*sighs* Sorry for being on hiatus for so long. I had to take care of a lot of personal stuff so I didn't have any time to work on my latest chapter at all. This one is probably a lot longer than the rest and it probably sucks. Not my best chapter, but I promise you the next one will be better! I had to make a few changes while I was working on it. But finally! I got it done! I'll be on a hiatus more often now since I've got classes. Please bear with it. . When I get some free time I'll be able to work on more chapters, so for now, PLEASE don't ask me when the next update is or even bug me about it because even I can't guarantee when the exact date will be (also, I will not answer you on that so try not to play nice and then ask about it). It'll be posted when it gets posted. I don't know when, but they'll be up eventually. Another legit reason is that I recently downloaded Team Fortress 2 several months ago and I can't seem to stop playing it. I sold my soul to Valve! Forgive me!

Enough of my rambling, here's chapter 5. Special appearance by: Hiwatari (Miss Stake) and Yanda.

P.S. Any characters you want in the next few chapters, let me know and I'll hopefully get to them when I can. For now, I have Kuroko next and then Aomine and Satsuki, but not in that particular order. Btw, is it Duralumin or Juralumin? The name of Yotsuba's bear.

_

Another quiet day in the Koiwai household. Yotsuba was playing with her 'Yotsubox' pretending to make curry to serve to Duralumin. It was a pretty nice day outside, sadly, after being in trouble a few days earlier she wasn't allowed outside for a while. Koiwai was glad she was alright, but he was worried that she would go off again. He was relieved to know that Kise was a nice guy. He was in the kitchen washing dishes after a nice breakfast of pancakes and sausages when the door bell rang. Yotsuba was about to stand when Koiwai had just finished putting away the last of the dishes and walked out the kitchen.

"I'll get it!" he called out.

"Okay!"

Koiwai opened the door and saw a tall, familiar red-haired figure standing by the the gates. It was Kagami. "Yo!" Kagami greeted with a smile.

"Hey! Haven't seen you in a while." Koiwai replied, opening the gate for him. "Yeah, we've been going along with out coach's training menu for the last couple of weeks or so, "Kagami explained. "But my Captain is out of town and our coach got sick with a fever so training was canceled until she's back."

"I see," Koiwai led him inside, "It seems there's a bug going around making people sick lately. I just hope it doesn't reach Yotsuba."

"Oh! She wanted me to give something to Yotsuba-chan." Kagami said as he slipped of his shoes.

"Yotsuba! Guess who's here!" Her father cried, hoping she'd coming running. "She'll be excited to see you." Wit perfect timing, Yotsuba rushed in and gasped. She laughed and ran to the red head. "Kagami!" She cheered, jumping up and down.

"It's been a while." He said, comfortably making his way to the living room and sat down onto the floor.

Yotsuba noticed something wrapped up under Kagami's arm and kept her eyes on it as he handed it to her. "Here. This is for you."

"For me?!" Yotsuba said, then added dramatically. "Oh, you shouldn't have!" She looked at the clear, plastic wrapping to find a way to open it. Koiwai joined them a few minutes later with a cold glass of juice for each of them. "What do you have there, Yotsuba?" He then asked as he watched her curiously.

"Open it, daddy!" She said. "It's from Kagami!"

"That's really nice of you, Kagami."

"Well, actually, my coach decided and we all pitched in to buy it.

"We should send her a 'thank you' and a 'get well' card, Yotsuba."

"Yeah! We can give her two cards!" Koiwai opened the plastic wrapping and held up a Seirin basketball jersey. It was white with black and red stitchings and the words 'Seirin' written out in big, red letters. The jersey was the perfect size for Yotsuba.

"Hey, this is kinda cool." he said. Yotsuba was jumping up and down excitedly like it was Christmas morning when she saw it. "WOOOW!" She cried. "It's soooooooo cooool!"

"You guys even gave her a number, too." Koiwai pointed out.

"What? What is it?" Yotsuba wanted to see. She looked from behind her dad's shoulder even though it was on both sides. "Four..." she red aloud. "Oh! I'm number four! Cool!"

