." The white themed girl explained.
The smaller, red themed leader continued walking. "Weiss, that isn't helping."
"What? It could be true though. At least, we should have asked Resh for help." She folded her arms as she turned to the other leader among them.
Jaune rubbed the back of his head. "I thought we already said why Resh couldn't come."
"Well I think we should have dragged him along either way."
"And I think Weiss' hair looks lovely today."
"Me too—wait, what?"
"Aah! Penny, where did you come from!?" Ruby screamed as the three of them looked back.
Weiss briefly turned to Jaune. "Did you say something before Ruby screamed?"
"No—who is she?" Jaune pointed to the bright orange haired girl with a giant pink bow.
"Salutations! I'm Penny! And Ruby here is my friend!" The odd girl exclaimed before addressing the reaper.
"Uh hello." Jaune waved.
Penny gasped excitedly as she looked at Jaune. The blonde boy felt this sense of danger as Penny looked almost proudly towards Ruby. "Ruby, is he your boyfriend? I'm honored to meet one!"
"He's not my (her) boyfriend!" Ruby and Weiss screeched out at the same time.
"Wha-wha-wha!?" Jaune expertly reacted.
"Penny, we-we are looking for Blake!" Ruby almost screamed.
"Oh you mean the cat Faunus?" That caught their attention and distracted the other three from their previous, flustered state.
"She's a cat Faunus?" Jaune quickly asked before imagining the stoic girl with kitty ears.
"Wait how did you know that?" Weiss asked Penny.
"She had cat ears on her head." Penny pointed to the top of her head as if where her cat ears would be placed.
"She wears a ribbon…" Jaune trailed off and realized, along with Ruby and Weiss, she never really took it off, ever.
Tumbleweed passed by the four of them.
"She does like tuna a lot…" Ruby whispered softly.
"So why are you looking for her?" Penny asked simply.
Ruby looked around for any help but all she got were equally blank stares from her friends. "Well, you see Penny… we kind of need to find her."
"Ohh!?" For some reason, Penny looked more excited than worried. She walked up to Ruby and held both of the red girl's arms intimately. "Are you in distress? Not to worry friend Ruby! I will assist in aiding you!"
Ruby felt herself squirm a bit in Penny's grip. She really had a firm one for a girl around her size. "Oh uh thanks… I… guess we thank you for your help, right guys?" Ruby turned to see that only Jaune was left with her.
Jaune looked at the empty space where the heiress previously was before looking back at Ruby and Penny.
"Uhh… I guess?" Jaune shrugged, I mean Weiss seemed to avoid this strange girl, but honestly how bad could she even be—Jaune really needs to stop doing that.
"Sen-sational!" Penny declared elatedly.
After she did so, some tumbleweed passed by again, but this time it went in the opposite direction.
Penny looked at the odd sight. "Why is there Tumbleweed in the downtown area?"
Back at the Café, Blake had just finished talking about her history and her previous group.
"I still don't believe the White Fang are doing those robberies." Blake stated.
Sun brightened up before moving his body around to better explain his thoughts. "Wait! What if the only way to prove they didn't do it… is to go to the place where they would most likely go if they were to do it… and not find them there! … Right?" He pointed to Blake as if he had just got an A on his grade 1 math exam.
Resh gave a deadpan look to Sun. "You mean just capture the real perpetrators to these crimes by going to their next potential target?" Resh put Sun's words in much more concise and clear words.
"Y-Yeah, but I thought of it first!" The monkey boy pointed to the boy in uniform.
"But I have no idea where that would be." Blake thought out.
Sun offered his idea. "Well, while I was stowing away, I overheard the guys saying how they were off loading a huge shipment of Dust from Atlas."
"How huge?" The ninja asked.
"Huge! Like Schnee Dust freighter huge!" Sun explained.
"Well then, I know where I'm going." Resh spoke out.
"Don't you have work?" Blake asked.
A smirk appeared on Resh's face. "Oohh, nice try. You're not escaping me that easily. I'm coming with, whether you like it or not."
"… And the others?"
"We'll talk about that later." Resh answered her as they made their way towards the Docks.
By the time the three arrived however, it was already Sundown, mostly because Sun took a few 'detours' for some snacks and Resh actually trailing him and paying for those detours.
Regardless, the three were making their way into the docks area.
