Thanks so much for all your reviews on the last chapter! I really appreciate them! As you may have known, yesterday was the fifth anniversary of Glee. While I'm not happy at all with where things are on the show right now and how they decided to handle things after Cory's death, I'm so glad that Glee exists because it's inspired me to do some of my best writing and led me to meet all of you. All of you make me feel so special! Enjoy this chapter and review if you want me to keep going!

Chapter 19: Lies

Finn sighed as he picked up his phone. He knew that this was going to be hard, but he also knew that he needed to tell his parents the truth about Lucy. He dialed Carole's number, his heart beating fast as he dialed. He knew his mom would be upset when she found out.

"Finn!" Carole said.

"Mom, I need to tell you something," Finn said.

"What is it, honey?" Carole asked. "I can tell by the sound of your voice that you're upset."

"Mom, this girl at work... she's been harassing me," Finn said.

"How so?" Carole asked, sounding concerned.

"She would touch me," Finn said. "She found ways to be alone with me and she'd touch me. And she would touch me. It was mostly my chest."

"Finn!" Carole gasped. "Oh my God."

"She's shown up at my apartment, too," Finn said. "I've been trying to avoid her. Today when I went into the men's room she followed me in, and then I left. She followed me to the apartment."

"Oh, Finn," Carole said.

"Rachel, Kurt, Blaine and Santana told her what she needed to hear, but I want a restraining order," Finn said.

"Of course you do," Carole said. "We should see if there's more we can do. Sweetheart, you can't go back there."

"I won't," Finn said. "After I call you, I have a resignation e-mail drafted up."

"Good," Carole said. "I'm so sorry, honey. You're in a new city and some psycho starts taking advantage of you..."

Finn just began blurting out everything that Lucy had done to his mom, telling her the full story. Then he heard a noise in the background. "Carole, what's going on?"

"It's Finn," Finn heard Carole tell Burt. "Some girl he works with is sexually harassing him..."

"What?!" Finn heard Burt shout. "Finn, what the hell is going on?" Burt said into the phone.

"It's basically what my mom told you," Finn said. "This girl I work with has been touching me. She's shown up at my apartment and in the men's room."

"What's her name?!" Burt said. "I'm coming to New York."

"Burt, don't," Finn said.

"Finn, that's the thing," Burt said. "You're young. You think that things like this are no big deal, but they are a big deal."

"I'm not saying it's no big deal," Finn said. He didn't want a lecture about how special he was and how he didn't deserve this. Lucy had caused him enough pain.

"I don't think you understand how serious what she did is, Finn," Burt said. "Your mother and I are coming to New York to talk to her and to the boss."

Uh oh. Finn had a feeling that wouldn't go well. "That's not necessary. I can handle this myself." He didn't know if he could handle it himself, but what would Lucy think of his parents getting involved?

"No Finn, it is necessary," Burt said. "You are my son. I may not have given birth to you, but I see you as my son, and I'm not going to let someone treat you like that."

"I have Kurt and Rachel and Blaine and Santana," Finn said. He managed to smile at the image of Kurt throwing the slushie on Lucy.

"You do, and they're great, but I think you need someone who's been through life to help you out," Burt said. "Your mom and I will try to get to New York tomorrow, okay?"

Finn sighed. "Okay." He hung up the phone and turned to Kurt. "Our parents are coming to New York."

"Oh gosh," Kurt said. "Dad's about to go all crazy on Lucy, like he did on Karofsky."

"Yeah, I have a feeling he is," Finn said. "Although, nothing our parents do can top you slushieing her."

"It always was one of my goals to throw one of those on one of our tormentors," Kurt said. "Seriously, are you okay?"

Finn shrugged. "I will be."

"You will be," Kurt said, hugging Finn. "I thought I'd never recover from Karofsky, but I did."

"And I'm sorry I told you you needed a restraining order," Finn said. "I did not need a restraining order against you. Now I know what the criteria for one of those is."

"It's okay," Kurt said as Rachel came out of the bedroom, looking sober.

Finn forced a smile and patted the other side of the couch for Rachel. "Hey."

Rachel snuggled up to Finn. "Finn, I feel awful. You're new here. I've been here for a year. I was supposed to protect you. Now look what happened."