"Number four, eh?" Koiwai looked over at Kagami.

"Yeah, I guess it was a little joke the team came up with. I don't know." Kagami explained. "She's still young so we're trying to figure out her abilities. We just don't know what she's capable of yet."

Koiwai was impressed. He didn't expect it to go this far. Just meeting Kagami one day and suddenly he and his daughter have had random encounters with high school basketball players left and right. He wouldn't be too surprised if anyone else showed up in his doorstep. "But it's funny, though." Kagami said. "Number for is also the Captain's jersey number.

"You don't say," Koiwai replied. "Guess they have matching jerseys, then."
"I want to match with Kagami!" Yotsuba exclaimed.
"You already match the entire team!" Kagami chuckled.
"Point taken!" She said, then added. "Can I put it on?!" She raised up her arms and waited for her dad to help her change her.
"Why don't you go get changed and show us when you're done?" Her dad said, handing her the jersey.
"Yessir!" She cried and ran off with her new uniform, heading upstairs.

Kagami looked around and spotted a few things he hadn't yet seen the last time he came over. There was a huge nesting doll in the corner of the room where Duralumin was sitting and a drawing of the Seirin basketball team on one side of the wall, then took a double-take and got up to take a closer look. "Yotsuba drew that the other day." Koiwai said as he watched Kagami.
"I guess we still have to introduce her to Kuroko."
"Kuroko?"
"Yeah, he's one of my teammates."
"I remember now, how's he feeling?"
"He's getting there." Kagami explained. "I think he should be fine now but we canceled training today. So he'll probably show up once our coach gets better.

"Tadah!" Yotsuba came back down, wearing the jersey.

"You look great!" Koiwai complimented his daughter. "Looks like you're ready for a game yourself."

"I can't wait to show Fuka, Asagi and Ena and mom and dad when they get back!" She said before running off to her room to change shirts. "Don't want to get this dirty..."

"Mom and dad?" Kagami glanced at Koiwai.
"They're our neighbors. They went to go visit their grandparents over the summer." Koiwai thought for a moment. "I wonder what they're doing right about now."

Kagami looked at another image just below the drawing and gaped. "Eh?!"

Koiwai looked up at him. "What's wrong?"
"His face."
"Huh?"
"How did... Eh? It seems he signed this."
"Did you want the other one? I'm sure Yotsuba wouldn't mind."
"No way, that's creepy!" Kagami said. "Seeing this now, I feel like he's looking at me!"
"Then stop looking at him!" Koiwai looked up at the clock and stood up.

"Hey, Kagami, if you aren't too busy looking at that picture, mind watching Yotsuba for a bit?"

"Sure," Kagami replied as he picked up Duralumin off the floor.

"Yotsuba, I'm going now! You be good to Kagami while I'm gone."

"Okay!" She called out from the kitchen.

"What are you doing in there, anyway?" He asked as he went to check up on her.

"Boo!"

"Ah! You scared me!" He said a little too enthusiastically.

"Gotcha good, didn't I?"

"You sure gave me a scare. Now stay with Kagami. I have to get going." Her father said as he put on his shoes.

"So where are you headed, Koiwai-san?"
"I have to meet up with my boss." He replied. "Snack time should be in an hour or so. If Yotsuba gets hungry, feel free to cook something up for her."
"So do I call you for something else or...?"
"I don't have a cellphone but I think you two should be fine."
"You sure you don't want to borrow mines?"
"No, it's fine. Maybe your girlfriend might call you. Anyway, I gotta go. See ya both later."
"Bye, daddy! See you later!" Yotsuba said, waving to her father as he left.

"But, I don't have a girlfriend."

