"Daddy!" Yotsuba called out as she stepped inside the house. "Mail's heeere!" "Oh, good. I didn't even have to ask you." Koiwai replied as he headed down the stairs. He took the mail from his daughter's hands before walking into the living room and sat down onto the floor, placing the mail onto the table before looking through it. He had a confused look on his face as he looked at a magazine. "What's this?" He looked through the magazine before realizing it was addressed to the previous resident who had lived in the house before them.

"What's that?" Yotsuba asked as Koiwai handed her the magazine.

"Throw that away." Koiwai said as he opened one of the envelopes. "It's not ours."

"But it's our address."

"I know. But the person the magazine belongs to no longer lives here." He explained. "While you throw that in the trash, throw all this other trash, too."

Yotsuba took the rest of the stuff from the table and went to the kitchen to toss the junk mail. But she kept the magazine and looked at the cover. It was a fashion magazine with a beaming brunette woman smiling on the front cover. She had seen a magazine before, but that was when she would go to the Ayase's home and their mother was looking through a catalog. But this was completely different compared to the catalog. It had paragraphs and pictures of people in random places like a restaurant or a café. They even wore some very expensive clothing. She noticed a couple of ads and there was a closed perfume sample on the page.

Curious, Yotsuba sat down on the kitchen floor and opened it. The fragrance was strong and it had an odd, fruity smell, but she didn't enjoy it. She flipped the page over to an article she could not understand. Page after page was filled with advice columns and ads. There was a section based on relationships but she had no idea what it was talking about so she ignored it and stopped on a page. It was another ad about a famous bottled water brand with a blonde male wearing fashionable clothing as he held the bottle in his hand, smiling in the page. Coincidentally, the same man was also featured in an article along with another picture of him right beside it.

Yotsuba read aloud what she can read. "Ki…see… R-Ryo…u…ta." She looked at the picture and both pages. "He must be famous!" And sure enough, he indeed was. Ryouta Kise was known for being part of the Generation of Miracles in his middle school years who also doubles as a model. Most girls who were around Fuka's age would probably swoon all over him while Yotsuba only saw him as another person. She stood up and closed the magazine. She went back over to the living room and put the magazine aside, forgetting about it completely before finding some paper and taking out some markers. Yotsuba went over to the table to draw while her father was lying on the floor, watching TV.

As she was drawing, she looked over at Duralumin and held up a couple of markers, a blue one and a purple one. "Which one looks nicer; this one or this one?" She said to her stuffed bear before picking one out herself. "This looks nice!" She exclaimed, using the blue one as she continued drawing. "It's perfect!" Yotsuba said as she finished drawing the entire Seirin basketball team along with herself. Although, she had the strangest feeling she was forgetting something… or someone. She didn't linger on it too much and put the marker inside her pocket. She went to go find some tape to put her drawing on the living room wall. Once she returned she noticed her father was asleep by the television. The she went back over and stuck some tape onto the back of the paper before going over and sticking it onto the wall, patting every corner to make sure it stayed.

Yotsuba wasn't sure what to do with the rest of the tape and looked over at her father. Quietly, she went over and unrolled a large piece of tape and tried to stick it on him but got it caught on her hand and tried to shake it off. She shook her hand some more before peeling it off and sticking it on Koiwai's forehead. She unrolled more of it and stuck it on her dad's face like a moustache and some on his hair and one on the bridge of his nose. She giggled and got up to get Duralumin, sticking some tape on the bear before putting some on her face as well.

The entire roll of tape was almost gone since she had used a lot. After that, she took her shoulder bag and put her bear into the pocket. She had already forgotten about the tape and put her shoes on, heading out to the park. Upon arrival, Yotsuba was surprised to see the park a little less crowded than usual. She was at a bigger park this time and looked around, she saw the swings were empty and made her way there.

Ryouta Kise stepped into the park, he decided to slip practice today and bask in the sun's rays. It was a lovely afternoon and he didn't want to waste it practicing in the school gym, so he snuck off in hopes his Captain, Yukio Kasamatsu, wouldn't find him here. He walked over to a couple of swings nearby and stopped as he noticed a small, green-haired girl in pigtails, staring up at him with a blank look on her face. He stood there awkwardly for a moment before he waved at her.

