Chapter 15: Who Holds the Stronger Swords?

OCs are mine

Review responses

bob is on fire: Thanks for the input bud.

Spark Brave: Thanks man. Sorry it took so long. And you're missing out with Bleach. But again thanks for the support, buddy. Means a lot.

Guest(1): I gotta get motivated to get back to that story caushave get like no reviews on that story and that's where I get motivation to do anything with a story.

Guest(2): Imma put it simply for each review you gave: Mike isn't Dante, he was adjusting to everything to do with realizing he was a devil and having Sacred Gears, I don't see you bitching about anyone else's OC showing up to crash the wedding, and yeah I'm gonna give you that last one. Basically I used to not have time to be original, shitty excuse I know but imma explain that in a bit.

ArthurB: I agree completely. But I'm tryin to do better.

killerbeast359: Trust me this isn't the longest, that's not an opinion, it's a fact.

Ragna: Thanks for your input.

Dodgedude: Now ya just gotta wait for the next one.

EternityDragon2610: Read this and you tell me.

I can't even apologize anymore, I'm just talking outta my ass with my apologies at this point. This would have been out SO much sooner but my dad is really keeping me busy with running and shit. I wake up so fucking early now and he's like a drill sergeant so when I'm done with whatever workout he has me do, I literally can't find the energy to do anything but lie down in pure agony and wait for the day to end. Forgive me or not I don't care either way cause I can't even forgive myself anymore.

Now as for the point one of the guest reviews mentioned, he/she's completely right. This story is totally lacking in originality except with a few small, no minuscule, exceptions here and there. That woke me up, like it slapped me in the face and pried my eyes open to see how much originality and creativity there was in this story, that is to say: next to none. This shouldn't be an issue, and I don't want it to be one anymore. Another reason this took so long was because I was conflicted to redo the story completely or not. I came to the decision that I WON'T rewrite the story I'm just gonna bring A LOT more originality to the table from here on out. Will it be good? Probably not cause for the most part it'll be short but I'm gonna do the best I can to do writer and give you guys a good story, cause with te constant support I get from most of you, you guys deserve something good to read, and I feel like I'm not delivering what you deserve.

Okay I'm gonna shut up now and let you guys read your shit.

On with the show!

This morning was like any other, heavy. As usual I wake up to the sight twos pair of beautiful girls. This morning those faces belonged to Buchou and Asia-chan, both of which were quite naked. By now I've somewhat gotten used to waking up with others in my bed, it's just the arguments on who sleep with me that kill me, now. Don't get me wrong, I still wake up with a blush, but I'm far more content and I stutter less. Actually, I've rather grown fond of waking up to the girls' faces in the morning.

The girls started stirring on my chest and soon enough their eyes slowly opened. I didn't say anything to either of them I just gave them a smirk.

"Good morning, Michael/Michael-san." they both said, respectively. The moved off my chest and I felt relief so that I could sit up.

"Did you sleep well?" Asia-chan asked me.

"It's hard not to when I have a pair of cute girls next to me." I answered patting Asia-chan's head, causing her to blush. I turn the other way and Buchou seemed to be pouting. Did I do something wrong?

"Oh I need to make breakfast soon!" Asia-chan realizes.

Buchou covered herself in my covers and Asia-chan put her nightgown on and they said goodbye and thanks before walking out of my room.

I decided to stand up and stretch a little.

[I remember there was a time you thought waking up with others was an annoyance to you.]

"Good morning to you too, asshole." I said to the green jewel that emerged on my left hand.

{Can you two keep it down? I'd like to sleep a little longer.} My dad said on a very groggy voice.

"If I gotta wake up then so do you."

{You're so cruel to your own father.} I didn't need to be in my consciousness to know he was crying a waterfall of anime tears.

"Sometimes it's hard to believe you were the strongest Devil at one point."

[Ignore him. There's something important I need to discuss with you.] Ddraig said seriously.

"What is it?" I got serious as well.

[It's a matter I should have brought up awhile ago, but there was never an opportunity.]

"Sounds serious. What's so important you seem so serious?" I ask.

[The Vanishing Dragon.]

"Come again?"

[We are both known as the Two Heavenly Dragons, but we never really got along. The hosts of the Heavenly Dragons are destined to fight one another.]

"That so? You mean to tell me the host of your rival is my rival?"

[That's correct.]

"Roughly speaking then, your problem, is my problem?" I simplified.

[Your words, not mine.]

"Well if anything, that motivates me to get stronger for when I do gotta fight this apparent rival I now have."

{Yet you're abnormally paranoid about a dream.}

"Don't you have sleep to catch up on?" I asked on annoyance. I feel like I'm talking to a pair of hand puppets like this.

Suddenly the door to the bathroom opened. Which is odd cause I don't remember seeing anyone enter there, unless...fuck.

My suspicions were confirmed when Kuesu walked out of the bathroom, wearing nothing but a towel. She gave a pleasant sigh and looked at me. "Oh you're awake." She said happily.

"K-Kuesu-chan? What are you doing here?"

