Eve woke up with a start. She didn't understand why she was dreaming intimately about Eric when she didn't have his blood in her system. Sure, they were having sex in the real world, but that didn't mean he could invade her dreams as well. And with a guest star appearance, no less.

It was dark outside when she realized she slept the entire day beside Eric at the mansion. Godric would be returning in a few hours. Once again the mansion will be full with vampires. There wasn't going to be any more solitude with her long blonde hair vampire.

She gently felt fingers lightly brushing her bare arm as she laid on her side, "What are you thinking about?" he whispered in her ear from behind her.

"Who says I'm thinking about anything?"

He took the hand he was stroking her arm with and placed it under her chin to cause her to look at him, "The look on your face says it all," he said before leaning down to capture her lips. He pushed her on to her back with the only thing between them was a very thin sheet. "I could just rip this sheet away and have my way with you once again," he said in a sexy voice in her ear that caused her to buck against him, "There's really nothing to stop me from taking what is mine."

"Eric," she laughed, "Godric is coming home tonight."

"So?"

He tried kissing her again but she moved her head, "Maybe you're used to an audience, but I'm not. I like to keep my twosomes…twosomes."

"Ah," he laughed, "Has someone been having threesome dreams?"

As hard as she could, she tried to push him off, "Shut up! It's not my fault. I don't know how Godric will react to us being together. He does have a claim on me. Nonsexual in every way, but some vampires don't like sharing."

"If you're worried about Godric finding out," Eric said, "He already knows. Through you're connection you share with him; he already knows you're extremely happy. And he knows what kind of happiness you been getting." He leaned down capturing her stunned lips.

She choked, "He already knows!"

Eric slipped a hand between them, causing her to lose her breath, "Yes, love, now let me fuck you."

Getting everything ready before Godric, Isabel and Stan returned to the mansion was not an easy task for Eve. Especially considering when her vampire lover wouldn't leave her alone for two minutes. Wearing a dress that night, really wasn't helping anything either.

After throwing an empty threat of hurting him if he didn't keep his hands to himself, it finally worked. She tried to cover up their two-day love affair with some success but you can't hide everything.

After receiving a text from Isabel, Eve debated with herself how this night would turn out. Bloody blood bath; death on all sides or one big family reunion; a JerryVamp Springer special. (One of the most shocking out of the closet vampire celebrities of all. No one saw that coming.)

It was a toss-up.

Stan entered first, two seconds of looking at the pair of them and he could smell the sex on them, "Enjoy ourselves, did we?"

"Why don't you go find a hopeless girl to have your way with," Eric suggested.

"That's what she's paid for," Stan replied, "So I don't have to go out. She just supplies them."

Eve rolled her eyes, "The girls are off until tomorrow."

"Care to donate?" Stan asked, extending his fangs before Eric growled at him, "Fine. I'll go out hunting."

"You will do no such thing," Godric said, entering the mansion with Isabel beside him, "You had plenty to drink on the plane."

With a bored sigh, "Yes, Sheriff," he said before disappearing elsewhere in the mansion.

"Eric, I'd like to speak with you," Godric said before disappearing as well.

With a quick glance at Eve, the blonde vampire disappeared. She was left with an overwhelming feeling as she looked at Isabel, "I think I screwed up," she said.

The vampire looked at her sadly, "Let us go for a walk." Eve followed Isabel outside, "What makes you think that?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Eve asked sarcastically, "I screwed the boss's son…a lot."

"Was it not pleasurable?" Isabel asked.

Eve gave her vampire friend a look, "Pleasure has nothing to do with it…Well it has a lot to do with it. I don't know what this means. I disliked Eric the moment I met him."

"He grew on you."

"In certain parts of me, yes," Eve blushed, "I think he has shown me apart of himself that no one has seen before, and he was beautiful in every way."

"Then what's the problem? Humans and vampires being romantically involved is beautiful and passionate," Isabel said.

"I know it is. I've experienced it first hand…Its Godric. I belong to him. Eric and I being together, doesn't that break a vampire law," she said before turning away from Isabel with a big sigh, "I've just spent the last two days with a man who I don't know if I can live without."

"You can have both in your life. One sexually and one spiritually. Nothing has to change."

"How can you be so sure?" Eve asked.

"Do you love him?"

"I…" Eve started but was interrupted.

"They're ready to speak with you," Isabel said before guiding her back toward the mansion.

"Vampires are their freakishly good hearing."

Once inside, Isabel left Eve to continue her way towards Godric's office. She opened and closed the door behind her as she turned around to face the room. Godric was sitting in one of the chairs in front of his desk and Eric was sitting on the corner of the desk. "Come child," Godric said as he gestured toward the open chair opposite him.

Slowly as possible, she made her way toward the chair, sat down and quickly glanced at Eric.

"Do you want to be with Eric?" Godric asked, gaining her attention.

