"Mama! I'm bored!" Young four year old Jared Arc called out to his mama while she was taking care of her baby twins.

It was raining very hard today and Jared really wanted to go and play outside, but the thunderstorm outside made the Mama close down the house.

The beautiful raven haired woman gently tucked her daughter into bed before looking at her eldest son. "Jared be quiet, you'll wake up your brother and sister."

The little boy pouted but he obeyed his mama. The woman led Jared out of the room before kneeling to her son with kind eyes.

"Why are you bored?"

"I can't go outside to play and there's nothing on the telly!" The boy pointed towards down stairs where their television was.

Ignoring how 'telly' was actually a word used in Atlas to those with thick accents, she sighed and remembered something. "You have a lot of toys in your room, why don't you play with those?" Hopefully this would be resolved soon. She had much paperwork to finish up.

The young red eyed boy slouched and looked towards the floor before lightly kicking some dust. "It's no fun when I'm alone." The young boy muttered but his Mama caught what he said.

She recalled all those times when she wanted to be alone. Looking back, she really was blessed to have friends willing to get her out of those lonely slumps.

She patted his head lovingly. "Alright then, I'll play with you then." She always loved how the light in those huge red eyes would brighten whenever he smiled.

"Really!?" The little boy was literally bouncing with excitement.

Work could wait. She had something much more important to deal with.

"Yes, so what are we going to play Jared?"

The young boy smiled as wide as his little head could smile before shouting it out. "Ninjas of Love!"

Thunder boomed in the background.

[?]

In the familiar red forest, she found herself walking around with her guard up.

"Why did you leave?"

Quickly she reached for her—

It wasn't there. Her weapon was not on her. That voice, she knew who that voice belonged to, she thought she…

"Do you understand what you left!?" The figure stepped forwards, his blade drawn under the shattered red moon.

But it wasn't towards her.

There was someone else there. Someone she wasn't expecting.

"… Resh?"

Suddenly the figure cried out and ran, sword ready towards the black haired boy with eyes as red as the forest.

He wasn't moving.

"Resh! Move!" She cried out, but for some reason, she was frozen in place. She couldn't move as much as she wanted to push him out of the way. She screamed and she wailed but he wasn't even moving like some kind of puppet left alone on a shelf.

Then the figure slashed him down in anger. Blake screamed and fell to her knees, a feeling of regret overwhelming her.

The figure walked towards her.

"This is what you…"

His voice stopped. It was then she heard dripping like fresh liquid.

But it wasn't raining.

Rain isn't colored red.

She looked back up in surprise, some kind of spike was protruding out the figure's chest before it was violently pulled out, revealing a dark and long tendril that went up towards her friend's fallen body.

The corpse was standing up, or rather it was hunched over as if it was held up by one string, making all the other body parts fall and seem limp, but his right hand had turned into that large, dark tendril.

His face slowly lifted up. No longer were those bright red eyes seen, but something dark and jagged were replaced in those eyes. It clearly didn't look human.

The corpse with Resh's face slowly turned to her with a twisted smile that stretched far more than any human or Faunus face was capable of going.

"…p"

She couldn't hear that horrible voice.

"…p!"

It felt like something was forcefully stopping her heart.

"Miss Belladonna, Wake up!"

Blake gasped for breath as she started panting and brought her head back up from the desk. She looked around to see Team JNPR and RWBY and even Ms. Glynda Goodwitch stare at her carefully.

The memory started coming back to her: her team and Jaune's had detention because of their little escapade over at the food fight and with Resh going overboard.

"Good to see you awake Ms. Belladona, are you alright? You seem quite flushed." Ms. Goodwitch fixed her glasses.

Blake quickly glanced around and fixed herself a bit. "I'm fine. I'm fine." She repeated.

The teacher rolled her eyes before looking at the clock. "Well fine, we can end off today's extra lesson early. You will not be let off any earlier than this again, are we clear?"

"Yes Ms. Goodwtich." The eight other students droned.

Blake looked over to Resh and the red eyed teen gave a confused look before Blake shook her head.

[Meanwhile…]

"Team ETHR has failed in their capture of the Descendant. This is most troubling. Granted, we had no idea a third party was interested in the boy as well. However, a failure is a failure. They shall be on standby as we send in another team to infiltrate Beacon and take the Descendant."