"Hold up."
Resh said quickly, stopping the other two Faunus.
"What is it, we need to keep moving or else we'll get caught!" Blake harshly whispered.
"… I don't think that's going to be a problem." Resh eased up as he looked around and saw a door towards one of the main buildings.
"Resh, what are you doing!?" Blake cried out, looking over her shoulder every now and then.
"Relax, there's no one here. No guards, not even employees." Resh touched the door and looked to be observing it closely.
"Wait he's right!" Sun spoke out. Blake looked to the blonde Faunus boy in confusion. Was she missing something here?
"Don't you hear it, Blake?" Resh turned back to the black themed girl.
"What? I don't hear… anything…" She thought about it for a second before realizing her words.
There really was no human sound. In fact, the only thing she could hear with her senses were the waves crashing back and forth along with some random seagulls. She didn't even hear the sounds of distant crane machines or screaming people over said machines. Granted it was night, but one would think that it heavy metropolitan areas, places like this would still be filled with people.
"There's no one here." Resh looked back at the door before looking at the top of the building. "I want to check something, let's go in through the roof of this place."
The purple boy took the lead as he and the other two jumped to the roof of one of the office buildings near the warehouses. Thankfully, there was a glass roof where one of the windows was wide open. Resh looked below and saw a large makeshift office.
"Good this looks like were some of the paper work is done."
"Paper work? I left Haven early to avoid paper work!" Sun complained.
Resh paused for a second, looking at sun before clicking his tongue. "Tch! Can't think of a good snappy comeback to that. Feels like I missed out on something. Oh well, time to break in a government sanctioned building."
Resh stated before jumping into the building and landing quietly in the ground.
Sun looked to Blake. "Is he really like that?"
"He's… eccentric. A bit of a showy dastard, but there's at least there's some method to his madness."
"Hey, you two coming or what!?" The red eyed boy called out from inside the building.
Sun looked back to Blake before shrugging his shoulders and jumping after the third party member. The cat Faunus sighed before following right after them.
As she landed, she looked around the place, seeing nothing much but desk, paper files, like an office place made from an old warehouse. She spotted Resh looking towards the ceiling, and following his gaze she looked up and panicked as she saw Resh standing right in front of a security camera.
"Resh! You're right in front of a security camera!" She scolded. Sun looked at her direction before following her gaze to see Resh standing right in front of one of the ceiling cameras.
"An off security camera." Resh corrected quickly.
"What?" Both Faunus asked after hearing those words from the boy.
"It's off. The recording light isn't on." The boy simply stated before walking towards the door he must have been checking just a second ago. The door had a clearly labeled, 'Fire Escape' but Resh quickly opened it.
Blake panicked as Resh did something so careless purposely, but then only confusion reign in her mind as she noticed the fire alarm not going off at all.
"Wait a sec," Sun carefully thought. "Alright let me get this straight: there are no guards, no employees, and the security system is shut off. What the heck is going on here?"
Resh walked back up to them, and patted Sun's shoulder as he walked by. "And that, my friend, is where the interesting side of Paperwork comes in. Yes, awesome comeback, now I feel so much better!"
He then walked by heading towards what looked to be a main office of the boss.
"That wasn't a comeback." Sun walked behind the other boy.
"Silence, I am on a roll!"
"You're a fool." Blake commented.
Resh seemed to take the insult in stride as he looked to go into a boss's office. The place was clean looking, but had a lot of folders that recorded trades, time schedules, and other miscellaneous and formal documents in docking and shipping.
Resh quickly went behind the desk and started looking through the cabinets.
"What are you looking for?"
"Schedules…" Resh said as he continued on quickly glancing over folders. "Or something like a…" Then Resh's attention was caught with a Schnee Mass printer machine. The purple boy stood back up and walked towards it.
"Care to finish that thought?" Blake folded her arms.
"Ahh right. Now think of it for a second, how exactly could you get everyone out of the docks for one day?"
Sun looked to Blake before answering unsurely. "Uhh Scurvy?"
"A day off." Resh put on the machine and seemed to be going through options labeled in the machine screen.
"You mean we came when there was no one here?" Sun asked confused.
"You mean we came here when no one was supposed to be here." Blake realized and thought out what Resh was implying.