"I snuck into your bed and slept on your chest last night. I woke up some time before you and the girls to take a quick bath." Then she smirked seductively. "Do you like what you see, my love?" She asked, leaning on the door frame seductively.

"I'd answer but I'm kinda choking on my own spit right now." I answered, earning a giggle from her.

"That's all I needed to hear." She kissed my lips for a few seconds before leaving to get changed, winking at me on her way out.

{Who'd have thought the little girl I introduced you to would become a busty minx?}

"Shut up, you old pervert, and go back to sleep." I said before throwing my uniform on and heading downstairs to eat breakfast. Just before I walked out of my room, a magic circle appeared in front of me. My familiar Kaede appeared before me and tackled me back onto my bed. "Oof!"

"Michael-sama! I've missed you! You hardly spend any time with me anymore!" She said, puffing her cheeks. She looked really cute.

"I-I'm sorry Kaede, things have been busy and hectic lately. I mean I hardly have time to myself anymore." I said sheepishly.

"Hmph." She was pouting now, looking even cuter. "Ok I'll let it slide this time. IF you gimme a kiss." Figures.

I kissed her alright, on the cheek. Gotta love loopholes. She was pouting again as I walked to my door. "Hey, ya never said where to kiss ya." I teased before waking out I the room. On my way out I bumped into Raynare-chan. "Oh hey, Raynare-chan. Sorry about that."

"My this house sure has gotten crowded. I remember when it was just you and I, even though it was only for a short time." She replied.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I never anticipated this." I apologized, scratching the back of my head. She shook her head.

"It's fine, you're not at fault. Frankly I can't blame the other girls moving in with you, you are quite the catch." She said tracing circles on my chest.

"If you say so." I respond normally.

"I'll get you to agree to that one day." She said, determined.

"Good luck with that. I'm told I'm stubborn and thick headed." I say as I walk down the steps.

"Which only add to your charms." She's persistent ya gotta give her that.

I sat down at the table, where Himari-chan already was. "This is a surprise, usually you've finished making breakfast." I joked. It sounded better in my head, cause when I said it out loud, it sounded really sexist.

"Asia-san and Rias-san insisted they take care of it today. They wouldn't take no for an answer." She said. Good she didn't seem offended by that joke.

"I see." Asia-chan and Buchou arrived with breakfast. Once they set down everything I said "Thanks for the food! Chow time!" I began eating at an incredible pace, which was considered my regular pace for eating.

"I still don't understand how you can eat as much as you can and not get sick or anything." Raynare-chan said in amazment.

"To think you used to have such a small appetite." Kuesu-chan added.

"Actually..." I swallowed. "I've always had this appetite, even when we were kids. I just pulled back so you wouldn't be weirded out with how much I could eat. But I can't very well do that now, so I'll eat like I normally do." I flashed a toothy grin.

"You should know there's no need to hold back around me, Mike-kun. Afterall I am going to be your wife." Kuesu said happily. But the other girls started glaring at her, except Asia who was only pouting sadly. I don't even want to know what thoughts are going through their heads.

{Ok I'm awake. I miss anything?}

[Nope your timing couldn't be better.]

'I hope you two know you're the bane of my existence.'

Once we arrived at school, I split up from Buchou and the others to quickly hit the bathroom while they went to class. Even if I'm late, it wouldn't be the first time, the teachers expect it from me at this point. As expected, the bell rang just as I got out of the bathroom. "Oh hey I'm late." I shrugged my shoulders. "Oh well." I walked, oh so casually, to my class.

"HEAD'S UP!" A voice shouted. As soon as I turn my head I take a blow to the head and fall on my ass.

"Ah, dammit, that stung." I muttered, rubbing my forehead.

"Ah, sorry bout that. Ouch my butt." I looked ahead of me and saw the guy, with the thick skull, who ran into me.

He was obviously my age. He had messy silver hair and blue eyes and was obviously wearing our school uniform, and he had the first button undone, showing some of his chest. Despite falling and running into me, he was chuckling a little.

I stood up and offered him a hand. "No problem. Come on, Speed Racer, get up." I said as he grabbed my hand and I helped him up.

"Thanks. Sorry, I didn't see ya until ya stepped out of the bathroom. I tried to warn ya bit it was too late." He said.

"No worries. I've been struck by thicker skulls." Along with cut, shot, stabbed etc. I found it appropriate to introduce myself. "Name's Michael Williams. Nice to meet ya." I extended my hand, which he shook.

"I'm Shun Hashimoto. Likewise. Shame our meeting wasn't under better conditions." He seems like a laid back kinda guy.

"If you ask me, Hashimoto-san, it's the strange encounters make the deeper bonds." Geez I sound like an old monk.

"Haha, in this situation, I may have to agree with ya there. Oh and drop the whole last name thing, just call me Shun, with whatever suffix." He insisted.

"I guess Shun-san will do, only if you call me by my name."

"Michael-san it is!" Then his eyes widened and he looked paler. "CRAP! I still gotta get to class!" He ran past me and turned around on the middle of his sprint. "It was nice meeting us Michael-san, hope to see ya around." He said running in place before taking off again.

"Bit of an oddball but he doesn't seem so bad." Then it hit me that I need to get to class too so I head in the opposite direction Shun went in.

