*Finally Happening (sequel to An Important Decision) *

Cole looked down at the round belly he now has. He could hardly believe this is all happening finally. He and Skales are going to have a baby. Makes one wonder what the baby will look like…even the fathers.

"How are you feeling?" Skales asked, slithering over to him and gently stroking his belly with his tail.

"Never better," Cole answered, resting his head against his scaly throat. "That moment we did this was truly something."

"Yes," Skales purred, pulling him into a gentle hug. "I couldn't be any happier either."

*Knight in Scaly Armor (sequel to The Perfect Rock)*

Cole sobbed loudly into his pillow. The other ninja have found out that he's engaged to Skalidor, and they refused to allow it for three reasons: 1) He's the enemy; 2) He's a snake; and 3) He's a guy! So they locked him up in his room and barred his windows to keep him from escaping and going back to Skalidor.

"Cole, are you okay in there?" Jay asked, knocking on the door.

"Go away!"

"Look, I know you probably hate us for making a prisoner out of ya, but this is for your own good. I mean, how would your dad react if he found out that you're trying to marry a snake that's also a guy?"

"I said GO AWAY!" Cole yelled, grabbing a lamp and throwing it at the door. When it smashed against the door into pieces, he heard the Blue Ninja cry out before leaving quickly. Satisfied but not fully satisfied, Cole returned to crying into his pillow.

I can't believe they found out about us, he thought in between sobs. Skali…I need you… Suddenly, there was a rumbling at the floor, and he turned to it just in time to see a spot in it collapse into a hole underneath it. And out of it slithered Skalidor and a couple of his Constrictai.

"Skali!" Cole cried, running up to the General and hugging him. "I didn't think you'd come her this fast."

"I've sent one of my best spies to keep an eye on you in case anything happens," he explained. "When he found out the others locked you up and told me, I had to come and get you. I can't believe they won't let us be together just because I'm the snake and the enemy."

"Actually, it's mostly because you're a dude like me," Cole replied sheepishly. His golden eyes went wide indignantly.

"Are you kidding me?! Just because they're homophobic? They are so not invited to the wedding."

"I agree; they'll only screw it up with a ton of objections!"

"I'm telling ya; I heard something!" they heard Kai cry out from outside the room.

"It must have come from Cole's room," Zane then said.

"We have to leave now," Skalidor said to Cole before turning to his two Constrictai. "Remember to block up the hole behind us so the ninja won't follow."

"Yessir!" The General then took his fiancé's hand, and the two of them leapt into the hole together. The lower-ranked Serpentine then leapt in after them and used their digging skills to fill up the hole really good before the ninja had the chance to unlock the door.

*Fussing Over a Dress (prequel to Firstborn Child)*

"I just don't know if that sort of material would work," Skales stated to Acidicus.

"Why not?" the Venomari asked. "Silk won't shrink in the wash like cotton can."

"I don't think we're going…to be even washing…a wedding dress," Fangtom stated. "Besides…I've always thought of her…as more of the satin kind."

"It's just so hard to decide," Skalidor stated. "They both feel so nice…" Pam groaned with annoyance before turning to the Generals before her.

"Guys, will you quit fussing over my dress already? It's supposed to be my job." They looked up at her from the wedding dress catalog they were going through before giving her sheepish looks.

"Sorry, Pam," Skales stated. "We're just trying to help you pick out your dress like Pythor asked us to do."

"I know," she replied before giving it a bit of thought. "Well, why don't we try a dress that has both satin and silk and see how it looks?" The four Serpentine nodded with agreeing murmurs before Pam went over to the woman in charge of the dresses.

"Hey, guys," Skalidor then asked, "why do you think it's bad luck for the groom to see his bride in her wedding dress before the ceremony anyway?"

"I think it has something to do with ruining the surprise of how beautiful he'll find her in it," Acidicus answered with a shrug.
