I FREAKING CALLED IT! RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING AND I DON'T CARE IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME!
(Please note it was just a thought in the back of my mind, but when it was realized it bust down my brain door and shouted throughout mah body.)
Excuse me that was very insincere of me. I knew something was off when I heard or pieced together Taiyang's story. Oh and their picture. Taiyang looked suspiciously like Jaune for some reason. And this odd nagging feeling in my mind went: "History will repeat itself! Mark my words they did that on purpose!"
And then, (What I think is) the last episode of Volume 3 happened.
DAYUM.
On the down side… there were casualties and I think there were some plot holes since some things kinda were weird at that last episode. On the (Jerk-ish) up side: one of my favorite ships has a higher chance of being cannon!
… Well that was kinda dark. Too bad if it took me over a year just to get through volume one, it'll be a while before I can get to Volume 3… unless I spend just a little more time with this…
Now a lot of people have their plans for it, and I have my own. Hopefully, when the time comes, it'll be just as game changing as the story.
"My head!" Resh complained as he was taken out of the memory machine and calmly placed on a nearby nurse bed.
"Well that was much faster than I expected it to be. And you don't look to good." The doctor spoke out as he offered some jelly babies to the guy.
The patient accepted the snacks. "Yeah, it sucked." The hunter in training rubbed his head as he made that understatement. He felt like years of information were crammed into his head. Technically speaking, years of information were crammed in his head.
He smirked as he took a seat on a bed across from the boy trying to get his wits together. "I figure, having six different life times worth of memories can be taxing to anyone."
"You have no idea—"
…
Resh blinked. He processed that last sentence very, very carefully. The doctor explained to him that the machine would first process the information before he could look at it. The boy had just gotten out of the memory machine, so it should be near impossible for the doctor to view all of that information so quickly.
Unless…
The doctor suddenly laughed at the frozen look on his patient's face. "You didn't think Chronos would just leave you here without someone to watch over you, did you?"
The wanderer's eyes shot up.
Knock! Knock!
"It's open!" The doctor cried out quickly while the boy in purple was still in shock. The scraggy doctor smirked and whispered, "We'll talk about this later." Before he quickly got up and went towards the opening door.
The child from the future finally snapped out of his stupor. "Oh no! We are not going to talk about this later!" He stood up and went after the doctor.
"Ms. Nikos? How may I help you?" The doctor ignored Resh completely and addressed the distressed looking champion of Mistrial.
"Pyrrha?" Resh called out to his mom as the two made eye contact. She looked worried.
"Resh, you're awake! Have you seen Jaune? I thought he would be here." The red haired girl looked around frantically.
"Wait what? I thought he was with you. I last saw him before…" The red eyed boy leered at the doctor beside him, who was just casually looking over a blank sheet of paper on a clipboard.
"I haven't seen him since this afternoon! I-I don't know why, but I over slept and Jaune doesn't have his scroll!"
He turned back towards his fellow teammate. "Wait, Jaune doesn't have his scroll? But he keeps his play tunes on them and webcomics."
"I thought he just accidentally left it, but he hasn't picked it up in a while, and it's getting late! I'm worried!" Pyrrha spoke out.
"OK OK, calm down. … What do you mean when you said you overslept?" Jared noted. Pyrrha never oversleeps.
"I-I don't know! I just woke up in the afternoon for some reason…" She bashfully spoke out.
Resh placed a palm on his head. 'Dang it Dad, I look away for just one day…'
Just where was he this time?
Oh he just knew that he was in a lot of trouble this time.
"At least I'm not tied up to a pole…." Though in hindsight being trapped in a laser powered jail cell was both cooler and potentially harder to escape from. "Oh and my motion sickness is gone."
Jaune looked around his new cell, it was less spacious than the tank he thought he was riding, but at least it was stationary and his stomach was feeling much better.
He tried to think back for a second. He was in the middle of the road being kidnapped by his school seniors then suddenly they got attacked by older model Knights from Atlas and an android that looked a lot like that Penny girl he met at the docks. For some reason they were after him… wait no.
Jaune checked his pockets quickly and found them to be completely empty. He recalled that the robots were after Resh's weapon for some reason, and it was like they knew what it really was which is weird now that he thought about it. Resh said his dad just gave it to him. What kind of person just gives their child a weapon, and not tell them a single thing about it? Seriously Resh's dad was sounding like a jerk if he didn't tell his own son where or what his weapon actually is. Though if Resh's dad was also a jerk, then that would explain a few things…
No, he needed to concentrate on how to get out of here first. He had no weapon, no scroll, literally nothing but the clothes on his back with no way out of this.
Well that could be a problem honestly. From what he could try to gather this place felt like something straight out of a Sci-Fi film. The walls were amazingly clean but they looked to be plated with metal he wasn't quite sure off. The laser wall that was keeping him in the cell had this odd humming noise, as if it was powered by some odd machine. Actually, looking at the laser wall, he could see through it somewhat.
There looked to be a much grander hallway outside Jaune's tiny cell. Unfortunately for the blonde, when he touched the cell doors, he immediately drew his hand back because he felt his fingers burning for a few seconds. It looked like the laser wall was untouchable.
At that moment, Jaune heard robotic footsteps approaching. He tilted his head as much as he away from the laser wall but got into an angle that allowed him to see a group of robots heading towards his direction.
"Hemera!?" Jaune screamed in surprise as he saw the unconscious form of the blonde girl being carried by the robots. He stepped back as they all came in front of his cell before tossing the body onto the floor and making their way out.
Jaune quickly went up to the girl to see if she was injured, but thankfully she just looked like she got unconscious.
Hemera seemed to be coming back to consciousness and blinked her eyes slowly towards Jaune. "L-Loki?"
The blonde boy seemed confused. "Loki? Hemera, it's me Jaune."
"J-Jaune?" The pink eyed girl gasped before getting back up quickly yet stopping for a second to clutch her head. "Oww… where are we?"
"You don't know?" Jaune asked.
"All I remember is catching up with that ship that took you… then I was in this weird room before… ow… I was shocked with high voltage…" She spoke as she accepted help up from Jaune.
"Well I was knocked out cold again, so I also don't know where we are… but I think it's some kind of high tech facility."
The blonde girl looked towards him. "What makes you say that?"
"The robots were one thing, and there is the fact that there is a flipping laser wall behind you." Jaune pointed behind her.
The blonde girl turned around to said laser wall and looked back at him. "Jaune, do you have anything on you right now?"
"No. Do you?"
The dual sword user looked through her person. "Unfortunately no. They must have confiscated my stuff as well."
"Well now you know how it feels! Seriously why did you kidnap me in the first place!?" Jaune complained.
"That… that… you won't like it." She voiced out hesitantly.
"But you did it anyway!" Jaune yelled at her. "And now look at where we are!?"
"It was an order from above! We weren't expecting your bloodline to come to Beacon of all places!"
Jaune paused at the odd choice of words that she used. "My bloodline?"