After school, Asia-chan and I headed to the clubroom, now that it was finished with its cleaning. As soon as we entered we could immediately see how clean the place was. The floor was so clean I could see my reflection, you could literally eat off it.

Asia-chan walked ahead, she seemed curious about something. I followed her and when we turned the corner we came across a door that had been locked, extra tight. "What's that room?" She asked.

"Honestly, even I don't know. Buchou hasn't told me, she just tells everyone to leave it alone and not go in. But I do sense something coming from that room." I answered. We then went back to the room we usually meet in, where Buchou and Koneko were.

"Now that the building's spotless, we can start anew." Buchou said happily. I then noticed Kiba-san wasn't here. I forgot he never even came to school today.

"I guess it was just an empty dream thinking Kiba would come." I said solemnly. Koneko-chan looked sad as well.

"...Yuuto-senpai." She said sadly. I've never seen her this way and frankly seeing her sad made me sadder. I walked over to her and patted her head, not even thinking of the consequences.

"I'm sure Kiba-san's fine Koneko-chan, he can take care of himself." I assured with a smile. Koneko-chan's cheeks looked kinda red and I didn't wanna make her feel awkward or anything.

"...Thank you, Michael-senpai." I wasn't expecting that reaction from her. She was smiling now, she looks cute when she smiles.

[{Lolicon}]

'Hey if helping my friend, who happens to be a bit smaller, makes me a lolicon, then yeah I'm a lolicon.' I explained.

"Still it'd be reassuring to know where the hell he is." I said with my hands in my pockets.

"He's most likely at home, thinking of a way to find the weilders of Excalibur." Buchou responded.

"Wait, "weilders"? Plural?" I asked.

"You see, the real Excalibur was shattered long ago, into seven pieces. The church found those pieces and created seven new swords from the shattered pieces, using alchemy."

"So there's more than one Excalibur? Fantastic." I said. I already thought Kiba-san already had one Excalibur to worry about and destroy, now it turns out there are seven Excaliburs for him to get revenge on.

I was broken out of out thoughts when the door to the clubroom suddenly opened. "My, my. We're all gathered already?" Akeno-chan asked, walking into the clubroom.

"You're late, Akeno." Rias pointed out.

"I've brought guests." Akeno-chan turned back to the entrance.

"Excuse us." None other than the student council president, Sona Sitri, and the vice-president, Tsubaki Shinra.

"She has some very urgent business with you, Buchou." Akeno-chan said. Wonder what's so important.

"Rias, would you please accompany me to my house?" Sitri-san asked. "No one will be able to interfere there."

"This sounds like serious business." Buchou said.

"It is." I'm almost tempted to request Sona to share with the rest of us, but I'm sure that answer would be "no". Buchou nodded at Sitri-san'srequest.

"Looks like there are no club activities then, so I guess we'll head home." I said, stretching my arms and back. I grabbed my stuff and made my way to the exit. I gave a bow to Sona and Tsubaki. "Good day to you both." I said.

"To you as well, Williams-san." Sitri-san replied as Tsubaki-san just nodded. We all left then an headed to our respective homes.

Asia-chan and I walked some of the way with Akeno-chan and Koneko-chan until we had to split up with them. But I was very curious as to what Sona had to discuss with Buchou. I know it was serious, but I had a feeling that it was worse than it seemed.

"Michael-san?" Asia-chan broke me out of my thoughts. I just realized I had a serious face on the whole time. "Are you okay?" She asked.

"Y-Yeah. Sorry Asia-chan, I was just lost in thought." I answered sheepishly. We finally approached my house, but when we did... "Gh!" There was a familiar feeling coming from my house, a holy presence.

Asia-chan grabbed a hold of my arm, she was shaking. She must've been as scared as I was. I can't blame her, I'm on the verge of shaking too. There's a strong holy presence waiting for us inside my house.

'Is it Freed? No, he's a fly compared to this.' I thought. I finally let go of this unbearable fear I had and approached the door to my house, with Asia-chan still clinging to my arm. As we got closer, I only got more and more terrified because the holy presence only got stronger with each step. I was shaking, like Asia-chan, and I was sweating out of fear.

But for a brief moment my fear disappeared an I stopped sweating and shaking because...

"WELCOME HOME DUMBASS!" It seemed my uncle came by for another visit.

I forgot all about my fear and solely focused on this moron. I grabbed the doorknob as kicked the door off once again. This time when he did I lifted the door up and threw it and him back into the house. By now Asia-chan had let go off me and I chased after my uncle.

As he stood back up on his feet I was already sprinting towards him at full speed. I jumped off the floor, still wearing my shoes, and planted my feet on his face, drop kicking him. "YOU IDIOT!" I shouted as I kicked him.I had so much force I kicked him through a wall at the end of the hallway. "Have you lost your mind, old man!? Wait what am I talking about!? You lost you mind years ago, that's assuming you had a mind! I mean you could've hit Asia-chan in the crossfire!" I scolded, yelling and pointing, at my idiot uncle in the wall. Then I pointed at the entrance. "To make thing worse you broke my door again!"