"What's a 'girlfriend'?" Yotsuba tilted her head. Kagami was familiar with the term, but he had never actually had one before. Trying to put it in words for Yotsuba to understand would require some thinking. It was obvious that Koiwai did not go over this with her. He understood why, it hadn't been explained or at least brought up once. Now here they were, standing by the front door with Yotsuba expecting an answer. Her father, already long gone.
Kagami scratched his head in thought. It wouldn't be too hard to come up with something. "A girlfriend is a..." he began. "A friend that's a girl. Only, they're really close to you and do fun stuff together."
"Like what?"
"Go to a theme park and, uh, eat... ice cream together."
"Oh! What else do they do?"
"They hold hands."
"My dad holds my hand and we do fun stuff together. Does that make me his girlfriend?"
"Not exactly," he said. "It's a friend that's not related to you."
"We're not related! And I'm your friend! Can I be your girlfriend?"
"Sure," He decided to humor her since she was too young to understand. It would take even longer for them if he went into detail about it.
"It's the same as a boyfriend, right?"
"I suppose."

They stepped back into the living room and sat down. Yotsuba was still going on about the conversation. "Fuka got rejected before. And Asagi has had boyfriends, too. She's tall and really pretty and she's smart, too! Ena is smart, too! Miura comes over sometimes but not today because Ena isn't here either." Yotsuba explained before moving on to another subject. "You know I was watching TV yesterday and there was this commerc-commersh-a commershal and it had a man eating gum and this cat came out of nowhere and it disappeared when he went to work. It was crazy!"
Strangely, the conversation continued on for about a while as they went on about the commercials they've seen. Kagami had mentioned a few he had seen in America, growing up there. After a few comparisons, it was then decided that Japan's commercials were a lot weirder.

"I wonder who comes up with these things." Kagami wondered.

"I dunno," Yotsuba replied. "But they were all good ideas!"

"I wouldn't say that..."

It wasn't until a moment of silence, there was a low rumbling sound coming from Yotsuba's stomach. Her face blanked as she looked at Kagami and held her stomach. "H-Hungry!" She shouted.

"Y-You don't have to yell." Kagami got up and walked into the kitchen, remembering Koiwai mentioned something about snack time. He had forgotten how long it was when they were just sitting there having an interesting conversation about advertisements. He figured if it was just snack time he might as well make a sandwich or something. But when he through the cabinet for bread, he found three slices that have apparently been forgotten and sat there as it grew small spots of mold. There was no way he was going to feed this to Yotsuba, so he checked the fridge after throwing the bread out.

When he checked the fridge, he saw one egg sitting on one of the shelves. There was half a carton of milk, cabbages, half an onion, a gallon of unopened orange juice and leftovers from last night's dinner. He opened the drawer and saw ketchup, half a stick of butter and two slices of individually wrapped American cheese. The red-head would have made Yotsuba a grilled cheese sandwich if it weren't for the speckled green slices of bread. He also checked the freezer, but found nothing interesting. He walked back into the living room where Yotsuba was now coloring on the floor. Kagami looked down at her and sat down in front of her, waiting until she noticed him and once she did, he cleared his throat.

"I have some good news and some bad news."
"Bad news!?" Yotsuba was shocked. "What is it?!"
"Well, the bad news is, there is nothing in the fridge."
Yotsuba gasped, her face looked almost similar to that of a certain screaming artwork.
Kagami blinked. "Good news is: we're going to buy burgers!"
"Burgers!?" Yotsuba shouted. "Burgers!" She began dancing around. "Burgers~! Buurgers~! Oh, yummy-yummy buurrgerss~!"
"Do you know if your dad keeps a spare key here somewhere?" Kagami asked as he began looking around.

Yotsuba helped him search as well and went upstairs to her dad's office to continue looking there. She stood on her tip-toes to get a better look and spotted a key sitting on the desk. As she reached the key, she had knocked over a few things. She froze, standing there, not wanting to drop anything. She stood there for a moment before calling out to Kagami. "Kagami!" She called out. "Help me!"
And within seconds, Kagami rushes to her aid. "What happened?!"

"I found the key!"
Kagami goes over and helps her push back the things on Koiwai's desk before they toppled over.
"Who-ho-hoa!" cried Yotsuba, "You're a lifesaver."
Kagami had put everything back but as he turned away, an entire stack of paperwork and a few books had dropped to the floor. The redhead scrambled to pick everything up and set the books aside and stacked the papers onto the middle of the table, ho[ping Koiwai wouldn't notice.