She looked shocked—as if simply saying that was already too much. She quickly turned around, trying to make herself sound calm. "Yes. Look, I would like to explain, but we need to get out of here. I have a bad feeling about this place."
"We're trapped in here with that laser wall. I don't see us getting out."
The older girl sighed. "Jaune, I can manipulate light into energy…" She went up to the wall of plasma and such and concentrated. Her eyes glowed white and she placed her hand in front of the wall, and her hand was allowed through. She then stepped towards the wall and placed both her hands through the laser wall then parted it away in a large gap. "You can say that it was lasers that I was shooting at you and Kolc."
Jaune blinked as Hemera stepped out, "Come on."
Penny?
It systems went over that word: a one-cent coin equal to one hundredth of a Lien. His processors went through over several likely reasons why the target would utter that word to him off all things. His memory banks were wiped out, but there was something about that word that was logged into his memory bank before his major memory wipe.
As he processed this, he walked into a large, other worldly, and almost alive like room alongside other robots. He motioned his optics towards the person gasping for breath as that person pushed their self back up on the large keyboard. "Interrogative: Are you alright, professor?"
A cold an electronic voice came out. "…Yes… the episode has died down, Copper. It's been getting stronger recently. I fear that she might have noticed by now, which simply means we must hurry. It's been taking so much to stay conscious… has the Armor of Zeus been recovered?"
The robot nodded as he took the damaged device and revealed it in his robotic palm. "Declarative: It has been collected, along with two subjects."
The device on the palm of the robot's hands started to levitate into the air, as if the other speaker was using their power to lift it up. "Good. Very… excuse me?" The mysterious professor asked. "What subjects?"
The robot pointed to the floor where a digital screen appeared in front of them showing basic information and pictures of the two in captive. "Declarative: The Ionic Converter was in the person of one blonde boy, who data banks suggest is named Jaune Arc, first year student of Beacon, and another one, Hemera Isis, second year—"
"I get it. I get it. What are they doing here?" He spoke as he calmly and slowly disabled the screen in the air. The robot could go off for hours if given the opportunity.
The robot formally explained that the two of them were nearby when they picked up the Armor Buckle.
"Where are they then?"
"Recorded Memory: They were placed in the Cell Unit." The robot watched as a digital screen appeared near the professor.
"… They aren't there."
"Observation: We placed them in the containment cell 432.3 seconds previously."
The video of the cell went on rewind, and it went on showing the girl opening the cell. "Activate security measures."
Jaune stared in awe at what he was looking at. There was just something that felt otherworldy about the halls he was walking in.
As they walked down the sleek halls they came into what looked to be a giant factory with floating orbs, and forge works. It really was huge, perhaps the entire room was as big as Beacon's main building with just how massive and vast it was. If Jaune would describe it, it could almost be like the room itself would be like another planet.
He and Hemeara gapped as they walked along a giant catwalk that viewed what looked to be the entire inside of the mountain.
There were many things that caught his attention, such as the giant floating molten core he saw from a rather impressive looking machine in the distance because of how big it was. It obviously looked like a major power source for all things here, but for some reason, he had this feeling dust was not being used. There was something in the air that made him feel nauseous and he really hoped it wasn't vertigo from when he looked down and did not see the bottom.
The room had many robotic conveyor belts, and many other catwalks that stretched along for miles, and what looked to be at the very top of the mountain was this strange Chrome like layered ceiling.
In one of the very many revolver belts he was passing by, he saw the process of the old Knights being reproduced, but something else was added into their in complete skulls, there was this odd looking chip, it was something strange… but that odd blue thing… why did it look so familiar?
Jaune felt his pockets once more yet still felt rather unwavering to have them all be empty. He saw bits of that odd blue disk that Resh was tinkering with! But why did these guys take it!? And is this where it came from!? Wait it doesn't make sense!
Speaking of not making sense…
"Hemera, what did you mean by my bloodline?" Jaune asked her as they walked the vast catwalk. He felt the need to duck as he saw a large container of molten liquid pass over them as if they weren't even there. "Why did you try to kidnap me? And where is Pyrrha?"
"I-I'm not allowed to talk about it." Hemera spoke out, trying to focus her gaze in front of her.
Jaune huffed and walked up faster to grab the girl in her shoulder and force her back towards him. "Well I do! What have you done to my partner!?"
Why is it that when he looked to her eyes, he saw worry, fear, and hesitation? She and her team… did something to him and his friend, and worst of all she wasn't saying anything about it, so why was she the one who looked scared and confused?
"I-I-I… umm it's not-I'm not," She struggled greatly to say the words. "I… you… I'm-I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I-I can't… I just can't… not again…"
The way her eyes were looking at him, it was almost like Jaune wasn't even in front of her. She was in her own world, wasn't she? Or more than likely, she was remembering a sad trauma and Jaune had just triggered it.
So much for answers.
Still Hemera seemed hesitant about kidnapping him. She was the only one bothering to talk to him after all, and she did help him. Not to mention, she did get them both out of the cage. He wanted answers, but forcing someone who wasn't ready wasn't exactly his taste.
…
Huh?
What's that blaring noise?
The entire factory suddenly stopped as all robotic limbs and floating observer orbs turned towards Jaune and Hemera.
The blonde girl looked around, seemingly out of whatever episode she was having, and her eyes widened as she realized…
"Run!" The blonde girl cried out, before picking a direction to make a mad sprint.
However, all of the incomplete droid suddenly jumped off their conveyer belts and surrounded the two Beacon Students in the catwalk they were on.
Hemera's fists glowed, but then she looked behind at Jaune and lowered her semblance. She could probably make a mistake, but she wouldn't know if Jaune would be able to keep up.
More knights came towards their position, making the girl realize she choose right to surrender.
As the robots all closed in, Jaune couldn't help but wonder where on Remnant were they exactly?
Stepping on the giant mountain paths, the Jabberwocky Grim snarled as it slithered its way to the top of the mountain.
It growled angrily, focusing on something at the top of the mountain as if there was something different about this empty mountain from all the other ones from this mountain range.
As it made its way towards the top, a shadow cast itself over the mighty creature, but it paid no heed to it. The simple reason for this was because another Jabberwocky Grimm flying over it, moving faster towards the top of the mountain before the climbing one.
As soon as it passed over, another passed on, then another, then another, then several more, then a dozen…
It wasn't just the skies, more Jabberwocky started climbing alongside the first one, all of them—in numbers up to the hundreds—gaining faster and faster speeds towards the top of this random mountain in a dark swarm.
Jaune and Hemera were lead to a rather empty but vast looking room where a strange figure in a hooded, chrome cloak was standing.
The knight's eyes; however, were more focused towards something right in front of the figure: it was Resh's buckle! And it was being fixed—or was he adding into it?
The chrome cloaked figure turned to the humans, and they were both surprised to see a man wearing a large robotic mask that seemed to be connected to his face. He had glowing red eye lens and a silver face plate. Behind his cloak, he was wearing some kind of pure chrome-like fabric that looked half cloth half metallic with glowing lines that looked familiar to Resh's Armor mode.
