Hey everyone! Thanks for the support on the last chapter. Since Glee never had an Easter episode, it was fun for me to write this chapter, since I've always loved Easter. And as with the other weddings, a photo of the girls' dress for the Klaine wedding is on the Tumblr (finchelseason5*dot*tumblr*dot*com) for this story :) Enjoy and review if I should keep going!
Chapter 49: Easter
"At least I can see Rachel in this dress!" Finn said as he sat in the bridal shop. Today, the female members of Kurt and Blaine's wedding party who lived in New York were having their final fitting for Kurt and Blaine's wedding. Since there was no rule against seeing the wedding party members in dresses before the wedding, Kurt had agreed that Finn could come along. Finn told Kurt that he would need the best man's approval anyway.
"Yeah, hopefully this can at least make up for not getting to see her in the wedding dress," Blaine told Finn.
"I have been looking at the dresses in the shop and trying to guess which one's hers," Finn admitted.
"Good luck," Sam said. "There's so many of them, I can't keep them all straight."
"Finn, I can't see Blaine in his tux, either," Kurt said.
"What's the difference between these tuxes and any other tux?" Finn asked.
"Good thing both our tuxes are with our parents," Kurt said.
Rachel, Tina, Santana and Dani all came out in their wedding party dresses dresses. The dress was pale purple and sleeveless and had a bit of a wrap skirt that fell a little above the girls' knees. Finn thought it looked really nice. "You look beautiful, Rach," Finn said.
"Thank you," Rachel said. "Kurt, this is the perfect dress!"
"Yeah, it's so pretty!" Tina added. "I can't believe that both of you guys are getting married."
"Less than a month apart, nonetheless," Santana said.
"Have you gotten in touch with the girls who'll be coming into New York for the wedding?" Kurt asked Blaine.
"Yeah," Kurt said. "Everyone has theirs."
"Have you guys talked to the glee club about what songs you want them to perform?" Finn asked.
"We're still figuring that out," Blaine said. "What about you two?"
"We're figuring that out too," Finn said. "I'm just glad they're willing to travel here for both weddings."
"I was in glee club with most of them, and you led most of them for a year," Blaine pointed out.
"That's true," Finn said. "Have you guys considered inviting the Warblers, too?"
"We invited them," Blaine said. "Except Sebastian and Hunter. Now that Nick and Jeff are in New York, we see them more, and we sometimes skype with the other Warblers when we go over to their apartment."
"Oh, and Finn, we are tasting cakes for our wedding soon, so if you want to come along..." Kurt began.
Finn laughed. "What do you mean, if? Of course I do!"

"I can't wait to see the bunny!" Beth said as she, Finn and Rachel headed to the line to meet the Easter Bunny at the mall. Shelby was out with John, so Finn and Rachel offered to watch Beth for the evening. Rachel had read that at one of the nearby malls, the Easter Bunny would be there for photos, so she and Finn had asked Beth if she wanted to go meet the bunny. Beth had loved that idea. After talking with Shelby, Finn and Rachel had also invited two other people to spend time with them today. As they arrived at the mall, Rachel heard a familiar voice. "Finn! Rachel! Beth!"
The two young adults and the little girl turned to see Puck and Quinn walking over to them. "Hi Quinn! Hi Puck!" Beth exclaimed, giving her birth parents hugs.
"Hey Beth!" Puck said. "Quinn and I are going to hang out with you guys today, how's that sound?"
"Great!" Beth said. "Rachel and Finn are taking me to meet the Easter bunny!"
"They are?" Quinn asked as she gave Rachel a hug. "I bet that's going to be fun."
"Yeah!" Beth exclaimed.
"Thanks for inviting us," Quinn whispered to Rachel.
"It's no problem," Rachel whispered back.
"You and Finn are really good with her," Quinn said.
"Well, so are you two," Rachel pointed out. "Didn't you see how excited she was to see you guys?"
Quinn smiled. "Yeah, I did."
"You know Finn's brother?" Beth asked Quinn and Puck.
"Kurt?" Puck said. "Of course we do!"
"He's getting married, like Finn and Rachel!" Beth said. "And I'm gonna be the flower girl then, too!"
"You are?" Quinn asked. "That's so exciting!" A few days ago, Blaine and Kurt had asked Beth if she'd want to be their flower girl. Beth was so excited and said yes.
"Are you two getting married?" Beth asked Puck and Quinn.
"Beth, that's probably not something you should ask," Finn said.
"Hey, it's fine," Puck said before looking at Beth. "We don't have any plans right now, but I've definitely thought about it."
"You should!" Beth said.
"I wouldn't be opposed to that," Rachel giggled.
"Oh really?" Quinn asked.
"I did say you guys were meant to be, didn't I?" Rachel asked.
"Yeah, you did," Quinn said.
The group reached the front of the line as the mall worker motioned for Beth. "The Easter Bunny's ready to see you!"
"Yay!" Beth cheered as she ran up to the bunny's lap. "Hi. I'm Beth!"
"I knew that," the Easter Bunny said. "What candy would you like me to bring you?"
"Jelly beans!" Beth declared. "And peeps!"
"That sounds good," the Easter Bunny told Beth. "Would you like any toys?"
Beth got excited. "Yes! Stuffed animals?"
"I'll see what I can do," Easter Bunny said. He handed Beth a chocolate bar. "Thank you for visiting me today."
"Yay!" Beth said as she went to join Finn, Rachel, Quinn and Puck.
"Was the Easter Bunny nice?" Rachel asked.
"Oh, yes!" Beth said. "I love Easter."
"It is fun," Rachel agreed. "Want to go get some ice cream?"
"Yes!" Beth said.

