Hello all together! I'm glad you came across my fanfiction with the pairing OC x Hanabusa Aido!
I thank you very much for the diligent reading and would of course look forward to one or the other comments. Especially regarding to the English language, because I have written this fanfiction only in German and would like to improve my English skills.

Until further notice I wish you a lot of fun reading and enjoy it (hopefully!)!

Best regards,
AsunaYukiko

"Flee now, as fast as you can!" the young adult woman shouted to her child, who was clinging tightly to her dress. It tore the mother's heart, but she had to push her away.

"Mom, I'm scared!" the small, petite girl replied in a shaky voice, continuing to cling ironically to her mother's dress, into which she sobbed.

"I know, my child." The mother gently stroked her child's blue, shoulder-length hair and then took her small face in her hands. "Look at me."

The girl wanted most to refuse, but could not avoid her insistent tone and looked at the woman with tear-blurred eyes. It was not easy to interpret her mother's expression through the tears. What she could feel was a sense of a new strength given to her, causing her to calm down.

"Very good, my child. You beautiful little naive ice princess. You must be very strong now. Your nature is threatening to us, so they will hunt you down and kill you. You must escape now. Hide where no one will find you and seek out those who will give you safety. A safety that, to my regret, I can no longer give you." Her commands, whose word seemed so terrible and frightening, entered the child's consciousness. Though the girl was young, she was a genius and understood her every word. But now her concentration seemed to vanish abruptly as a boy her age appeared and eyed mother and sister in wonder.

"Asu! Oka-sama! What's going on?"

The presence of her brother made the girl very sad. She loved him more than her own short life and could not bear to let him go. Without being aware of her next steps, she immediately ran towards him and fell into his arms. That lavender scent that was rising in her nose and his warmth made her quite drunk with longing and despair.

"Hani! Mama says I should run away!" she spoke to him bitterly, once again letting her tears run free. The little boy responded with widened eyes and caught a glimpse of his mother, who then nodded sadly at him. He knew what that meant and hugged his sister closer.

"I understand, Asu." He closed his eyes to keep from bursting into tears as well, but outwardly displayed a calm demeanor. "Promise me you'll keep yourself safe. Do it for me." His last words sounded calm and gentle, but also fragile at the same time. They touched the girl's heart.

They both paused in the moment, even though the time was dicey. None of them said anything, but each of them knew that it was time to say goodbye. Even if she wasn't ready for it, the last brave words spoken afterwards were those of the young girl. "I promise to fight and return one day. Wait for me, Hanabusa-kun! I love you!" She breathed a kiss on his lips and hugged them both tightly before tearing open the back door and disappearing into the deepest, stormy, snowy night.

This was the day when the fate of the family changed completely, as the promise the girl made to her brother broke. It soon turned out that during her escape from the dark creatures of the night - the Senate, she was attacked and killed by a level-e vampire. The murder occurred on the edge of a cliff that separated the land from the sea. A fight ensued, during which the girl fell down the cliff and eventually drowned in the sea. The only signs of a fight were a pool of blood, which could be clearly attributed to the girl, and the ashes of the Level-E vampire. The child's lifeless body was never found. The following day, for some inexplicable reason, the mother of the family died.

More years passed and the tragedy was forgotten. Even for her brother, the memories disappeared like a curse on her. But there was one thing that this curse, kindled by the girl shortly before her death, could not reach: his undying love for her. Nothing and no one could replace her - and that's exactly what he swore to himself all his life.