"Thank you Copper, as well as all of you." Jaune blinked at that. As imposing as the figure scared him was, he did not expect him to sound so grateful towards robots. He quickly glanced over to the Android with a face, and he saw that a small smile appeared on the lips.
"Who are you?" Hemera asked as they were led in by the groups of robots.
"Who I am is not important. You there, boy. I have questions for you." The figure spoke as he walked towards him, the ground beneath him was lighting up.
"Who me?" Jaune pointed to himself and looked back to the figure after he was still staring at the familiar looking android.
"Answer these questions honestly and I will both let you go freely back to where you belong. Now, where did you get this?" The man described The Armaments of Raijin that as currently being fixed up by strange digital looking machines.
Jaune blinked, the thought of him going home sounded nice, but there was just something off putting about this strange being. His voice sounded too smooth and natural to be a robot, so was he the maker of all these robots?
Come to think of it…
"Wait, so just checking, I answer these questions, and you'll bring me back to Vale?" Jaune started.
Hemera's eyes widened. "Wait! You can't go back to Vale!"
"You freaking kidnapped me! Why wouldn't I go back to Beacon?" Jaune looked back at her, and made the blonde girl wince.
"I'm sorry what?" The masked figure started. "I thought we kidnapped you."
"You kidnapped me after she and her friends kidnapped me!" The blonde boy pointed over to the pink rose eyed girl.
"You got kidnapped, while being kidnapped?" The masked figure seemed genuinely confused and curious at that. He shook his head. "Never mind, kid. Stick to the question. This is very important to me: where did you get this?" He motioned to the levitating and spinning buckle Jaune had on him.
The longer this went on, the longer Jaune didn't feel himself to be in trouble, sure he was surrounded by robots that could kill him at the snap of his finger, but even so there was something jarring about this leader and his mask. He was offering him to go back, so maybe there was merit in telling him everything honestly. "It belonged to my friend, Resh Kolc. He told me his father got it, but he wasn't sure where his father got it from."
"Wait a sec. Did you say Resh… Kolc?"
The young knight blinked and felt his eyes widened. "What? You know him!?"
The masked man looked at him slowly. "No, but I know someone with the same surname as him. … It makes sense his family would have it, but why did I find clues of that family only now?" He placed a hand onto his plated chin and wondered out loud. He then looked back to Jaune. "Who are you anyway?"
Despite feeling a little down that his name originally wasn't important enough, the blue eyed boy answered plainly. "I'm Jaune Arc."
The being stopped thinking and looked at him with closer inspection. "An Arc as well? That cannot be a coincidence."
"I-uh excuse me?"
Before anything else could be said, the room started flashing red with a high pitched alarm sound.
The masked figure seeming looked at something before his body language changed completely. "WHAT!? HOW DID—no. I should have seen this coming! But why now of all times?!"
"What is going on?" Hemera cried out as she looked around, some of the robots surrounding them were already leaving.
The masked figure pointed to the Android. "Copper, get these two back to Vale!"
"Altered quote: If you wish to live, please follow me to the aerial deck." The robot calmly stated before walking towards a different path of the room before it opened up.
"No wait, what's going on?!" Jaune called out this time.
The figure grabbed Resh's buckle and started to work on a digital screen that appeared in thin air. "We're under attack. Go follow Copper, he'll bring you home."
"Under attack? What? Where are we anyway? Why did you ask me about Resh's buckle!? What's… I-I don't understand what's going on!" Jaune screamed.
The masked man suddenly laughed at that. "I believe it is best if you do not know what is going on. Go home, and forget about everything you saw here. You'll be safer that way."
Jaune hesitantly looked at the man, unsure of what to really do. It was then that the masked scientist pointed his hand on the ground. The floor beneath the two of them literally shot up and pushed both Hemera and Jaune away onto the door where Copper left. As soon as they were pushed through, the opening closed into a wall much as if it had never been opened in the first place.
"What was that?" Jaune felt the wall and noticed how thick it was, but he also felt like it was made out of a different material form all the other walls here.
"Probably a Semblance or something…" Hemera silently spoke out before walking ahead of Jaune.
The whole place shook violently.
That got them both to hurry at whatever they were going to do.
They ran down the closed hallway that was still flashing red until they came into a large hangar where the strange black ship that picked them up was stationed.
The ground shook again.
"Alert: Grimm have swarmed over outer layer dust cannons. Danger Levels set to level 3. Please board Black Bird Stealth Craft in order for proper evacuation." The Android spoke out before opening the back door to the ship. "Declaration: Move into ship before swarm reaches hangar doors."
Hemera silently went in ahead with a hidden and determined look in her face, but Jaune looked to the familiar looking robot. "Umm Copper, right?"
"Confirmation: That is this designated unit's name. Default response: How may I help you?" He politely spoke as the ground shook again and distant roars were heard.
This robot had just answered him plainly. Strange, did the leader or creator not think to have some form of lock to prevent this robot from giving out information? This was a chance to finally find out what was going on wasn't it?
Jaune looked hesitantly between the open ramp of the ship and the robot. But he exhaled and looked towards the robot. "What is this place? What's going on?"
"Updating…" The robot closed his eyes before opening again. "Answer: This is Professor Jekyll Zordon's hidden laboratory hidden in the Covenant Mountain range. As for current events, we are under attack by approximately 124 Jabberwocky Grimm swarming into the lab as we speak."
The blonde boy's eyes widened in surprise. "Over a hundred Jabberwocky Grimm?! It took just 13 of us to kill three of them! Wait, why are they all coming here?"
"Observation: they are more than likely after the professor." Copper spoke out.
"Why?"
"Response: Classified. User is not cleared for that information." The robot responded.
Jaune sighed. There was something off about all this. Why did that robot guy capture him in the first place? And why was he so willing to let him go. Jaune was confused about all of this, but that small conversation he had at the end…
You'll be safer that way.
"Why… why did he take me?" It feels weird that someone willing to kidnap him would also care for his safety. Not to mention the surreal state of this entire day… he needed answers.
"Answer: Professor Zordon was searching for the Aurora Ionic Converter for over 90 years. He recently detected a signal from it recently and sent a team of his drones to capture and retake the object. He also noted to bring the person who was in possession of object so that he may question him."
Jaune felt like he had just stumbled on to something really deep and complicated the more answers he got.
"Resh's buckle? 90 years? W-Why was he after that?"
"Answer: Professor Zordon created it, so he sought it back. It is the only weapon that has the potential to both cure him and kill his sworn enemy. Though it would need time, and that is something he currently doesn't have."
Yep, something was telling him he was waaayyyyyy over his head with this.
The Alarms suddenly stopped, but what followed was a much large earthquake followed by distant sounds of gunfire and explosions.
Hemera came back out. "Hey! The alarms are getting louder in the plane! And I think I can hear a lot of Grimm coming over! We need to leave! Now!"
Jaune looked around one more time. There was another open hallway from the opposite side of where he entered.