When Shelby got home, Beth had already gone to bed, and the four young adults were watching TV in the living room. "Thanks so much for taking care of her this afternoon," Shelby said.
"Oh, you know we always love to come," Puck said.
"I know you do," Shelby said. "So, what are you two doing for Easter next weekend?"
"We're not really sure," Quinn admitted. "Probably just going out to lunch or something."
"Do you guys want to come to our apartment?" Rachel asked. "Since it's a short weekend and none of us are on spring break then, all the New Yorkers are coming over for brunch, and Shelby and Beth are coming too."
"I'd love that," Quinn said. "Thanks, Rachel."

When Finn and Rachel returned home for the night, Finn's phone was ringing. He looked at the phone and saw that it was Mr. Schue, then picked up the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey Finn," Mr. Schue said.
"Hey Will," Finn said, knowing that his former teacher preferred it when he called him Will rather than Mr. Schue.
"How are you and Rachel doing?" Mr. Schue asked. "Everything okay in New York?"
"Yeah, things are fine," Finn said. "We were watching Beth today with Quinn and Puck, and we also recently had final dress fittings for Kurt and Blaine's wedding."
"We're all very excited for your wedding, and for Blaine and Kurt's," Mr. Schue said. "So, I know at some point you or one of the others will call to ask about my visit to the school in LA..."
"Yeah," Finn admitted.
"Well, Finn, I'm going to be honest with you," Mr. Schue said. "It's an excellent school. Sue Sylvester wouldn't last a day there. They're so supportive of the arts, and they work the kids really hard. They pay much better than McKinley, and the environment is a much more accepting, learning-friendly environment. I think this is where I belong."
Finn didn't know what to say to that. "The glee club means so much to so many people, Mr. Schue. It changed my life. It changed the lives of almost all the kids who were ever in it. When I look at where I was before I joined and then where I am now, it's incredible."
"I know Finn," Mr. Schue said. "I'm so proud of you and the man you've become. I'm proud of all of you."
"Rachel's show opens this month," Finn said. "Even if she never gets to peform, she made it as an understudy. She always says it's because of Glee that she got this far."
"I just feel like I've done all that I can do at McKinley," Mr. Schue admitted. "This school in LA might be where I need to be now. I know you said that money isn't the most important thing, but Emma and I have a child now, and we're hoping to have more children."
Finn sighed. "So you really are going to leave."
"That is what I'm leaning toward," Mr. Schue said. "Don't tell anyone, please. I know that if you tell Rachel, she'll tell Kylie. And I know you're close with several current members of New Directions and some of the other New Yorkers are as well. I just want the glee club to focus on Nationals and the weddings right now. I want to get to go out with a bang."
"Yeah, but what's going to happen to the glee club next year?" Finn asked.
"I don't know," Mr. Schue said. "Even though I think this school in LA might be a better place, it does make me sad to be leaving New Directions. The video you guys made combining three versions of you alumni singing Don't Stop Believing was amazing, and then the current members made a video of them singing it - it was just so touching. I don't want to leave them, but I'll make sure they find someone great to take over the club."
Finn sighed. Would someone great be willing to take over the club? Would ANYONE be willing to take over the club? He really cared about it and about the current members. His future sister-in-law was in that club, and he'd grown close to Ryder, Jake, Marley and Kitty during their sophomore year and wanted them to have a glee club to finish up high school with. "Well, you still have time."
"Aren't you also applying to direct a glee club in New York?" Mr. Schue asked.
"Yeah," Finn said. "It would be next school year."
"Well, you'd be perfect for it," Mr. Schue said. "I'm working on my reference letter."
"Thanks," Finn said.
"Finn, please," Mr. Schue said. "I told the current glee club that I'm still deciding what I'm going to do next year. Please don't tell the other alumni that I'm leaning toward leaving. We need to focus on Nationals right now."
"Okay," Finn said. "You have a good night."
"You too," Mr. Schue said, hanging up the phone and leaving Finn to think. Having to keep a secret from his fiancee, his brother and some of his closest friends was like trying not to look at an elephant in the kitchen.
Rachel came back into the bedroom from her shower. "Hey baby."
"Hey," Finn said, patting a spot next to him on the bed.
Rachel lay down on the bed and snuggled up to Finn. "How are you doing tonight?"
Finn giggled. "Rach, we were together all day."
"Oh, I know," Rachel said. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay while I was in the shower."
"Well, I'm great, because I'm in my apartment with my amazing girl who I'm going to marry," Finn said.
Rachel smiled and leaned in, kissing Finn passionately. "I love you."
"I love you too," Finn said.
Rachel picked up one of the wedding invitations off the nightstand and showed it to Finn. "It's really happening this time."
"Even though I can't see your dress," Finn said.
"Finn!" Rachel exclaimed. "It's bad luck, we've told you that before."
"I know," Finn pouted. "So, want to go at it tonight?"
Rachel put down the invitation and pulled the covers over herself and Finn, pulling down his boxers as soon as they were under the covers. As she pulled off his nightshirt, he pushed her nightgown up. They moved into each other, and Finn was reminded once again of how lucky he was to have her. In a few years, maybe, just maybe, they'd be doing this in hopes of adding on to their family.