"I think it's time dad got a new table." Yotsuba commented as she saw the clutter on her dad's desk.
Kagami noted the clutter as well but said nothing about it. "Come on, let's go. I'm starving."
"Me too!" Yotsuba said and skipped after him.

They headed out the door, being greeted by a ray of heat, leaving Kagami to groan in agony. "Ugh... I forgot it was hot out here." The Koiwais must have left the air conditioning on, which explained why the house felt so nice inside that he almost regretted stepping back outside today. He looked back at Yotsuba who had the utmost face of disgust which made Kagami laugh a little.
"What's so funny?" Yotsuba glared at him.
"Sorry, sorry." he chuckled.
"Hey, Kagami, how did you get here?"
"Well, I took the bus." Kagami replied. "Since training was canceled today I thought I'd drop by."
"Great timing, too." Yotsuba said. "Watching the house alone isn't very fun."

"I know. My parents are working abroad so I live alone."

"Where's 'abroad'?" wondered Yotsuba as she took Kagami's hand when they crossed the street.
"'Abroad' is like being away from home but you're living and working somewhere else."

"Does that mean daddy is from abroad?"

"Huh?"
"My daddy and I used to live with grandma before and we came here."

"I think you were just moving."

They stood at the bus stop for a few minutes, enduring the summer heat until the bus arrived. Yotsuba knew children got to ride for free and hopped into a seat as Kagami had dropped some change in for the bus and sat down next to Yotsuba who was by the window. Kagami glanced out the window, watching the bus pass a few cars and bikers. A thought came to mind, making him chuckle a bit. Yotsuba glanced over at him curiously. "Hm? Why are you laughing?"

"Huh? Oh." Kagami smiled. "I just remembered the time I got on the bus with my teammates. Just as the bus was about to leave, we happened to forget about Tetsuya #2 who was still outside. To be honest, I was secretly relieved.
"Ohh..." Yotsuba replied. "Who's that?"
"He's Kuroko's, uh, dog."
"I like dogs! Do you like dogs, Kagami?"
"Well, er, not really..."
"Why? Dogs are cute!"
"I don't really like dogs."
"Why?"
"...Urgh..."

Kagami couldn't really think up any other reason besides the fact that he was actually afraid of them. He was a total hot-head, mild-tempered and serious on the court, but when it came to dogs he was just as terrified of them just as anyone would a spider or a cockroach. It was embarrassing to admit to a five-year-old but she wouldn't stop asking why if he didn't come up with a valid reason.
"A dog bit me when I was younger."
"Whoaa... It must have been a really mean dog, then..."
"Yeah..."
"Where did it bite you?"
"Uh... I'd rather not say."
"Hahaha! It would be funny if it bit you in the butt!"
"Uh... hehe... yeah..."

Soon, they reached their stop and as Kagami was about to pull the cord, Yotsuba pat his arm. "Can I pull it? Can I?!"
"Sure," The young man watched as she reached up to pull and managed to get the driver's attention from the soft 'ping' as a red light appeared to tell the bus to stop. The bus then slowed to a stop at the curb, the doors automatically opening for them as a few other passengers got off.

The small girl jumped onto the concrete once it was their turn to get off. "How long till hamburgers?"
"We're almost there." Kagami said. "Although, come to think of it... maybe some ice cream after." He turned. "What do you think- Where'd she go?" He looked around, wondering where she could have gone. "Yotsuba-chan!" He called out.

Yotsuba had spotted a candy store nearby and walked inside, having forgotten what her and Kagami were talking about previously. She had found a small section that had different flavors of hard candy and decided to choose. "Which should I get...? Hmm..."
"Why not get strawberry?"
"That's what I was thinking!" Yotsuba said and turned around. "Kagami!"
"Oi. Who said you could go off without me?"
"Nobody...?" She hesitated to answer, the unpleasant look on the redhead's face made her a little nervous. "Please don't tell daddy!" She shouted. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"
"Okay! Okay! Now stop yelling! People are watching!"

"Ohh! Kay! Hamburgers and ice cream!" Yotsuba then added to herself. "Just like real boyfriends and girlfriends do."