As he heard the familiar roars of distant Jabberwocky Grimm, Jaune looked towards the ship that would get him back home.
Another quake hit the ground. It felt closer this time and the sounds of the Grimm sounded dangerously close.
"Warning: The Jabberwocky Grimm have breached outer hull, infestation imminent in… 10 minutes. Suggestion: We must leave now." Copper spoke to Jaune.
Jaune paused for a second, looking once more between Hemera, Copper and the other hallway. He was un armed, had no semblance, and definitely not equipped to take on an army of A class Grimm since it took his entire team to just take out one of them out. It made more sense to leave with Hemera and Copper back to his safe place back at Beacon where his friends were…
There were just robots here after all, and that weird plated mask guy that still technically kidnapped him. Heck, if Hemera didn't take him, he would hate to see them kidnap him from Beacon.
It made so much sense to just leave right now and leave it to the person who looked like he could handle it.
Hold up. There was something important that he skimmed over.
"Copper, where did you say we were again?"
"Answer: Covenant Mountains. Specifically we are in Mount Joru, a mountain chosen for it's plain and unremarkable appearance from all the others."
They were in a mountain? Jaune looked out the hanger, if they were in a mountain…
Wait a sec!
"Copper, can you lead me back to the Professor?!" Jaune looked to the robot.
"Conflict: But the professor ordered me to…"
Jaune grabbed him in the shoulders and looked at him in the robotic lens. He knew they were fake but something about them still looked alive. The knight was gambling, but ever since he saw Copper, he felt something was different about this one.
Time to see if it worked.
"I have a plan, if you can get me back to him, we can stop these Grimm and save the Professor!"
The familiar android paused and looked down.
"Well it's just an idea, but I do remember a friend telling me about one of their weakness. But I can't help him if you won't."
The robot looked back at Jaune, his eyes looked more animated, more… hopeful. "Unknown: can you really save him?"
"…" Jaune nodded once.
"Jaune! What are you doing!?" Hemera screamed.
"… Something stupid! Just try to leave without me!" He yelled out before bolting toward the open hallway and dragging Copper with him by the arm.
"Question: how do you intend to help the professor?"
"Well umm… can you tell me more about that giant core in that huge room that you captured me in?" Jaune's voice died down as he left the hanger.
Hemera stared at disbelief as Jaune and Copper ran away. As they did the Hanger doors were starting to open. The blond haired girl looked over to the main computers. She had already reset the codes on the computer to have the ship lead them to Vacuo instead of Vale, but Jaune obviously didn't take the ship.
"Monty damit, he is just as stubborn as Loki."
Jaune was inwardly screaming at himself. He just had to play hero, didn't he? Ugh, he wondered how Pyrrha and the others were doing. Was she really safe? Maybe he just gave up his only chance of seeing any of th—
Better not think that.
"WHOA!" Jaune lost his step at the new explosion from up ahead. Smoke was now starting to fill out into the hallway.
As he ran into the next opening, he had to duck as an impressive machine exploded nearby, forcing him to look away. He opened his eyes, and beyond the smoke he witnessed more Jabberwocky Grimm than he thought possible.
All of them were fighting against countless robots swarming over them, and pinning them down hard, the robots fought valiantly, but the Jabberwocky were larger, and stronger. He saw one Jabberwocky grab several with its tail and toss them into a wall to shatter. He saw another one devour two old robot knights and saw their bodies melt under thick levels of corrosion in their mouth.
But the knights had teamwork and numbers on their side. No matter how many the Jabberwockies destroyed, more swarmed out of the other corridors, pilling on top of one unsuspecting Grimm to the point where they started ripping off their rotting flesh piece by painful piece even though it was regenerating.
The sounds of roaring monstrosities, the deafening booms of nearby explosions, and the earth moving quakes as more and more fighting started spreading everywhere he looked…
It was war.
War was nothing like he had seen behind the safety of a movie or television screen, it was loud, disorienting, and not to mention fearful.
He had chosen this? Instead of going back home?
The loud and vivid sounds of snarling snapped Jaune back into reality as a Jabberwocky descended right in front of him.
Jaune stared at it before mindlessly reaching for a blade that he didn't have. As his fingers grabbed nothing but air, he looked back down and realized once more he had no weapon, no team, and no friends.
Yet he still ran here with the intention to save someone.
He was stupid.
As he looked at the large monster like Grimm inhale its poisonous breath, he could only hate himself for being so stupid for underestimating the Grimm.
Then something punched the Grimm with inhuman strength, causing the creature to be blown away and knock into another one of its kind.
Copper landed in front of Jaune, as if punching the creature almost three times its size was nothing.
"Observation: you are quivering in your legs."
Jaune looked down and saw his legs shaking. He wasn't like this before. He didn't do this the first time. Was it because he had friends behind him? Was he really that useless without anyone?
"Sorry… I… I just wasn't expecting… all off…" Jaune's arm was suddenly grabbed by Copper as he pulled him away.
No sooner than he did, boulders crashed down where Jaune was originally.
"Analysis: We cannot turn back." Copper spoke out before grabbing Jaune's hand again. "Declaration: we must stop by somewhere else before regrouping with the Professor and initiating your plan."
And with that he jumped off, running towards a wall with Hunter Level speeds before it opened up for him as if the walls themselves were alive for him.
Copper sped through the door and slid to a stop, causing Jaune to fall down from the sudden stop of air velocity.
"Oww. Ugh, where are we?" The room they were now in looked eerily similar to where the professor was. However, in the middle of the room, there was a small bracelet floating in some kind of glass orb.
"Statement: this is the Prototype 4 room. Here is one of the later attempts of recreating the Aurora Ionic Converter after its loss approximately a century ago." Copper motioned to the floating device.
"Wait prototype? Recreation? Are you saying…?" The boy trialed off as he looked at the bracelet with a see-through, beautiful, smaller, diamond shaped Dust crystal implanted on it.
Copper nodded, basically verifying what Jaune assumed. "Exposition: it has the same purpose as the original A.I.C., multiplying the battle efficiency of a user greatly. Declaration: originally, I had intended to let you borrow it on our way back up to the Professor's main chamber and to use it since the radiation levels of his Nuclear Core may damage you without it, but I see now that would be detrimental."
"Wait what? Why? And why do we need this to get to the Professor? Can't you just call him so I can tell him how to escape?"
"Exposition: too much interference, the professor will be diverting much power to defense rather than communication. The only viable option is to power through the battlefield in order to reach the Professor's room which is currently being swarmed by over fifty regenerative A-class Grimm. But it will not work, as of right now, you are in a state of panic and fear that my instruments are picking up. If you were to take the prototype now at your current emotional state..."
Jaune snapped back into memory of how he and his friend fought against a rage induced man wearing armor.
The armor increases the main emotional state.
"If I wear it now, I'll be twice as afraid as right now huh?" Jaune finished as he stood back up and ignored whether or not Copper was confirming or saying nothing to him.
