Peyton POV
I wake up with wet kisses being peppered all over my face.
'Go away, smochooo' I slur, pulling the pillow over my head with a loud groan.
'Hey, sweetie you gonna get up, we've made pankcakes, they used to be your favourite' Nat says softly.
I slowly pull myself up and face my mum who is freshly dressed and showing the most radiant smile for nine in the morning. I pull the quilts back and swings my legs over my new comfort bed and giving my mum a sofly smile.
Satchmo quickly pads over to me and paws at my leg indicating to be cradled, which has turned into a routine in the past couple of months. As, I move closer to the door the instant smell on sugary suryp crawls up my nose, leaving my mouth to watering. Sachmo seems to get the same delicious smells as he trys to escape my grasp, determined to get to the pankcakes before I did. I quickly let him down and watch as he trots happily to the kitchen. I turn and see mum shaking her head, with a tint of amusement in her eyes.
'You're dog is crazy, you know right?' she says.
With a what can you do shrug, I skip towards the direction my crazy dog has gone, and nearly fall over with laughter at the sight infront of me. My dad is wearing a 'kiss the chef' apron, with the matching chefs hat and food feeding my dog who has gotten quite comfy on one of the bar stools.
I try so hard not to laugh, but I just can't keep it in.
He turns around searching for the muffling laughter, and meets my eyes, which now have tears pouring down my face. He turns the other way and carrys on making food, as if he hasn't just been caught feeding my dog like a baby and making cooeing face at him, however his flustered cheeks tell a different story. 'Morning,Mr . Mum ' I say enthusiasticly, while shooing satch of the seat so I can sit.
'Morning, P' he murmmurs, while putting pancakes on my plate, avoiding to meet my eyes.
'Am I missing something' mum questions, with a confused look on her face. '
'Nope, not at all' I slyly say, while keeping my eyes trained on my dad, challenging him to see if he will tell her or not.
'Nothing, just talking to Peyton' he says quckily.
Coward!
She looks at us for a moment, probably wondering whether or not to carry on questioning, but then shrugs and glides over like a ballerina to gracefully takes the sit next to me, yeah she definetly was a dancer at some point, I may ask about that later since I've always been able to dance, yet my 'parents' could not put step in front of the other without falling or breaking something.
'So, what do you want to do today?' Dad asked, shoving a mouthful of food down his mouth.
'I dunno, I mean it is a sunday, I usually chill out wih brooke and luke. You know watch a film eat junk all day, I think we actually call today a 'lazy day' I mummble.
'Hell yes!, that is what I'm talking about' dad says loudly, for the first time today, I can tell his not a morning person, I must take after him for that.
'Okay, it's sorted then' mum says clasping her hands and starts to ramble about what films to watch and food. I kinda blanked out, nearly falling back to sleep. However, I can see my dad has the same problem, yeah I definetly get the morning thing from him.
*page break*
Lucas POV
As I jog around the park, I notice a nice, small coffee shop called 'Jan's cafe', I slow down my pace, debating whether to go over and check it out. As ever my taste buds get the better of me and I find myself walking towards it. The smell of coffee in the morning is not something I turn down easily.
'Hi, darling what can I get ch'a?', the sweet old lady behind the counter asks, as I take a seat at the counter.
'I would like a coffee and a blueberry muffin, please' I ask warmly.
'Coming right up, dear' she says, smiling.
As I wait for my coffee and muffin, I think back to the time when me and peyton went on our road trip to see the cure.
*Flashback*
'Come on, we can totally do it' Peyton exclaims with a mischievous smile.
'I don't know' I whisper to her, she's crazy thinking we can do this, but she's my crazy. Just one of the reasons why I love her.
'Pleassse' she begs clasping both hands togethe, giving the the full pout and puppy-dog eyes.
'Fine' I groan, giving in. Know one and I mean know one can say no to Peyton when she does that. She slowly gets up from the table and heads casually towards the door, she turns back and sends a gick wink, then she's gone. Okay, I can still make her happy without getting into trouble I think, while calling over the waitress over.
'If I give you an extra twenty dollars will you run after me, shouting?' I question, sending her the all-movie star smile, I can see in her eyes that she's more than eager to do this for me. Being the son of Captain America has its perks.
'Sure' she squeals, making me cringe inside, how can girls be so willing to do things for a guy who gives them the slightest attention? (N/A I know not all girls do, please dont be affended, because im a girls as well) I quickly run out the door, and dive into the car where peyton is looking beautiful as ever with the girl shouting after me.
'I can't believe we just left without paying' Peyton exclaims, laughing.
*End of flashbacks*
I smile softly at the memory, if only-
'Is this seat taken' an angelic voice asked. Wait! Did I just say angelic.
I turn to see a beautiful, slim women with chestnut hair down to her waist, did I just call this women beautiful?
'Urmm.. ah.. no sorry no, please' I stutter gesturing to the empty seat next to me. '
'Thanks' she whispers shyly, with a tint of pink emerging across her cheek. '
'Here, you go one coffee and blueberry muffin, dear' the old lady says before turning away and leaving me with this beauty.
'I'm luke by the way, Lucas Rogers' I say kindly sticking my hand out for her to shake.
'I'm Annabelle Laufeyson, it's nice to meet you , Rogers' she says with a sly smirk. Well, damn I should come here more often.
Note: Dun! Dun! Duuunn! I am sorry to all you Leyton fans, I'm one too and it hurts me to write the next few chapters, it just had to be done.i thought the story was getting a little bit boring just had to juice it up a bit.