Kagami had only hoped he hadn't made a mistake in explaining that to her. He was merely humoring her just for the sake of her naivety but it did seem a bit cute much less awkward.

"After hamburgers, can we buy candy?!"
"We're already getting ice cream." Then he thought about it. "I guess what your dad doesn't know won't hurt him."
"Candy?!"
"Yep!"
"Yay! Let's hurry to some burgers!" Yotsuba cried out, jumping up and down.
"Okay, okay!"

As they reached Maji Burger, Yotsuba rushed in and was greeted with a familiar face. She gasped and her eyes sparkled as she reached the counter with Kagami walking up behind her.
"Hello! Welcome to Maji Burger!" The short-haired girl behind the counter greeted. She recognized Kagami and knew just what he usually ordered. "Is the usual okay?"
"Yeah. It should be fine."
She looked down at Yotsuba. "What about your..."
Yotsuba stared up at the girl excitedly before speaking up. "Miss Stake!"
"Eh?" Kagami said in confusion.
"'Miss Stake'?" A co-worker echoed as he stepped out of the back. "I've never heard that one before."
"Uhm, yeah... it's just something at school."
"You know her Yotsuba?"
"Yeah! She's friends with Fuka!" The small girl looked up at her friend. "What are you doing here, Miss Stake" Baking some cakes?"
"Not really," Hiwatari chuckled. "I'm just doing this for the summer since I don't have plans in going out of town any time soon. But still, I've got lots of homework to do, too."
"Wow, homework over the summer. Sounds like fun!"
"It's not fun!" Hiwatari and Kagami said to her in unison.
Yotsuba stared up at them and the two blinked at each other, realizing what they were doing.
"Anyway, what do you want, Yotsuba?"
"Ice cream!" Then she remembered something else. "Oh! And burgers!"
"How many do you want?"
"I'll have what he's having!"
"Are you sure you can finish that?"
"Yes!" Yotsuba said excitedly.
"I'll finish it for you if you get full." Kagami interjected.
"I can finish it!"
"Alright..." A sweatdrop trailed down his forehead.
"Would that be all?"
"Of course! And make it quick! We're starving!"
"Sure!"
"Miss Stake." Hiwatari's co-worker chuckled.
"Shut up!" She shouted and turned to Kagami. "For here or to go?"
Kagami thought for a moment, then looked down. "What do you think, Yotsuba?"
"Let's eat here! It's hot out!" She replied.
"Alrighty, then!" Hiwatari said.

Yotsuba looked around the restaurant, it was surprisingly empty. From where she stood, she spotted the soda dispenser. Curiously, as Kagami was paying for their food, she walked up and started to climb onto the counter, reaching up to push the button. She pushed on a sports drink and the liquid harshly sprayed down. "Oh..." She pushed it down a bit longer and tried to taste it.

"Hey, Yotsu-" Kagami stopped and watched her. "What are you doing?"
"What's this thing?"
"It's a soda dispenser."
"Drink despenser." Yotsuba repeated. "What does it do?"
"It's to pour a drink out into a cup." Kagami explained before setting a cup down on some juice. "Here. You try."
"Ooh." Yotsuba pushed the button and soda spilled out. "Wow!"
"Hold down on the button, you can make it keep going."
She pressed the buton down and a waterfall of soda filled the cup. "Ooh! Cool!" Yotsuba glanced over at another dispenser. "What's this do?" She pushed down onto the lever and small ice cubes began falling out, some landing and breaking onto the floor. "Wahahaha! This is amazing! Look at that ice go!"
"Y-Yotsuba-chan... maybe I should just... take care of the drinks."