He thought back and asked himself: why wasn't afraid before? He was a liar among actual heroes and talent, so how exactly was he able to progress so far?
His memory flashed with the thoughts of the rising sun, along with that cocky smile and jerkish attitude that always riled him up to kick his ass no matter how out of breath her was.
His memory flashed with the thoughts of the beautiful shattered moon, her red hair and calming serene smile to ease him and prod him to be better than he ever was.
Right… them. Not just those two, but he always strove to become better, to actually be worthy of standing up to them, actually being worthy of being the leader of four great and amazing people.
And of course…
Jaune, there is a lead.
He needed to be a hunter. There was someone he had to find. Only a hunter could enter into that place and survive, and that was where his answers lied.
"I'm scared. Yes, I really am. I am probably way over my head because of this. Yet…" Jaune sighed and clenched his fist. "I have no choice but to keep moving forward. There are things I still need to do, but I don't want to let someone die in vain if I have anything to say about it."
Jaune stared back up at Copper. "Give it to me please."
Copper looked at Jaune before nodding his head. He grabbed the prototype off the bubble and tossed it to him.
Jaune placed the item around his wrist he was surprised to find it so comfortable and light, almost as if it wasn't there.
He looked at the crystal as he completed tying it to his wrist, and with little instruction from Copper, he activated the piece of technology and felt what Resh, Ruby, and Ren experienced.
There was a certain clarity he had when the light show died down.
Memories of his friends came rushing to his mind, past events of Jaune hanging out with his friends and each time learning something new about them and himself as he watched them.
It was not memories of battle, of Grimm, of chaos.
It was the memories of why he was doing this.
A digital screen appeared before Jaune, and he saw his reflection on the mirror.
He truly did look like a knight. A knight in shining armor, Yang or maybe even Resh would tease. He probably didn't deserve to wear something like this, but none the less, he was a beautiful white and gold armor with a regal blue cape behind him that had his symbol etched into the cape.
{Author Notes: for the sake of imagery, I based his armor to look like this (Remove the Space and "()"): (http) : / / gameofkings . wdfiles local - files / armor – descriptions / Full % 20 Plate . (jpg)}
"Whoa!" He looked at himself like a boy trying out his first Halloween costume. "T-This is awesome!"
"Analysis: You are now at 200% output. Please note, unlike the original Converter, its power has been greatly reduced. Instead of the usual, 1000% increase in battle efficiency it is 200% since the power could not be easily replicated."
So instead of multiplying one's ability by ten, it just double it? Jaune supposed that was fair, but something came to his mind.
"Will this drain my aura?" He looked back to the robot.
"Answer: no. This was designed after that flaw was detected. It has the potential to be kept on, and does not drain Aura. However, because it can access your Aura pool differently than the original, you cannot use your semblance while in that state."
Huh, apparently not having a semblance yet was actually handy for once.
"Copper, now I'm ready. Bring me to the professor! I feel like I can take the Grimm on now for sure!"
"******************************!"
A deafening and inhuman roar echoed throughout the entire mountain, causing Jaune and even Copper to wince at the horrible sound echoing even in the sealed room.
"I just had to open my mouth…" Jaune faceplamed himself—and felt the world go dizzy since he forgot he was wearing armor and had just smacked his armored head with his armored hand.
Copper closed his eyes, before snapping them back open. "Alert! Alert! Warning: Class SS Grimm detected! Designated: Jörmungandr!"
"Wait! Did you just say SS class!? I didn't even know there could be two S's!" As soon as Jaune screamed the entire mountain shook violently as possible and it was even worse than before.
Copper grabbed Jaune's plated arm again. "Declaration: We must move! The Giant Worm Grimm is tunneling through the mountain base and will reach Professor Z's room in two minutes! I know a path that leads from here directly to his room, whatever you are planning, make sure it works!"
"I really don't know if it will work nooOOOWW!?" Jaune cried before he was whisked away again by Copper. Work or not, he was trapped here in this hell hole with fighting all around.
Professor Zordon had a very peculiar semblance. It was the ability to manipulate any and all machines to his will, also known as Technopathy.
As such, in a place full of machines, even the very room he was in, he would have much much power.
However, it was all in preparation for her.
The False Queen of Monsters.
The ground shook violently, and a large worm like creature with over a dozen eyes on its side burst open from the liquid like ground to the giant empty room he was in. The piece of the Grimm's body digging into the room was already filling up more than 70 percent of it, and it was barely a fraction of its entire size.
A Jörmungandr, a very very powerful and rare Grimm. No one was sure if this creature was just the only one of its kind, or of a select few left. Either way, its color definitely represented something vicious.
The giant worm Grimm… was pure white.
Pure white Grimm meant that they were practically around since the beginning of time. Their fur had crystallized to the point of being its own armor thicker than ten Goliaths. Not only that, it was rumored that the White Grimm have sentience. Not exactly the ability to speak, but they can think and plan, and command lesser Grimm.
The, large, uncanny six eyes on one side of the worm Grimm all zoomed in on the professor before it landed its empty face in front of him. Red lines started appearing in the empty head of the creature until it opened up, revealing that the red lines were actually its jagged crimson fangs opening wide.
(Jekyll, it has been a long time my love.)
Something stepped out of the insides of the creature, something that would have made even steel skin crawl.
The professor threw away his cloak, revealing a mostly plated robotic body that was brimming with accelerating power. "I suppose it has been a long time. You haven't changed much I see."
The being stepped forward, the sounds of a woman's heel clicking on the ground as this being threaded towards the professor.
(You on the other hand, I suppose time has not been kind to you…)
"Even though I am like this because of you."
(MY FAULT!?)
The room shook and cracked, electricity coursed through the entire room, but Jekyll remained calm.
(IT WAS THEY WHO TOOK ME FROM YOU! THOSE WANDERERS TOOK YOU FROM ME!)
"Smith, Kolc, and Jill saved my life. It was thanks to them I was able to even escape you in the first place and have my Aura opened up. It prevented me from becoming… you!"
(Why? Why would you deny the truth! We were all meant to be like this! We were meant to return to our true state!)
"True, original state!? What you did… whatever you think you made yourself is nothing but an abomination! An Abomination that you almost turned me into!"
(Oh my poor love. Allow me to pry off that accursed tin can off you, so you can see the way I see.)
He felt the air turn cold despite having mostly robotic limbs. His heart and his mind still felt the chill of it, the fear, the power.
She was a False Queen, but her power was very, very real.
The professor readied himself.
"I won't let you do that Rita. Idea Room, engage Queen Slayer Program."
And thus the false deities proceeded to have a 'disagreement'.
Copper stopped running down the hall and looked directly above him. "Alert: High level Aura outputs detected!"
"Whoa, yeah… I can definitely feel them. OK change of plans, Copper, we need to get to the core first." Jaune admitted that while the power boost was really helpful, he couldn't really do much without his weapon. The best thing the prototype armor was doing was helpful in avoiding being attacked by Jabberwocky Grimm.
