A/N: HELLO PEOPLEZ! Hollyleaf here. I decided to first update this one with the amount of views its gotten over the past months or so. I couldn't update due to my laptop going missing for a while then coming back and disappearing before reappearing so um yeah and I really didn't want to rewrite whatever I had but oh wells.

Also with high school and being in all honors classes is tough just saying.

Anyways, I am going to do the Eden piece before we jump ahead to several days later which will basically be after the FMA original series and the movie. Ed has a strong endurance and since it is his memories, it's easier for him to stay in longer. If you haven't watch Fullmetal Alchemist and the movie, I highly recommend it because it has spoiler alerts for that and it's just an amazing movie.

Ps. If my writing is better than my English Honors Class hasn't been for naught.

Anyways Let GO ON!

Chapter 4: Apple

"In a few short months my life changed forever. I know my easiest days are behind me, but I don't want them back – not now. My name is Desmond Miles, and I am an Assassin. I am an Assassin."

―Desmond

New York City, New York

"You sure this is normal?" Ed asked glancing down the building which was waaaaaay to high off the ground. Amestris didn't even have buildings to this height of magnitude.

"Yep pretty much. A leap of faith," Desmond said and with that said, he jumped off the building.

"You guys are crazy for just leaping off buildings," Ed said following.

They free fell and pulled a cord pulling hard as parachutes popped out of the backpacks.

"How does this thing work again?" Ed asked aloud.

"Just speak into it," Rachel said.

"Okay. I'm just not used to technology this advance," Ed smiled sheepishly. "Where's the building?" Ed asked into the Bluetooth which by the way still confusing to him. It had something to do with satellites and something called GPS. Technology sucks at times.

"It's should be to your left," Rachel said.

"Wait 'till you see the pieces of Eden," Desmond said.

"I've seen crazy shit before I'm sure I can handle it," Ed said recalling past memories like how Envy the Homunculus was his half-brother. Desmond was about to ask when Rachel's voice came through interrupting any questions.

"Landing in 20 seconds."

Ed and Desmond landed safely and unhook the parachutes off.

"Come on," Desmond said leading the way.

"Remind me why are we here?" Ed said.

"Because of the piece of Eden," Desmond said.

"Piece of Eden? I thought-"

"There are different pieces of Eden. Many of which is the apple."

"Okay. So what is this piece of Eden?" Ed asked.

"Not too sure," Desmond admitted.

"Great," Ed rolled his eyes at Desmond. Desmond ignored him as he opened a door.

They walked in and Desmond couldn't help but think that Ed was so silent despite his metal limbs.

"How can you be so quiet?" Desmond couldn't help but ask.

"I'm just that good," Ed smirked not revealing his secret.

They walked down a set of stairs before arriving at a pair of double doors made of iron.

"Head through the doors and there try not to get detected," Rebecca said.

"Fine."

They opened the doors with their hoods up.

The place was revealed to be a large museum. The pair walked with the crowd past several wagons selling souvenirs.

"Wait. Desmond those guards there will recognize you," Rebecca said. Desmond dove behind the wagon with barely a glance to the guard - who was obviously a Templar - standing nearby.

"Okay, Ed-" Desmond turn to find Ed already gone and was casually walking up to the guard. Desmond couldn't quite hear what Ed was saying but Ed pointed in a direction and the guard ran off.

Desmond walked over to Ed.

"What did you tell the guard?" Desmond asked as they walked.

"Well supposedly there was this guy in a white hood that seemed very shady. Supposedly he stealing something," Ed replied with a shrug.

"You told them the truth?" Desmond said in shock.

"The best lies have some truth to it," Ed said as they walked on in silence.

"Okay take a right here and head into the employee's room. Find the manager's office and from there, the safe and the apple should be in there," Rebecca said.

"'Kay."

Ed and Desmond walked over to the Employees Only door. Ed and Desmond both took a glance as they entered one at a time.

Desmond and Ed immediately pressed their backs to the wall. Desmond glanced down one hall and Ed glance down another before they both nodded.

Desmond and Ed went separate ways.

Desmond headed down the left hallway.

"That's strange, nobody's here."

"That's what we wanted you to think."

Desmond turned around and a golden light filled the area.

Ed went down the right hallway and closed his eyes and opened them.

The world went a dark navy blue and Ed stared at the hallway. Ed walked down trying to find any indication that could lead him to the manager's room.

Ed turned a left to find a dead end with nothing. Ed turned around and walked down the right hallway trying to find Desmond who had disappeared.

"Man, that bastard better not have all the fun," Ed groaned. Ed turned the corner and mentally smacked his forehead. In LARGE BOLD lettering it read:

Manger

Logan York

Ed went to the door already noting that yeah this is a 85% chance its a trap. The other 15% is split up as 10% it isn't and 5% for the unexpected like the fridge explodes. It could happen.