"This is so much fun!" Tina exclaimed. It was the day before Easter, and Beth had wanted to color eggs with Rachel. When Rachel told the other glee alumni in New York that Beth had wanted to do it, they wanted to join in, so it became an affair for the extended glee family.
"Yeah, I haven't done this since I was a kid," Santana said.
"Look at this one!" Beth said as she took an egg out of the dye. "It's pink!"
"Your sister said pink is your favorite color," Blaine said.
"It is!" Beth confirmed.
"What do you think of purple?" Blaine asked. "Because Kurt and I were hoping you could wear a purple dress to be a flower girl in our wedding."
"I love purple too!" Beth said as the doorbell rang. Finn went to answer it and saw Puck and Quinn. "Hey, you guys are early!"
"Well, we wanted to spend some extra time with all of you this holiday weekend," Puck said.
"Come on in," Finn said as he led Quinn and Puck into the apartment. Beth smiled when she saw her birth parents. "Hi Puck! Hi Quinn!"
"Hi Beth!" Quinn said. "Looks like you're having fun coloring eggs."
"Yeah!" Beth said.
"I love coloring eggs," Quinn said. "Can I join you?"
"Yeah!" Beth said again. "You too, Puck!" As the other alumni watched Quinn and Puck interact with their daughter, Santana leaned over to Rachel. "Do you think that Shelby will tell her soon?"
"I don't know," Rachel whispered back. "But I am glad they're as close as they are."

"So, that's the dress the girls are going to wear in our wedding, huh?" Finn asked. It was Easter morning, and Rachel had changed into the dress that was the same as the one her bridesmaids would wear at the wedding. She liked the dress so much, she decided to get one for herself.
"Yeah, it is," Rachel said. "You excited to have everyone over today?"
"Of course," Finn said.
"Thanks again for helping me hide the eggs last night," Rachel said. "Beth will be so excited."
"Of course I did," Finn said. "Just think - we spent Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter together this year."
"I know," Rachel said. She reached under their bed and handed Finn a basket filled with candy. "Happy Easter."
Finn looked at the basket. "Wow, thank you so much!" He gave Rachel a kiss before he spoke again. "I guess we think alike." He reached under the bed and gave Rachel a basket of her own, this one with flowers and candy.
"Thanks babe!" Rachel said, kissing her fiancee. "Let's go start getting brunch ready."
When Finn and Rachel got to the living room, they saw that Kurt, Blaine and Santana were already there. "So, did you two give each other baskets, too?" Blaine asked.
"Of course," Rachel said. "You guys did too?"
"Of course we did!" Kurt said. "Santana actually got a little something."
"What did you get?" Rachel asked Santana.
Santana held up some flowers in the shape of a rabbit. "These were delivered to our door."
"Dani's pretty creative," Rachel said.
"They aren't from Dani," Santana said. "It's from Brittany."
"Brittany?" Kurt asked.
"This is the type of thing Brittany would do," Santana said. "I know it was her."
"So she's still into you..." Blaine began. Before he had a chance to finish, the doorbell rang. Finn went to the door and let Shelby, Beth, Puck and Quinn in.
"Hey Beth, we hid the eggs if you want to go looking for them!" Finn said.
"Yay!" Beth exclaimed, running around the living room to look for the eggs.
"Thanks for having us over," Shelby said.
"Well, family do spend holidays together," Rachel said, coming over and standing next to Finn. The doorbell rang again, and Rachel and Finn opened the door to let Tina, Artie and Sam in.
"Rachel's wearing the dress the girls will wear for the wedding!" Sam told Finn.
"I know she is," Finn said.
"Hey, I liked it so much I just had to get one for myself," Rachel admitted.
"Well, it's the closest I'll get to seeing her in a dress for the wedding before the actual wedding," Finn admitted.
"Now that everyone's here, are you guys ready for brunch?" Kurt asked.
"Of course!" Finn exclaimed. "I'm hungry."
"You're always hungry," Rachel giggled.
"Yeah, but you love it," Finn shot back.
"That I do," Rachel said.
