-REFUGEES-

"Who are you!?" Peter yelled to him,

"The names Sam." He said in a sickly voice,

"What happened? What do you want?" Peter asked with confusion,

"I just wanted to thank you."

"For what!?" Tracy asked,

Sam took a deep drag of his cigarette, then took it out of his mouth, and threw it on the ground. "This buffet." Sam replied, smiling wickedly.

"Run! Everyone get out of here!" Peter screamed. A flock of refugees began to stampede, running as quickly as they could. Sam just laughed. He raised one hand and his cigarette ashes turned into fire. He controlled the fire with his power, creating a giant ring around the running refugees. They were trapped. Sam telekinetically grabbed a woman from the crowd. She screamed in terror, and tried to fight back with her acid generation ability, but Sam was relentless. The refugees watched in horror as he sliced the girls head open. Peter charged at Sam, lifting his hand, sending Sam backwards, dangerously close to the edge of the spreading fire. Sam struggled to get up, but managed to stand just in time to telekinetically throw Peter backwards. Peter landed, feeling a sharp pain in his shoulder. Hiro helped Peter to his feet,

"I can get everyone out, we just need time to get them all together!"

"I'll buy us time!" Tracy yelled, turning to face Sam. She lifted both hands, sending shards of ice at the man. He just brushed them aside. Sam began walking towards her like a hunter stalking it's prey. Tracy threw her whole body into the attack, sending a wave of ice at him. Sam managed to sidestepped, and lifted his hand. Tracy felt her body constrict, she was unable to move. He kept his arm pointed at her, then slowly began to move towards her hypnotically.

While Hiro gathered everyone together, Peter and N went to Tracy's aid. Peter Tried to pull Tracy towards the gathering group, but she could not budge, while N attempted to catch Sam off guard from behind. Peter grabbed Tracys hand, and absorbed her power. He began to throw daggers of ice at Sam, Sam attempted to block them while maintaining his grip on Tracy, but one of the shards hit his leg. He cried out in pain, ripping the shard out of his thigh. Blood began to gush from his wound, yet he kept his hold on Tracy. He again threw Peter aside.

N took the opportunity to attack. He ran at Sam, but Sam saw it coming, turning his body sideways, keeping his grip on Tracy while placing his other hand on N's forehead. N felt himself freeze, then a sharp pain in his head. N couldn't figure out what was happening,

"You seem familiar to me…" Sam growled, still in immense pain. Sam used another ability he obtained to probe N's mind. N felt pressure moving in his mind as he watched Sam's expression. Sam seemed to be searching for something, then his face indicated he discovered something interesting. He smiled evilly,

"The irony is poetic. I was planning on looking for exactly what you've already found."

"What do you want?" N asked, struggling through the pain,

"Take my power, you'll see. You've wondered about it yourself, I saw it in your mind…"

He let go of N. N hesitated looking at him,

"N! Get away from him!" Peter screamed, getting back up,

N quickly touched Sam's arm, absorbing his power. Instantly N felt his heart fall heavy, a darkness falling over him, and an overwhelming need for power. Sam turned his attention back to Tracy, pulling her towards him. She landed fright in front of him. Tracy felt the stiffness in her head subside, but her body still could not budge.

She screamed, "Peter! Please! Help!"

Peter sprinted towards her," N, do something!"

N couldn't move, or think. He was afraid of what he might do.

Tracy screamed as Sam cut her head open in one quick slice, then she went silent.

"NO!" Peter cried out. N awoke from his trance with one instinct: run.

He sprinted past Tracy and Sam towards Peter.

"Peter, please, let me absorb your power!" N pleaded,

"We have to go, there's no time!" Peter replied With anguish,

"Now!" N yelled at him, his voice a blend of other dark, evil voices.

Peter took a few steps back, surprised by the outburst. He saw something in N's eyes that convinced him. He held out his arm, and N took it quickly, taking his power, relief washing over him.

"Hurry!" Hiro yelled from somewhere in the cluster of refugees. Peter and N didn't take any time running towards the group. Everyone held hands, then in a flash they disappeared.

Sam looked up from his work just in time to see everyone vanish. He growled, looking down at his bleeding leg. He put his blood soaked hands on the open wound. They slowly turned blue, as did the cut.

"Primatech, research ward"

-MOHINDER-

Mohinder hovered over his computer in the lab. Next to him were dozens upon dozens of case files. He shut the current one, then moved on to the next. He opened it, shocked to find a picture of Matt Parkman,

"Matt?" He said out loud to himself. He turned the page, and on it was a list of antidote medications to test on him, many of which were deadly if overused. Bennett enters the room quietly, saying nothing to Mohinder,

"Did you know Matt Parkman was in here?" Mohinder questioned, lifting the case fine for Bennett to see,

"That can't be right, I specifically told them not to go after Matt." He defended, grabbing the file out of Suresh's hand,

"Well apparently you weren't clear." Mohinder snarled, turning his back. Noah grabbed his shoulder, whipping him back around,

"Listen, I don't need you making things any harder for me than they already are. I could have left you with absolutely nothing. No job, no career, no life. I came and rescued you from India because you requested it. I didn't need to do it."

Mohinder squared up to Noah, "oh really? Because I don't remember it happening like that, in fact I don't remember that at all."

"What are you suggesting Mohinder?" Noah asked, saving face,

"I think you brainwashed me to come work for you so you can go through with a ridiculous revenge scheme. I'm no idiot Noah. Having me bring her back, throwing them in there together, testing deadly medications that can take powers away? You aren't as sneaky as you think. My real question is why go to all the trouble? Is this vengeance really worth Killing Matt, and countless others, and putting your own daughters safety in jeopardy? You've gone mad with this."

