Chapter 16: Blood

OCs are mine

Okay so I'm actually just gonna respond to the barrage of flames I got since the last chapter, and I gotta say I'm convinced that all those were from the same guest just using a different name every time. I don't even care if I'm wrong let's just get this outta my system.

crimsonfkr: First: my mother is dead and she was a saint. Second: Really? A "my mom" insult? That's all you can throw at me? If you're gonna insult me, at least be somewhat clever, cause I honestly feel bad for you that you can't throw a decent insult to a terrible fanfic author.

guest: and it takes you 9 chapters to say something I'm already aware of, and trying to fix, because?

GUEST: You feelin good about yourself? Ya feel good trying to convince me into killing myself for a shitty story? I say shitty cause I know this story doesn't deserve a compliment such as "crappy".

dmc: Another "kill yourself" review, and not nearly as clever or convincing as the last one. Kudos.

Guest: I completely agree. But hey, people like it, that's all I need.

Seriously I think those flames gave me cancer due to how stupid they were. I can't stress enough how much I hate people who read a story just to rip the author a new asshole, especially when they've read like 10 chapters already and have pointed out something that the author's admitted to multiple times. And is writing a terrible story grounds for someone to kill themselves, even if they aren't serious? But I also hate flames cause they offer no advice to help the author make the story better. If you gimme a helpful tip, I won't have to make your "insults" look like a two year old throwing a small temper tantrum, which they all basically are at this point.

I get insulted literally everyday in every possible way. I've heard literally everything. Call me a "failed abortion" call me a "waste of my dad's jizz" call me "an uneducated worthless disappointment to all my friends and family" I've been called every single one of those at least a hundred times.

Tell me to kill myself in the worst possible way. Tell me to go to prison for being an uneducated fuckwad. Tell me to repeatedly jam a knife into my skull. I've heard it all so many times I've started calling them compliments and I laugh at them. I just feel bad for those who insult me cause they couldn't get an erection from actually making me mad.

Okay I got the annoyance outta my system and I think the tumor in my head from the sheer idiocy is gone, so let's get on with the story shall we?

On with the show!

"Hehehehe."

"You still have an annoying laugh, damn priest." I said coldly to Freed.

"Aww~! Is that any way to say hello? You nasty devils, have zero manners, and you can sure ruin a happy reunion." He whined.

"I don't need a lecture about manners, from you of all people, Freed." I retorted, with venom coming from my words. "What do you want? I doubt you and I just ran into each other by sheer coincidence." I asked.

"Who knew you had a brain in that filthy skull of yours?" He asked sarcastically. "*sigh* This reminds of of when we met and I tried to turn you into an unholy stain on the walls. You coul barely put two and two together."

"Answer me, Freed! I'm in no mood to play your stupid games." I demanded. Freed puffed his cheeks as he spoke.

"You're no fun." His face returned to "normal", I guess you could say. "I'm here to tie up a loose end, IE: you."

"Loose end?"

"You're a disgusting hindrance on my new awesome boss' awesome plan."

"New boss?" I repeated, them it clicked in my head. "Kokabiel?"

"DING DING! Isn't he so smart?" Freed cheered childishly.

"You're starting to piss me off. Believe me when I say that tonight is a horrible night to annoy me." I warned. "Tell Kokabiel if he wants me, he can get me himself. He's got two arms that aren't broken, not yet anyway."

"Sorry, I don't take orders from a scum sucking thing such as yourself." Freed replied, waving his hand. "Besides I'm sure the boss wouldn't even need to get off his chair to discipline you like I'm about to."

"You sound confident. I hope you know I haven't just been lazing around since our last fight. I'm a lot stronger now, and don't need my friends help to take you down." I smirked as I stared him down with a sharp gaze.

"Oh my! That's an intense gaze you're giving me! It's getting me even more exited to color the pavement with you blood! Oh I'm so ready for this! Behold!" He shouted, opening his coat to reveal three swords attached to the inside of it.

"Big deal. I got swords too. I just don't have any on me." I muttered the last part to myself.

"Get a good feel of the energy they're giving off, devil." After looking the blades over I realized that they were all giving off holy energy. Kinda like...

"Excalibur."

"That's right, devil-kun! My super great boss gave me these super great swords to kill you in a super great way!"

"Wow."

"Impressive aren't they?" Freed asked, smirking confidently.

"Yeah, I can't believe a fallen angel leader gave you three Excalibur fragments." I said in honest shock.

"Belive it. My boss has complete faith tha-"

"Is Kokabiel really that stupid?" I asked, cutting him off.

"WHAT!?"