Resh activated the machine and got a piece of paper printed out. "… Attention employees, on (xxxx) the Docking Company office will be closed down for mandatory government re installations. There will be no attendant in the premise from all branches, so please enjoy your day off. Happy Vytal Festival."
"That's today isn't it?" Sun asked a rhetorical question but Resh simply nodded as an answer.
"The White Fang couldn't be behind this!" Blake stated almost out of nowhere. "We were always looked down on, and seen as an independent union group, we don't even have any political power to arrange a mass holiday for employees and launch a raid on the same day!"
Sun and Resh looked at her with unreadable faces, before their gazes seemed focus on something beyond her, like the window behind her.
Blake looked back and saw several Dust Planes slowly descending around their area.
"Maybe they're the government people?" Sun offered weakly.
The trio snuck around the corners to spy on the ones getting off the plane. Much to Blake's disappointment, it really was the White Fang.
"Sorry Blake." Sun said quickly but quietly.
"Don't be… I guess deep down I knew. I just… didn't want to believe it." She resigned to say.
Resh pointed over back to the planes. "Wait, isn't that Roman Torchwick?"
The other two Faunus looked over to where the boy was pointing and indeed he was right. There he was, Roman Torchwick, Criminal Extraordinaire, gallivanting around as if he was in shopping mall. However, there was a figure with such a big cloak on himself, it didn't look like he was walking, but rather gliding beside Roman.
Roman looked to be saying something to them as the other White Fang members moved about.
"No that can't be right!"Blake stared in disbelief. "We wouldn't partner up with a Human, let alone, someone like Roman Torchwick!"
She cried out before taking out her weapon and separating form the two boys.
"Wait, Blake!" Sun cried before going after her.
Resh sighed before arming his coatings. "This is just fantastic."
However, the two boys stopped nearby when they saw Blake bring her blade near Roman's neck.
The two of them stayed in the sidelines, watching and waiting to see what Blake would do next. It didn't make Resh feel comfortable to see her just remove her Ribbon and call them brothers and sisters. Ugh, stupid racial pasts…
"Did she just threaten terrorists by holding a thief at gun point just to ask why they were working together? Even Saturday morning villains are better at Hostage Negotiations than she is!" Resh stared incredulously at the scene before him.
"I kind of admit; she looks hot doing it."
Resh's eyes widened in alarm and he pointed over to one cloaked figure seemingly un bothered by the hostage situation. "Oh hush you. Suppress your hormones and please notice that one of them is just so inconveniently walking up to Blake even with a hostage."
"Is he crazy?!" Sun cried out.
Visions came to Resh's mind in the absolutely worst timing imaginable. He was in a gigantic broken and fallen colosseum field and standing on the opposite side was another boy around his age.
He couldn't see the face and past present was blurring with the future past—static came into his eyes and blurred his vision and current situation together as if one traumatic memory was forcing itself onto his psyche and replacing this scene with the memory or overlapping them at the same time.
"Don't… this…" Words came out of his mouth as he placed a hand on his throbbing right eye. "I don't… I'm sorry…"
"Uh, Resh, now is not the time to be having a mental breakdown!" Sun harshly whispered whule trying to keep an eye out for Blake.
"Oh, terribly sorry," Resh managed to speak in a raspy and strained voice." Let me just tell that… to my mental breakdown…"
Blake looked to the being gliding towards her. "Stop or I'll shoot!"
"Ahh, Kitty? For both our sakes, you might wanna put that down. Little poppet here has specific order to protect me."
"Well he's very poor in his job."
"… We actually don't want to know how it uses its jobs."
Blake got angry at the word 'it'. "How dare you call us an 'it'!"
"Uh hey girl?" Blake looked back to see some of the White Fang members… backing off slowly? "You need to know even we aren't sure what that 'thing' really is."
"… …!?" Hands came out of the cloak. They were empty and bare, but there were scars all over them.
"Oh this isn't going to be good." Roman muttered before deciding to do something himself before his 'help' could assist, so he moved his weapon just nearby the ground of the stealth user.
Then he pulled the trigger.
Ruby, Jaune, and Penny all looked at that large smoke coming from the docks.
Juane spoke out first. "Huh, an explosion that isn't caused by Crater Face or Nora."
"Hey!" The smaller girl yelped and elbowed the knight in the rib.
"Sorry, guess I've been spending too much Resh." Jaune apologized while rubbing said rib part.
