Wow. I can't believe how long it's been since I last updated. Sorry about that everyone! It's been a crazy past year or so.

Counting this chapter, there are only four chapters left of Vampire Baby! I can't believe my little Senna is so close to being finished :,(

Yuki bit the inside of her cheek as she stared at Kaname. Her heart was beating erratically, and she could hear Senna's heart beating just as furiously as her own. Unlike their hearts, Kaname's was completely calm and steady, which infuriated Yuki more than she ever thought it would.

"You should be angry with me." Kaname said coolly, almost as though he could read Yuki's thoughts. "After all, I'm the monster that abandoned you and Senna."

Yuki clenched her teeth. "You were the one that said you'd rather kill me or that I kill you instead of ever letting me go."

Senna remained quiet through the exchange. She looked over at Ruka and Akatsuki. Her eyes briefly connected with Ruka's, and she could see the hurt and uncertainty there. "Ruka-nee…" She was suddenly aware that Yuki was no longer at her side, but was now fighting against Kaname.

"Don't interfere, Senna…please." Ruka whispered.

Senna hesitated for only a moment. "I…I just want everyone to stop fighting. I just want everyone to be happy again…"

Ruka looked from Senna back over to where Kaname and Yuki were fighting. She placed Yuki under an illusion before Senna could throw herself into the fight. She knew Senna wouldn't fight if she had to take care of Yuki.

Kaname smiled sadly as Senna rushed over to Yuki's collapsed form. "Senna, I know you don't understand right now, but this is all for the best." He turned his back on the two and walked away with Akatsuki close behind him.

"Liar!" Senna yelled, tears of frustration rolling down her cheeks. She wanted to chase after Kaname. She wanted to kick him and scream at him. She looked up as she felt a soft hand resting on her head. "Ruka-nee…"

Ruka stroked Senna's hair. "You'll stay here with Yuki-sama, won't you? You won't let anyone hurt her. Just be a good girl and wait here for everything to be over."

Senna watched as Ruka rushed off after Kaname and Akatsuki. "Yuki-neechan, wake up." Senna shook Yuki's shoulders. "We've got to go after Kaname-san. We've got to stop him and Sara. Yuki-neechan, please wake up. Please."

A thin streak of blood dripped from Yuki's cheek. Yuki's eyes shot open and she sat upright, almost knocking Senna over. She shook her head to clear her mind and looked around. "Come on, Senna. We have to get to the Association." She stood up and walked away, not bothering to see if Senna was following behind.

"Yuki-neechan, wait up!" Senna rushed to catch up with Yuki. She jogged beside the Pureblood. "What are we going to do when we get there?"

"We're going to stop Kaname." Yuki answered.

"And Sara?" Senna asked hopefully. She smiled as Yuki patted her head. "I'll help this time, Yuki-neechan. I promise."

Yuki nodded, but said nothing more as they rushed on to the Hunter's Association. A large crowd of humans had formed at the entrance to the Association's building and Senna could make out Ruka and Akatsuki blocking the peoples way. Yuki took Senna's hand and led her off to the side. They kept their presence hidden from the two other vampires until they had climbed to the top of a nearby wall. "Senna, I don't suppose you'll stay here and wait for me?"

Senna shook her head. "If I'm going to die soon, I want to at least know that everyone is okay before I do. I want everything to go back to the way it was before."

There was no way things could go back to how they had been. Yuki knew this, but she didn't want to say anything to Senna. They had no clue how much longer the child had to live and were no closer to finding the cure. She had hoped that she and Kaname could've at least made her last days happy ones, but that was only a distant wish now. Yuki leapt down from the wall and walked purposefully towards Ruka and Akatsuki, Artemis drawn and at the ready.

Ruka flinched as Senna landed beside Yuki. "Why couldn't the two of you just stay away?" She went to step forward, but Akatsuki stopped her.

Yuki sighed. She could feel Senna standing nervously beside her. "I have to go to that person." Yuki answered. "Ruka-san, you should set yourself free."

Senna didn't hear the rest of what Yuki said. There was a loud crash and large chunks of broken wall began to rain from the sky. She looked up along with everyone else and gasped. "Zero-nichan! Kaname-san!"

The two males were falling from one of the top floors of the Association. Kaname had Zero by the throat and neither seemed to concerned with the fact that they were falling through the air. The next few moments seemed to move slowly for Senna. Ruka was suddenly rushing towards the two males. Kaname had raised his sword to stab Zero. Ruka jumped in the way at the last moment and was stabbed instead. "Ruka-nee!"

Senna's feet were moving before she realized what she was doing. She ran to Ruka's side and lightly touched her arm. The blood was seeping from the wound in Ruka's side. She looked up at Akatsuki with tears in her eyes as he gently scooped Ruka up into his arms. She looked over at where Kaname and Yuki were staring at each other. She went to stand, but was stopped by Ruka's trembling hand grasping her arm.

"Kaname-sama…please stop." Ruka managed to gasp out. "This is already too much…"

All eyes were focused on Yuki and Kaname. Senna held her breath, waiting to see who would make the first move. She was just as shocked as the others when a burst of flames flew past Yuki and burned off Kaname's left arm.

Akatsuki had stood up, fury written on his face. "Ruka may be able to forgive you for something like that, but I can't!" He moved to attack again but was stopped by Ruka hugging him around his legs. "Let me go, Ruka!"

"No!" Ruka struggled to get out. "It was my fault for acting so impulsively."

"Ruka," Kaname said as his arm grew back. "You protected Zero and betrayed me. It is over between us."