"Well you're not exactly the ripest apple on the tree, anyone with a sixteenth of a brain can tell that at first glance." I said with a straight face. Freed narrowed his eyes at me.

"You worthless devil! I'll use your entrails as a necklace!" He said pulling out one of the swords as he charged me. He was behind me before I could pull out my guns. He was faster than I remembered. Is it the sword fragment?

As he thrusted his blade forward, I ducked underneath his sword and sent a hard elbow to his stomach. Then I swept him off his feet and used my right arm to uppercut his jaw, I used my spectral hand to send him further into the air. When I looked up to where he went, I couldn't find him.

'I sent him high, but I should still be able to see him with ease. He's not THAT slippery either, so where is he?'

"Peek-a-boo~" His voice chimmed behind me. I turned around and blocked his sword with my two guns. I saw that he was using a different sword now. Just as I adjusted one of my guns, aimed at his head, Freed and te sword disappeared and I no longer felt the resistance of the sword.

'So that sword turns him invisible. Perfect.' I groaned in my head.

I soon felt him behind me again, and I could feel the sword teased up against my neck, and dammit it burned.

"Feeling a bit hot devil-kun?" He asked sarcastically. I felt his disgusting tongue run up my neck, sending a chill up and down my spine. "I've spilled gallons of devil blood, literally gallons, but I think I'll enjoy the sight of yours the most." His breath on my neck just makes me wanna throw up.

"Hate to break it to ya, but my blood isn't gonna be staining this sidewalk." I laid my gun on his shoulder and pulled the trigger, causing his ear to ring at the close range of the gun shot.

"FUCK!" He screamed covering his ear and moving the sword away from my throat. Freed then disappeared from me again. I bit down on my left hand, causing blood to flow out. The blood flowed into my right arm and once I withdrew my guns, I summoned a black sledgehammer with an image of a red bird devouring a snake on the top of the head. It also had the sharp spikes at the end of it.

"Get out here at fight me like a man!" I said as I swung the hammer into the concrete, sending a shockwave throughout the surrounding area. Freed appeared in front of me and he dropped his sword. "Here's one of my toys, I call this one: Thunderbird. Whatever solid object it makes contact with, sends a powerful shockwave. The magnitude ranges from one to ten. I just used three, and I kinda wanna see what happens when I use a magnitude of ten on someone's skull. That'd probably feed my sadistic appetite for a week." I said smirking devilishly.

"Oooh~! I love that look you're giving off! It's as intoxicating as your previous look of anger when that Raynare bitch killed that worthless nun!" Something snapped in my mind. I swung my hammer again, with a magnitude of 5. "Whoa! Almost forgot how short that fuse was." I grabbed his throat with my right hand as Thunderbird vanished, so I pulled out Ivory and put it in his vile mouth.

"I should blow your brains out!" I growled with my red eyes. My finger slowly started tightening on the trigger. But I don't pull it. Instead I hit him on the side of his hea with the bottom of the gun. "But if I did that, you wouldn't be able to deliver my message to Kokabiel."

"Kheheheheheh." He laughed wickedly. "Tell him yourself, you worthless shitstain!"

After he said that, I felt something grab my right arm. My arm was yanked back and I felt my bones start to break and muscles tear.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" I screamed in pure absolute pain as the figure continued pulling on my arm. With one quick movement, my arm was completely torn of from just above my elbow. "GAAAAAAAAAAHH!" I screamed even louder, falling to my knees, grasping what remained of my right arm. "GAH! FUCKING SHIT! WHAT THE FUCK!?" I turned around and saw a rather tall man with very pale skin, long black hair, eyes that were completely red, and long pointed ears. He wore a fancy black robe which only made him more intimidating. I knew this man, I had been hearing his description for a long time now. "Kokabiel."

"So this is the Sparda's brat? I've only heard small rumors of you floating around, but I must say they seemed to have been highly exaggerated. I'm very disappointed in your lack of strength. Seems all those demons I sent after you were just meaningless deaths." He spoke as my vision started to blur and I started feeling lightheaded. Wasn't long after til I passed out, with Kokabiel's evil grin being the last thing I saw.

Regular POV

Michael's body flopped to the floor, a puddle of blood forming around him from his stumped arm. Freed stood back up and wiped himself down, getting the dirt and dust off of his robes. "I had everything under control. I was just about slice his stomach wide open and skip rope with his innards." He said to his boss.

"I have no doubt." Kokabiel responded, looking down at the one armed half-devil. "But Valper needed one last puzzle piece. And now we have it." Kokabiel lifted Michael's right arm, the light of said arm was completely put out after being ripped from the owner.