The redhead let out a sigh as they waited in their seats. He didn't think Yotsuba would be this much of a handful. He half-expected it considering how she was so lively. But, he wasn't complaining. It was pretty fun. Then again, he too was a kid like her once but he experienced childhood a bit differently than she had. He glanced across from where Yotsuba sat, playing with the straw wrappings. It wasn't until from the corner of his eyes, he saw something being placed right in front of him. Startled, he looked over. "Ah, uhm..." Did he space out? He didn't see her.
"I was about to call out your order but I remembered there wasn't many people in today." Hiwatari explained.
Kagami looked around. She was right. He noticed a few teenage girls sitting at a table a couple of feet away, a grandmother and child were sitting from across the restaurant and a young woman enjoying a salad one table over. With Yotsuba and himself, make up all the customers in the restaurant at that moment. Hiwatari glanced around as well. "Yeah. We don't really get much customers at this time. Since it's pretty hot out people decided to stay home or the beach or something. Ah, the beach sounds nice right now."
"What's this?" Yotsuba said as she was already chowing down on one of her burgers and noticed a badly burnt fry in her burger.
"AAH!" Hiwatari screamed. "I-I'm sorry! I was cooking some fries earlier. They must have gotten mixed in with the patty somehow!"
"How exactly does that happen?" Kagami wondered as he bit on his own burger, taking a little peek just in case a fry made its way into his order.
"That's Miss Stake for ya!"
"Ehehehe.." The taller girl chuckled nervously.

After having a big lunch at Maji Burger, they made their goodbyes to Hiwatari after getting some ice cream before heading out. And, as promised, Kagami took Yotsuba to the candy store once they finished eating their ice cream. Yotsuba looked around excitedly, picking out what she wanted to get. Her eyes sparkled as she held the candies in her hand. "Can I get this, this, and this? Oh! Maybe this, too!"
"Do I look like I'm made of money?"
"Ooh! That would be cool if you did! You wouldn't have to worry about losing your money because you can just poop them out! Hahaha!" Yotsuba laughed. "Poop money!"
Kagami looked around at the odd faces of customers and the employees. It was starting to seem a bit more awkward because of Yotsuba's continuous rambling of poop and began singing about it. He looked around for something to get her to change the subject and grabbed what looked to be a small candy dispenser of sorts and held it up to her. "Hey, Yotsuba-chan! Look!"
Almost immediately, the girl looked over to him and saw the candy dispenser which already had candy inside. It was red and rectangular with a small slot where the candy would slide out. "Oh!" Yotsuba looked amazed. "It's like a toy, but not a toy! Wow... it's a whole new invention..."

Kagami stared at her as she held the same look of awe. "Did you want this...?"
Yotsuba said nothing but continued to stare.
"Did you want to get another thing, too?" The redhead decided to ask after a long moment.
Yotsuba glanced over at the shelf and took a small tube of candy. "This one! Because daddy said I should only eat a little."

Once Yotsuba was ready to go, they reached to the register to buy the candy, then headed back home. It wasn't for long until Yotsuba started getting sleepy despite the heat. The small girl stopped and rubbed her eyes. "Kagami...?"
"Huh?" He stopped and looked down at her and noticed that she had stopped walking. "Uh..."
Yotsuba raised up her arms, eyes closed. The direction she was facing wasn't towards Kagami. The redhead scratched his head and knelt down, his back was facing her as he picked her up into a piggy bank ride the entire way home as he fell asleep against him. Yotsuba and her father didn't go too far into town very often. The few times Yotsuba herself had gone into town was when she was the "flower cupid" and the other time when she had delivered milk personally to Fuka, following her all the way to her school.
Kagami wondered if Yotsuba and her father have ever been around town before. He didn't think of them as hermits or anything, he was only curious. The heat felt very unpleasant the longer they were outside. He didn't want to sweat on Yotsuba, so he hurried a little quickly until they were on the stoop of the house.