"Rach, don't worry," Finn said as he softly kissed Rachel and wrapped an arm around her.

"Our parents are coming to New York," Kurt told Rachel.

"Good," Rachel said. "Lucy should get her license taken away."

"I want her to suffer," Finn said. "I want her to lose everything and have a miserable rest of her life." He didn't care how petty he sounded. Lucy had made him afraid to go to work and given him nightmares. He heard the apartment door open and flinched.

"Baby," Rachel said softly, noticing that Finn had flinched. It turned out that it was just Blaine coming back from downstairs.

"I got us some ice cream," Blaine said. "I think we could all use some."

"Yeah, so do I," Finn said.

"You're going to be okay, Finn," Kurt said. "And once Dad comes after Lucy, I don't think she'll want to go anywhere near you."

Rachel didn't want to go to rehearsal the next day. Not after what happened to Finn. She'd spent her whole life dreaming about the beginning of her time on Broadway. Granted, she pictured herself being the lead rather than the understudy, but it was here, and all she could think about was her boyfriend.

Burt and Carole would be arriving from Ohio today, so she knew Finn wouldn't be at the apartment alone, even when their roommates went to work. She couldn't stop worrying about Finn though. What if Lucy showed up? What if his boss didn't believe him and that got in the way of him finding another job?

When Rachel arrived at the theatre, the director, Rupert, and the producer, Sidney, were waiting for her. "Rachel, can we borrow you?" Rupert asked.

Now Rachel had a feeling she was going to get a lecture. "Sure." She followed them upstairs to the office, where Sidney closed the door and looked at Rachel. "Don't you have any idea how this business works? Running out of your first rehearsal?"

"I had an emergency," Rachel said. She didn't want to talk about Finn's private life with some people she'd just met.

"When you're on Broadway, your show needs to come first," Rupert said. "Your personal life does not exist when you walk through these doors."

"But - " Rachel began.

"You're the understudy, Rachel, and you want to be the star, we know it," Rupert said. "But the stars would not do something like you did. Just run out without telling anyone."

"I had some things at home I needed to deal with," Rachel said. "Like I said, it was an emergency."

"An emergency, huh?" Sidney asked. "Well, what would happen if for some reason Marissa had to leave? Who would we have to play Fanny?"

Rachel didn't know what to say. Clearly, there was no sympathy for the fact that her boyfriend had been going through hell. "I'm sorry. It won't happen again."

"It better not," Sidney said. "If this happens again, you're fired, and we'll make sure you never get another Broadway offer again."

Rachel didn't know what to say. The director and the producer began to leave the office, and Rachel followed them out, feeling even worse. It was only her second day and already she was in trouble.

Finn and Kurt stood at the airport, waiting for their parents. "I just hope our parents don't make me feel bad," Finn told Kurt.

"They won't," Kurt said. "Lucy should be afraid right now though. Very afraid."

Burt and Carole came off the plane and up to Finn and Kurt. "Boys!" Carole exclaimed, hugging them. She looked at Finn. "Oh, Finn..."

"All right, where's the law firm?" Burt asked Finn.

"The law firm?" Finn asked.

"You know what law firm I'm talking about, Finn," Burt said. "Let's go to the law firm."

"But you haven't even dropped off your luggage yet!" Kurt protested. Finn shot Kurt a grateful look.

"The luggage can wait," Carole said. "Burt's right. We need to get to the law firm and talk to the owner about Lucy."

"You guys didn't have to come here," Finn said.

"Yes, we did," Burt said.

Finn didn't feel up to arguing with his parents. "Well, you know we don't have a car here, so we can take the train."

"That's fine," Carole said. "I don't care how we get there, as long as we get there."

Finn could tell his parents were almost as upset as he was, and that had been part of the reason why he hadn't wanted to tell them. He and Kurt led their parents to the law firm. Since Finn hadn't turned in his ID yet, they could still use it to get into the building. When they arrived, Burt turned to the afternoon desk clerk. "Where's the owner of the firm?"

"He's in a meeting," the afternoon clerk said.

"Well, one of your the employees here has been sexually harassing my son," Burt said, eyeing Finn.

"We want to speak to the owner of the firm as soon as possible," Carole added.

