After Hiccup turned Five years old, things changed around him.
Two of his best friends dropped him.
One was a boy named Fishlegs Ingerman who ditch him to save himself from being bullied and name calling from the villagers.
The other was a girl named Astrid Giggles Hofferson.
After her uncle died fighting a Flightmare, The Hofferson's honor was tarnished.
Astrid focus on becoming a shield maiden and rehonor her family name.
Hiccup sat at his desk drawing another picture of Astrid with her ax.
He made her it for her tenth birthday but she didn't show any thank you or appreciation.
His father showed him less love until he barely acknowledged him unless he was blamed for twins causing trouble or his inventions blew up or wreck the village.
He felt alone after his father stop showing interest in him.
He heard villagers comment that they wished he was thrown into the sea as a baby.
He looked outside to see it was time for bed.
He took the candle over to his nightstand and climbed into his bed and sighs "I need to find a way to disappear without anyone knowing. It's not like anyone would miss me. They don't want me anyway."
Two hours later as he was sleeping, the village horn blew signaling dragon raid.
He woke up from his sleep and hurry outside while villagers battle dragons.
He dodge villagers engaged in battling dragons.
As he made his way through the battle to the forge, a villager told him to get inside a building.
Stoick grabbed him and ask "what are you doing outside of the house?"
Hiccup answers "well I was on my way to the forge where you dumped me off on Gobber at three years old so you wouldn't have to deal with me."
Stoick let him go to go fight dragons.
Hiccup ran to the forge.
Gobber comments "about time you showed up."
Hiccup sighs "I'm too small to be a threat to dragons."
Gobber comments "well they need toothpicks. Don't they?"
A dragon shot at a house and set it on fire.
Astrid, Snotlout, Fishlegs, Ruffnut and Tuffnut ran with buckets of water to put the fire out since they were on the fire brigade.
Hiccup looked out the forge window and to see the teens that never made him feel wanted or welcomed.
Gobber pulled him back inside the forge.
Hiccup sighs "I need to find a way to make something of myself that could be my mark on the world."
Gobber argues "you made plenty of marks and they all ended up blowing up in your face."
Hiccup sighs "why? It's not like I could get anywhere here. Besides I don't even want to live in Berk anymore."
Gobber comments "besides, you can't lift an axe. You can't swing a sword. You can't throw a Bola."
Hiccup grins unveiled his machine "yeah, but this will launch it for me."
A villager yells out "WE NEED MORE HELP OUT HERE!"
Gobber tells Hiccup "man the forge, Iccup. They need my help out there."
After Gobber left, Hiccup scowls "I'm tired of being everyone's punching bag. They don't appreciate me or care what happens to me!"
He wheels his invention out of the forge and over to a hill.
A villager yells "NIGHT FURY!"
Night Fury blasted a catapult to pieces.
Hiccup setup his weapon machine and comments "okay. Give me something to shoot at."
He watch the dark sky until the Night Fury blasted another catapult to light up the sky to reveal the Night Fury.
He launched the bola at the shadow and listened to the sound as a roar was unleashed as a shadow fell out of the sky.
He ask "did I hit it? Oh Hiccup has did something that no one would believe."
He ran down the hill before a Monstrous Nightmare climbed up the cliff to smash the invention to pieces.
After the dragons left with a few livestock, Stoick and the villagers cleaned up the damage.
Gobber returned to the forge to see Hiccup gone, along with his machine.
He leaves to go tell Stoick that Hiccup ran off somewhere.
(In the forest near Ravens Point)
Hiccup drew X's on his map of places that he searched for the Night Fury until he came across a tree that was split in two and a crash site.
He peeked over the edge to see the Night Fury to see it black.
He climbed down the log and gloated "I, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third has brought down the mighty Night Fury."
The Night Fury huffs.
Hiccup sighs "no one would believe me or care about me."
He looks in the dragons eyes and decides to free the Night Fury.
The Night Fury pounced on Hiccup pinning him against a rock and stared in his eyes.
After a minute, he roars in his face and flew away and fell into a hole.
Hiccup took two steps and fainted on the ground.
Night time came when Hiccup arrived at home.
He took two steps upstairs when his father called his name "Hiccup."
He sighed and walk over to where his father was sitting.
Stoick tells his son "I have to tell you something. You get your wish."
Hiccup tells him "I have to tell you something as well, dad."
Stoick tells him "you start dragon training in the morning."
Hiccup tells him "I don't want to fight dragons."
Stoick comments "yes, you do."
Hiccup corrects him "strike that, no I don't."
Stoick laughs "oh come on."
Hiccup sternly says "I can't kill dragons."
Stoick comments "but you will kill dragons" and gives him an axe and a shield.
Hiccup struggled to hold the ax in his arms.
Stoick comments "it's time you become one of us. Train hard, I'll be back."
Hiccup scowls as Stoick left with a basket.
After he left, Hiccup walked upstairs "fifteen years of being unwanted."