The little girl said nothing; her teddy bear had fallen out of her bag as she made a run for it. He stood there, reaching out to her before even had time to react. "W-Wait…" He said and looked down as he saw the little girl's teddy bear on the ground and walked over to pick it up. "This is cute."

He said to himself as he sat back down on the swings. It wasn't long until the girl ran back to the park with a magazine in her hand as she ran back to him and tripped on the concrete, the magazine sliding away from her. Kise ran up to her and went over to help her up. "Are you okay?!"

The girl didn't reply and went to retrieve the magazine and jumped up, holding it up to his face. "It's you! It's you!" she cried.

"Huh?!" The two of them sat side by side on the swings as he looked through the magazine. This was really interesting and all, but he had no interest in what some of these blurbs had to say about romance. 'Why can't these girls just be themselves instead of reading advice columns?' Kise thought to himself, then looked at Yotsuba. "I don't get it." He said. "What are you trying to show me?" Then he looked down as he flipped a page and saw his face filling two pages of the magazine. "This is the first. I've never seen my face in the same spot at once. Where did you find this?"

Yotsuba stopped swinging and looked up at him. "It's not mine. My dad said it belongs to the person who used to live in our house and told me to throw it away."

"This is a little embarrassing…" Kise blushed as he read the small article about him.

"It looks like you, doesn't it?"

"W-Well, it is me…"

"Wow…" Yotsuba was amazed. "How did they get your picture?"

"I'm actually a model." Kise explained.

"What's that? Like a computer?"

He chuckled. It was the first time in a while that he spoke to a child and not a crazed fangirl. "A model… Let's see." He thought for a moment as he fiddled with the corner of the page. "It's like someone famous and their seen everywhere in pictures and such."

"Ohh…"

"I can sign this for you if you want."

"You can?"

"Yep!" He smiled. "I'm famous after all!."

"Cool!"

"Of course, I can't sign this without a pen…"

"That's a shame." Yotsuba said as she looked up before remembering something. "Oh! I have a marker!" She exclaimed and dug into her pocket, pulling out a blue marker.

"Ah…" Kise took the marker and uncapped it. "It's a nice color." He said as he signed his name on the article. "Want me to sign this other one, too?"

"Okay!"

"Here you go!" he said and recapped the marker, giving back the magazine along with the marker.

"Thank you!" Yotsuba said and tried to squeeze the magazine in her bag right next to Duralumin.

"That reminds me…" Kise began. "Why are you covered in tape?"

"Oh!" she said. "I am? I forgot. Can you take them off?"

"They're on your face. Are you sure?"

"Go right ahead, sir!" Kise pulled at the tape that had been taped to her nose and to either cheek bones.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" Yotsuba was flailing as the stickiness of the tape was pulling at her lower eyelid. "That hurts, stupid!"

"Who are you calling 'stupid'?!" Kise said as he stretched her cheeks.

"Heinn… hrorry…"

"Now, don't move so much," He said as he continued pulling at the tape, tearing it off quickly.

"Ow!" Yotsuba rubbed at her eyes, the pain leaving her eyes in tears. "There's some more on your face—" "No! No more!" "Sigh. Do you really want it stuck to your face?"

"N-No…" He smiled at her, reaching for the tape strip. "Alright, just a few more, okay?"

"Ow…!"

"Just what on earth were you thinking when you put tape on yourself?" Kise said as he took the last of the tape from her face.

"I dunno."

"Eh?!" 'Are all kids like this today?' he thought.

"I needed tape for my picture!" She exclaimed.

"Now you remember?!"

"I was with Riko the other day and I saw Kagami! He was there, too!"

"Kagamicchi…?" What about Kurokocchi?"

"Who?" Yotsuba said in confusion.

"Is he really that forgettable?"

"He's the one with the dog, right? I think I know who that is. Junpei said he got food poisoning so he couldn't come."

"I hope he's alright. Anyway, how do you know Kagamicchi?"

"Kagamicchi? That's a funny name! His name is also Bakagami!" She said, laughing. "He taught me how to play basketball!"

"Wow, he's a real role-model." Kise replied, a bit surprised. He wondered what the guy was like off the court, as it turned out, he was a big softie.

"We're friends now!" She said happily. "We had curry with my Dad."