"Come on guys! We gotta go help!" Ruby cried out.
Resh's left eye stared bleeding as soon as the explosion happened.
"Dude, are you alright?" Sun asked as he saw the sudden spill of blood..
"Help Blake! I'll catch up!" The boy whispered harshly as he covered his left eye to stop the bleeding. "Go!"
Sun looked very hesitant at leaving him there, but he thought about it for a second, true, between the two of them Blake needed him now more than Resh. While still hesitant, he ran towards Blake and left the boy alone.
"You followed me, didn't you…?" Words came out of Resh's mouth, he didn't know why he was saying this, but for some reason these foreign words felt so welcome to his mind. "I didn't want us to escape that accursed realm like this…"
Resh shook his head, feeling his eyes stop bleeding for now. Whatever that dizzy spell was has ended, only for the smell of ash and smoke to creep up to him. Resh armed whatever coatings he could, empowered his aura, and dashed into the fight.
Speaking of said fight, Blake quickly got back up and avoided Roman from blasting her to kingdom come.
"What are you waiting for? Get her!" Roman yelled to the other White Fang members before Continuing to gun down the girl and chase after her himself.
"Oh no you don't!" Sun jumped from one of the crates and unleashed bullet heck on the attacking White Fang Members.
"Hey you, walking bed sheet!" Sun turned his attention to cloaked figure seemingly staring at the sky. He then fired his shots at the figure, all hitting him and burning away his cloak before making him fly into the wall.
The cloaked being was on fire and looked badly burnt.
"W-What!? Whoa what's with him, shouldn't his aura protected him!?" Some White Fang members asked as they looked at the guy.
"He killed him!" Another White Fang member screamed at Sun. Roman thought good riddance before continuing his chase for that girl.
"What no way! He was just… Oh. My. Any Religious Deity here." Sun stared off towards the body.
Everyone watched as the cloaked figure, with burning holes in his cloak, stood back up, and the holes simply healed themselves back up. The thing was he didn't get back up as one normally would, it was as if something pulled his body from lying down to standing straight up.
"Well that was creepy." Sun mentioned before cheap shot-ing the other White Fang Members. Still he briefly wondered why he didn't use his Aura. His shots wouldn't have even made him bleed if his Aura was up.
Sun prepared his weapon into a staff before feeling someone sneak behind him. He inwardly smirked and spun his staff to smash the guy in the face behind him.
It only half worked. The attack connected and made a hard crunching sound, but apparently the person Sun just hit was the same cloaked person that was just some distance away from him awhile ago. The attack may have connected and whacked him in the face, but he didn't even seem to flinch from the hit and this time he was firmly planted on the ground.
Sun pressed on the attack, but this time, the cloaked figure ducked and weaved from all the attacks. Sun jumped, spinning his weapon in his staff form, before bringing it down hard on the cloaked figure. The mysterious figure sidestepped the attack, sweeping their left leg high up in perfect vertical form before unleashing an Axe kick that suddenly whipped and stretched out towards Sun.
"Whoa!?" Sun avoided the stretched limb as it shattered the ground he was in momentarily.
"…" The being simply whispered something inaudiable as his body started contorting, rapidly expanding his body into a much more gargantuan size that towered over Sun like an ant.
"So that's your semblance…" Sun nervously stepped back before the being raised up his beefed up arms and brought them down, making the ground in the immediate area. The shockwave blew away Sun and made the blonde boy slide closer towards a warehouse. The Faunus held strong, looked back up—to see the juggernaut running deceptively fast with his fist flying first into him a few inches to his face.
Then a flash of purple blinded him.
Sun didn't feel much pain, but he heard a loud crashing sound as the world he saw started spinning around uncontrollably. Sun focused at last, seeing Resh on top of him and a large dusty cloud behind him in the background.
"Man it's a good thing Blake isn't here." Resh managed to quip lightly as he got off Sun.
"Thanks for that, and what did you mean by that?" The boy dusted himself off.
"She reads smut. If she saw me on top of you, there might have been ideas flying in her head." Resh told him bluntly.
The blonde, abs showing boy stared hard at the casualness of the purple cloaked boy beside him "… Wow… that is slightly more impactful than learning she's from a cult."