"Why are you being so cruel, Kaname-san?" Senna choked out through her tears. She was feeling weaker than she had ever felt in the past. Her stomach roiled and she wasn't sure if her vision was blurring because of her tears or if her vision was going.

"You don't have much time left, Senna." Kaname said. He turned his back on the group. "Take care of Ruka and Senna, Yuki." He was stopped by Artemis coming around his throat. He held the blade with his hand.

"Why are you doing this?" Yuki hissed. "What is 'her will' that would make you go so far?"

"Yuki-nee, Kaname-san, watch out!" Senna shouted as Hunters through down a chain net. She watched Kaname push Yuki out of the way and then disappear as the chains hit the ground. "I don't understand you, Kaname-san…" Ruka gasping brought Senna's attention back to her. "Hang on, Ruka-nee!" Senna wrung her hands, not sure what she could do to help. Ruka had been hit with an anti-vampire weapon. "My blood my hurt you, or I'd give you mine. I don't want you to get sick like me. I don't know what to do. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Senna sobbed out.

Yuki rushed over and quickly offered her blood to Ruka. Akatsuki drank from the cut Yuki had made on her wrist and gave the blood to Ruka through a kiss. Senna managed to stop her tears. "Will she be okay?"

Yuki nodded absently. She blinked as she was whacked on the head. She turned to see Zero standing beside her.

Zero refused to meet her eyes. "How long are you going to stand there looking lost?" He began walking towards the entrance, not bothering to see if Yuki or Senna was following.

Once Yuki had made sure that Ruka would be all right, she followed after Zero with Senna close on her heels. Senna rushed up to Zero's side and latched onto his hand. "Are you okay, Zero-nichan?"

Zero nodded. "He really wanted to get rid of me." He looked at the door for a moment. "The trap is still activated." He pulled his hand from Senna's grasp and scooped Yuki up in his arms. "Senna, hop on my back."

"Okay!" Senna jumped up and wrapped her arms around Zero's neck. She wrapped her legs around his waist and couldn't help grinning despite the whole situation. She was getting a piggy back ride from Zero.

As soon as they were through the door, Zero put Yuki down and Senna hopped off his back. The entire building was in complete chaos looking for Kaname. Senna took a deep, shaky breath. Now was not the time to be weak. She refused to die until everything was right again. "Let's go find Kaname-san."

The trio ran up countless stairs until they finally found him. The three of them stood in front of a large metal door that Kaname seemed very interested in getting through. Kaname sighed when he saw the three of them. "I always knew you would be the one that stood in my way at the end, Yuki."

Senna looked to Yuki to see what the older girl would do. Yuki's eyes were trained on Kaname. "So many innocent people have lost their lives and been hurt. Ruka-san…and even Zero…" She brought Artemis up behind her and hacked her long locks off. "I won't mess up anymore, Zero." As her hair fell to the ground, she looked at Kaname with a new determination. "Now, our objectives are the same."

"You need to stand back, Senna." Zero said. "Stay here, where you'll be safe."

"But…!" Senna cut off her protest when Zero looked down at her. There was almost a desperate light there. She bit her lip and reluctantly nodded her head. "I won't let anyone through this door. I promise."

"Good girl." Yuki said before charging straight at Kaname with Zero close on her heels.

"My, my, is that little Senna outside my door?"

Senna glared over at the door. She would recognize that hateful voice anywhere. "Shut up, Sara-hag. I should just let Kaname-san in there and let him rip you apart."

Sara giggled lightly. "Such hateful words for such a small thing. So fragile too. I don't think you have more than a few hours left in your short life. Too bad you never found the antidote…" Sara then called out to Zero. "The man that killed her parents and brother stands before you. Kill him, killing doll."

"Shut up!" Senna yelled. "Zero-nichan isn't your puppet!"

"You think I'm that weak, Senna?" Zero whispered. "I just wanted power to hold him down and for that I needed your blood. Now, Yuki!"

Senna couldn't watch. She couldn't look away either. She stood rooted to the spot, her hands clenched into tight fists. The ground suddenly began trembling. "What…" She screamed and crouched down as the walls began shaking and breaking.

"Senna!" Zero grabbed the little vampire child and rolled away before a large slab of stone landed on her. "Why didn't you move?"

"You told me to stay put." Senna shakily gasped out. She clung to the front of Zero's shirt with all her strength. Her entire body was trembling. "What's happening, Zero-nichan?"

Zero didn't answer. He was focused on Ichijo and Yuki holding back Kaname from getting to Sara. He stood up and once again aimed his gun. This time it was trained on Sara and not Kaname. He was surprised when Ichijo suddenly rushed forward and grabbed him, taking the gun from his hand and holding it to his head.

"Ichi-nichan, stop it!" Senna screamed. She didn't dare try and pull Ichijo away from Zero for fear of him pulling the trigger. "Why would you protect someone like her?"

"I don't expect you to understand, Senna." Ichijo grit out. "Yuki, Kaname, drop your weapons."

Kaname glanced at Ichijo. "Do you truly believe Sara is a Pureblood that deserves to live?"

"No." Ichijo whispered. "At the same time, I do not wish for her to die. Just as I don't wish for you or Yuki or Senna to die. Please, just drop your weapons!"

Senna heard the sound of metal scraping against stone. She looked up and saw that Sara had pulled out a long rod from the debris and was approaching Kaname. "Sorry, Takuma. I want to be queen no matter what."

"Kaname-san, watch out!" Senna shrieked as Yuki pushed Kaname out of the way. Suddenly, something came shooting up from the floor below and pierced Sara right through the chest, taking the shocked Pureblood up into the air.