"Sounds like luxury." He looked back at Yotsuba to find her out of his sight. "Eh? Where'd she go?"

Yotsuba had been behind a bush and found a dirty, old soccer ball. It appeared to be worn out but it still looked playable. She began to dribble the ball like it were a basketball. Curious, Kise walked over to her, wondering what she would do next and decided maybe he would help her out with the soccer ball. He played a bit during middle school but it was all cake-walk for him. "Here, Yotsuba, why don't I—" But before he could finish that thought, she had bounced the ball from under him and ran past him, dribbling the ball down to the basketball courts and stopped to take a shot into the hoop. She shot the ball but it hit the backboard and bounced back to her and head-butt the ball, making it spin around the hoop before it landed into the net. "Hey, that's really interesting." Kise said as he walked up to her and picked up the ball as it rolled his way. "Wanna try playing one-on-one?"

"Okay!"

"I'll go easy!" he cried. "If you can catch up to me!"

Yotsuba and Kise had been playing in the park for almost half the day, probably a lot longer than her and Kagami had. The ball was up in the air, Kise was the first to intercept and was about to do the same move Yotsuba had done previously but was hit on the head and saw stars the next. He noticed her on the ground seconds after his vision had returned, seeing her rub her head. "What are you trying to do?! H-How did you jump that high?!" Yotsuba jumped up to her feet, "Tadah!"

"What do you mean, 'Tadah!' The heck was that?!" Come to think of it, this girl looked familiar. He remembered seeing her at one of Midorima's games. And he had never seen any of Midorima's siblings, which he assumed the guy didn't but he saw from a glance that he and Yotsuba both had green hair and green eyes. "Hey, uh, are you and Midorimacchi related?"

"Midorima…cchi," Yotsuba echoed. "Oh! Midorima! I know who that is! I went to his game the other day! I was the lucky item!"

'So that's why she was by the benches.' Kise thought. 'The things Midorimacchi does for things like this…'

"And then, we went out for ramen!" She cheered. "It was yummy!"

Kise smiled, Yotsuba was starting to grow on him by the second. The soccer ball was soon left and forgotten about as they walked out of the park, walking side-by-side. On their way, they met up with the bike store owner, Scrubby. He was already locking up the store for the day and noticed the two. "Hey, Yotsuba!" Then he looked over at Kise, "And Yotsuba's friend."

"Hi, Scrubby!" Yotsuba greeted. "What are you doing?"

"Well, I'm closing up for today so I can go home and wait till tomorrow to come back and sell bikes all over again."

"Wow, must be rough," Yotsuba replied. "Eh!?" Kise said in surprise. "Not really. Besides, I love selling bikes." Scrubby explained. "But it's almost time to go home for you, too, Yotsuba."

"Really?" Both her and Kise said in unison. They had been at the park for an entire day, they hadn't noticed the time had already gone by. "Uhm…" He waved his hand at the two.

"We've been at the park today." Yotsuba finally spoke up and held up the magazine to the page where Kise's face was along with the blue signature on both pages.

"WHA?!" The man said in surprise as he took the magazine from Yotsuba's hands, looking at the picture. "Y-You're THE Kise Ryouta from Kaijou?! W-Wow! I'm a huge fan of you guys! Mind signing something of mine, too?!" Scrubby said as he started reopening his shop again.

"What…? Huh?!" Kise said looking at the storeowner and Yotsuba in confusion. They walked into the shop and Kise looked around. There were bikes everywhere you looked, most of the expensive bikes were lined up alongside the shelves and were in a deep part of the shop while the rest were neatly set outside the front of the shop. The shop seemed to look a bit more crowded since he put the bikes from outside, inside to prevent anyone from looking to steal some bikes late at night. "Here we are!"

"This was where I got my bike! And my helmet!" Yotsuba told Kise. "Scrubby is really nice! My dad got a bike here, too!"

"I wonder if I could get a bike from here…" Kise thought to himself. Scrubby held up a newspaper that was probably sent out a day ago but was put away. He held up the newspaper and set it down onto the counter. Kise looked at the newspaper in confusion. "As interesting as it is to read about a fashion model stealing curtains from a department store, I don't get what this has to do with me."

"Eh?" Scrubby looked at the front page and started looking for the 'Sports' section. "Not that one." He found the 'Sports' section and on the front of the page was Kise by the hoop, making a hook shot in clear view with perfect timing with the work of photography.