An explosion happened behind the two of them. Resh and Sun looked to the sky as they heard and saw more dust planes heading their way, which meant that there were more Reinforcements inbound. At the same moment, the cloaked figure stepped out, back into his normal size but this time, there was something off with his cape. It turned completely red. And the figure's hood was removed to reveal a black haired boy with his mask attached to his face. The sight disgusted Sun, but for Resh, he felt sorrow for some reason.
"We need to get Blake out of here." The Purple boy said to snap Sun back to his senses. "We don't stand a chance against this many people."
The masked figure reached for his hood before putting it on and briskly walking towards the two boys.
"Good idea." Sun said before running to where the explosions were.
Resh stayed one second behind as the two looked sights, even though the stranger was had a mask attached to his face.
It was then the boy from the future heard a whisper, even among the explosions, the loud Dust Plane engines, and the screams of White Fang Members getting up and running towards him, he still heard a fraction of a whisper.
"… Don't leave me… again…"
Resh turned back from the figure and ran after Sun. The cloaked figure only stared in the direction the purple boy ran.
Sun and Resh saw Roman continually trying to blast Blake before she tried her own offensive attack on the stylish criminal. However, the thief had a little more skill than expected and forced Blake back.
Before Resh could even move, his instincts screamed and roared at him to duck. It was so powerful, he did so suddenly.
Then something tackled Sun from behind and the width of it would have tackled both boys if Resh had not ducked. Resh's eyes widened as he saw Sun get tumbled into a lock with the cloaked figure pinning Sun down on top of him.
It was the cloaked figure and he had landed on top of Sun.
"No offense or anything dude, but I'd rather have girls tackle me dowKRAHCK!?" Sun chocked as the stranger started strangling Sun's neck.
"SUN!?" Resh called out to his uncle and stepped forward, only for him to spin on his heel and block a gunshot from the catching up White Fang Members.
Blake turned around at Resh's scream and saw him being attacked by and fending off a mass of White Fang Members then she looked over to where the Boy's scream was directed and paled as she saw the cloaked figure choking Sun to death with red electricity gathering in the figure's arms.
Blake shot off, seeing Resh was busy, and raced to Sun's aid.
However, Roman saw this and observed his surroundings. He smiled deviously firing his weapon on a crane that was carrying a suspended crate and making the crate fall towards Blake.
For Resh, everything slowed down. As he turned back to his two family members, he saw his Uncle Sun, dying, getting chocked to death as the Strange was somehow nullifying Sun's aura. He saw his Mama, or Auntie, Blake looking up at the crate about to crush her. She looked up, as if ready to back away from the crate and get to safety, but she didn't. She dashed forward, towards Sun with her own weapon ready to knock the stranger off him.
However, it also meant that Blake was going in one straight line, Roman positioned his cane gun to where Blake would definitely run into in order to save Sun.
'No.'
Resh paled as his mind moved even faster, seeing Roman shoot a dust round to which Blake was about to run into.
'No!' Resh screamed in his mind. Memories came flooding in about all the times he had Blake as a mother. All of her strict rules, soul piercing stares, adamant scolding, the time she grounded him for destroying the Science Fair, all the times she hugged him, kissed his forehead, had family picnics, taught him to empathize with other people and to never run away from his problems.
But they were all starting to fade.
'Please no!'
Roman fired his shot. The blast was making its way faster towards Blake than she was to Sun. The Faunus girl slowly turned her yellow eyes towards the blast, only able to look at it as it came closer and closer to her while she still wasn't able to reach Sun.
Resh looked at himself, still trying to fight off White Fang Members, unable to reach for either of them. Unable to save them. Was this his fault? Should he have called father and his friends before all of this? Please don't do this, please don't take his family away.
Please!
"Mama!"
The time traveler begged and wished with all his might.
Then…
Destiny played its hand.
{Author Notes}
Hey dudes. If you noticed, I put two excerpts from the future this time. I couldn't really decide on one this time, so hey—I just put two. Hope it's not to bad.
OK, so a shorter chapter than usual. Unfortunately I'm slightly in a hurry this time, so I might have to cut this short.
Thankfully, Thanksgiving break is coming soon-ish so I should be able to work on the next part of this story.
I'm a little pressed for time for now, but I still think it's a proper time to post now.
Anyway, thank you for reading, merry holidays, and please Review, Follow, and Favorite to support this fic.