Yotsuba woke up a bit later in her bed. It was nice and cool inside, just the way any house should be on a hot day. She heard a couple of voices coming from downstairs, one of them was Kagami's. She couldn't make out the other voice since she was still feeling rather sleepy. But, she decided on going downstairs anyway. She spotted Kagami by the table of the living room and leaned against him, saying nothing.
"Eh?" Kagami glanced at her.
"Sleepy..." Yotsuba glanced over, across from Kagami and saw a familar face chowing down on some instant ramen.
"Yo, what's up?"
It was Yanda.
"UWAAAH!" Yotsuba screamed, fully awake. "KAGAMI, WE HAVE AN INTRUDER!"
"I'm right here! Why on earth are you yelling?!"
"WHERE ON EARTH DID HE COME FROM?!" She continued to shout.
"Intruda window." Yanda replied and burst out laughing, slapping himself on the knee. "I got that from a TV show! Oh, that was rich!"
"You're not funny." Yotsuba told him off, annoyed.
"Oh, come on! You gotta admit that was at least slightly funny! Kagami?"
"I honestly didn't get the joke."
"You guys are horrible!"
"Not as horrible as your jokes!" Yotsuba pressed on.
"I don't need to hear that from you!"
"Nyeehh!" She stuck out her tongue.
"Nyehh!" Yanda did it back.
"Nyehh!"
"Nyeh!"
"NYEHHHH!"
"NYEHHHH!"
The two were having a sort of face-off, going back and forth with the most silliest faces while Kagami just sat and watched. Eventually, the two gave up and Yotsuba grew bored and began doing something else.

It was nearly an entire afternoon since Koiwai left, Yanda was boredly looking through an old magazine that Yotsuba had forgotten to throw out, a few days after meeting Kise. Kagami was watching Yotsuba draw a picture and pulled out his mp3 player from his shorts pocket, having forgotten that it was in there.
"What's that?" Yotsuba asked as she crawled onto Kagami's lap and laid down, looking up at the red music player.
"An mp3 player." the boy replied.
"M...P...3.." the young girl repeated. "What's that mean?"
"I dunno..."
"Can I see it?"
The redhead handed the music player to her along with the earbuds wrapped around it. It was small and fit the entirety of her palm. "Wow!" Yotsuba was amazed. "This is so small! It looks like a tiny TV for kids! What does it do?"
"It plays music," Kagami unwrapped the earphones before plugging them into the headphone jack. "If you turn that switch, it turns it on."
Yotsuba had switched it on and it lit up. "Oooh! Teckonology!" She looked up at him. "Now what?!"
"Try picking one of these," He pointed to one of the songs and watched her face in amazement as she heard music.
"What's it saying?"
"Put these in your ears." Kagami suggested as he held up the buds and the girl stuck them in her ears.
"Oh! Wow! Wow!" The girl exclaimed. "They're singing!"
Kagami smiled, he was enjoying every second of this. It was entertaining watching the young girl be so intrigued with everything. Yotsuba noticed his smile and glared at him accusingly, "Why're you smiling?!"
"Hah?!"
She said nothing and rolled away from him.
"...Eh?" He glanced over at Yanda, catching him stifle a laugh. "What are you laughing at?!"
"I'm home!" Koiwai's voice rang as he stepped inside.
Kagami glanced over at Yotsuba was still busy with his mp3 player. He decided to leave her alone and went to greet Koiwai, surprised at the number of pizza boxes that the shorter man carried. "Uh... welcome back?"
"Thanks."
"What's all the pizzas for?"
"I, uh... sort of made a mistake while ordering..." Koiwai slowly glanced away.
'Sort of...?!' Kagami thought in surprise.
"How's Yotsuba doing?" He asked as he slipped off his shoes and walked through the corridor and spotted Yanda by the TV. "You're here, too?"
"Yeah. I just felt like sticking around." The younger man said.
"How about Yotsuba-?" Koiwai glanced over at his daugter.
"You made a promise, but you're so full of shit, yeah~!" She sang.
Yanda and Kagami looked at each other as Koiwai's face darkened. "I come home and find out that you two are expanding Yotsuba's vocabulary?!"
"NO!" Both men shouted quickly.
"I-It's just a song!"
"Yeah, it's all Kagami's fault!"
"Why are you putting all this on me!?"

"She's your responsibility!"
"Don't use that on me, Yanda! You're here, too!"
"Daddy!" Yotsuba ran and gave her father a huhg. "Welcome home!" She was still holding the mp3 plater, ear buds still in her ears.
"Hey, Yotsuba," Koiwai began. "Who's is that?" He pointed to the mp3 player.
"It's Kagami's! He let me borrow it."
They all looked at Kagami this time.
"Quit looking at me like that!"
