Ben Tennyson woke up. The first thing he did was pick out the pins in his wrists, feet, body...well, everywhere. Next, he noticed that he was in a padded room. "Okay, I don't know where I am, but I'm about to escape."

"No, don't." Ben looked up as a young woman entered the room. She had dark skin and grey hair, though she was barely taller than him. "I am Rei Honoumaru. I must ask, how did you turn into a COVERS?"

Ben quickly hid his hands behind his back. "I'm not going to tell you how I turned into that what was that alien's name again?"

"I see that you at least have knowledge, even if you do not know the history." Rei stood by the door. "The COVERS are an alien race as you have just mentioned. They would usually embed themselves onto a species that would evolved in intelligence and ingenuity, such as the humans of this planet. In exchange for this gift, the COVERS would undergo Cocoon Planet Genesis, where they would consume all humans at the peak of their existence and blow up the planet to spread their essence across the galaxies."

Oh, Ben knew an evil alien plot when he saw one. "I won't let you blow up the Earth!"

"You're too late. The Earth has been spared, the COVERS have been destroyed, and Lady Ragyo lost the will to live after her plan failed." Rei pointed out. Ben blushed. He must have been off-planet when that happened. Rei continued on without pause. "Without any more Life Fibers remaining on the planet and with Lady Ragyo's daughters removing me from my previous position, I had no more purpose. Well, not until a stray COVERS showed up. Sadly, by the time I have managed to subdue you, you have reverted to your human form. You are still alive since it is possible to revive Lady Ragyo's plan."

"So, you want me to give you the DNA of an alien race that wants to destroy the world?" Ben wondered. He thought hard, wondering if this was the right thing to do. "How about, no!"

Ben quickly tackled Rei and escaped down the hallway. However, Rei quickly recovered, throwing some more pins at him. Ben quickly brought his hand up, but one of the pins dug into the Omnimatrix. It sparked a bit. "Oh, that can't be good."

This had the effect of doing several things to his body, but the most obvious was that the device quickly injected alien DNA into his blood. Ben had not changed the setting, so he could fell himself turning thin and white as his head shrunk and he could see from his collar. He had become a COVERS. This was a good thing, he thought, since there was an open window up there and he slipped out like an octopus through a can.

Taking a look around, Ben could see a lot of characters, so he could either be in a Little Tokyo or he could be in THE Tokyo. He tried to fiddle with the Omnimatrix, but found he could not change back. "Great. I'll have to wait it out then. What else could go wrong?"

At Nudist Beach's headquarters, Aikuro gazed at the radar. He picked up the phone. "Inumuta? This is Nudist Beach's Aikuro. COVERS has been spotted."