"You're really starting to hone in on you instincts, nitwit. But you're still light years away from surpassing me!" He said, stepping out of the hole in the wall and ignoring my words.

"Why don't you pick your dumb ass up and we'll see how far I am!?" I yelled, making a fist.

"As much as I'd love to throw your sorry self all around your house..." He started, patting himself down and removing some splinters on him. "...I'd rather not fight in front of your guests." I looked at him quizzically.

"Guests?"

"That would be us Mi-chan." My eyes widened at the sound of that nickname. There's only one person I know who calls me by that name.

I turn to my living room and I see two girls sitting on my couch. The girl on the right had short blue hair with a single green fringe on the right side and had brown eyes. Next to her was a large item wrapped in cloth, I assumed it was a holy sword, judging from the headache it's giving me. And the girl on the left had violet eyes and chestnut brown hair tied into twin ponytails. Both of them were wearing cloaks that signaled them as members of the church.

Those violet eyes, the color of her hair, and the name she called me by, I knew exactly who she was. "I-Iri-chan." I muttered. "It's really you, Iri-chan!" I said with a wide smile.

"You remember me Mi-chan! Im so happy to see you remember me! It's been so long since we saw each other, I didn't think you'd recognize me since I was such a tomboy when we were kids." She spoke happily. Then her expression saddened a littlee. "But you changed too, didint you, Mi-kun?" I knew what she was saying. She wasnt't talking about how my appearence had changed.

She knew immediately that I was a Devil.

"I'm so glad you're both safe."

Buchou embraced Asia and I once we were in my room. Irina and the other girl left about thirty minutes ago, and I kicked Sora out again not too long after. Even though Irina was a member of the church, and technically my enemy, she spoke to me as if nothing had changed. I was just happy to see her again after so long. I had missed her dearly, and she clearly missed me too. Not long after Irina and the other two left, Rias came home.

Luckily while everything was going down with Irina, her friend, and my uncle in my house, Raynare and the other girls were asleep, good thing they're heavy sleepers or everything downstairs would've made things awkward.

"Are you injured?" Rias asked. "I think they knew about us being devils, but I think they couldn't lay a hand on us in a normal residence and especially in front of your uncle who's a normal human."

"Buchou, relax. Asia and I are fine." I assured.

"Aaah, Michael. I'm glad... If something were to happen to you and Asia, I... Sona told me about people from the church intruding the town. And I heard that they have a holy sword with them, and I assumed the worst had happened to my cute servants." Rias seemed really worried about us.

"Well we're perfectly fine. See?" I spin around to show her that I'm unharmed and Asia nodded. "No worries." I added.

Rias giggled at my reassurance. "I'm happy to see that you're both unharmed." She sighed in relief.

"I'm going out on a limb here and assuming that Iri-chan and that other girl are related to what Sitri-senpai wanted to talk to you about?" I guessed. Rias seemed surprised for some reason.

"W-well yes it was, but, Michael... You know one of those girls from the church?" She asked. Now that I think about it that probably wasn't the best idea, calling Irina by her name.

"...Maybe." Rias glared at my response. "Okay yes I know her. She's the girl in that picture I showed you with the Holy-Sword. She's... An old friend." I found it beat not to tell her the whole story between us. I'm treading dangerous enough waters.

"And there's nothing more between you two?" Rias asked intensely.

'Shit! She's really scary when she glares like that.'

{Well the Gremory clan is very affectionate, and obsessive, towards their servants.}

'Great.'

"Y-Yeah there's nothing more or less between us. Just two friends who haven't seen each other in a long time." I assured smiling and, sweating a little, nervously. After staring me down a bit more, Rias regained her previous composure.

"Ok." She said happily. But I know she'll find out one way or another, and that's when all hell will break loose, I just know it. "Anyway, it appears that the two from earlier approached Sona earlier, and requested an audience with me, the devil Rias Gremory, who is using this town as her territory." She explained.

"Church affiliates wanna negotiate... With a devil?" I asked an Rias nodded.

"I don't know what their intentions are, but they'll be coming to the clubroom after school tomorrow. They apparently promised God, they won't attack us." She said.

"I don't like the feel of this whole thing." I muttered, loud enough.

"I'm a little skeptical myself. But they're believers of God who want something from us devils, their supposed enemies. They seem desperate and it's certain that it's trouble. From their story, the priests that come to this town keep getting killed." I haven't seen Rias so serious since the fight with Raiser.

And I can't blame her. I get the feeling a storm's coming.

The next day

Good news: Kiba actually came to school today!

Bad news: When everyone, including Irina and her friend, we're in the club room, he never stopped glaring at them from the same spot he was at, leaning on the door.

I swear to the person Irina and the other girl worship, he was ready to vent his, certain, anger by killing those two. Rias saw this, I felt it, everyone was certain as to what was going on in Kiba's head at the moment. The first to speak, and break the tense atmosphere, was Irina-chan.

"Recently the Holy-Swords Rxcaliburs that were kept by the Catholic Church Headquarter Vatican, Protestant Church, and Eastern Orthodox Church were stolen."

