After graduation, Honnouji Academy disappeared. Soon afterward, Uzu decided he wanted to take a vacation on the other side of the world, and then Ryuko developmented some travel lust and would return at the end of summer. Of course, Mako went with Ryuko, and Satsuki received text messages from them every now and then.

Right now, Nonon was relaxing at Satsuki's house, surfing the channels as it were. Yes, she would like to listen to the classical music channel, but in this season, she could be lucky to catch the marching bands and half-time shows. Right now, there weren't much shows she was interested in. As she sipped her lemonade, all she saw on the channels was news, cartoons, drama, Honnouji Academy, more car-

Lemonade sprayed from her mouth as she went back a channel. There, in all its glory, was Honnouji Academy. Sure, the walls still needed repair, but there was no mistake that the entirety of the school was on TV. She did not even notice that the school was entirely surrounded by water as Satsuki came in.

"L-Lady Satsuki! Honnouji Academy is-"

"I know. I sold it." Satsuki already figured out what the school was being used for. "He wanted to buy the school, and after we removed any incriminating evidence that can link us, he already paid and moved the school. I do realize that the man is a game show host with a legendary sadistic streak, but if people want to enter such a dangerous show even after six seasons, I will not stop them.

And as the camera panned to the bus that parachuted down to the school, she could make out the unfortunate souls that wanted to kill themselves for the money. Sipping her tea, she noted one of them was her sister-

Tea sprayed out from her mouth.

Earlier...

"I don't know, Mako. I heard people get hospitalized in this show." Ryuko sighed as she sat next to her air-headed friend. The interns of this show told them to sit in the bus until they arrived at the game show's new location. She was surprised that Honnouji Academy was being used for the new setting, though she kept quiet about it. Mako, not so much.

"Ah, but it's a million dollars!" Mako shouted with glee. "Besides, I always wanted to be on a game show, and while saving the world and saving you was great, there weren't cameras, plus I don't think they would show that on TV anyways. Not that Lady Satsuki wanted people to know about that."

"Hey, Lady Satsuki has her reasons." The green-haired boy sitting in front of them turned around. "Ryuko? Mako? What are you doing here?"

"What are you doing here, Sanegeyama?" Ryuko countered. "Nevermind, I can guess. I'm only here to protect Mako."

"Are you sure you don't want to get the million?" Uzu shook his head. "Tell you what, since we already know each other, how about we three try to get on the same team?"

Ryuko shrugged "Sure, I guess."

Ryuko: Why bother making an alliance? He knows the school better than I do and...Oh, so that's how he's playing it. You're smarter than you look.

A buff man who looks more like a cook glared back from the bus's driver seat. "Settle down, children! We're about to enter summer school!"

"But, er Chef? Shouldn't we wait until the carrier touches down on the road?" One of the "students" asked. Chef grinned, and Ryuko did not like that.

"Where we're going, we don't need roads." Everyone had a second to glance at each other before most of them started screaming as the bus rolled out of the carrier. Yes, that included Mako, but only because everyone else was doing it.

"Screw this, I don't want to die!" One of the boys opened the window and was immediately sucked out into the sky. Even though Chef already activated the parachutes, the bus was still falling too fast...and it landed on the ground already for the sake of this story.

Chris McLean, the ever sadistic host, only smiled as the contestants exited the vehicles with shaky feet. "Good morning, students. Welcome to Survival School. It seems everyone here arrived safely."

"Uh, someone jumped out of the bus without a parachute." One girl pointed out.

"Yeah...Everyone currently here arrived safely." Chris corrected. "Anyway, for this competition, we are going to split you up into three groups. I already picked out the names, but not the groups yet. Fortunately for you, I already have a challenge to determine that."

Chris pointed at the tower that Ryuko knew so well. It was the same one that Satsuki stood on. "You see that tower up there? The first three people to reach the top of that tower can choose their teammates, in the order they arrive. And not including this challenge, the winners get to stay in a luxurious Two-Star dorm, the losers go down to the No-Star houses, and everyone in between just stay in a One-Star place."

Random Guy: A Two Star? Aren't places better when they're, I dunno, five stars?

Mako: Wow, they're using the school dorms? The One and Two stars are great compared to the No Star slums! I wonder if Chris is going to let me stay at my family's back alley clinic?

"Alright, when I say go, you head over for that tower. So get ready, get set, and go!" As everyone but one ran towards the top of the school, Chris chuckled. "Heh, little do they know that the stairs and elevator in the tower are locked. Hope they teach rock climbing in this school too."

The one girl that stayed behind, decided to fiddle around with the bus and the blocks of broken buildings.

Ryuko and Mako stayed together as they headed away from the school. Mako realized this. "Ryuko, shouldn't we be going up?"

"Yeah, but don't you remember back on No-Late Day? We only had half an hour left, so we took a One-Star cable car."

"Oh yeah, that was fun." Mako pulled at her pockets. "But I still didn't bring anything to pay the car."

"I don't think anyone is going to be manning the station to-" Ryuko bumped into someone. "Ouch! Watch where you're...You!"

"Um, hello, person I've never met." Maiko Ogure stammered.

