Ryuko grunted. She was not happy about the situation she was in. After all, finding out she was related to Ragyo more than Satsuki would make anyone want to hurl. Speaking of Satsuki, she was well aware that Satsuki was her equal in power and yet Ragyo trounced her without a sweat. Ryuko wondered if her last words to Senketsu and the others were too harsh, but Ryuko could not risk loosing Senketsu the same way as Junketsu and hoped that the Kamui would find a new partner.

She blinked as some sort of strange device materialized on the street. Two creatures stepped out of that thing that she thought could be a teleporter. One was some sort of giant scaly fish with arms and legs. The other was simply a blue blob with an eye.

The creature known as the Missing Link looked around. "Uh, Link calling to Doctor Cockroach. Did that teleporter also act as a time machine?"

The blob identified as B.O.B. jiggled up and down. "Hey, let me talk to him!"

Link shooed Bob away from the phone. "Listen, Doc. Either Godzilla went all out or someone's controlling Japan's media...No, this has nothing to do with ani-WOAH!"

Link nearly dropped the phone as he ducked under a red blade. The wielder of that blade was a girl with black hair that has a red stripe, and she was only wearing a blanket. Despite the idea that she could be wearing nothing under that, Link still had the sense to scuttle back on his bum, passing through Bob. However, Ryuko tried to slice Bob open, but being only a blob, Bob giggled. "Hi, my name is Bob."

Link saw that the teleporter was operational again. Without delay, he quickly grabbed Bob and bolted through the portal.

Unfortunately, as Link found out after he and Bob returned to base, the red sword was stuck in Bob, and the girl still held onto that sword. It wasn't until the other soldiers in the base pointed their guns at her that the girl decided to let go of her weapon.

"What in tarnations is going on here?" General Monger stomped up to the girl, then he glared at Bob and Link. "Men! Did you just hijack a civilian back into our base?"

Ryuko looked around. Judging from the monitors and the metal walls, she figured she was in a base of sorts. Probably secret, seeing as there were monsters here. "Actually, I'm part alien."

To prove this, Ryuko swung her hand on the still-impaled blade. Ryuko's fallen hand continued to twitch before it was pulled back onto her wrist. "See? I'm not really human."

"Oh, you look human enough." Ryuko almost jumped back as a woman with white hair showed up. However, she realized that this woman looked nothing like Ragyo. "I'm Susan, a.k.a. Ginormica. Meteor granted me the ability to change size."

"Uh, Ryuko. Found out my...my mom implanted alien threads as a baby and she wants to take over the world with alien clothing." Ryuko blinked. "Wow, I'm not sure I even believe that part."

"Actually, it is entirely plausible." Ryuko looked down at a square-headed alien that looked more like a kid. "That red thread in her arm and that sword matches the species known as COVERS. Their reproduction cycle is usually to land on a planet and evolve a native species. Assuming that the humans are the COVERS' hosts, they will simply go dormant until the humans populate every corner of the world, which the COVERS will then convert into fuel, causing the Earth to blow up and launch the COVERS all under the universe. Of course, if the Earth blows up before I can finish my report, I will get a bad grade."

General Monger did not even waste time owing the COVERS anything. "Gadzooks! Those fashionable alien clothing must be brainwashing everyone else to ignore the location of their nest! Hell, we have to get rid of the COVERS here first!"

"Don't worry, I have already replaced your Life Fiber-infused clothes; the term Life Fiber is what makes up COVERS." The small alien then looks at Bob, who quickly hides his naked body with his hands. He shakes his head. "Oh, my name is Sqweeb, Miss Ryuko. I hope you do not judge all aliens based on your experience with the Life Fibers. However, as a non-human entity, you'll probably will have to remain at this base for an indefinite time!"

"What?"

"Let me handle this!" General Monger turned to Ryuko. "Since you are an alien-slash-monster-slash-human-infused-with-alien-slash-monster-powers, we have no choice but to detain you in this base unless you are needed. Fortunately, this situation in Japan means that we will have to create a forward base here, but you will be expected to live here once the invasion's over!"

"What? You can't...I had a life! You can't just lock me in here!" Ryuko growled at him. Link places his slimy hand on her shoulder.

"Don't feel bad. We have experience in kicking alien butt. Besides, the government is nice to provide us free cable, pizza, and all the experimental weapons we can shoot." And so Ryuko decided to join Link in blowing stuff up with laser guns.