The afternoon clerk looked confused. "Okay."

Finn sat down with his family, hoping that the supervisor would believe them. He had a feeling that the odds were against him. Lucy was thought of as somewhat of a prodigy, finishing college early and then going to law school and getting a job at a prestigious law firm.

"Speak of the devil," Kurt mumbled. Finn looked up and saw Lucy walking through the front of the office.

"Is that her?" Carole asked Finn.

Finn nodded. Burt got out of his seat right away and went over to Lucy, followed by Carole and Kurt. Finn didn't want to go anywhere near her.

"So, you're Lucy, huh?" Burt said.

"Yes I am," Lucy said.

"I know who you are," Burt said. "And I know what you've been doing to my son."

"What do you mean?" Lucy asked.

Finn was sure that this was what would happen. He was just worried about what Burt and his mom might say next. "We know that you've been touching him," Carole said. "In ways he didn't want to be touched and in places where you shouldn't touch him. We know that you showed up at his apartment."

"I was wondering why he ran out of work yesterday," Lucy said. "And I just thought he might want someone to walk to work with."

Finn clenched his fists. He wanted to just go up there and yell at Lucy, but at the same time, he didn't want to be anywhere near her.

"Oh, don't even play dumb with us," Kurt snapped. "My brother flinches whenever our apartment door opens and he doesn't like to be at the apartment alone. It's all because of you."

"Oh, you," Lucy sneered. "That thing you threw on me destroyed my designer clothes."

"You don't deserve designer clothes," Carole said. "Not after the hell you've been putting our son through. In fact, you deserve to have your license taken away."

"You should be in jail," Burt said. "Not unemployed, jail."

"You guys are taking things way out of hand," Lucy said. "Whatever Finn told you, he was exaggerating."

"I know my son," Carole said.

The front desk clerk looked at Finn. "Finn, when you're ready, the owner of the firm is ready to see you and your family."

Finn went up to his family. "The boss is ready for you guys."

"Good," Burt said, giving Lucy an angry look as he followed Finn to the office of the law firm owner, Michael Green.

"Hi," Finn said, as he went in. "Here's my key..."

"We're sorry to lose you so soon, Finn," Michael said. "You were a great addition to the team. You did mention in your resignation e-mail that you had some issues with one of the other team members?"

"Yes he did," Burt said. "I'm Finn's stepfather, Burt Hummel. Your attorney Lucy has been sexually harassing and assaulting Finn."

"What?" Michael asked. "Lucy?"

"Yes," Burt said. "She's been finding ways to be alone with him and touching him."

"I can't imagine Lucy doing such a thing," Michael said.

"Just because she's smart doesn't mean she's perfect," Kurt said. "She's shown up at our apartment twice."

"You're wondering why I'm quitting?" Finn asked. "I don't feel safe here."

"I'll page Lucy and have her come in here," Michael said. A few minutes later, Lucy came into the office. "Why am I here?"

"Don't think you really need to ask that," Finn snapped. "You know exactly why you're here."

"You told that lie to him, too?" Lucy asked.

"Finn's not lying," Kurt said. "I was sexually abused, too. I know what the signs are."

"He is lying!" Lucy said. "He's just jealous that I'm so successful at my age and he has to work to pay his college tuition."

"You play the part of the successful, brillaint young lawyer, but I know and you know and everyone at my apartment knows what you really are," Finn snapped.

Carole turned to Michael. "I'd think a prestigious law firm in New York would be able to see through someone like her."

"Lucy seems to have such potential," Michael said.

"Potential to cause all sorts of trauma to our son," Burt said. "Look, if you're not going to be any help, thank you for your time. We'll see what the police can do for us." He got up and left the room, followed by Carole, Kurt and Finn.

"The police?" Finn asked Burt as they left.

"Yes, the police," Burt said.

"Finn, the owner of that law firm clearly knows nothing," Carole said. "But we need to make sure that she gets what she deserves and doesn't go anywhere near you ever again."

But what if they couldn't find any proof? What if the police didn't believe them either?

Chapter 20 preview: To take Finn's mind off everything, Rachel decides to give Finn a nice night out. Meanwhile, the Hudson-Hummel family and the loft residents find something to use against Lucy and get help from an unexpected source.