"Who shall we send next then?"

"If I may? How about Team OMIG (Omega)?"

"Them? Are they not…"

"They are powerful and they can get the job done."

"Are you sure of this?"

"There is no need for worry. The Vytal Festival is open for all teams."

"Then it is decided then."

[Elsewhere.]

"Whoa whoa whoa! What?" He tapped his foot impatiently. "Are you telling me after all that preparation we did, we're not going to Beacon?"

"I thought you didn't like school." She said.

"Well true, but seriously Cinder, what gives? You said be prepared, and the next moment you get a call and cancel our transfer."

"Mercury, do not question me." Despite how calm and simple that tone was, nonetheless it was a command and the gray haired man shut up quickly as Emerald gave a silent snicker. "I do understand your concerns. However, I was warned by my associate to not go to Beacon due to the fact they sense a second time master."

"Wait, are you telling me that there's someone else there that has the same Semblance as Ozpin?" The Master Thief asked in awe.

"We've reason to believe so, but there is another reason. The Grimm have been oddly sluggish."

"I thought our 'special friend' could deal with the Grimm." Mercury spoke out.

A new voice popped up, making Emerald and Mercury raise their weapons in preparation. "Even though your master is an ancient being, there is a glaring fact that the Grimm have always been a mysterious beings born after the birth of man."

No one even saw this man walk in. It was like he was there in the shadows this whole time.

"Stand down, he's an acquaintance." Cinder blinked before walking up to the man with snake like eyes and green spiked hair. "Mr. Young, you must be the one they asked to take my place."

"Not to worry little one," It spoke volumes to see Cinder flinch and restrain herself when the man made fun of her. "I have no intention of letting you not have your fun. You simply have to be a little more patient."

It was annoying to her: even with half of the power of a god, and potential even with all of her power, she stood no chance against one of the great immortals of Remnant.

[...]

"Ha! Now I activate my Legionare Fleet to arm my forces and unleash chaos upon Vacuo!" Ruby declared as she slammed the card on the table while she and her team were in the library.

"I was expecting that sis, but you activated my Trap Card, Herd of Goliaths! If I roll a 4 our higher, these monstrous creatures will decimate your attack force!" Yang called out before throwing out a counter card to her sister's advance.

"Buuutttt! If you roll a four or lower, it will turn on you and destroy your army!" Ruby pointed dramatically, leering at her sister.

Yang returned the glare. "That's just a chance I'm willing to take."

Long story short and much dramatic monologuing later, Yang's gamble paid off.

"How on earth do you play this game?" Weiss asked as she looked over to Resh, who was on the side next to her on the table. She was also ignoring Ruby who was mourning the loss of her front line.

"Believe in the heart of the cards and bonds of your friends." Resh answered half-heartedly. "And make your hair style as inhumanly crazy as possible. Remember, the crazier the hair style: the more powerful your card skills will be." Before Weiss could comment, Resh scooted in and showed her his card before explaining how it actually works.

"Why didn't you start off with that first?" Weiss asked after the boy had briefly explained better on how the game works.

"I have a reputation of a smart aleck to keep up." Resh spoke out before revealing a card he hid under his sleeve and placing it on the board. "Oh by the way, Revolution and Coup card, a revolution happens in all other countries, forcing a restart in their government and stopping their war efforts."

"You jerk!" Yang and Ruby cried out towards the black haired boy. Meanwhile Ren gripped the book he was reading tighter.

Weiss looked to Resh. "You did not have that card when you showed it to me!"

"I also have a reputation for being a jerk to keep." Resh smiled as he silently played more cards that bolstered his forces and weakened everyone else's.

"I bet you just can't wait to see all four Kingdoms burn one day, don't you?" Yang jokingly sneered as Resh decimated her working industry.

Unfortunately for the girl, Resh had flashes of his sixth future the moment she said that and quickly and instinctively froze time.

He had honestly been doing this more despite Ozpin's warnings. The reason for this was because ever since he saw that strange Grimm along the cracks, he had been having more flashes of his darker future. The raw emotion and trauma alone was enough to somehow balance out all the light and happiness he had in the other five futures, which really made him uncomfortable.