However, his heightened senses… they were all screaming to run away from the clash of two massive auras coming from up above him. It was really weird; he never felt such raw power before in his life that made his skin crawl. Is this what it was like whenever Resh puts on his armor?
Still while making their way back towards the top of the underground lab, Jaune had been asking about the layout of the mountain lab.
"Declaration: We are passing by it. It may take a quick detour—warning! Obstruction detected!"
"What kind of obstruct… OK that does seem like a problem."
He noted the giant white Grimm body that was blocking the hallway completely.
A giant eye black eye with a red pupil swam across the body like a living parasite and stared at Jaune and Copper.
The reflection of Jaune and Copper started twisting, started becoming distorted, and then they jumped out of the eyes like zombies.
"Warning: The Jörmungandr has unleashed its ability to unleash false reflections at us!"
Jaune paled as more reflections started falling from the giant eye, the two turned back, trying instead for a detour while avoiding a swarm of fake reflections.
However, as they turned around, they were cornered by several more Jabberwocky Grimm.
The two went back to back as they were surrounded by the enemy on both sides. Then several blats of light pierced through the necks of the Jabberwocky and killed them on the spot.
Jaune looked up. "Hemera!?"
"Damit Jaune! Whatever you're doing, just do it!" The girl's light brightened up and unleashed a wave of light energy at the reflections, making them melt from the opposite element.
"Why didn't you leave?"
"Just go!" She yelled as she jumped down from a catwalk and ignited her semblance.
However, Copper took something out of his cloak, and tossed two familiar cylindrical devices towards Hemera for the girl to catch.
"Oh, thanks." She smiled as she re ignited the dual laser blades she wielded.
"Observation: Jaune we must take the secondary path to reach the main control room. Follow me."
"I guess… thanks Hemera!" He called out as he ran with Copper. Hemera sighed and turned towards the giant eye now summoning fake reflections of her.
"I wouldn't be surprised if that is what I really look like underneath…" Hemera readied herself before trying to blast at the huge evil eye.
He fought hard, but no matter how many machines he had with him, her power just kept growing.
The punch that was blocked made an echoing sound and unleashed a devastating amount of kinetic energy. He slid back from the blow, but stomped hard on the floor, causing spikes to shoot from below and pierce his enemy. The liquid metal only shattered on contact with her skin.
She pushed the broken spikes away like curtains, and summoned a black and red falchion blade to spin in her palm as it cackled with red electricity.
The floor beneath the chrome warrior shot out a drop of strange metallic liquid. He grabbed the liquid and it instantly formed into broadsword.
In one second, the two had clashed blades. The previous distance between the two fighters had been closed before anyone could even realize it. They clashed electricity sparked over the room from the sheer power output of their fight.
They broke off their clashing powers only to exchange in a flurry of slashes strong enough to make shock waves from either party, each f them fought like expert dancers, following each other's movements in mathematical harmony. The chromed being motioned his free hand allowing the floor to shoot up and grab the false Queen's hand before he unleashed a devastating swing of his blade. His opponent countered with her own empowered strike, causing them both to back away from the explosive contact. The chrome being rocketed towards the wall, but the material around him absorbed him and spit him out to cancel the momentum. The false queen had only more spikes waiting for her when she would impact with the wall, but mid air she regained composure and burned away the wall made out of the chrome material.
She landed and turned to her opponent. A powerful blast was launched and to counter it, the floor beneath was raised as high as a wall to counter the dangerous energy. The attack was absorbed, but the chromed scientist spun and kicked his barrier in front of him, shattering it into pieces and making it all dart toward his enemy like spiked bullets.
The enemy swung evaded and countered the spikes, swatting all individual spikes away like flies. Gathering energy into her fist, she punched down—only to hit open air as the ground beneath her opened up and the energy she accumulated shot downward right into a body part of the Worm Grimm, causing it to trash in pain and tear more of the underground lab apart as it wailed around. In its pain, it sunk its head back down the hole it created.
The scientist was distracted as the worm trashed around. Then he was suddenly blindsided by something moving fast.
He felt a piercing heel on his chest and a mind numbing feeling eating away at his human conscious.
(You fight well my love, but it is time to give in.)
"AAAKKK!" The scientist screamed, at the same time, all robotic sentries fell to the ground, feeling their connection to their master be servered.
(Finally, after all these years—)
The being turned around to avoid a rocket missile flying by that exploded in the distance.
(Who dares?!)
"Holy Crap! What is that thing!?" A knight and orange haired android wielding an empty RPG.
"Professor!" Copper yelled out loud as he looked at the downed chrome warrior.
"C-Copper? Why are you here?!" The fallen man rose up and was very shocked at the appearance of both the boy, Copper… and the prototype armor!?
The enemy being pointed a blast of dark energy towards the two, making the knight tackle down the android to safety.
The being then saw the familiar symbol on the back of the knight's cape.
Sudaldanar morphenix criteus balragnadax jusuemien! (ANOTHER ACCURSED ARC!?)
"Wh-what the heck is that noise!?" Jaune worryingly pointed at the strange human like Grimm that had just unleashed a strange series of unpleasant sounds.
Copper slammed his robot and none covered arm into the strange metal room and a surge of electrical lines briefly flashed over the entire room.
"Command: Idea Room, activate Hoodwinked Protocol!"
The room flashed in bright silver that blinded the False Queen.
As the light died down, all three of them were gone.
(AAAAAAH***********!)
While the being was screaming, the False Queen did not notice that there was a countdown screen placed behind her.
"Who-What the heck was that!?" Jaune frantically screamed as he was helping the weakened professor over his shoulder. He was kind of baffled at what that strange Woman shaped Grimm was. Even before Copper stopped by to take an RPG from the armory, he had felt such strong auras clashing against each other. Then he felt a much more sinister and darker one slowly beat out the other one.
"I should be asking questions here, why are you two still here!? I thought I sent you where it should have been safe!" The professor spoke out as he was being carried quickly by both Jaune and Copper.
"Designated user: Jaune, has thought of a way to defeat the enemy Grimm. However, it was at the expense that he overloaded the welding core."
"He did what!? Do you have any idea how much power the wielding core has!? I had to use an experimental power source called nuclear energy to power it! It's very experimental and unstable!"
"Well in my defense, a friend of mine said that the weakness of the Jabberwocky Grimm was fire, so it stood to reason by making this place explode, you could kill a lot of Grimm. So I was kind of hoping that we would save you, get to some escape which I found out we can just use the jet we were supposed to use, and leave before the timed explosion could happen. It's not my fault that I wasn't expecting some kind of she demon to appear!"
"… Why are you wearing the prototype armor?"
"*********!"
The earth would not stop shaking as long as the SS class Grimm was still alive. Right now, with its head bursting through the ceiling and looking at the three.
Borat nasusamet.
(Jekyll, I GROW impatient.)
Jekyll stood back up and quickly pushed the two boys away. "Boys, go. This time I meant it. Mobile Idea Room: Shield!"
Out of the worm's mouth a beam of energy shot out before the professor summoned a chrome shield to absorb the attack.
