~ Final Moments ~

Dr. Groves stood inside of the containment chamber, speaking to Specimen Six in their confinements. Suddenly, the monitor inside the chamber came to life, lighting up the room. I watched on in confusion as I saw what looked to be Mr. Weyland himself on the screen, standing in front of a massive door of obvious alien design, I had never seen anything like it. I decided to walk into the containment chamber alongside Dr. Groves.

"What's happening?" I inquired as I walked closer to the screen. Dr. Groves turned around only to immediately direct all his focus to the screen, for the first time I'd ever seen, he showed no interest in the Specimen besides him. Dr. Groves stepped alongside me and stared off in a look of unknown wonder. "Weyland's finally going to do it." Groves mumbled to himself.

Suddenly as Mr. Weyland turned towards the camera, the feed was cut into nothing but a dark static as a horrible flash of electricity began to escape from it, frying the device and scorching the ceiling from where it connected. As another jolt blasted through the office, lightbulbs blew in a frantic frenzy and soon, all that lit the containment chamber was the deep dark red of the emergency lights.

"Security alert. Power Failure. Please Remain Calm." an automated voice chanted as the sirens began to blare in the room. Dr. Groves pushed me aside as he cautiously walked back into the observation room. "Excuse me" was all he said. In sudden terror, I heard a sickening "click" as I turned to see Specimen Six's restraints come off one by one. I was frozen in fear, still trying to process what had even happened.

"The restraints... the Xenomorph..." I mumbled as I finally got myself to move towards the exit. With one last horrifying jolt Specimen Six had managed to free herself from the holding unit completely, and quickly began to gain its bearings. I ran into the observation room only to see Dr. Groves close and lock the door behind him. Despair filled my thoughts as I saw the flashing red emergency lights from Six's containment chamber.

In a fury I began to slam on the door, desperate to escape whatever fate Six had planned for me. In all the time I had worked here, I had never known someone to survive an encounter with a Xenomorph, and I knew I wouldn't either. "Groves you fucking bastard!" I screamed as I desperately tried to pry the door open. Suddenly, a high pitched hiss filled the room as I heard heavy footsteps from behind me. My body went rigid with fear as I saw the shadow of the large creature behind me, stalking me.

Using all the will I had left, I turned to face my demise. I hugged the wall as my blood ran cold. The room was filled with a sickening silence, only interrupted by the occasional blare of the emergency siren. Standing before me was Specimen Six, the Xenomorph Drone which had been my focus of study for the past years I have worked here. She loomed above me with a staggering 8 foot tall stature. Her mesoskeleton was a cold black in color and her head carapace looked down upon me with the number six scorched into it. Her lean muscles were rigid as she stood there, unmoving, unnerving. Her long bony tail which ended in a sickening blade laid out across the floor with a slight swish in its motion.

I began to panic. I've seen this creature countless times from behind the glass or in restraints, but to see her standing in front of me, sizing me up like a freshly cooked steak, instilled a terror into me I had never known. My panic changed to hyperventilation as she suddenly took a step closer towards me. In a bolt of unimaginable speed she pinned me to the wall and pushed me to the floor. Her wicked claws just barely digging into my skin, letting a deep red stream of blood begin to trickle down my torso to the floor. Tears began to form as the doom ahead of me finally set in.

"P-please, don't do this" I mumbled in desperation. Six let out a low, deep reverberating click as they leaned down towards me. In one final action of hope I looked around for anything I could try to grab, but what I saw only made my dread for the near future unimaginably worse. Instead of a saving grace, what I saw was an opening in the ceiling tiles. Not only had Six escaped her containment unit, but she would soon get into the facility and free her kin as well. I could only begin to imagine the countless deaths a full Hive would unleash on my colleagues.

I looked back in horror as Six began to open its jaw, as thick saliva dripped from her mouth and onto my clothes, revealing her set of razor sharp, almost metallic teeth. I knew what awaited me next, I had seen the recordings of how Xenomorphs deal with captured prey. When Six had fully opened her mouth I saw the end of the line. From the abyss of her maw I watched as the secondary jaw finally came into view. I did all I could in my final moment. I closed my eyes and now await my fate.