Thankfully, his semblance was such a life saver in this because he could quickly freeze everyone, get a breather, then continue on as if it never happened.

However, with each pause, he always had to look over his shoulder in case one of those Time Eater Grimm started appearing. It was actually more disconcerting to find out that there was no sign of them ever since Ozpin brought it up.

"Nah, I like this place too much to watch it burn." He responded as he unfroze time as he became more composed. Then he made Weiss suffer from a blockade.

"Hey losers!" Sun spoke out to the nine others as he and Neptune came along. Resh thanked the gods that couldn't have come at a better time.

"Hey Sun!" Ruby called out.

"Ruby, Blake, Resh, Yang, Ice Queen."

Weiss threw her hands up in the air. "Why does everyone keep calling me that!?"

Ignoring her, Sun went on and looked towards Neptune. "I never got the chance to introduce you guys properly since that Teacher dragged all nine of you away but this is my friend."

"Uhh, aren't libraries supposed to be for reading?" Neptune asked.

"Thank you!" Ren spoke out from the table behind Team RWBY.

"Pancakes!" Nora suddenly woke up screaming.

"Shut up. Don't be a nerd." Sun quickly said.

"Upupup! Intellectual, OK? Thank you." Neptune quickly countered before looking back to everyone. "I'm Neptune."

"So Neptune, where are you from?" Weiss curiously asked. It wasn't quite like her to be starting a conversation with a stranger.

Neptune smoothly walked over. "I'm from Haven, but I didn't catch your name Snow Angel."

"Umm, I'm Weiss."

"Are you kidding me!?" Jaune harshly whispered towards Resh before realizing that his so called best friend was recording this moment. Curse his semblance! Curse the Universe!

"So, what are you guys up to?" Sun asked not so subtly towards Blake who was still reading her book before she closed it.

"I was heading back to our room. Later." She said before standing up and leaving.

"Pff! Women, am I right?" Nora spoke out.

As soon as Blake left, Resh looked at his scroll since he received a message. "Oh hey, sorry guys. Ozpin is asking me to do this favor of meeting some students for him, so I gotta go to."

With Resh leaving, they now had a free spot. Yang, seeing the annoying and backstabbing player gone, quickly offered Resh's cards to Neptune.

The boy from the future held his hand to his head and felt the pain from his memories once more. The raw emotion from all of those memories felt so… strange, as if they weren't his but they still had a sense of familiarity and recognition to them.

Living six different lives: how can only one of them be true? Or were they all true? A temporal semblance doesn't explain how exactly he gained over six life times of memory. Despite the awakening of his semblance, there was the glaring fact that Resh could only freeze time. He didn't know how to accelerate, reverse, or even travel back in time just like he did so the very first time.

"Resh."

The black haired boy looked over to see Blake staring at him from a shadowy corner. It was odd to him because that was her look when she knew he did something wrong as a child and tried to hide it from her.

Uh-oh.

"Oh hey Blake? What's up?" Resh spoke out.

"There have been a few things bothering me these past few days, but at least one of them can be answered right now," She stepped forward to him with a solemn glare. "By you."

"What are you talking about?" To his credit, he was hiding his anxiety much better than his dad would, but not as much.

"Before that crate crushed me back at the docks, you called me "Mama" before your semblance realized." Blake folded her arms and Resh did his absolute best not to instinctively freeze time and run away as fast as he possibly could.

"Did I now?" Who knew approximately 90 years worth of knowledge would be absolutely useless in responding towards interrogation?

"I heard you with all of my ears." Blake emphasized, leaving it vague enough to reference her cat ears as well. She did have four ears after all.

"Well uhh I spoke it out in the heat of the moment. I probably wasn't thinking straight?"

"Why would you yell mama at a time like that?"

"I… I guess you just reminded me of my mama?"

"I," She paused and pointed to herself. "Remind you of mom?" She raised a brow.

"Well yeah. I guess I kind of saw her in you when you almost got crushed by that speeding crate."

"You know Resh, trust is a two way street. It's usually a good idea to share and help each other with their secrets." Blake folded her arms.

Oh gosh, his Mama was doing that guilt… thing…

Wait a second. There was one thing that Blake always did when raising him. She was always for equality even for the smallest of things. Which is why whenever he was scolded as a kid, Blake would always give him some compromises.