She stared at him, a little taken aback, "You're not mad?"

"How can I be? Eric is very taken with you. He might not admit it but I can see it," Godric said, "And I can see it's the same with you." Eve turned to look at Eric and he actually smiled at her, "Do you want to be with him?" Godric asked again.

"Yes," she whispered.

"Then I will release you," Godric announced.

She turned to him, "What?!"

"I will release you and then you will be his," he said.

"But what if I don't want that," she said.

No body said anything. They both stared at her.

"It's not possible for you to be truly with Eric if you belong to me," Godric said.

"Don't get me wrong," she said, looking at Eric, "I want to be with you, but I don't want to lose him."

"You won't lose me, you'll just lose our bond," Godric explained.

Eve looked at Godric, "I love you too much to let the bond break."

"You love him?" Eric asked with an empty tone.

"Isabel said I could have both."

"You love him?" Eric repeated.

"Of course I love Godric, but not in love with him. Its like you're bond with him," she tried to explained.

Eric got in her face, "Don't you dare compare yourself to me and Godric. It's not the same," he stood up and walked toward the door, "I have to go back. I've stayed here too long."

"Eric, please!" Eve stood to follow him, "I'm not explaining it right…"

The blonde vampire turned around at the now open door, "You said enough," he said before disappearing.

Eve tried to take another step forward to go after him but she collapsed because she became disoriented from the situation. Godric was there to catch her before she hit the floor.

"Eve, did you take your medicine?" he asked, concern evident in his voice. He carefully placed his hand on either side of her face, forcing her to look at him.

"I…I don't remember," she whispered.

Isabel appeared with Eve's bag and handed it to Godric. Since her last incident, he learned how to administer the medicine if there was any need. On the safe side, he administered a dose into her side as Isabel held her up.

The three of them sat on the floor until Eve spoke up in a horse voice, "He's gone."

"It's my fault," Godric said, sadly.

"How could you have known Eric would come into her life?" Isabel asked, "It's no one's fault."

"I let him go," Eve whispered, "I'm sorry," she cried.

"No," Godric said, "I'm sorry. A human and vampire bond is almost like a vampire and their prodigy bond; it's hard to break. I never should have put you through this."

"Godric, I'm in love with him," she whispered with tears in her eyes.

Godric held her to him, "I know."

"I think the only reason he stayed this long was for her," Isabel said to Godric.

"Leave us," Godric said.

Isabel left the room but not before looking back at them as she closed the door.

After everything that happened, I still loved Eric. Even when he hated me, I loved him for the both of us. Even today, I'm still in love with him. There will always be an Eric and I.

But in that moment on the floor with Godric holding me together, I didn't feel that way. My heart was broken, and I was the one responsible for it.

In the time that followed, I made myself busy by throwing myself completely into working for Godric. I learned so much by working closely with Godric. He taught me everything about the vampire world. It came to the point in the next six month that followed, I became Godric's second in command. Yes, I was human and Stan didn't let me forget it. Stan was his second in vampire command; I was second in human command.

Needless to say, it was unheard of. And other vampires let me know when I accompanied Godric with some of his vampire dealings. I wasn't completely in, but I was in far enough to see the through the cracks.

Of course there were some vampire dealings I wasn't allowed to know about. For example, the Vampire Authority. I've heard Godric and Isabel speak of it, but that's all I know; just the name of the secret organization. The American Vampire League and Nan Flanagan I know so much about.

Don't let anyone tell you different, vampire politics is dangerous. No matter what side you are on, you still have enemies from the opposite side. I wanted to quit the first time a vampire tried to suck me dry when I was walking home alone one night. I was lucky Stan was in the area feeding when he heard my screams. Needless to say, Godric put vampire detail on me and my family. He also made sure there would be someone watching us during the day.

My relationship with Godric didn't change. It might have fluctuated a bit after Eric left. I needed someone and Godric was there, but nothing came of it. He didn't push the situation to where our relationship would become awkward. If anything our friendship grew to new heights. I trusted him and he trusted me.

Once in a while, I would intercept phone calls from Eric wanting to speak with Godric. Most times we didn't carry on a conversation until one time he asked me how my brother was doing. I think it was his way of letting me know that he still cared.

On my twenty-sixth birthday, Eric sent me a sapphire stone necklace. My guess, Isabel told him when my birthday was. It was extremely beautiful and the most elegant thing in my possession. Even though I loved and treasured it, I would have loved even more Eric jumping out of a gift box naked. Sigh. That would have been quit the sight and a good time afterward.

It would be awhile before I would lay eyes on Eric again. Being apart really wasn't an option. Crisis would bring us back together.

No matter how hard I wished or how hard I begged to whatever God is out there, the following events are extremely still heartbreaking as if they happened yesterday. No matter how much time has passed since that fateful day, it will still haunt me until my final days.