"Well you could've called me to do it. Personally it would've been a riot for me!"

"Your holy swords would have destroyed the arm and the body, we need both in tact, according to Valper. I have a theory about the arm, as for the body itself, he's probably got a few experiments in mind. Besides I wanted to see for myself how strong Sparda's son is, but it seemed to have ended in disappointment." Kokabiel turned around and stared into the moon. "Take the body, we're leaving."

Freed grinned and slung the body over his shoulder "Aye aye, Captain!" He obeyed, giving a salute. Ten black wings appeared from Kokabiel's back. He and Freed Sellzen fled the area.

Michael's POV

[Wake up, kid]

Ddraig's voice caused me to slowly open my eyes. I was in a seemingly uncomfortable position. I felt like I was suspended off the ground, attached to something cold on the wall. My arm was firmly at-

'Wait arm? Singular?'

[Your other arm was ripped off, remember?]

'Damn that's right.'

[Your father isn't here anymore. I felt his presence disappear when the fallen angel tore off your arm. You've been out for four hours by the way, the sun's up already.]

'Great. So where am I?'

[Take a good look.]

Once I got a good look around, I saw that I really was attached to something, a table that was at a vertical angle. I was also missing my shirt and shoes, leaving me in just my pants. What remained of my right arm was wrapped in bandages while my left arm was latched onto the table. The room I was in reeked of blood and flesh. There were jars and containers of various sizes perched on shelves. They contained some rather disturbing items, ranging from horrible smelling chemicals to body parts. There was a tray of surgical tools next to the angled table I was attached to, tools that were covered in dried up blood that belonged to all kinds of figures.

Footsteps were the only sound I could hear outside my own thoughts and Ddraig's voice, at the moment. I cocked my head to the right, where the footsteps originated.

An old man with glasses and a moustache and priest robes appeared before me with a conniving smile.

"Ah, finally awake I see." He said to me.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"My name is Valper Galilei. I'm a scientist with extensive knowledge on Holy Swords, specifically Excalibur."

"That's one question, now for my next: What do you want from me?" I asked.

"Well I already have what I want from you." He pulled out my right arm from behind his back. "This arm is the key to reviving Excalibur."

"Why would you need a devil's arm to "revive" a Holy Sword?"

"I could tell you, but I'd just be wasting my breath and my time." He placed my arm on a separate table and put on a pair of gloves and a surgical mask before taking a syringe from off the other table next to me. "I'd rather use the short time we have learning more about you and what makes you tick. It's not often I get to study a human/devil hybrid, such as ourself." He inserted the needle into my neck and drew some blood out. When he pulled the needle out he looked in awe at the blood in the syringe as more blood slowly ran down my body from my neck. "Truly a sight to behold."

You know I'm gonna kill you once I get outta this?" I threatened him.

"I have no doubt you'll try. But even if you were to kill me, there's a holy barrier surrounding this place, you won't be able to leave without getting burned to a crisp." He said as he used another syringe to draw more blood. Once he was done, he had four syringes full of my blood. "These blood samples will prove quite useful. I'm very excited to start the tests on them. As for you... I'll let things end there for now." He packed away the blood samples and my arm before he moved towards the exit. "I'll come by later tonight to do some more experiments on you. I look forward to working with you, son of Sparda." He left the room, leaving me alone with nothing but Ddraig to keep me company.

[You okay?] Ddraig asked me.

'I'm dizzy, weak, and I'm minus an arm. And this isn't even my worst day.' I answered as I struggled to stay conscious. 'I can easily break out of these restraints, but it'd be pointless, with that damn barrier. The others don't know where I am either, so there's another option out the window.'

[And with that crazy scientist performing God knows what experiments on you, you're probably not gonna get much planning done, since you'll be so exhausted.]

'We need a miracle to escape here alive. Even then, who knows the state I'll be in when that miracle comes.'

I heard Ddraig sigh and I did the same. We were up a creek without a paddle or a boat, and the waters seem to be VERY rough. Until Ddraig or I can come up with something, I'm just gonna have to grin and bare through these experiments Galilei has in store.

I just hope I won't be dead by the time he's through.

There ya go. A little shorter than I'd hoped but, it's something. Hope you all enjoyed.

And again, don't gimme shit unless it's genuinely helpful or unless your prepared to look like a failure when you discover I'm not gonna kill myself just because you told me to because I wrote a terrible and worthless story. Ya don't like it, don't read. Simple ain't it? Don't just come here to flame me just so you can get a a small sense of accomplishment.

So imma write one more chapter before the Kokabiel fight, not sure how I'm gonna be able to make it any longer than this, but I'll do what I can.