The professor looked towards the ship and saw used his will to forcibly open the Hangar doors. Alarm bells rang out as he held the beam in place.
"Go now!"
"I refuse to leave you!" Copper screamed, sounding more emotional than a robot.
At that moment, more Jabberwocky Grimm swarmed through the open Hangar doors, and made their way towards the three, standing over the one chance they had at escape.
"Oh no." Jaune paled. This was getting a lot worse by the second.
The beam suddenly stopped and she dropped from the ceiling, between them and the ship.
The Grimm that looked like a human female with tendrils for hair and eyes as black as Grimm fur. Her pupils were a demonic crimson and everything about her screamed danger.
(It is over Jekyll, after all these years, you will finally see what I have to offer. And our children can finally evolve into the true beings they were from the beginning…)
They were surrounded by the enemy at all sides, Grimm as far as the eye could see and a being whose power almost felt godlike.
Not to mention, Jaune had the idea of overriding the main core of this laboratory.
Ugh, was he really that stupid?
Was this it?
Was Jaune going to die just like that strange Grimm on the floor—wait what?
"That Grimm! Isn't that a Time Eater?" The chromed man pointed to the sudden appearance of a strange crystallized and destroyed Grimm on the floor that appeared right in front of the strange female Grimm.
Opnaluiv dak!
(A Time Eater? But how… NNOO!)
She raised her hand towards the three but suddenly froze.
"Umm… what-what's going on?" Jaune looked around but saw everything just… frozen. Wait a sec. Frozen? Hadn't he seen something eeriely similar to this before?
"Resh?"
"Ooh close, but no cigar."
Jaune turned around, seeing as he was the only one to move, but then saw an older man wearing a large purple cloak that was covering his face.
"You must be Jaune Arc. Good to see you again… or is this the first time?" The man had a certain flair that really really made him feel like the young knight's friend back at Beacon.
"Resh, is that you?" Jaune carefully called out.
"Whoops, no sorry." The purple cloaked man laughed heartily. "The name's Chronos Kolc, Resh Kolc's devilishly handsome older brother I'm afraid." There was a certain northern accent he had as he made some eerily familiar movements.
But this was Resh's older brother that he heard about? Dear Monty that ego of his is genetic? Jaune mentally paled at the thought of meeting Resh's entire family… wait. Go back to something important.
"Did… did you just freeze time? Wait, do all of Resh's family have a time manipulation Semblance?"
"I wish that was the bloody case, we'd all have quite the fun in happy hour then. Nah, fact remains only Resh, the young chap, has the ability to manipulate time to a much better extent. My semblance is a little more… versatile."
"Wait what? But…. Everything around us is frozen…" Jaune looked around, but noticed that the bodies of the Grimm were starting to crack.
"Unfortunately I can't have a complete freeze like Resh can do," He spoke before he touched both Copper and Jekyll, making them both vanish in thin air with a strange popping sound. "Of course intervening this much would be a problem, but then again the circumstance of this timeline has already been quite unstable…"
"Wh-what did you do!?" Jaune screamed and pointed to where Copper and the professor where moments ago.
"Same thing I did with that beauty with the lightsaber knockoffs, I sent them home," But then there was something in his palm that he brought out, it was Resh's Armaments of Raijin all fixed up. "Now then, best get you out of here before Rita shatters the time lock." Chronos touched Jaune's shoulder and then the two vanished in an instant.
Jaune blinked as he found himself back at the corners of Beacon, and he was already out of that armor. Actually, the wrist band he had that allowed him to transform was already in Chronos's hands somehow as he put it in his cloak pockets.
"Shame you didn't have a weapon, I'd wager you'd have kicked ass if you just had that saber of yours."
Jaune looked over to the familiar school he snuck into. "I-I'm back at Beacon? Wha-how did—"
"As I said, and have a nasty feeling I will be repeating myself, my semblance is different from my brother. Think of this as teleportation. I simply brought you back to Beacon to go back to your friends."
"Stop! Stop! My head is just hurting… what the heck is going on here!?" Jaune pointed to his friend's older brother.
The taller purple cloaked figure looked up to the shattered moon. "It's bloody complicated."
"You're telling me? I don't even know what's happening any more, just this morning, I was just supposed to relax, when suddenly, an amazing amount of whatever happens! What is going on!? Why is Resh's weapon over 90 years old? How did he even get a weapon like that in the first place?! Who was that robotic professor guy? Why did Hemera kidnap me!? I want answers dang it, because I am confused as all—"
"Alright, alright, perhaps you do deserve answers." Chronos interrupted him, sounding a bit guilty and nervous. "But there's a problem."
"Problem? What problem?"
"Well… let's just say, for the sake of argument that you were not quite ready for the answers, what would you say to that?"
"What!? What do you mean, I'm not ready for the answers!?"
Chronos sighed and walked over to a nearby rock before sitting down on it. "Now, before you blow a casket, listen to me a bit. I cannot tell you or my brother about what is going on and what I am doing—at least not yet. You're gonna have to be patient for a bit before I can tell you those things."
"Why wait? I'm confused!"
"And if I tell you everything right now, you'll only be more confused. Like I said, I'm in something deep. If you really really, want to know, you're going to have to ask Resh for his greatest secret first to understand what is really going on."
Jaune paused after hearing that. "Resh's… secret? What that he didn't want to go to Beacon in the first place and that you sent him here?"
"That is one of them, but I'm talking a little more personal than that. He has to be the one to tell you freely, and it will change your relationship with him forever."
Jaune raised his brow at the strange wording of that. "Is he… gay? Not that there's anything wrong with with being gay, but that does explain why he isn't into Y—"
The older brother laughed plainly. "Don't you think that if he was gay, he would have mentioned it to you? Have you seen him look at anyone romantically like that?"
Jaune thought back a bit, Resh had never shown much interest in anyone but him— "HOLY CRAP!? DOES HE LIKE ME!?"
He-he didn't know how to deal with this! He was pretty sure he was a straight…
Hey, why did Chronos fall off the rock? … And why is he laughing so manically?
"Oooh! OoH! Ha! Th-That's a good one! You assume a male friend is attracted to you romantically, yet you can't detect the feelings of the opposite gender!? Oh you're a riot, you are!"
"What is that supposed to mean?" Jaune did not understand what he meant by that at all. Chronos was still wildly laughing. "OK! OK! FINE! What's Resh's secret he's hiding?"
The laughing suddenly stopped as Chronos got up from the ground. "… A secret he does not want to share with anyone, not because he is embarrassed, but because if it is revealed, people's feelings and some people's lives may be in danger. He keeps the secret to protect you and the others. Even if he is hated, he will continue to keep it. It is that type of secret."
Jaune recalled Yang telling him that during their confrontation, Resh had this secret of his that he would not say no matter what. It bothered her, but he begged her not to ask for it.
"Who is he protecting with that secret?" Jaune asked.
