Sorry for the delay; scared by SOPA! Thank heaven we beat it. Hopefully the President will take a hint and NEVER TRY TO PASS IT! Enjoy.
*Meeting General Fangtom (sequel to Attempted Invasion)*
Lloyd paced back and forth across the floor in one of the main room of the Hypnobrai Tomb. It has been a couple of hours since Skales has left with his army, but he's still pretty worried. What if they lost? What if Skales…
"Lloyd, we're back." Lloyd turned and breathed a sigh of relief to see Skales slithering towards him…with a two-headed Fangpyre General?!
"General!" he cried, taking a fighting stance. "FREEZE!" Skales quickly slithered between the other General and Lloyd.
"No, Lloyd! It's alright; he's a friend." Lloyd lowered his sword with confusion.
"What?" he asked. "But…I thought you were enemies."
"We were at war," one head explained.
"But seeing that Skales is now leading them…" the other head added.
"Well, I don't see why we can't be comrades," the first head finished. "The name is Fangtom, by the way."
"But…who freed you?" asked Lloyd.
"The last guy you'd expect," the second head answered.
"Cobra," the first head finished. Lloyd couldn't believe his ears.
"He's alive?"
"He is," Skales answered. "He thought he can control the Fangpyre Tribe, but he was wrong. Don't worry; as long as we all stick together, he won't hurt you."
*Pinch*
Pythor was slithering down the hallway reading a magazine when Lloyd passed by…and pinched him on the arm.
"OW!" Pythor dropped his magazine and turned to him angrily. "Jeez, what was that for?"
"It's St. Patrick's Day," Lloyd answered. "You have to wear green. If not, you get pinched."
"Well, you could've told me that sooner; I could've worn my green jacket." He then slithered off, grumbling to himself as he rubbed his sore arm. Lloyd then left with a snicker.
*The One Gem*
Pythor laid on the couch, looking through a book on gemstones. He understood that Pam is into gemstones because humans believe they had special powers long ago, so he's thinking about brushing up on them. And possible find that one gem…to propose to her. Sure, he could go for a diamond, but that seems a bit too cliché.
Maybe if it were her birthstone instead…
"Pythor, whacha doin'?" The Anacondrai jumped with a yelp before hiding the book and looking up at Pam.
"Oh, uh…nothing, Pamela dear," he answered. "I was just…reading a book."
"On gemstones?" Pam asked, arching an eyebrow at him.
"Uh, your talk about gemstones having powers long ago got me thinking about a new book."
"Not with Deltora Quest, I hope. That's already written."
"Don't worry; it's a different one."
"Well, okay." Pam then left the room, and Pythor sighed with relief. It would be embarrassing to let Pam find out that he's also looking for a gemstone for the ring he wants for proposing to her.