'There are seven serrated Excalibur swords and three were just stolen from three different church factions!? Assuming they're all now in the possession of the same person that could be trouble for us.' I thought. 'One of them would be bad enough, but three in the hands of one person? That's be some serious trouble.'

"This Excalibur I hold is Excalibur Destruction. The Catholic Church is in control of it." The blue haired girl said, showing us the sword wrapped on cloth. Judging by the name "Destruction" I don't think I'd wanna take a hit from that sword especially.

Irina pulled out a rope, it seemed to be moving somehow. Suddenly the rope's shaped changed and turned into a standard katana. Is that an Excalibur sword too? "Mine is Excalibur Mimic. I can change its shape into anything I want so it's really useful for carrying around." Irina explained. "Just like this, each Excalibur has its own unique ability. This one is in the position of the Protestant Church."

"Irina... There's no reason to tell these devils the ability of Excalibur, is there?" Least Irina's still got her own way of thinking, if that's what you wanna call it.

"But Xenovia, even if they are devils we still have to form a trustworthy relationship with them in this situation. Also, even if my sword is revealed, I won't fall behind all these devils here." Irina said confidently. If she felt the killer intent I was feeling from Kiba, she might be shaking a little. Kiba was glaring intensely at the two Excaliburs. I only hope he can keep himself from attacking them, cause I may have to stop him otherwise. Irina may be considered my enemy, but I refuse to let any harm come to her.

"So what do the stolen Excaliburs have to do with this country located in the east of the world?" Buchou asked. She still has her calm demeanor, not bad I gotta say.

"Each of the three church factions are on possession of two Excaliburs. The last sword went missing in the previous war between God, devils, and fallen angels. One Excalibur was stolen from each church. The ones that stole them escaped to Japan, and brought them to this town." The blue haired girl, named Xenovia, said.

{What's so special about this town? Why is everyone suddenly doing everything here?}

'Your guess is as good as mine.'

"Looks like my territory is full of incidents. So who are the ones that stole the Excaliburs?" Buchou asked.

"The ones who stole them were the Grigori." Rias eyes widened at the answer Xenovia gave her.

"The Holy-Swords were taken by the fallen angel organization? It's not a matter of mistake. But certainly it would be the fallen angels when it comes to stealing them. For the devils working at the top, Holy-Swords does not goe them much interest." Whoever these Grigori guys are they seem like a big deal, dangerous too.

"We know the main culprit who stop the Excaliburs. One of the leaders of Grigori, Kokabiel."

{Kokabiel!?} My dad seems to know Kokabiel, I'll have to ask him about that later. He sounded angry and slightly scared as well.

"Kokabiel... One of the leaders of the fallen Angela that survived the previous wars since ancient times... I never expected to hear the name of the one that appears from the Bible." So he's in the Bible, no wonder I never heard of him, I never read the Bible. Religion and I on general never mixed, yet Irina still found me interesting somehow, given how devoted she is to her beliefs.

"We sent priests, exorcists, to this town secretly but they kept getting killed." And we're missing this shit how? "Our request... No. Our order is to not have any devils intrude in the battle between us and the fallen angels for the Excaliburs. In other words, we came to tell you not to interfere with this incident." Xenovia said, straightforwardly.

"Such manners of speech. Is it restraint? Are you thinking that we might collaborate with fallen angels? Perhaps that we might team up with them to do something with Excalibur?" Buchou asked, a bit annoyed at Xenovia's assumption.

"It seems you already have." Xenovia faced me. "While I was at his house the other day, I felt the presence of a fallen angel in his house. It took all my willpower to restrain myself from dealing with the fallen angel." She's talking about Raynare.

"Yes, the reason for that is-"

"She's my friend." I cut Buchou off. Xenovia was staring intensely at me now. "She means no harm. Believe me when I say she's a kind girl with a good heart and won't harm anyone unless she feels they're a threat. She's like a bee now: if you don't harm her, she'll leave you be. If you do harm her, she'll harm you." I explained. I had more to say but that'd most likely start a conflict between us.

"Even so, the higher ups don't trust devils and fallen angels. We were ordered as "If the holy-swords are taken away from God's side then the devils would also be happy, right? The fallen angels would also profit from it. For these reasons, it won't be weird for them to form an alliance. That's why we are giving you a warning. If you form an alliance with fallen angel Kokabiel, then we will eliminate you all. Even if you're the little sister of a Satan, by our boss" Xenovia wasn't even affected by the glare Buchou was giving her.

"...If you know that I am the sister of a Satan, then it means that you have lots of connections with the higher ups in the church. Then I will say it. We will not form an alliance with the fallen angels. Never. In the name of the Gremory house. I will not do something that would tarnish the name of our Satan!" Buchou assured strongly.

"Fu. Hearing that is good enough. I had to warn you just in case Kokabiel is hiding himself in this town along with the three Excaliburs. If something were to happen, I would be the one to be hated by the bunch in the Church headquarters. Well, we won't ask for cooperation. If you want to form an alliance with God's side temporarily, then it would affect the balance of the three factions. Especially if it's the little sister of a Satan." Xenovia stated firmly. Buchou seemed to calm down after hearing what she said.