"Wow…" Kise was impressed, he didn't expect to see his own face for the third time today. He knew just how photogenic he was, there was no surprise that he would be on every part of the media. But, it was still embarrassing to see his face twice in one magazine. Yotsuba was standing on her tip-toes looking at the picture as well.

"Is that CGI?" She asked.

"Huh?" Both men said in unison.

"No, I really did that." Kise said. "I actually used the same move a player from the opposing side did and used it against them with what little time was left and we won the game."

"Cool…!" Yotsuba said. "You can do any move?"

"Well, maybe." Kise replied. "It's kind of like copying them only a lot stronger than that."

"So you're like a copycat?"

"Yep!"

"No one likes copycats, Kise." She scolded. "What? But, I made my team win!" 'Why am I arguing like this?'

Scrubby chuckled. "I see you two are getting along just fine."

Kise sighed. "Somehow I doubt it works that way." Yotsuba slipped her marker onto the counter and it rolled past the newspaper but Kise caught it just before it rolled away from him. He smiled and looked over at her. "Thank you." Then he looked back down at the newspaper, "So who do I write this out to?"

Merely watching Kise sign the newspaper reminded her of when Kise signed the magazine. No one had ever signed anything out to her before. Autographs were foreign to her as well. Was it normal for people to write their names on things with their faces on it? Kise said he was famous but she happened to think she was pretty famous around the neighborhood herself.

"There you go," Kise said after signing the newspaper article. "You know, I was also planning on getting a bike here, but I wasn't…"

Yotsuba looked at the blue signature on the paper but she couldn't really see it since the color was mixed in with the ink. She smiled and decided to sign her own name somewhere on the newspaper as well. She was going to put her marker away when she felt an extra something inside the pocket of her bag. 'What's this?' She thought and pulled out her tiny camera. She had been looking for it for weeks but she wasn't able to show Kagami or Midorima since it had been missing. She was happy to finally find it once again. She decided to take it for a little test drive and looked at it, inspecting it then looking through the lens and snapping a picture, the small flash stirring their attention a bit and looked at her.

"What was that?"

"Oh! Your camera!" Scrubby said, "How's about taking a picture of us, Yotsuba?"

"Okay!" The small girl replied. "Say, cheese!"

"Cheese!" And she snapped a photo and another. "Did you just take two?" Kise wondered.

"Don't rush perfection, Ryouta!"

"Wha?! Wait, you said 'Ryouta'!"

"Yeah? What are ya gonna do about it?!" Yotsuba spat back.

"I-Uh, okay…" Kise said a bit confused.

After taking some pictures, Scrubby reclosed the shop again and made sure it was locked then looked over at Yotsuba and Kise, "You two better head on home. It's gotten pretty dark out now." He said. "Your parents must be worried."

"I'll walk her back." Kise offered.

"That's a good idea." Scrubby agreed. "Make sure to send me those photos, Yotsuba?!"

"Okay!" They all made their goodbyes and went their separate ways, Kise, walking Yotsuba home. It finally occurred to Kise that Yotsuba had been out past curfew, the bell had already rang for all the children to return home. He hoped Yotsuba's father wouldn't blow a gasket for being home so late. But, seeing as how dark it was, he figured her dad would be looking for her by now.

"Hey, Yotsubacch," Kise began. "Is it okay for you to be out this late? I mean, I'm fine staying with you, but…" He noticed she stopped walking and looked back at her. "Yotsubacchi? What's wrong?" She slowly turned; her eyes in shock. "I have no memory of this place!"

"You're telling me this now?!"

"Everything looks so different at night." Yotsuba said. "I'm scared!" She clutched at his pants and hid her face. "I want my daddy! Duralumin! Where are you!?" She cried, looking around frantically, she saw the bear and started turning to grab her but looked like a dog chasing after its tail. Kise stopped her and took her bear out of her bag, handing it to her. "We're lost!" She cried. And just by a miracle, a car drove towards them slowly. The lights from the car made the driver looked like a silhouette until it stopped beside them and the window rolled down and out was Jumbo's head into view. "There you are!" his voice more relieved than anything, having found the small girl.

"Jumbo!" Yotsuba cried. "We're saved, Kise!"