"Claire is fine." He stated, anger welling up inside of him,

"Even if she is, how long will you trap her here?"

"A long as it takes for it to be safe."

"It'll never be safe out there for her! She can't get hurt Noah, let her go!"

Noahs nostrils flared, "yes she can. Physically no, but she can be hurt inside. I know she can. He's done it to her."

"And what are you doing?" Mohinder asked, clenching his jaw.

Bennett swallowed, trying to clear his dry throat. He stared at Mohinder a moment longer, then turned to leave. He stopped just short of the doorway,

"I want you to administer the first round of test medications please."

"To Sylar?" Mohinder sighed,

"and Elle." Bennett replied. Mohinder turned swiftly with a concerned look on his face. Noah just averted his eyes, leaving the room.

"Level 5"

-CLAIRE , GABRIEL, and ELLE-

"Elle… Elle…"

Elle heard someone calling her name. It was a soft, familiar voice. She smiled, only half awake, "what?"

"Come sleep up here, it's better than the floor."

Elle opened her eyes, realizing where she was, she sat straight up, backing further into the corner of the wall and window of the cell. Gabriel lifted his hands in submission.

"What do you want? Stay away from me!" She spat at him. She noticed her wrists were in a great amount of pain. She looked down, and noticed they were still zip tied together,

"I offered you the bed, you'll be more comfortable up there." He replied, backing away from her to give her more space.

"I'm just fine where I am, as long as you stay in the opposite corner." Elle tried to adjust herself into a more comfortable position, but yelped when her achy body tensed.

"Elle, just do it." Claire chimed reassuringly," I'll make sure you're okay."

"Yeah? What're you going to do from behind that glass huh?" Elle hissed. Gabriel and Claire have each other a knowing look.

A sound was heard from down the hall, someone was coming. Claire went to her window to see, while Gabriel kept his distance with Elle.

"It's him again." She said, throwing Gabriel a worried glance,

"Sanchez?" He asked, subconsciously touching his bruises abdomen.

Claire nodded, folding her arms. Sanchez and four other guards came into their view. Sanchez was grinning like an idiot,

"Well, well, well… how unfair. You get a pretty little play thing in your pin. I'll get a turn won't I?" Sanchez asked, staring Elle up and down. She spit in his direction on the glass,

"Ooohoo! She's feisty!"

"Leave her alone!" Claire shouted. Sanchez turned, scowling at her,

"Is that any way to talk to someone in charge?"

"Don't you have anything better to do, like banging rocks together?" She asked snarkily. Sanchez chuckled. He then went to her cell door, punched in the code, and entered her room, shutting the door behind him,

"Don't touch me, that security camera will catch it all." Claire said, backing away from him. He just shook his head,

"Boys, block the window. Wouldn't want Mr. Bennett to see this would we?"

The other guards just laughed, stepping in a line in front of the window,

"Hey! What the hell are you doing!?" Gabriel exclaimed, stepping towards the glass. Elle scurried to the other side of the cell.

Gabriel couldn't make out what was happening behind the line of guards. All he could hear was Claire's resistant interjections,

"Get away from me!" Claire screamed, pinned by Sanchez in the back corner of her cell. He pressed against her full force, pinning her arms up with his own. She twisted and writhed with all of her might, but she couldn't get away,

"Help! Help!" Claire screamed as loud as she could. Loud whistles and hollering came from the other inmates. Gabriel banged his fists on the glass,

"Get off of her!"

Sanchez pressed his lips on Claire's. She managed to get one of her legs free from his force. She kneed him as hard as she could, causing him to recoil. He sneered at her, grabbed her hair, then threw her on the ground. A loud crack came from her forehead. She looked up at him, bleeding profusely. He spat at her on the floor as he watched the wound heal before his eyes,

"I always get what I want sweetheart, and I can never just have one taste."

Sanchez opened the door, and shut it forcefully behind him. Claire shook as she was down on all fours. She tried with all of her might not to cry. She couldn't find the will to move.

Sanchez cracked his neck as he approached Gabriel from the other side of the glass. He took an unlabeled hypodermic needle out of his pocket. He shook it in front of Gabriel's face,

"Medicine time."

He punched in the access code. As he entered, he was met by a hard hit in the jaw from Gabriel. The other guards rushed in to restrain him,

"Don't ever touch her again!" Gabriel commanded,

"Hold him against the wall." Sanchez signaled, rubbing his hurting jaw. Two guards forcefully shoved Gabriel against the wall, one on each side. Sanchez glanced at Elle, " her too."

Another pair of guards grabbed Elle's arms and hoisted her up,

"She's got nothing to do with me. Leave her alone." Gabriel said, trying to bargain with Sanchez. Sanchez just scoffed, then delivered a hard punch to Gabriel's stomach. Gabriel doubled over, grunting. The guards ripped him back up against the wall. He was hardly able to stand,

"We've got specific orders to give to her what we give to you. Hold out his arm." Sanchez ordered.

The guard on Gabriel's left pulled his arm out. Sanchez flicked the needle, then placed the tip over his vein. He slowly pressed the needle into his arm, then released its contents into his bloodstream. Gabriel hissed as he removed it. Sanchez then moved over to Elle,

"What's in that? What'll it do to me?" She questioned, her body shivering,

"Don't know, don't care." He replied. Elle jerked violently, trying to escape their grips,

"Hold her still!" Sanchez barked. The guards couldn't contain her, she broke free of their arms, making a break for the door, but before she could reach it, something hit her in the back of the head. She fell, everything becoming dark and hazy. She lay on her back, watching helplessly as Sanchez stabbed the needle into her arm. Then everything went black.