Ed went up to the door and the automatic doors slid opened. Ed would have jumped if he didn't notice that Desmond was tied up in the chair.

"Well you are new," a voice said, alerting Ed. He turned around and saw a man standing there.

"Logan York I guess?" Ed ask pointing at the door.

"Yes indeed," Logan said and Ed narrowed his eyes glancing at the golden sphere.

"That's the Apple of Eden?"

"Yes how about I show you how it works," Logan said with a vicious smirk. Desmond grimaced as the Apple glowed gold and the room was filled with a golden glow.

"Now bow down!" Logan roared and everyone bowed down. Logan laughed with a giant smirk on his face.

"I'm sorry but that won't work on me." Logan's eyes shoot open in shock.

"Impossible!" Logan shouted pointing a finger at Ed who was standing there with his arms crossed..

"Well I guess I'm too stubborn to follow your orders," Ed smirked before easily snatching the Apple out of Logan's hand.

"But how could-"

"Shut up and take a nap." Ed hit him in the back of the head and the apple deactivated as Ed dropped the apple.

"Ed?" Desmond said a bit confused as he glanced up at Ed who was freeing him of his bonds.

"Talk later. We got to get out of here," Ed said. Desmond nodded as they flee through the doors.

Ed and Desmond walked in and Desmond had this question on his mind the entire time but waited a bit impatiently... okay very impatiently.

They walked up to William, Rachel, and Shaun. They stood by the Animus waiting patiently for them

"So how did the mission go?" William asked.

"We got the apple," Ed said as Desmond got it out. Ed had refuse to touch the Piece of Eden after only for a couple of minutes at most so Desmond was forced to carry it. Desmond handed to it William who thanked him but it didn't really matter at the moment.

"I'm going," Ed said walking away.

"Wait!" Ed stopped and glanced over his shoulder.

"What?" Ed asks Desmond.

"How were you able to do that?" Desmond asked.

"Do what?"

"Avoid being control by the apple?"

Ed glanced down. "I don't know. The apple is something I know next to nothing about."

"It controls people with a chip in your brain," Rachel explained. Ed frowned. Okay people are really crazy.

"Okay. Well I don't have that since I do come from another world and all. That might be just that," Ed commented.

"True," Desmond admitted.

"Do you know who Adam and Eve are?" Will ask.

"Adam and Eve? Well they never existed on my side. I only heard of the city that disappeared but that's about it," Ed said thinking of city under Amestris, Xexres.

"A disappearing city?" Desmond asked.

"Don't ask," Ed said. "Anyways, we have to go and find out where the uranium bomb is," Ed said.

"I'll try and speed things up so we can find where it's been hidden."

Several Days Later

Ed walked over to the Animus. It had only taken a few days to skip another six years, after Ed had left Munich.

They had been able to skip past most of his memories, however they had been forced to witness his murder by the hands of his now-dead half-brother, Envy,

That was an awkward moment. They keep barraging him with questions mainly how he survived and how but he simply replied he did. It wasn't necessary... and it wasn't their business. It was his.

Ed went on the Animus and it started up with Rachel on stand by.

"Okay Ed you're ready?" Rachel asked while Ed stood in the white plane.

"Yeah. Just put me in already."

"Synchronization is a go."

A/N: Okay if anyone is wondering how Ed remembers certain things and not others well technically he can't completely erase his memories since its in his DNA and all that stuff. It would be like erasing a part of yourself. So Ed can remember stuff that isn't related to the uranium's bomb location or something like that..

Also Ed can recognize certain locations and people (like Juno) because they play a key importance of who to keep it away from and all that kind of crap. Besides why I make it easy when I can do it the hard way. Sorry about the no fighting part. That part will come in... (checks random blank book) next chapter I think...

Hollyleaf: I put much thought into whether or not Ed will be affected by the Apple. I did some research (which doesn't happen too often….) and I read up on stuff (which I won't tell you because it will ruin some of the plot) however I thought about it and the movie Conquer of Shamballa and it clicked. Ed won't be affected and this will also apply to Al as well. It wasn't at first about the so much as religion and stuff however it was more about Ed and Al came from another world. I actually needed something to support this idea. So um yeah….. Does anyone read this stuff I flab about?

Ed: Why would they? Its pretty boring.

Hollyleaf: Shut up!

Ed: What are you going to do about it shorty?

Hollyleaf: Hey I'm not short! At least I don't have a fricking Napoleon complex even when he's 18!

Ed: Why you little brat?!

Fight ensues in background while the FMA cast and AC cast sweatdropped.

Envy: I want to join! (joins fight and it eventually almost everyone is fighting.

Al: Brother….. (sweatdrop) Anyways since Brother is fighting with the author.
