12. Chapter 10 part 2

Peytons POV

'Okay, we have either the bounty hunter or hunger games?'Says brooke.

'Not again, the last time we watched hunger games, male katniss over there could not stop talking all the way through!' Groaned tony, as he pointed a accusing finger at my dad.

I giggle softly, leaning against the doorway, which caught everyones attention as all eyes landed on me. I blush and look down while taking the empty seat between my dad and Lucas.

'Awkward' mutters Brooke. Yep my best friend always finds a way to state the obvious,I think sarcasticlly.

Silence.

'So I think we should watch the bounty hunter' I state.

Everyone seems to take this as my plea to stop the awkward silence.

Hour later

Clints POV

I see Peyton and Lucas all wrapped up in a iron man blanket. ARGH! Why do they look so adorable!.

'Hey, stop glaring down poor Lucas, he's not doing anything wrong' Tasha whispers with a glint of amusement in the corner of her eyes.

'Will you be quiet, some of us are sleeping' Tony mummbles into the pillow with Pepper sprawled on top of him. Some things never change I muse to myself.

I look around and see the tony for once is right, everyone is sprawled out all over the room.

'Just look at how happy they are, i wished I could of been the one she came home to and told me that a boy asked her out but she was scared to tell you, because you would have gone into over protective daddy mode, or how she would be nervous for her first date and i would help her get ready and tell her it would be alright, maybe even sneak her out the house so you wouldn't get a change to stop it' Nat says smiling sadly as tears form in her eyes.

As i hold her close I can feel wetness on my cheek and realise that I have a tear rolling down my cheek.

'Yeah, me too'I croaked.

'Dont cry, I'm here now don't think of the what ifs let just move foward and make new memories, also don't worry about the whole first day it was a disaster, Luke was nervous and forgot to put gas in the car so we stayed at mine and had dinner and a movie night' Peyton says softly as she looks at us with a tear down her face.

'Shush, I know your right sweetheart, we should' Nat whispers, making her way over to the opposite sofa as she wipes the tear from peytons cheek. Peyton leans into her touch as if she as always done it.

Nat reaches foward and kisses Peyton's forehead.

'I love you so so much, baby girl' whispers Nat, I see Peyton look into her mothers green eyes, one just like her own.

'I love you too mum and dad' replys Peyton as she turns her gaze to me.

I gasp, did she just say that she loves us.

I hear Luke stir and pull Peyton close as if she was going to vanish, this causes my daughter to blush as she notices that her parents are staring.

'Well I'm going back to sleep now, good night guys' Peyton says while making a monster of a yawn. I laugh sofly, she's so adorable!.

'Good night and happy birthday princess' I say while going over and kissing her forehead. Natasha repeats the same motion and walks over to the love seat and dragging me in tow.

As I cuddle up to my wife and look over to my long lost daughter, I feel at peace, which I have not felt for the past 11 years. I drift into unconsciousness with the first real smile in a long time.