"… I have spent enough time as is. Catch," He called out as he tossed two objects in the air for him to catch, but the young Arc was caught off guard and both items dropped to the ground: Resh's Armaments and a new Thunder dust orb… that had red electricity? "Butterfingers. Anywho, I must ask you not to hate Resh; this is all my fault to begin with. I was not expecting something so horrible to happen, so I would like to apologize for all the secrecy and danger, but I cannot tell you what is going on right this moment. Once more, you'll have to wait and unfortunately it will not be long. What you do with Resh's real secret… is up to you."
He spoke as he turned around and started walking out. "One more thing: he truly does see you as a close friend. Hopefully that little advice can help."
With that, he vanished in thin air leaving a confused and horrible feeling in Jaune's stomach.
…
Oh wait. The sound was actually his stomach growling, he hadn't eaten all day…
The core had over heated, making sure that the mountain was no longer there. The other lesser Grimm were devoured by oblivion, but two beings still remained.
Despite the weight of an entire mountain, the Giant Grimm protected its master from the intense fire power.
(... There were three Jabberwocky that were defeated by children yes? Now that I think back... there was a boy who had the same symbol as the Arcs...)
{Author Notes}
OK I am not very proud of this chapter. Chances are that many of you are confused as all heck as to what is going on, and I apologize for that. This definitely was not my best arc, and I will admit that.
Some stories re linear and go from one point to the next. This story goes all over the place. Well, time travel stories have never been about logic, so here's to hoping you're still enjoying this. … Somehow.
I promise the next chapters are going to be less confusing and more on something mundane and fun.
Like School Finals!
AAAAAA—
Sorry, had horrible flashes of the time I had to study for tests.(Wait a second, I'm still a student-)
Anywhoo, I've tried to come up with some light hearted extras, but I couldn't think of any—so you guys just get some random excerpts that appeared at the top of my head.
{Pokémon/RWBY}
In honor of the up and coming Seventh Generation Pokémon game (Gotta Catch em all!) here's an obvious Pokémon and RWBY crossover special! (Yes it's been done to death… maybe?)
Resh: Jaune, Jaune wake up!
Jaune: (Waking up slowly) Uhh… Resh, w-what are you doing?
Resh: Duh! Poking you with my claws. Come on you lazy Riolu, we've go to start our Explorer's Team in The Beacon Guild! Now come on!
Jaune: Oh dang it, Resh! You're a Pawniard! You're claws are freaking harder than steel!
Resh: Duh, I'm a steel type. So hurry up, you Slowpoke!
Jaune: Gah! Stop jabbing me!
(Later)
Jaune: Oh hey! Ruby! Ruby the Pickachu!
Ruby: Cha! Resh, Jaune! How are you guys!?
Resh: Careful there sparky, I do not want to get shocked again.
Jaune: Last time I recall, when Ruby unleashed a thunder attack, you used me as a meat shield!
Resh: Ah good times… good times…
(A Combusken comes over and grabs Riolu Jaune by the neck.)
Yang: How's my favorite male duo doing?!
Jaune: Yang! Can't… Breathe!
Ruby: Yang, let go of him!
Resh: oh hey Frosslass
Weiss: I have a name you know! You dark types are just so… rude!
Resh: I'm not rude.
Jaune: Lies!
Resh: Name on time then, Jauney boy.
Jaune: H—
Resh: Exactly, you're opinion doesn't matter.
Jaune: One of these days, Resh! I will kick you off a cliff!
Resh: Jaune, I know you. I've been your best friend since we were little, and I know you always get vertigo in high places. You kicking me off a cliff is as likely as Pyrrha working up the nerve to ask you out on a date.
Jaune: Wait what was that last part?
Resh: And this is why you amuse me.
(Resh get's smacked in the back of his head… hard… by a Kirlia)
Jaune: nice one Pyrrha!
Pyrrha: I-It's nothing…
Ruby: Pika! Look! It's Ren and Nora! (waves at them.) Hey guys, over here!
Nora: (An Emolga flies towards them with a Slakoth slowly following after her.) Hey friends, what kind of super duper adventures will we go on today! I bet stuff will explode! Or there'll be pink stuff! OOH OOH! Maybe there will be pink explosions! That will be sooo cool!
Ren: (Slakoth) … Nora… calm yourself.
Glynda Moonwitch: ERHM!
(Everyone looks over to the Cresselia with a stern look on the face betraying the usual serenity that comes from the species of Glynda.)
Glynda: Now then, Guildmaster Ozpin would like a word.
(Ozpin the Celebi floats in, followed by Professor Bart the Sealeo, Doctor Oobleck the Yanma)
Ozpin: Rescue Team RWBY, Rescue Team JNPR?
Nine kids: Yes sir!?
Ozpin: (Sips coffee.) I have a mission request for you both.
{Author Notes}
Not really funny, or good, but the idea of The people of RWBY all fitting into the world of Mystery dungeon suits them. Plus I cannot wait for the seventh generation of Pokémon to appear!
{Crack Extra: I was feeling sick. Sorry. (reference from the Web Comic, "Paranatural" is included here)}
Team CRDL was fighting against Pyrrha.
Cardin pointed dramatically towards the gladiator. "You're in for it now, Nikos!"
Pyrrha was stunned, how could this happen?
Everyone was in utter shock at what Team CRDl was doing: they were doing the impossible right now.
They were on top of each other's shoulders with Cardin on the top, being supported by Dove at the bottom.
"YOOOUUUU WILLL NEVER DEFEAT THE FRIENDSHIP FUSIOOOOON! ~AAAAAAOOOOOO!" The team piggy back ride tilted to the left and Dove struggled greatly under the combined weight of all his teammates.
"I… What you're doing is making no sense! What are you even accomplishing?!" Pyrrha cried out in confusion.
"Well, my back is definitely breaking for one…" Dove managed to gasp in a very oxygen lacking breath.
Meanwhile, Mercury and Emerald just stared. "Uhh, boss? Are these really the people we have to look out for?"
"… Clever Ozpin. Make your warriors look like fools when in reality they are hyper competent! Oooh, you play this game better than I imagine, Ozpin. But ultimately, I will win! Emerald, put CRDL on the list!"
The master thief was taking a video on her scroll. "Does Dustnet video count?"
Meanwhile with Ozpin…
The usually calm professor slammed his fist into the desk. "Drat! Some student must have posted this on the Dustnet before me! But the jokes on them, I have naked pics of Jaune Arc in the shower!"
The door breaks down with Team RWBY and Pyrrha looking towards Ozpin.
"Did I say that out loud? Wait, Ms. Nikos, weren't you just—"
"THOSE PICTURES ARE MINE! JUST LIKE HIS ASS!" Pyrrha yelled and jumped Ozpin first before Team RWBY blindly fool—I mean followed in suit.
"Why do girls always want me?" Jaune asked as he saw more girls join the fight—why were Teams CRDL and SSSN joining the fray? And … REN!?
The blonde boy's son from the future stepped beside him. "Why not father? You're really too easy to ship with anyone. By the way, what do you think about being officially omnisexual?"