"Where is the person of the Orthodox Church dispatched?" Buchou asked. I doubt they'd give away important information like that. Well Irina might.

"They have that person on hold for this case. They are planning to protect the last Excalibur of Irina and I fail." Or Xenovia will answer anyway. Why the fuck not?

"So it's just the two of you? You are going to retrieve the Excaliburs from the leader of the fallen angels with just the to of you? How reckless. Are you trying to die?" Rias said with an amazed voice.

"Yes."

"I have the same view as Irina, but if it's possible I don't want to die."

Both Irina and Xenovia answered bluntly. I quickly glanced at Irina. Is she really so devoted to her faith she'll willingly die? I don't want that to happen to her.

"...You came here to Japan prepared to die? The belief in your teaching is extreme as always." Buchou said. Frankly I couldn't agree more.

"Don't talk ill of our beliefs, Rias Gremory. Right, Xenovia?"

"Right. Also the Church decided that it would be better to eliminate all of the Excaliburs rather than letting them get used by the fallen angels. Our minimum objective is to get the Excaliburs away from the fallen angels. To compliance that, it's okay for us to die. The only way to fight against the Excaliburs are Excaliburs." Kiba's probably losing his mind over hearing the word "Excalibur" so many times.

But these two, I'll give them props for their strong beliefs. But to die, willingly, just for the sake of God. This is why I sometimes hate religion. At some point people like Irina and Xenovia come along and think it's okay to just die, just because it's for the sake of their God.

"Is it possible with only the two of you?" Buchou asked.

"Well, we won't die in vain." Nothing phases this chick I swear. She's a fucking rock.

"You seem confident. Do you have a secret weapon?"

"Maybe. I will leave it to your imagination." Xenovia answered.

'Ten bucks says it's another Holy-Sword.'

Xenovia stared and Buchou at each other for a minute. Soon her and Irina stood up. "Then we will take out leave. Let's go Irina."

"So you won't drink your tea? I can prepare a snack for you." Buchou offered. Xenovia denied with her hand.

"I don't need it." She said.

"I'm sorry. See you. Bye Mi-chan, I look forward to our next meeting!." She waved to me. Suddenly, her and Xenovia turned and faced Asia. I already don't like this.

"When I saw you in Michael Williams's house I thought that maybe it was you. Are you the "Witch" Asia Argento? I never expected to meet you in a place like this." Xenovia asked. Once she uttered the word "witch" to Asia I got pissed, but I was forced to restrain myself.

"Are you the rumored "witch"? The former holy-maiden? You are said to have the power that can also heal devils and fallen angels, right? I heard that you were sent somewhere after getting exiled, but I never thought you'd become a devil." Even Irina is approaching Asia like this. I expected better from her.

"..Ummmmm...I...I..." Asia was shaking.

"It's okay. I won't tell the higher ups what I saw here, so rest assured. People who were around the "Holy-maiden Asia" will also get shocked as well." Irina assured, but Asia remained silent and was still shaking.

"But to become a devil. The one who was called a "Holy-maiden". You fell to the lowest place you could. Do you still believe in our God?" Xenovia's words made my blood boil hotter and hotter.

"Xenovia. There's no way that she, who became a devil, still believes on God." Irina said with an amazed face.

"No. I can smell the "belief" from her. It might be an abstract way of saying it. But I'm sensitive to these things. There are people who betray the teachings and still have guilt within them because they couldn't forget the teachings. I can feel something similar coming from her." Xenovia explained, which made Irina even more interested in Asia.

"Is that true? Asia-san, you still believe in God even if you have turned into a devil?" Irina asked.

"...I just can't put it aside. I believe in it my whole life..." Asia said sadly. Xenovia took out the sword she was carrying and pointed it at Asia. My eyes widened at this.

"Is that so. Then you Gould be cut down by us this instant. If it's now, I can cut you in the name of God. Even if you have sinned, our God will forgive you." She said, taking a step closer towards Asia.

I lunged at Xenovia and attempted to break her sword with a punch from my right fist, but she pulled her sword back and I just punched the floor. I stood straight up again and glared at both of them with red eyes. "Try that again and I won't miss!" I said in my distorted voice. "How dare you refer to Asia as a witch! Since when are followers of God so cruel an cold-hearted!?"

"I call her a witch because that is precisely what she is." She's so fucking casual about it!

"You fucking bitch! This girl is too innocent and kind to be seen as a witch! Yet no one would see her as anything more than a heretic! She was alone for the longest time, no friends to comfort her in her time of need!" I said, angrily, gritting my teeth.

"She had God's love."

"Oh!" I said in mock understanding. "She had God's love. Then it makes perfect fucking sense for you hypocrites for looking down on her and belittling this poor girl! All because she healed one fucking devil, and only because she was too kind hearted to do otherwise. Before that she was all but celebrated! After that, she's just a "witch", so you call her, to use for your own damn gain!" I yelled, drawing blood from my left hand, on account of me clenching my fist so damn tight.

"Mi-chan..." Irina said.