"How about a compromise?" Resh spoke out, surprising Blake. "Look, I still can't tell you about what I'm hiding, but I can tell you these are secrets that I'm hoping to keep to my grave. I would like to tell people about this—you have no idea how much I want to tell people to get it out of my system—but the fact is that I have secrets that I need to keep for others. Can you at least settle for that?"

Blake looked at Resh with her fierce golden eyes before sighing. "If that really is your circumstance, I suppose I can leave it well enough for now."

Resh sighed in relief.

"But how do you know that your past won't come back and haunt you?" Blake asked.

"Well for my case it's more like the future, but if the situation does call for it, I will tell you guys when it's necessary. Is that alright?"

"Fine…" Blake spoke out before turning away and walking, but not before stopping mid way and turning back. "Resh? Who are you?"

He found himself smiling. "I'm someone you can trust for sure. Now if you'll excuse me, I have people to meet for Headmaster Ozpin."

As he left, Resh put a hand on his chest and gasped for breath. That was really close to comfort. Sooner or later, they all will find out—they're all too smart for that. And Resh still doesn't know why he's here in the past in the first place.

Well, besides the sixth future. But then if he really did come from that sixth future, why did he have such vivid memories of other futures? It was rather disappointing to think he even came from a future like that.

However, there was still the million dollar question that he still had to answer: who was Chronos Kolc? Dr. Helsing just said he was a future version of himself, but why the need to place him here particularly? What was his future self planning that needed such secrecy and the need to potentially change so many things?

"I am so getting a head ache from all these time travel ideas. No wonder the movies never get them right—they never make any sense!" Resh complained as he went towards the Bullhead airports.

Something caught his attention up high: it wasn't a bull head. This one looked much, much sleeker and was pure silver. Not to mention the fact that it was shaped more like a manta ray than anything like the bulky planes that usually come here.

The red eyed boy took his scroll out after he heard a new text message had arrived. It was from Ozpin. The students of the Xiaolin Monastery were coming over.

He never heard of the Xiaolin Monastery. Rather, it sounded familiar like something Xia once told him. But if Resh was a gambling man, that fancy new ship must have been them.

The time wanderer did not notice the second ship that stood out among the bull heads, a more fighter jet like appearance, because of the bright silver ship.

He figured that it must be them, and quickly made his way towards the four people walking out of the silver manta ray.

"Wow this place is like a castle! And here I thought the temple was old school." A young man with dark tan skin with dark brown, spiked hair spoke out. He was wearing a white jacket with jeans while wearing a golden medallion on top of his jacket.

"Whoo whee! This place is bigger than my uncle's back when he's sleeping on his belly on our couch!" Resh had this odd sense of déjà vu when he spotted a rather tall and muscular blond man with blue eyes wearing a cowboy attire and hat.

"That's one weird southern saying." An eastern girl with black hair walked out next carrying a portable but high tech scroll. She was styled in trendy clothes.

"Ha! While this place does seem most impressive, nothing beats the Xiaolin temple!" To his surprise, Resh saw a small boy with a freakishly large bald head jump out of the plane in monk robes.

"Omi, you've lived in the Xiaolin temple your whole life, isn't that a little biased?" The tall black haired young man pointed to the small round headed boy.

"What? But the Xiaolin Temple is the greatest place in the world!?" The young monk spoke out with confusion.

Resh walked up to all of them. "Hey! Are you guys students of Master…" The wanderer took out his scroll and saw the name Professor Ozpin had written down. "Fung? Xiaolin Master Fung?" after seeing them recognize that name, Resh continued on. "My name is Resh Kolc, I'm here to show you around Beacon and bring you to the place you will be staying."

"Sweet! My name is Raimundo Pedrosa, but you can call me Rai for short." The dark brown haired teen with dark green eyes shook hands with him.

"The name's Clay Bailey. Pleasure to meet ya partner." Clay had a much stronger grip than Resh expected, but his name sounded very familiar.

"Are you by any chance the son of a Mr. Jack Bailey who owns Bailey farms?"

The cowboy blushed. "Guilty as charged. I haven't seen my pops in a while though."

Now that the boy was comparing the two, they did look very similar to each other. Who knew that his dad and him worked for this guy's dad?