"Hi, person who looks remarkably like Maiko!" Mako greeted back.

Ryuko growled at Maiko, who had decided to give up the charade of looking innocent. "What are you doing here, Ogure?"

"Oh, I'm just interning. Ever since I got expelled from school, I decided my trap-making skills should be put to use somewhere else. Fortunately, traps and Total Drama go together like hot passionate love. Why, I'm pretty sure if I keep this up, I'll be the host of..." Maiko yelped in surprise as Ryuko already started to fiddle around with the controls for the cable cars. "Hey! Didn't you mom tell you it's rude to walk away from a conversation?"

Ryuko simply gave her a glare before pulling the lever.

Maiko: Oh, Ryuko and I were best buds, until she did something that got me kicked out of school. You know what, Chris? I quit! From this point on, I'm going to be a contestant for the sake of keeping Ryuko from that one million dollars!"

Uzu grinned as he looked around him before approaching the elevator. Shame that Ryuko and Mako wanted to take a faster route to school, but it seems that everyone who already got here either tried to climb the tower or had busted down the door to the stairs. The elevator was truly the fastest way to the top of the tower, but only the Student Council knew the code for the elevator.

And fortunately for him, he was a former chairman of said council. It took the elevator mere seconds from accepting him to opening up at the roof. "Ah, it's good to be back."

"Dude, you've been here before?" Uzu almost jumped as he turned around and saw a boy. "I mean, sure the other contestants went back to their island, but it was more of an all-star thing. So, where's everyone suppose to meet?"

Uzu shook his head. He could just throw him off the building, but Chris was probably filming this now. "Actually, we're supposed to meet here."

"Seriously? How lucky is that?"

New Guy: In school, I was called Mr. Lucky. One time, I got lucky because a donkey kicked me in the face...and I found a dollar after that.

Uzu looked down from the tower, and shortly, a thud resonated through the tower. "You know, I think Ryuko is having fun traveling like that."

Then there was another explosion. Uzu quickly ran to the other side of the tower, where people would have noticed the big burning crater. Then he look up and saw the remains of a bus go round and round...and down towards them. Uzu grabbed Mr. Lucky and pulled him out of the way of the front of the smoldering bus. Seconds later, the busy doors opened up and a girl fell out. Otherwise, not a scratch was on her.

"Are you crazy?" Uzu had to ask. "You could have died!"

"I can't die! I have a destiny to fulfill!" The girl retorted. Uzu just wanted to slap her. She makes even less sense than Mako. But before he did, the loudspeakers flared to life as everyone else reached the top of the tower.

"Ah, that was entertaining...by local channels standards. The next challenge should be more dramatic." Chris said as he looked over everyone. He noted that one of his interns decided to become a contestant, but it would make things more interesting. "Alright, the teams will be led by Mr. Lucky with the Big Blue Guy, Uzu with the Golden Robot Bird, and then...Angelica with the Two-Mouthed Snakes. Alright, you guys will pick your remaining teammates in the order I have just given you."

Mr. Lucky went first, covering his eyes. "Eenie Meenie Minie...you. The Ogre girl."

"It's Ogure." Maiko sweetly said as she joined her leader.

Uzu did not even waste time. "Ryuko, you're up."

Ryuko shrugged as she stood next to him. "I hope Mako joins our team."

"Relax, people usually pick the popular and athletic people. Mako is..." Uzu grimaced as she stood up sleeping. "I doubt anyone would pick her that quickly."

Angelica looked over at the crowd. "I pick Mako."

"What!" Ryuko's jaw dropped.

Mako jerked awake. "My turn already?"

Mako head for Ryuko, though Chris pointed at Angelica. Mako blinked, then Ryuko shook her head. "She choose you. You have to go on her team."

"Oh. Don't worry, Ryuko, we'll see each other at the merge!" Mako joined her new leader and decided to talk with her. "Hello, my name is Mako Mankanshoku, and I was just talking to Ryuko. Isn't it nice, being chosen first by the third person? Usually, I get chosen last because I slack a lot, but it's just so exciting not being chosen last!"

Angelica smiled. "And that's why I picked you. You might call yourself a slacker, but I know deep inside, you are the most interesting girl in the world."

Mako: Yay! Ryuko was my first friend, and now I have another friend. It's so nice that she believes in me.

Angelica: I believe she can't even solve two plus two. Now, a competitor one one team plus a girl she won't harm on my team equal easy victory for me. Heh heh heh.

Once the teams were selected, Chris grinned at them. "Alright. Now that you chose your teams, your first official challenge will be to dive off this tower and land in the pool-"

"Cannonball!" Mr. Lucky jumped off the tower.

"...That is not located at the bottom of the tower but a bit further down." Chris ignored the thud. "Since it's not possible to jump that far, students will be using these parasols and balloons to get a little further. Are there any questions?"

Everyone raised their hands. "Good, then jump!"

((Ideal number: 15 characters including Uzu, Ryuko and Mako, plus Maiko equals 16. Divided into 3 teams with a merge at eight contestants left. And yes, No-Late Obstacle Course will be back in.))