"I expected better from you Irina Shido! The Irina I knew would never belittle someone like you have, that Irina wouldn't even let others be insulted without so much as an argument!" I scolded her, giving her the same glare I gave Xenovia. I saw that my words hurt her, but I stand by what I said.

"What are you to Asia?" Xenovia asked me. I placed my right fist over my heart.

"I'm her friend! I'm the one who will fight and kill if I need too for her!" I declared.

"Is that a threat?"

"It's a fucking promise! And I don't break promises, only bones and spirits!"

"Michael, sto-"

"That's nice timing. I will be your opponent." Kiba said, drawing his sword.

"Who are you?" Xenovia asked.

"I'm your senpai. Though I apparently was a failure." Kiba said, smirking. Then a countless number of demonic-swords appeared in the club room. Looks like I'll get to vent my anger

Kiba, Xenovia, Irina, and myself, made their way to the field near the school. Kiba was facing Xenovia and would be facing Irina, my eyes had returned to their respective light brown color now. Irina was looking at me sadly or sincerely.

"Mi-chan..." She uttered my name sadly.

"I'm sorry about before Iri-chan. My fuse has gotten shorter as of late. Plus you know how I am when someone threatens my friends." I apologized and she nodded, smiling a little now.

"Then let's start." Xenovia and Irina removed their white robes and revealed their black battle purpose clothes. And damn did it show their fucking curves! Xenovia removed the cloth on her sword and Irina's Excalibur turned into a katana again.

"Even if it's just a match, be cautios of the holy-swords." Buchou warned.

"Just let us do what we do." I said smirking and stabbing placing my guitar case that had Rebellion in it, on the ground. Kiba suddenly started laughing as he activated his Sacred Gear.

"...Are you laughing?" Xenovia asked.

"Yeah. The thing I wanted to defeat and destroy appeared right in front of me. But for me to encounter it this early." He answered.

"...Sword Birth huh. The possessor can create any demonic-sword they imagine in their head. It's unique among Demonic-sword related Sacred Gears...I had heard that you were a "subject" that avoided from being disposed by the "Holy-sword Project"...Is that you?" Xenovia asked. Kiba didn't dignify her with a response. He just raised his killer intent.

"I don't think I like where this is going." I said, worriedly, sending some of my power into my guitar case, causing it to explode, revealing Rebellion. As well as activating my Boosted Gear. "

[Boost!]

"...The demonic-sword Rebellion and a Longinus." Irina said, surprised.

"Is that a Boosted Gear? I never thought that I would meet the person possessed by the Welsh Dragon on a far eastern country like this..." Xenovia said, just as surprised as Irina.

"Xenovia!" Irina called her partner. Xenovia turned and saw that Kiba was charging her.

"You might wanna focus on me!" I warned charging Irina as well. Kiba and I raised our swords at their respective opponents and brought them down simultaneously. "Just cause we're old friends doesn't mean I won't try to win." I said to my opponent.

"Well it'd be boring if you didn't try." Irina replied playfully.

"Sacred Gear, Sword Birth and Boosted Gear. And also the Twilight Healing that Asia Argento has. All of them are Sacred Gears that are said to be a heresy to us. Maybe it was right for you to become a devil." Xenovia said, smirking.

"My power is also made from the power made by my comrades hatred, who were killed while filled with regret! I will beat those with Excalibur with this power, and I will destroy that Excalibur!" Kiba declared, vowing his revenge out loud.

"Oh boy." Mike whispered to myself. Irina jumped back, away from my sword. I grunted and raised my sword. When I swung it, I unleashed a single Drive blast towards Irina. She jumped away of the incoming attack. "Sorry Iri-chan..." I lept into the air as well "...But I gotta give ya some kind of challenge." I swung my sword with great force, but Irina quickly parried my attack with her sword.

She then knocked my sword out of my hand by forcing me to lose my grip. "Uh oh." I let my body free fall to the ground. Once I landed, I rushed to grab my sword, which was stabbed in the ground.

Irina landed as well and went to great lengths to keep me away from my sword. Once I reached for the hilt, Irina tried cutting the palm of my hand, but I quickly stopped the movement of my hand, causing Irina to miss. Then I thrusted my free left hand to grab the hilt of the sword. She tried attacking again, but I lifted his body up, keeping his grip on my sword. I kicked her sword away, then used the momentum to spin on the hilt of my sword, and delivered a strong kick to the face, causing her to fall flat on her butt.

[Boost!]

"Oh crap!" I cursed, thinking that was to much. "I'm sorry Iri-chan, I didn't mean to kick you that hard! I just really got into it! I'm sorry!" I apologized repeatedly.

"Owww." Irina moaned, rubbing her sore cheek. "I'm okay. It just stings a little."

"Sorry. I guess my battle instincts just kicked in." I apologized again.

"Really, I'm fine."

"Well after that little display, I suggest we end it here, huh?" I suggested, offering a hand to help her up.

"Yeah. I didn't want to fight you in the first place anyway, Mi-kun." She said, taking my hand. I pulled her up and she gave me a warm smile that I knew all too well.