"I'm Kimiko Tohomiko. Nice to meet you Resh." The girl spoke out.

"Wait, Tohomiko? As in that Tohomiko who makes some of the best video games throughout Remnant?" Resh absolutely loved their games even in the future! The ones right now he already knew the endings unfortunately, but they were still really fun to play! In fact, if he recalled she became the future president of that company…

"Yep, my dad is a huge nerd to gaming tech." Kimiko giggled.

Last but certainly not least, the small boy bowed politely at Resh. "Greetings, I am Omi of the Xiaolin Temple. I must thank you for letting us into this wonderful castle."

"It's a school." Rai quickly corrected.

"Ooo, learning! That is most interesting!"The small boy exclaimed.

Meanwhile, Resh was thinking about something. When Ozpin had sent him a text, he already gave them a team name despite not being his students:

Team ROCK, a complete word for once.

Wait, these guys were entering in the Vytal Festival?

"Are you guys Hunters?" Resh asked.

"Ha! We are far superior to Hunters, we are Xiaolin Monks!" Omi beamed with pride.

"In training." Rai added in correctly. "Mr. Fung sent us here as part of our training and since a friend of his asked for a favor. I'm guessing it's the headmaster of this School."

That caught the Red eyed boy's attention. "Wait, what does going to a hunter school have something to do with being monks?"

The four of them looked at each other before shrugging at the same time.

"Perhaps Master Fung wishes to test our skills against Huntsmen before he pushes us into the next level?" Omi asked.

That only confused Resh even more. Since when did monks fight? "Well umm, are you guys hungry from your flight? We have an all you can eat buffet."

"Tempting, but think you could show us to our rooms first? We've got some stuff back in there." Rai pointed his thumb behind him back towards the sting ray like ship.

"Sure, go for it. Oh and before I forget, welcome to Beacon."

Later that night, Team RWBY had just decided to help out Blake's trouble in investigating the White Fang. However, before they could actually start said plan, Ruby had forgotten the board game back at the library and quickly went to get it.

As she did, she was surprised not to see that many people in the library when she returned. Granted it was closing soon, but she still expected to see at least someone nearby.

When she returned to their study spot, she saw a man in a suit with dark green hair cleaning her board game up.

"Oh sorry about that! That's mine!" Ruby spoke out as the man turned around with a raised brow. He seemed fairly young and well groomed.

"Hmm… Silver eyes?"

"Huh?" Ruby asked as the man gave her back her game.

"Nothing, just noting something. I am Professor Young from Mistrial, I am chaperoning some of my Students here for the Vytal Festival and I thought I would enjoy the collection Vale has to offer." The man spoke in a calm and soft tone as he placed both hands behind his back.

"Well hi professor! I'm Ruby Rose, welcome to Beacon! And uhh thanks for getting my stuff."

"You must remember young lady that we are still in a library." The professor scolded with a light smile. "But it is alright for now. I must leave now, but perhaps we may meet again?"

Ruby didn't quite like the idea of meeting teachers more than she was supposed to. "Uh sure? Maybe?"

"Thank you for your hospitality Ms. Rose." Professor Young bowed before walking away from the girl.

When she was out of ear shot, the green haired man looked towards the moon with a smile.

"So that stupid Owl did miss a few of the priestess' descendants. I can't wait to see the look on Salem's face."

{Author Notes}

Sorry for a short build up chapter, but I wanted to follow a few of the buildup scenes from Volume 2 before slowly going into what I want from this volume.

Also you all might be surprised about the return of the Xiaolin Showdown Characters when I made an April Fool's joke about them. Actually, the truth is that I still was planning to include some of them into the story. I won't be including the Shen Gong Wu items in this though. As fun idea it may sound, I don't think it would be a good idea to start putting them in this story.

Maybe someone else could make a proper Xiaolin Showdown/RWBY AU if they're interested enough.

I already have crossover themes in this story, so might as well go all the way—don't worry— I promise I will never go too overboard with them to the point the story gets cluttered or not understandable. I just thought of adding them into the story to make things more interesting, they do have parts in it, but I thought have characters from other franchises would fit better than making up my own OCs since I am really scared of making some in fear that you guys might not like them. Plus, it's easier for me not to make more new ones.

Thank you for taking time to read this.