"Your dad blew a gasket when you didn't come home." Jumbo explained.

Kise made a face. 'Figures.' "So who's your friend?"

"This is Kise! He signed his name for me!"

"That's great!" Jumbo said and then had a surprise look on his face. "Wait… THE Kise Ryouta of Kaijou High Kise!?"

"Yes…?" Kise hesitantly answered.

"Let's talk about this later, get inside!"

Once they got back home, Koiwai had on a straight face but he was clearly upset with his , he asked. "Where the hell have you been?"

"Th-The park…?"

"And?"

"I met Kise?"

"And?"

"We saw Scrubby?"

"Annd?"

"We got lost…?" Her voice was shrinking.

"And you didn't tell me?"

Yotsuba quieted down and fiddled with her shirt. "Uhm… n-no…?" He said nothing and hit her on the head.

"Ow!"

"Why?"

"I-I don't know!"

"Ow!" He hit her again.

"I'm sorry!" She cried and embraced her father. "I won't do it again!" "Okay, Yotsuba! Okay! I forgive you, but you're grounded for a week!"

"Okay!" She cried through her tears.

"Did you thanks Kise?"

"No."

"Do it now," Koiwai told her. Yotsuba let go of her father and went back out into the living room with Kise and Jumbo.

"Yotsubacchi! Welcome back!" Kise stopped smiling and blinked when she didn't say anything. "What's wrong?"

Yotsuba had tears in her eyes and bowed. "Thanks for all your hard work today!"

"EH?!" Kise made a face of confusion and pat her head. "Y-You're welcome…"

"Please stay for dinner!" She said commanded than begged.

"It's a little too late now, besides I have to go soon." Jumbo put a hand on his shoulder. "Huh?" Kise looked at him. 'Did he play basketball before? He's almost as tall as Murasakicchi.'

"Humor her, at least," Koiwai said as he stepped into the room.

"Hey, dad," Yotsuba said. "What's for dinner?"

"Onion gratin soup," He replied.

"I love onion gratin soup!" Kise said excitedly.

"Soup?" Jumbo echoed in confusion. "Isn't it a little too hot for soup?"

"So we won't have soup, then?"

"We're not?" Yotsuba repeated.

"We ARE."

"Hooray!" Kise and Yotsuba cheered.

The next day, Kise was having a little practice game with his teammates. One of them had decided to give him the ball. He made the shot and missed. It had bounced back and he gave it a good head-butt the exact same way Yotsuba did and it went straight into the hoop, only the sound of the net was heard. As amazing as it looked, his entire team was confused and looked at each other. His captain was the least bit amused. Annoyed, he rushed over and gave him a good kick, the impact sending Kise into the floor. Kise jumped to his feet and shouted, "Ta-dah!" his voice cracking a little.

"What the hell do you mean, 'Ta-dah!' The heck was that?!"

"Somehow I figured you would react like that."

"What!?"

"Nothing!"

Next Chapter: Yotsuba & Kagami (2)

Hey, Guys! Sorry about the long hiatus. I've been really busy this year. Between classes and internship. I was planning on submitting three chapters since I have been gone for so long until I realized I didn't have time to do them all at once. I'm working on the next chapter this time but it might take some time till I get to the next one so, please PLEASE be patient! I mentioned before that I wasn't going to abandon this fic anytime soon. So be patient when waiting for an update because I happened to be very busy.

Also, to the people who are probably skeptical about Yotsuba being able to make a three-pointer, well, I read the manga Try! Try! Try! where Yotsuba made her first debut, she managed to kick a can into the recycling bin without missing, so yeah, it's possible for her to make that shot. I reread the last few chapters and I didn't realize how much typos I made. :P Ah, well. I apologize for that, though.

I just love the banter between Kagami and Yotsuba so there will be one-shots of them both much more often than the rest of the cast. I'm not sorry. xD So if anyone here is still reading this, thanks for sticking around.

P.S. If you have a favorite character that you want to read about in the next few chapters, let me know and I'll get to brainstorming when I can! :3 Man... did anyone finish season 2 yet? I'm so excited for the next season! Yosen is best team! I had mixed feelings about the season finale... Seirin and Yosen... Both are my favorite! DX (Can't mention any spoilers in case if anyone hasn't caught up yet.)