"Haaaaaaaaa!" Kiba's yell snapped us out of our small trance. I almost forgot he had his own fight going on. Kiba had summoned a sword, bigger than any other sword I've seen him summon. It was as tall as it's wielder. "The destructive power of that holy-sword or the destructive power of my demonic-sword! We'll see which one is stronger!" He said, swinging his giant sword with great force.

"*sigh* It's a shame. You made the wrong decision." Xenovia sighed, unintimidated by Kiba's attack.

She then destroyed Kiba's sword with ease. She cut through it like it was butter. Her Excalibur is that strong?

"Your weapon is a variety of the sword you can create and your speed. You would need a lot of strength to swing a gigantic sword like that, and you will lose the speed that you are proud of. Are you seeking destructive power? From your fighting style, it's something unnecessary. Don't you even know that?" Xenovia asked. She then rises Kiba and hit him in the stomach with the pommel of her sword. Just THAT was able to create a shockwave. I'm kinda scared of that girl now.

"Gaha!" The impact of the blow to his stomach, caused Kiba to vomit a little.

"Even if it's not a hit with the blade, that hit just now will be enough to stop you from standing for awhile." Xenovia said. She gave Kiba a quick glare and turned around.

"...Wa... Wait!" Kiba tried to stop her, but he just couldn't accept that he was bested in battle, by a holy-sword nonetheless.

"Senpai, I suggest you fight with coolness the neat time we fight. Rias Gremory, I trust you with the talk from earlier. Also, you should train your servants a bit more. There's a limit for polishing their battling style." Now Kiba was glaring at Xenovia. She didn't pay him any mind as she looked at me.

"I will tell you one thing. Vanishing Dragon has already awakened." She said "Vanishing Dragon". That's the same name Ddraig mentioned, the one who's supposed to be my rival. "You will meet him eventually, but in your current state the most you can do is get a few good hits in, but in the end, you will lose." With that, she grabbed her stuff and left.

"Wait for me Xenovia. Mi-chan, I can't wait to see you again." Irina gave me a wink and followed Xenovia.

Asia was ready to heal me with her Sacred Gear as she rushed over to me. She seemed really worried about me. I waved my hand and said "I'm fine Asia. Don't worry. I exhausted myself more than anything."

"...You looked cool out there." Koneko said, approaching me.

"Heheh. Ya think so?" I asked sheepishly. Koneko nodded.

"Hold on! Yuuto!" Buchou yelled to her knight, who looked ready to leave. As to where, I have no clue. "I won't forgive you if you leave me! You are the Knight of the Gremory group. I will also be troubled if you turn into an exiled. Wait this instant!"

"...I was able to run away from there, thanks to my comrades. That's why I have to put their regrets into my demonic-swords..." He started walking away. I scurried to my feet and went after him in an attempt to talk to him.

"Hold on, Kiba!" I said, blocking his path.

"Don't try and stop me, Michael-san."

"I'm not. Just let me say my piece." He sighed and I started talking. I only said a simply phrase. "Don't let your need for revenge consume you. I've seen first hand what kind of outcome that comes from that." I stepped out of the way. He idly walked past me. "Good luck." I muttered.

I dropped Asia off at home and went off on my own soon after. I needed to clear my head of all the events that happened today. Iri-chan is considered an enemy now, Kiba's lost in his need for revenge, and my dad seems so worked up over this Kokabiel guy. Speaking of which...

"Hey, Dad. What's the deal with this Kokabiel guy? You seemed surprised when Xenovia mentioned him. Who is he an old associate or something?" I asked, speaking out loud, since no one was out tonight.

{By no means is that foul creature an associate of mine!}

"Jeez you got a lot a hate for this guy. What'd he do to you to piss you off so bad?"

{He's the one who killed me.} I stopped walking. I stood on the sidewalk, staring ino the distance with a blank expression. {I must have repressed the memory of him long ago. It wasn't until the girls from the church mentioned him that the scene of my death started playing my mind again.}

"Why would he kill you?" I asked in a low tone.

{It was simple: I was a devil and he's a fallen angel who never saw peace as anything more than a nuisance. He was obsessed with war. Apparently he didn't have his fill in the last one. As a matter of fact, the recent attacks on you were most likely courtesy of him as well.}

I clenched my fists and gritted my teeth. So Kokabiel's the reason for everything. He killed my father, stole the Excalibur fragments from the church, and now he seemed to be making an attempt to kill me as well. "So he's threatened by me, huh? Well I'm gonna give him a reason to feel threatened." I muttered.

"A shitty devil talking his worthless self in the middle of the night. Making empty threats as well it seems, now that's a riot." I recognized that voice and the way he talked about devils.

I turned my head and out of the corner of my eye I saw him.

"Freed Sellzen."

I should also mention I'm back in school sooo... Yeah. That's gonna put a damper on the already damp surface. But I'm starting to get my drive back so hopefully I can get shit done.

One more thing I wanna mention, the revising might take a lot longer than I thought to get all in. Cause I'm gonna do what I can I make some scenes a bit longer and more entertaining, I might add a new scene entirely. Add all that to the lack of energy I have to do anything nowadays, this may take awhile. So I'm very sorry if I take as long as it did to get this chapter out. Feel free to rip me a new one in however you see fit, I more than deserve it.
